I have worked with people (both men and woman) who were raped (by their parents or other family, or strangers) as children. It really is a living hell for the person, and many things can trigger it. I would first recommend some grounding, you don't need to get it all out today. Be patient and gentle with yourself. I also very strongly recommend some proper professional counseling by someone who is experienced with this sort of thing. Trying to do it on your own, or with someone without a lot of experience could cause some problems. There are free resources in every town for if/when it gets this bad. Also, whether it happened or not, for now, for you, it is as if it did. Be gentle and compassionate with yourself. Also know that it won't be like this forever. I have seen some truly amazing progress and changes with folks who have gone through some pretty wakeful things. But they all did see improvement over a few years of counseling and such. Also if there was ritual abuse, fortunately any energetics left over can be purified with spiritual/energetic practice. Definitely don't try to deal with something this heavy on your own though... I wish you much strength and success working through this.

I hope you find a good in person teacher for the Taoist side of things (I give that advice to everyone asking Taoist questions heh), as that can bring you so much further, more quickly. At least your esoteric background will help a lot. I also came from the more Western side of things, and more recently took up martial arts and other Taoist practices.

I have met MANY people who practice Bardon's stuff, and met many who practice martial arts and neigong/qigong. I find that the MoPai energetics/whatever you'd call it/yin qi is like the latter energies. I find these 2 energies to be completely different. Definitely interesting mention and correlation though... but personally I feel they are two very different things. I don't know about the stuff H-M works with (the other folks working with Yin Qi in this thread), perhaps yet another, or closer to the martial artists... I'm just guessing on this one though. Btw, speaking of magnetic fluid (yes I know you weren't talking about this, but still highly awesome):

Usually I more consider that they would no longer be able to screw other people over after myself (in such a situation). The many being more important than the one sort of thing.

I'm not sure why they bother, but we've banned over a dozen so far. Part of the reason is that we have had troubles with a member conning other members out of money (several hundred $$) by offering a MP manual, then never sending it, but keeping the payments. This person had created MANY accounts (he is from Australia). Our most recent MP sock puppet was just a few days ago actually. PS I'd never expect someone to know huge piles, but enough to show they actually practice the path .

PS perhaps I can quiz you a bit on hermetics; I've been at it for about 25 years, how about you PM me with your knowledge on such .

Thinking back to my earlier comment, I wonder if we can have compassion for someone, while at the same time plotting their demise?

I feel I need my fingers more than my hypothetical fish need food . My fingers help to make sure that I work enough to have this handy roof over my head, and food for said hypothetical fish... Well that and I have personally found balance is good. For a time, I was helping others a little too much, giving too much of myself and my energy, and my health suffered greatly from this. I had to tell a few people that I could no longer help them. Better in the long-run I feel since it meant I'd be around for a much longer time to help some others along the way. Also we must have compassion for *ourselves* as well I feel. Though I may have in the past bought dogfood before my own food (that month sucked), but still, I would find a way to never have to do that long-term!
