I've never found amount of students to = ability/real stuff. Think wushu classes for examples of this, compared with older passed down traditions which take more work and have less fancy fun stuff to do, as an example.

In the current modern western society such a person would be locked up in an asylum for such actions...

They train them (as well as individual thinking) out of the new recruits if they can (from what folks I know experienced in training). This is good and bad I guess, if it were a real war, wouldn't want someone making a stupid decision and getting the entire crew killed off. However with all these BS wars, a lot of innocent civilians are dying too . IMO.

In the other thread it was brought up that the 11th isn't all that auspicious (to put it mildly apparently). I'm curious how many folks are up for starting on the 10th instead? I think starting on the 12th wouldn't work for anyone with a regular m-f job.. Just checking everyone's availability on this...

MPG is VERY private about his practice, results, etc., but I am confident enough he has a grasp on things that I actually discuss it with him. He's been at it quite awhile too. I guess I don't blame him for talking about things publically, as I don't often depending on the subject either. I guess I can say we definitely keep up with each other (though disagree on some things lol), in energy discussions.

If you S-M folks think you have it bad..... You only have yin qi to debate with MPG..... I practice magic as well, and MPG and I have had many long discussions on this . You can only imagine! Somehow we make it work though. I allow him to tell me (quite respectfully) that a lot of it is imagination; he allows me to (quite respectfully) tell him he should allow more possibilities in his reality. The discussions get extremely interesting and I think we both learn a lot (OK well I do anyways lol). Sure he's a little stuck on his viewpoints, but the insight into these matters that comes out of the words surrounding the the whole yin qi statements can be quite profound actually. I just had to start this out with taking none of it personally, and not taking anything he thinks of my magic teacher personally. Then I had to move into, what perspectives does this person have to offer that I may not yet know about or have overlooked. I know he thinks my energetic healing and spirit callings are BS, I'm fine with that, and we don't even debate that fact anymore. I also tried some MoPai experimentation to see what it's all about, there is definitely something to it, which sort of surprised me. On a side note, he is right about plastic and rubber blocking stuff to various differing degrees, but we all already knew that.

As long as it has thousands of shades sure . I guess I'm just taking out a small slice of it for yin qi...

OK so I think, that as humans, on this planet working our paths, we only see part of the whole big picture (or at least the various Deities I work with like to remind me of this from time to time!) Soooo I figure yin qi is pretty damn big. I doubt even a level 72 person can perceive all of its aspects and full spectrum. So picture a rainbow put into photoshop, then the "greyscale" settings selected. (sorry too lazy to give the actual image of this). Now picture a little arrow towards one part of said rainbow with the words "MoPai spectrum of yin qi". Then picture another arrow towards another section and it saying "S-M yin qi". Next an arrow towards another section and it saying "some other system's yin qi". Then the last section and arrow "the yin qi humans can't even perceive". I'm using a grey rainbow here for the analogy of many shades of grey instead of just black and white.

Out of curiosity MPG, could you please do a character or word count in notepad of the max limit post? I'm curious .

I think that being a "walk-over" would be being stuck in the ego, self doubts, low self esteem, getting caught up in the situation, etc. We are all working on this, or the opposite of being too closed and harsh.

On a side note, I'm soooo not there; the whole compassion for someone torturing me sort of level. Does this come before or after I plot their demise? Perhaps one day. Though the fact that someone can be that open and dedicated to their path as the Dalai Lama's friend just amazes me.

I personally don't see the two as mutually exclusive. I can have compassion for the conmen (and women) downtown, but still not be naive enough to hand them money or get into a conversation with them. Or in a fight, I can have compassion for the person because they were likely beaten many times and harshly in their life, yet at the same time still do what is needed to protect myself, as I have compassion for myself as well. I can also have love for someone, but still have knowledge of whether their actions are healthy for me or not. I can love you while setting my boundaries sort of thing.

One interesting thing I have found is that some paths or workings offer power or powers at the end (or in later stages), and I'm convinced that this is something to help entice folks into practice . Since you most definitely get more out of it than the "advertised" powers.

The funny thing I have found though is that the less I chase it, the more it comes. PS LOVE working with mars/martial energies, me and my swords do anyways .
