Edit: which reminds me, I recommend anyone working on their house to checkout your local RE-Store. It is basically used building supplies, household stuff (like sinks and counters) and so forth for 1/10th to 1/100th the original new price.

Thinking about it some more... how about back to the house or 2 idea? Generally we could get a 4 bedroom house for about $200 per night... then we would also have a large livingroom! And a kitchen in case some folks don't want to eat out every meal. The being able to walk to affordable (mexican lol) restaurants is also a bonus... with retreats you are sort of stuck there with their restaurant pricing (eep!) Though we will have more of an idea when we get everyone together that said yes or maybe and have a bit of a vote and talk about options .

I read your posts earlier Skydog and would just say that yes, it is definitely important to find someone with much more practice experience than yourself and preferably from a proper lineage. Fortunately people who share or teach stuff for free or very low cost are a dime a dozen. Unfortunately, you have to be just as cautious about selecting them as you do the not so physical folks! Word of mouth is good.

Knowing Crowley though, it is entirely possible that he had some deeper meaning to simpletons, and it was made to make the magician think in some new way. It sure feels like it at the time . You feel 100% and completely connected with your HGA, the divine and all things in the universe. Also you feel this vast sense of freedom, as if you have released all things. Is there such things as being enlightened for a few hours? I think enlightenment would be perhaps being in that state 24x7, if it is even akin to that. I haven't really read any books about what enlightenment is, so I have no idea. However, I can most definitely say that I am not enlightened, but that I have united with my HGA.

The rooms which sleep 5 are 2 beds for couples and one pullout bed usually.... while I like my fellow TTBers and all... lololol. $150 for a room all to myself or $60 is quite a different figure. Also I was tempted to let a fellow bum stay in my room for free. Please do keep in mind that there are at least 4 of us (that I know of) where the $75- $150 per night price tag would scare us right off.... compared with $30-$60 shared or no shared. If it is only 4 of us though, that would be easier. I don't want to scare any bums away. We can talk more when I setup a private forum though so everyone can chip in, and we can find out everyone's budget .

I head down 2-3x per year, so I have definitely looked at many options, not bungalows though, that would be fun! The catch with Monterey is that it can get quite pricey depending where you stay. Nothing over $50-$60 per night for me though please! (Btw, I'm going to setup somewhere private to discuss the exact *where* aspect ) Either on this site or off... ) Personally I'm limited to bus transportation as I don't drive (and don't like spending $40 per day on car rental) so would definitely like at least one location accessible to all the good stuff :>. Just be careful during searches to get actual Monterey and not one of the less desirable nearby places (salinos for eg) as they also come up listed under Monterey...

Salt water, most awesome stuff ever! Aside from all the external (as you call them) negs, we also sometimes create our own. I've seen folks do it, which is.. not pleasant. Most of the affects (and solutions) you are talking about seem to be related to humans who have died, from what I have found. Accept past the desires one, that sounds different. Cleansing baths are awesome too, there are dozens of different varieties for different things, depending on tradition. IMO Robert Bruce is one of the very few (if not only one) author who actually touches on some good stuff in the spirits and other worlds topics!
