  1. TTBs meetup! :)

Yes I would love to practice some Bagua with you! OK so I read into that what I wanted to read into that... lol.
  2. Yin? (yang?)

That was cool she was so open to such things :>. I have found that with students.. if they are new or having trouble perceiving stuff, we can just connect energetically for a working, and then they can perceive and work fine... even after I make sure we are all disconnected later. Also I have noticed that folks just don't know what to look for sometimes. Perhaps you gave the person on the plane the kickstart they needed. It is similar with martial arts I have found, though not all teachers do it consciously, but there is definitely an energy exchange and help between teacher and student. Many teachers do it with the applications shown.
  3. Yin? (yang?)

Hmmm, this thread is getting a little... tense.... I recommend everyone go test out my dual cultivation yin/yang theories, with their s/o (or random stranger even), presented on page 1 before further posting .
  4. Yin? (yang?)

Arg multiquote, why hast though forsaken me? Yes I figured you didn't mean anyone in particular, hence why the smiley . I think one this small bit, we might have to agree to disagree. Though I do have to say I enjoy the posts back and forth (thanks for not getting too frustrated by these threads) as I feel I do learn a lot, even if it is by questioning every single thing!
  5. Yin? (yang?)

Different people have different abilities, from what I have found. And I'd need to re-read the insult policy again before responding to that second part . I am soooo not a newager. Seriously though... just because you (or others) cannot perceive a certain thing, does not mean it does not exist.
  6. Yin? (yang?)

And yes, the looping energy thing, that definitely makes sure neither partner are depleted, and enhances and strengthens the energy for/of both people. On a side note, it also seems to prolong orgasm in both parties . Good for building up a magic charge for the talisman, or rite, or whatever... OK so I'm getting a bit off topic now.
  7. Yin? (yang?)

Now *this* makes a lot of sense. There is a very good chance that there was some explanation of the energies in chinese, but getting it through to the English speaking folks he just thought "yin, close enough".
  8. Yin? (yang?)

This makes a lot of sense to me, thank you .
  9. Yin? (yang?)

I was curious how (in what sense) you personally experience yin energies. Yes I do work in person with my teacher, but have not asked these questions yet, yin questions I mean. Also, there are so many things which I have learned (via different teachers), or experienced through time, but do not have words, or proper terms for; definitely not Taoist terms for. I had never used nor thought in Yin/Yang until very recently .

With practice it gets easier. (trance state) though I have to say after 25 years of daily practice (skip a couple of weeks per year all together) at such things.. I still have trouble with it though. I'm still trying to figure out which days/times/phases of the moon and etc. are best for this. About the spirits thing... feel free to visit Vancouver anytime . Well or at least most people end up seeing stuff... Makes some sense about the subconscious thing, hmmmm. Also, I'm not so sure all spirits are yin..
  12. TTBs meetup! :)

Some technical info... It is far less expensive to fly into SJC (san jose) and rent a car, or take the shuttle from there to your monterey hotel. You can fly right into MRY (Monterey) though. However there are no direct flights to MRY unless you live in LA, SFC or SJC (or a couple of others in California). So you would likely have to do the connecting flight thing, and in this case sometimes it is just faster to do the SJC and then shuttle option. Also, there is one problem, and that is fog. First thing in the morning, and after sunset flights into MRY are sometimes delayed or turned around (or not even leave the departing airport) due to fog. (it's a small town on the coast). Though fortunately April doesn't have much fog usually compared with other times of year. Also if there are fog problems, trying to fly out of SFC isn't always the easiest on a major airline, since each airline gets a turn flying out of the airport, and they allow less in fog. So an airline with 10 flights leaving that evening will only get 2 slots, and another airline with only 2 flights that evening will also get 2 slots. Just some stuff to think about so the trip goes off well. Oh, and there is also a camping option at a local park if anyone prefers that idea. I will also look into which beaches we can get away with a bonfire for one of the evenings, if there is interest .
  13. TTBs meetup! :)

Oh workshops by members would be very awesome! We would most definitely learn a lot . Thank you for the offer Hundun. Anyone else?
  14. Yin? (yang?)

The multiquote thing isn't working for me today, darn. When I walk around, when needed, I sort of open up the other senses.... go into enough of an altered and receptive state to perceive energies, entities and so forth. Sometimes it just happens, but I prefer to open and close, as some people have some pretty bad energy lol. With paintings I don't usually get a feel from them, no matter what the subject, unless the painter put a lot of heart and soul into it. That is how I try to do all of my paintings as well (course I also call the spirit into each of mine, but that is another story!) To me this sort of thing is similar to the 6th sense most people get... when someone is walking behind you, when you just know someone means you harm, when you can FEEL someone is not as genuine as they are pretending to be, when a certain area in the forest is dangerous at the moment and so forth... I just sort of expand on that and allow it to be much more open at certain times. (though when I was younger, I didn't know you could close it when you want yet, it took much practice). It is possible though that I'm experiencing yang energy with this... cept the dead folks, I think I might have to disagree on that part . Also from what you have said in the state between being awake and asleep. Many folks have reported some very strange stuff during that time. I also use that state to try to do out of body stuff, and other work. It's difficult to get sometimes though, and I can't have been on the net for awhile before it, or had interesting conversations, or... etc.
  15. Yin? (yang?)

    .
  16. Yin? (yang?)

I can feel magnetic energy though . Sometimes in a quite uncomfortable manner (had to move the neodymiums out of my bedroom!) Is it possible in this sense? PS that vid is awesome! I'm still curious though, what is the energy from the stuff which I perceive as yin? Woman, the dark moon, deep night, deep into the earth (when you send roots down during meditation), cemeteries... I'm trying to understand what it is .
  17. Yin? (yang?)

I'm assuming this hasn't happened since with other women? At my uneducated, but had similar things happen guess, your energy and her energy and you and her meshed VERY well. Some amazing energetic things happen when this is the case. Now the technical aspects of all this stuff I have never had any idea about, and hence why I'm asking lots of questions . I have always just noticed things that have happened under different circumstances.
  18. Yin? (yang?)

A couple of folks mentioned people not being able to feel it, so I gave it more credence than if just one person said something... I'm trying to be more open to all possibilities (instead of always thinking I'm right lol), so trying some different stuff out . How do you perceive yin energy? I think that women might have an easier time at this....
  19. TTBs meetup! :)

ROFL. Well I have found that people in person tend to be nicer and more polite than people when on the internet, in general. I have also noticed that TTBs members are way nicer via PM and email than on the boards.... soooo... Well that and the warm sunny beaches and the best mexican food in north america, and half price chinese massage down the street should have everyone so relaxed and happy that there is no trolling, hehehehe.
  20. Yin? (yang?)

What is the energy I feel from the moon? Or the dark moon? The energy from women? The energy in the cemetery (in areas where the dead folks aren't actually at the time)? The energy from the darkness in the middle of the night? I was sorta/kinda/maybe miss perceiving these as yin, heh. Hmmm, also, this makes me think about all the yin channels in my body and how I run energy along those (and the yang as well) in certain exercises.
  21. Yin? (yang?)

There's a few dozen quotes about this in the Neigong book I'm reading . and.. isn't that how life is created? (well OK perhaps just mammal life, don't remember my reading well enough).
  22. Yin? (yang?)

I was thinking more yin, simply because I feel the new moon even more strongly than the full! Not sure where the other half of the quote vanished to, but that does make sense about moving and being still, especially the mind I figure.
  23. Yin? (yang?)

I personally see them as energies, mostly because that is how I perceive most things. I feel the different energies of people, of the earth, of the moon, of the sun, of the various gua around the Bagua, of yin and yang... and so on. Though More Pie Guy, you telling me that folks can't feel yin.. confuses me a bit... why would there be one energy in the universe that cannot be felt?
  24. Yin? (yang?)

The merging of the 2 is where the whole alchemy bit comes in... from what I understand.
  25. Yin? (yang?)

Best time for skrying, working with the dead, and all the fun magics!
