  1. "Daily" email digests come after every post

After testing it, I would say that "daily" really translates to "completely random" and "whenever it feels like it" lol. I got 2 posts as they were posted, then 3 more all bunched together, then another later on as it was posted. I'm wondering if it is relevant to when I actually go onto the board or not? The 3 in a row came in when I was off the board during all 3. I'm going to see what "weekly" does next .' I'm not entirely sure how to fix that though, some aspects of the forums just sort of come glitchy... I can look it up on the ipboards forums though.
  2. False password recovery attempt?

Thank you for letting us know the ip. Yes you were on my list this morning of accounts which had login attempts by someone trying to mess with the board. Please see this thread: http://thetaobums.com/topic/32055-password-reset-for-the-board/ for more info. That and make sure to reset your pw too just in case. Also, anyone else please keep these coming as I'm sure we don't know every account which had this attempt yet.
  3. "Daily" email digests come after every post

I'll test it out and get back to you .
  4. DuQuette still put some GD stuff in that book though and didn't differentiate. Not much though, yes it is a very good book . Goeffrey James is my fave however. Interesting what you say about not being called. Can you please elaborate? Do you know some folks who had bad experiences? The reason I ask is that Enochian seems to be a currently local trend, by magicians who work with 5 other systems as well .
  5. Since I'm just starting out, I'm going to go with 1-2 days per week for office space for the medical qigong treatments. I'm curious which days are most likely that folks would want such a treatment? Obviously most of you are not local to me, but I figure out preferred days and times are sort of a universal thing. If medical qigong isn't your thing, just think about when you would personally go in for any alternative healing/treatment.
  6. Did something happen in Summer 2011 ?

Canada does not admit the existence of Bryan Adams, sorry.
  7. Quantity of Chi - Infinite or Limited ?

Some particular areas can have very low qi, or at least very low healthy qi. Source: what I've been taught by a few diff people, and it's pretty obvious in some places.
  8. Grain free diet suggestions?

I'll get a blendtech once I win the lottery.... . Everytime I think about getting one, I instead think about Bagua lessons in California, or something else where my $500 can go lol. I found one blender that never breaks, but unfortunately the company discontinued them. Black and Decker. I'm allergic to coconut . I found out the hard way, after drinking a lot of coconut water and milk. Loved buying fresh coconuts and putting a straw in them! Ah well I can still have cocoa butter so all is good. For an unhappy digestive system I definitely recommend medical qigong (and Bagua! lol) they work amazingly well. Your smoothies sound good. I tend to add one of the greens products for extra nutrients, as well as powdered vitamins. Which reminds me, I haven't used either in ages. Liquid vitamins rock too. Then I get stuff like acai berry powder and so forth. Now I'm in a smoothie mood... I blame you guys
  9. Some awesome tendon stuff for Bagua, qigong and etc.

Adept, how are you enjoying the practice now that it has been a few months? Never quite there, and never horrible at it to begin with, just ever improving . I was reminded of these vids again this evening... they are awesome!
  10. Grain free diet suggestions?

It isn't gluten free though unfortunately (celiac), perhaps due to other grains nearby, or? I have tried it though and it is yummy. You mean wholepaycheque foods? They have some awesome gluten free cupcakes that I tried when I was in California! The no grains thing started when a teacher of mine suggested diet based on TCM. No grains, then some other stuff to go along with it. The difference was remarkable! This was even though I was already gluten free. Then I got lazy and went back to just gluten free.... and that made the difference even more apparent. No idea if it would work that well for others or not though, I think everyone is different.
  11. Grain free diet suggestions?

I really should add some recipes here: Take raw cashews (cheaper in chinatown). Soak overnight in water. Blend in blender in the morning with some lemon for flavor. Add salt and paper and other spices to make it a dip or savory dish, or nutritional yeast to make it cheese like. Add some form of sweetener (such as maple syrup) to make it a sweet dish. Can also add cocoa powder, and cocoa butter to make the best chocolate dessert ever. Or soak cashews in water, and use the water to make "whip cream". Take chick peas, add coconut milk, or yogurt, or water and patkas curry paste. Yummier than the restaurants. Can be done with tandori or butter chicken too. Take veggies you didn't get around to cooking, place in blender with liquid, yummy lunch . Beef protein powder from truenutrition (cheaper there) and use instead of whey protein powder for workouts and such. Almond meal and sweetener with an egg white = marzipan. Add some almond liquore to liven it up! Pumpkin pie sans the crust or with an almond flour crust is grain free, and yummy. (see the alternatives to mopai thread for more details on this). Take avocado and cacao powder, makes good chocolate desserts. Mush up cucumbers without the rinds, with some herbs and spices, and perhaps brazil nuts, tastes like cream cheese. Eat pine nuts lots! Pine sap too :>. Both very healthy.
  12. Grain free diet suggestions?

Yeah I'm allergic to bananas. It nearly made it to page 2 before someone insinuated my personal choices might be wrong .
  13. Grain free diet suggestions?

I'm avoiding all grains. Just gluten free would be easy as there is Udi's bread, and several good gluten free bakeries near here .
  14. Skinner/Rankine should keep their day jobs when it comes to Enochian. Seeing the original handwriting, yes, quite awesome! You can feel the energies/system coming off of it .
  15. It was really nice of James and Peterson (and Cassaubon for that matter) to do that for us . Reading Dee's handwriting was difficult!
  16. LOL is this a reply joking about the MoPai vs Enochian stuff? Or are you serious? (I've been practicing Enochian for about 25 years....)
  17. Fortunately I get emails of each post for this thread, so I got to see your original post . Oh well now that you put it in a Bagua perspective... And... working on it, thank you. I have actually managed before for a couple of months at a time (there was seclusion and specific practices involved though). The not being able to go back to it anytime I want has been the frustrating part lately. Sometimes I can no problem, but other times it seems quite illusive. It seems that the general consensus, is to focus on my breathing . So I have been working on that every time I remember. I have also been trying to get more practice time in, as that always seems to help the rest of the day. I have also been trying for 24x7 (not literally in this case) with my dantien qigong meditation. Thank you very much to everyone for the suggestions, and encouragement . I'm sure "less time on TTBs" should probably be on my to do (or is that not to do) list as well lol.
  18. for moderators

Threads and posts are never actually deleted on here. Once in a very rare while one might be hidden, but we don't delete stuff. I'm sure you can imagine how that might not go over well at all if people's posts started vanishing... I'll let an actually mod reply further though :>.
  19. Practice recommendation for a total newbie.

I'd say find a local teacher that you feel drawn to and see what they have to teach/offer. This will bring you much further than various books and vids. Also it helps in the whole making sure you do it properly aspect. Don't worry though, I'm sure others will have some good book recommendations as well .
  20. Grain free diet suggestions?

Dairy and I don't get along, at all . Though I do cheat at times, then end up with a 2 day "hangover". Even yogurt bothers me. I can sometimes get away with goat milk stuff though. Also when I spent some time in Albania which doesn't really have cows, so all the cheese and yogurt is sheep or goat milk, I did really well. (getting to try 20 different flavors of feta cheese wasn't bad either hehe). I have to say I haven't eaten stuff because folks tell me it's good or bad for me for years, instead I just go with what my body reacts best to. Omelette's rock! Especially when they involve goat cheese and mushrooms, or smoked salmon. I'd never heard of the eggs past sunset thing, interesting. I'm coming over to your house for dinner! Good suggestions. Much more varied than my "hmmm, almonds, pistachios, cashews or pecans for snacks today?" lol Smoked salmon and lox are the best foods ever I think. I have also had green smoothies which are actually quite good, but a lot of work. I'm tempted to prechop the greens and freeze them. I do like various fresh herbs with my green juices and smoothies though.
  21. Please help me figure out, day of the week for treatments ;)

Good! Because I prefer to leave the house about 1pm each day . Well that and I have my other job as well which keeps me busy for part of the day. I definitely don't plan to replace my day job, as I love it, just have something to add onto it. I'm quite happy to hear that many folks like evening treatments.
  22. Please help me figure out, day of the week for treatments ;)

Very good point about checking out when others work and have a lot of bookings. I find that most work mon-fri 9-5, and wonder if that is personal preference, or just when the most people book time. At a guess, I'm assuming the time slots of the one place which are $75 have a lot more bookings than the time slots which are $25 .

  24. 30 minute 30 day mentorships

I think this section is an awesome idea! When I have more free time, I'd definitely be tempted to ask for help learning the iching .
  25. What High Level Energetic Practices Do You Recommend?

Many masters go into seclusion for at least a time during intense cultivation. Also many practices which bring you to intense levels tend to recommend a period of seclusion during such things. I have noticed that even the native americans have this, after a vision quest, you are not to come into contact with another person, or look anyone in the eyes for a time, or they can bring you back down to the more mundane levels.
