Back then we were not editing after half an hour just because that would have been pretty unfair. So in a sense no we could not, even though the software ability was there.

I have no idea if this is related or not, but something I read this evening reminded me of this post. I thought it was pretty interesting. On a side note my roomate's tinnitus gets 100 times worse if there are loud screechy sounds around, such as a friend's canary. He has had it for decades. He doesn't meditate or do any sort of spiritual practice btw. -

We do not delete content. We will sometimes hide content, but not without talking to the member first. Perhaps it is in the pit, if a thread it was in got pitted? We also have some "sleeping" PFFs which haven't been posted in within a year. If you PM me, I'll look into it over the next couple of days and see if I can find it. (I checked to make sure you didn't have a few thousand posts before I offered lol). -

How I do such things is I'd setup the puja part, and do that for a bit. Then do my ZZ in that space with the incense still going, to be with Deity and that energy while in ZZ, but still with the main focus on the puja. -

I do a lot of spiritual type writing. I prefer to write how to's. However folks seem to like to read about a lot of experiences and testimonial type writing. Apparently it inspires them, and also lets them realize hey maybe I'm not crazy, other people feel energy (or whatever it is) too! Personally I don't like to share too many as they are in general pretty personal. However if it was something long ago, or that happened many times, I don't mind. I have also had it a couple of times where I will have some specific experience happen a few times in a row, then I will tell my teacher or a friend, and then it stopped after that. It's nice to share with a teacher or very experienced friend to get a bit of feedback sometimes, but on the otherhand, some things aren't meant to be shared at all.- 47 replies

What we want to avoid though is elitism and so forth.... I'll start a thread on it in the dungeon and see what folks think of such a sub-forum, and how it might be worked.

I took it as Celestial meaning cultivation practice.... as in folks who have a specific practice they do many times per week. I kinda like the idea, however that huge debate of who qualifies and who does not.... who are we to say that a particular person doesn't actually practice. Also, such a section might not get a huge pile of traffic... (*cries for the inactivity of my Taoist magic section*)

I always find it amazing that folks on various mystical paths doubt anything out of the ordinary or purely physical just as much as mundane folks sometimes! My most interesting are sort of personal... but I will share the ones I enjoy the most. I call them "Bagua surprises". Basically practicing Bagua (I'm sure this happens with other martial arts, as well as qigong, actually I know it does with qigong, but it is different).... not expecting anything interesting or odd to happen since I am focusing on the physical as a large part of it... when suddenly an extremely intense, or enlightening, or energetic, or just plain odd and out of the ordinary experience happens. It keeps the practice interesting, as well as insightful. I find it different than when I am purposefully contemplating, or meditating or calling some spirits, since in that case I expect a 50/50 chance something odd will happen. I do find though, in private when you find others of like mind who follow similar paths or practices, then you can share quite a bit back and forth for further insights. -
At a guess you must have posted in under 30 minutes earlier since we didn't change anything. Unless you have mastered the whole time continuum thing of course .

Feature Request: Hide Topic

There is mark forums read, but that doesn't help if there is a new post. It is difficult to find this on the searches since hiding posts as a moderator comes up in all the searches... -
OK so basically we went and changed the forum policy to only allow people to edit their posts for half an hour past when they originally made that post. This was to hopefully cut down on empty posts and some of the arguing then deleting a post after riling the person up sort of stuff. Apparently it wasn't so popular with some folks. So vote! I thought I'd add something since it wasn't clear in the title what this is about really. So basically are you OK with the 30 minute time limit for the entire board (accept PPFs of course) or not. Er nevermind, good description above now .
