  1. edit timer?

Just the comment accusing someone of not cultivating, just keep in mind the concierge team are members too so the whole no personal insults thing still applies.
  2. edit timer?

Sticking to the policy, what folks have for and/or against it would be better than personal attacks or insults would be much more productive. It is getting awfully personal.
  3. edit timer?

I remember the instance you mean now. We had been started discussing it for a few weeks before that, and that thread was barely relevant if at all.
  4. edit timer?

Not sure which instance (or person) you are talking about, but many reports, complaints, threads full of posts with nothing but "." and also just the general trouble caused by posts which insult and rile up, then suddenly vanish.
  5. edit timer?

Uhm that's 30 minutes, not seconds. Perhaps you were joking about the time limit though :>.
  6. Time Limit Testing

I can still edit my posts from yesterday, but I'm a mod and I have special powers, mwuahahahaha
  7. Time Limit Testing

Waiting half an hour to see if I can edit the above posts ... Oh boy oh boy oh boy lolol
  8. Time Limit Testing

oh wait you are talking about time limit to not delete posts, not time limit for not posting 6 posts in a row!!!!
  9. Edit - New- re "Laozi's De" thread

I was on duty, I ignored them lol, nothing personal, I had already put my couple of hours in that day . I figured they could wait for a bit....
  10. More Pie Guy's Tips On Saving Money

If you would like me to split this topic into two MPG just let me know. The lines in some posts are blurring a bit here though .
  11. I have found that when manifesting prosperity, that it works better to focus on what you want and need, than money specifically. For example if you need a new car, focusing on that, affirmations for that, visualization for that, hell a talisman for that if you want. This seems to bring about more options for getting the said thing, such as finding a car for 1/5th the price, someone giving you a car (this has happened to a few people who have specifically done work on manifesting a car), or perhaps a friend just letting you use theirs 5 days per week until you get one. This works really well on other stuff too, such as "make sure my kids get into a good college", "me living in a comfortable house", "travel 3 times per year" and so forth. Actually I had an interesting one.. I hadn't been on an international vacation in a few years due to lack of funds. So I did some metaphysical work to make sure I went on one that year. As it turned out my income didn't change a huge amount that year, but a client did fly me overseas to teach him for 2 weeks (then let me use his spare condo on the beach to vacation in for the other 2 weeks). I was quite happy how that worked out :>. It is also likely that if I made enough extra that year for that sort of vacation I would have spent it on other things lol.
  12. Chronic fatigue from doing qigong

Here's an interesting analogy... say for instance there's this guy at my local gym who benches more than most, can run 5k without noticing, and works construction. Extremely healthy. Also lots of yang energy. However if he has something off with his channels or somewhere, say a blockage, as well as having a excess condition (which can stagnate qi just as much as a deficiency), if he were to do an hour and a half per day of qigong instead of lifting and cardio at the gym it would likely do him in. Most especially if he started out with an hour and a half. It would be like having something stuck in garden hose. If you run water slowly through it for a bit it might just clear up, or at least the water will likely get through. If however you leave the water running for an hour, especially turned up high, you are going to likely get a hose which looks more like a balloon when you get back . That is my understanding of things at this time. Well also don't worry about what the label says on the bottle (of vitamins) or cover of a DVD.... if we were all the same and worked the same way there would have only ever been one qigong system, one healing modality, and only 10 types of medicine in the world. Personally I give something new a month, if it doesn't work after that, I move on, or adjust as needed, or go find some expert. (anyone want a bottle of adult gummy vitamins mostly unused? lol) Also, the person who posted saying he couldn't run 10k, that's only cause he hasn't worked up to it and slowly trained for it. And a majority of running injuries are from overtraining (or wrong shoes for that particular person) unfortunately. I'm liking these running analogies... I went and had some professional training when I was doing running, to make life easier on me; it really helped, and no more shin pain thereafter either. It seems silly to get pro advice on something like running, but it really did make a difference.
  13. Hmmm, some further ponderings... how about working in one of those fields, education, research, various creative fields, or spiritual (priests of churches do get paid a little bit). In the interim I mean, for a better quality of life within the present construct... while figuring out how to get past it. Btw, More Pie Guy, 80 hours per week?! Do you own your own business? Or just have something extremely important you are working towards/saving up for? (not like you have to answer, I just got curious).
  14. We have gotten more automated over time, and unfortunately it hasn't led to more leisure time. I would think society would need to change in some other ways too, value systems and such. Also, as long as folks still actually still physically moved around... I'd hate to see the world's health if we were even more sedentary!
  15. Chronic fatigue from doing qigong

Hmmm, are you clenching your sphincter a bit during practice? That is a common loss of qi thing that can really tire someone out. It all leaks out! I was making that mistake for a couple of months, and was surprised at the difference. I have personally found going to the gym easier on my CNS than some qigong, just because some qigong goes deeper. I would say do 5 minutes per day, then after a couple of weeks 10 mins, then up to 15 after a month... I had a student like that, that was all he could do (he's up to an hour now after a year and a half and doing awesomely) However it sounds like something isn't working quite right there for you, there's so much we can't see over the internet, can't see where and how the energy goes with you, what your energy system looks like, if you are somehow turning it all into hard qigong (that would be way too long if it's hard qigong)... and etc. Also, make sure you aren't rushing ahead past step 1 :>.
  16. Chronic fatigue from doing qigong

Some forms of qigong actually take as much out of you as running does, but in a different sort of way. 2-3 hours is a lot! Even an hour every single day is a lot if not worked up to it. Also I'd say get in a few sessions with someone in person to check out your qigong, and discuss this with them to see if there is anywhere you might be going wrong sort of thing.
  17. When I look at folks from various income levels I have not ever noticed that amount of money is directly related to happiness level or joy. People may say it is, but when you talk to people and see how they are feeling each day, it doesn't seem to matter.
  18. More Pie Guy's Tips On Saving Money

All of my neighbors do so much vegetable gardening that it looks like a park around here nearly . They all have greenery up and down every single fence and throughout their yards. (me on the otherhand is happy that my rosemary, and rue are doing well lol). We have a push mower too, those things are awesome, so quiet. I really wish my neighbors would get some.

  21. Beware the crockus!

As I was searching around google I found this interesting story about some evil plants. No really. http://taobabe.wordpress.com/black-sorcery-and-ng%E1%BA%A3i/ http://taobabe.wordpress.com/ngai-black-magic/ I thought the story about the guy being thrown out of the bed by it was interesting though . That must be a pretty useful plant to give up one's master bedroom for it. Scary is that apparently the blog author has gotten many requests asking which exact plant this is, and the author even provides the spell. I guess a few folks are trying to go for the Darwin award this year. "Hey this plant, it eats eggs and blood too maybe and can be known to seriously harm it's owner even, the spell is very dangerous and only to be used by very experienced and high level sorcerers where the information has been passed down" "oh hey cool, so what kind of plant is that again?"
  22. Beware the crockus!

Wow I had somehow missed that, thank you. Though I think I'd personally stick with a bonsai . This definitely gets me to thinking about the various possibilities of "spirit".
