  1. Is Sifu Jenny Lamb a legit healer?

I just remembered, Taoist temples, as well as Catholic churches (should be at least a couple in your area would have someone who can do such things) will sometimes get rid of entities for a small donation.
  2. Is Sifu Jenny Lamb a legit healer?

Works even better if you unite with the Divine/Dao/God/Immortal/etc. first . If you have a particular beleif system which works with something like that I mean.
  3. The thread going off into inflammatory conversation and no longer anything but a bunch of links and videos for post after post is what sent this particular one there. The discussion was no longer civil, or useful as it plummeted into what was no longer civil discussion. It is unfortunate, it was going well for the first page and a half. Btw, the pit can still be read by all members, so not censorship.
  4. Immortals are White as ice

I'm not sure if it is still this way, but at least in the past the skin whitening creams contained lead . Lead is the purest white colour. It is also what traditional painters use for white. Edit: Lead, not so good for immortality in that form!
  5. Is Sifu Jenny Lamb a legit healer?

There is no such thing as "the only person" who can do a certain thing for you. Btw you mentioned trying Bagua. Have you asked your Bagua teacher to look your energy over and recommend some specific Bagua to fix things up? Usually there are certain practices within Bagua for each thing which needs to be healed or worked on.
  6. I find my dayjob much more important than copying and pasting bits from the forum rules. How about you just go read through the forum rules on your own if you are in such a hurry .
  7. HI and my goals.

That is very unfortunate . You might also look into qigong and/or taichi teachers for some of the information as well. Yes I agree though, we are very lucky in this day and age to have access to so many resources, many books, videos, youtube, forums!
  8. I think it has been mentioned elsewhere, but Sean originally meant to have it set so no threads are started in the pit. We only recently realized that this wasn't the case.
  9. HI and my goals.

It is a sad sad day when folks start to beleive that books and videos are better than their local teachers.
  10. Immortals are White as ice

An interesting note is that many Chinese folks prize light coloured skin. They even go so far as to make sure to have their umbrellas up all summer long as to not have a darkened face at all. Many of them take it to extremes and won't allow their children to play outside until the sun goes down! Darker skin is lower class or something along those lines. However white folks are the lowest class possible. So perhaps the person/people putting some of the stuff down in written form were from the areas which prized lighter coloured skin. If this was something to be prized, well obviously the immortals would have it .
  11. Hello everyone

This must be Mantak Chia week! Welcome to the forums.
  12. HI and my goals.

Some of the stuff you wish to practice really should be taught in person. You might find this thread interesting, well or at the very least you can read the reasoning for in person training http://thetaobums.com/topic/30104-mantak-chias-iron-shirt;-good-or-bad-practice/?hl=%2Bmantak+%2Bchia Btw, welcome to the forums .
  13. Making text larger, bolder and bright red does not help your argument any. Someone isn't going to agree with you just because it's "louder". On a side note, we were very fortunate here in Canada to have the current Enbridge project not approved recently. Of course there will be more in the future though; it at least sets a good precedent.
  14. TV

I'd say just talk with your teacher and let him know what is troubling you. That is what he is there for afterall, to help you learn. Also I would trust what your teacher says over random strangers on the internet (myself included) .
  15. TV

Yep, that is what it is like being new. No worries, things will improve! If the form you are learning is also on youtube you can use that to help the memory thing. The most important thing I found is to practice the new movements you just learned, the bits you remember I mean, as soon as you get home, then at least once per day everyday until the next class. Yes a teacher is absolutely necessary in the beginning IMO, less untraining of bad habits to do later! That is if the class size is small enough you get the odd correction from your teacher.
  16. BK Frantzis - Taoist Energy Bodies

I see why google may not have been a great help to you, an amazing lack of results for that search. Try searching for weigi fields instead . Jerry Alan Johnson's medical qigong books are my fave... It's in the first one. Which must also mean that there are some traditional chinese medicine books out there which also cover it. The older ones perhaps. I haven't studied this nearly enough to know which ones yet though. As I understand it most moder TCM schools don't put nearly as much focus on such things. Also some of the standard Daoist classics must have this information in them. (clearly I need to do much more reading, and more memorizing of what I read lol). The books attributed to the Yellow Emperor would be one of my guesses. And, I would think most books on QiGong would cover it. It's been awhile since I've read through any though. Some of the martial arts books may cover this as well. Perhaps a google books or amazon.com search, many newer books have a search inside feature.
  17. Some awesome tendon stuff for Bagua, qigong and etc.

I know what you mean by the wringing out feeling, I love it when you feel like you are wringing out your entire body . In essance you are, from a medical qigong perspective! Bagua has all that spiraling stuff, there's a lot of feeling like one is a wet towel being wrung out. Well for me at least.
  18. Some awesome tendon stuff for Bagua, qigong and etc.

Well not everyone wants difficult work your butt off qigong . Also, perhaps it's difficult to teach in a large group class? And I wonder if it is still there within some qigong? I have been to qigong classes where there was no such mention, not even a hint in that direction! Same with Taichi classes. Others locally have experienced the same thing. I have talked with people who have trained with many teachers over a decade or two, they they had never before heard of the torquing sort of stuff, or even similar concepts. Then some other folks start to cover it day one . Youtube has some 8 brocade with no such thing *cries*. Next I gotta go look up some awesome vids on sinking to post!
  19. Some awesome tendon stuff for Bagua, qigong and etc.

It would make your 8 brocades practice 1000 times better! Much of the qigong taught these days leaves this aspect out
  20. Some awesome tendon stuff for Bagua, qigong and etc.

Yes those are in there. Stand in such and such posture, and torque, then torque some more, then once you have torqued as far as you can, torque even more!!! It's a good reminder! When I circle walk I will often forget to torque as far as possible.
  21. Etsy is an awesome place to sell such things; people searching on there are actually searching for different stuff like that as well. Make sure you have a photo first though (make one).
  22. Some awesome tendon stuff for Bagua, qigong and etc.

LOL I was wondering, I seem to recall them taking up an entire day when I first watched them . Have you seen the Xie Peiqi stuff as well? I really enjoy those. I don't practice Yin style myself, but when they speak in principals and foundation stuff all is good.
  23. Some awesome tendon stuff for Bagua, qigong and etc.

I would say more that he puts into words what many of the Bagua teachers teach . You watched them all in 13 minutes? I'm hoping he didn't put up shorter versions or something? Edit: I checked, they are the full length ones... you mean you scanned them... yeah I do that with lots of books. I do recommend a full watch though, very good vids!
  24. Daoist Alchemy: Jerry A. Johnson

Having......a.......difficult.....time......reading.....more......than.....a.....few.......pages..........at........a.......time.....! lol So much info, so dense with material, and the layered meanings of things..... Have to meditate and contemplate on certain sections. Seems to get even more so the further into the book. Could just be me though. I don't recall this same difficulty with his medical qigong books or magic books, though it is the same writing style. I'm getting a lot out of it though. This could be why there are less reviews for it than people saying they received it.... lol.
  25. Daoist Alchemy: Jerry A. Johnson

Now I'm curious, do you happen to know other resources for Hunyuan Neigong? Or maybe you just mean he didn't list his sources.
