  1. Ethical Hexing

Ohhh I like that one, and would really hope for blowback . Actually I should go do that one on all my cranky neighbors, and just hope that they have good protections up.. LOL. Nicer than hot foot too!

and talk about the person's opinion or teachings they are referencing that you find incorrect, instead of making it about the person. This is one of the first things we were taught for being really efficient in communication. Do not every make it about the person.
  3. Help us help Buddhist Discussion

Yeah I know, we let armchair practitioners have equal say here... However I actually prefer that over one person, or politics deciding who is right and who is wrong. I think it's a good thing Sean came up with that early, since the forum has gotten to large to really do it any other way .

There are a few basic rules to cursing, to make it work well, and to have it actually get further than your own aura. The first one is don't curse when you are angry. There are a few reasons for this; you are more sloppy when angry, most people regret it later in life if it works (never have regrets), your emotions about such things is what attaches the karma to you. Oh and don't try the block off emotions or have no emotions stuff to get around that; that just puts it deeper into your subconscious and really can fuck you up. Most magicians kinda freak out the first time someone they cursed ends up in the hospital or dead. I've seen some who are a little messed up from the guilt decades later because they think they killed someone from a curse early on in their path. It's a little different to think about how one would react, than watching someone get really messed up from something you have sent to them. Also unless you have been properly taught, it can end up a lot like sitting in a compost bit for a bit to huck the rotten fruit at people. All that said, here's the fun part, life situations just keep repeating themselves, until we figure out what it is about us that attracts them. If you find yourself cursing often, it is you who are likely the problem. On a side note, if you have an asshole neighbor or coworker, cursing them just leads to their life not going as well and thus them becoming even more of an asshole due to this lol. PS for everyone else reading this thread, don't worry too much, most magicians can't throw a good curse if their life depended on it..
  5. Help us help Buddhist Discussion

If I corrected the folks who spew random dangerous ideas they just made up last month, on the magic forums, it would be a 24x7 job. I gave up a decade back lol.
  6. Befriending Money

When you spend some on something, tell it to make sure to return to you swiftly, and bring its friends .
  7. Help us help Buddhist Discussion

So it's sort of like walking into the hermetic and occult section and calling everyone a bunch of newagers? Can you explain your last sentence please? What is Dzogchen? How does it differ from Buddhism? Why is it not Buddhism? Btw, from what I recall it was the Buddhists who were cringing at the thought of moderating the Buddhist section lol.
  8. Help us help Buddhist Discussion

That would be awesome! I had lots of fun with such a discussion in my PPF before.
  9. Help us help Buddhist Discussion

That's the most recent issue.... However I have seen all staff run and cringe when asked to moderate the Buddhist section, with mentions of it being troublesome for years... so I wonder now if what you mention is an ongoing problem, or there are some other issues?
  10. Help us help Buddhist Discussion

Well crap, that would mean I can't post in this (very interesting) section anymore (#4) Love the rest though!
  11. Is John Chang really that hard to find and train with?

Actually there aren't many paths which don't have something within them to get rid of entities. No reason to go hunting down some impossible to find teacher, or obscure path for something as basic as that.
  12. Longmen pai retreats in the UK

Retreats not run by the lineage head for 2/3rd the price of those run by the lineage head? This might be a bit of a hard sell...
  13. Help us help Buddhist Discussion

So how come the Buddhism section gets so much worse than the other sections? Anyone have any ideas?? Why does it become worse off than Taoism? Taoism must have just as much to argue about, hell we never did figure out exactly what qi is, or where the dantien was .
  14. Dzogchen: Visible evidence of progress!

If everyone ignores the posts and posters which one feels are trolly, then the convos could run much more smoothly.
  15. Help us help Buddhist Discussion

Starting sentences with "in my opinion" or "on my path" could help . Well that and there is nothing wrong with allowing another to get the last word in!
  16. Dzogchen: Visible evidence of progress!

Did you see the awesome vids where some nuclear physicists explain it (nuclear physics) to HH? Aside from them talking to him like he has a low IQ and is young of age, it was pretty awesome.
  17. Dzogchen: Visible evidence of progress!

That is a curious thing, do you think it is a good or bad thing she is experiencing? Odd stuff isn't always a good sign. I personally figure she likely came in with that ability or different wiring.
  18. Dzogchen: Visible evidence of progress!

Could you folks please save the rest of us some time and highlight the posts which give actual detailed information (instead of just saying the other person is wrong), thanks .
  19. Am I being selfish asking the universe for what I want?

I find that you always get what you ask for; sometimes it just takes quite some time. Generally by the time what we wanted manifests we find we don't want it anymore. The trouble is, in general we don't know what we really want. Lots of introspection, getting past yourself and meditating on what you truly want and need is a good first step. If you are busy wanting 100 different things and always asking for them, that can be distracting and taking away from better thought out things though. Sort of like if we spend our money on expensive coffees everyday, which can add up to $2500 per year (inc tip), well we could have bought a new stereo or used car with that. It doesn't work out exactly this way obviously, but you get the idea. It is where you put your focus... The fancy car idea mentioned above by Spotless... sometimes people will get all specific like that as a test, of their skill, and just of magic in general. Sometimes it works out to the amazement of the person, and othertimes being to specific kills it. I have personally found that being less specific "A really reliable car that I actually like" tends to make it easier for you and the universe to manifest it.
  20. Am I being selfish asking the universe for what I want?

Reading some of those old Greek spells, it's rather obvious that they don't/didn't at the very least .
  21. A timely reminder for the taobums

Starting a new thread to win an argument and belittle someone (yet again), awesome!
  22. Balance in taoist practices

Dispersing of excess is just as important as building up. Finding a teacher is the best way to go .
  23. Hopefully it hasn`t already been posted.
  24. No Pants Yoga

I'll just summarize then lol. It is a video clip of a bunch of completely naked man doing yoga and meditation and breathing stuff... but somehow with all of the moving around, they managed to do the angles right where never once do you see something you shouldn't for youtube, even though there are 10 guys in the room all moving about! I was amazed by that personally. They most definitely were doing pants free something that sort of resembled yoga at the very least lol.
  25. No Pants Yoga

Now I know why all the aussies move to Vancouver (Canada!)
