  1. 3 reasons why enlightenment sucks

I figured it was more tongue in cheek than anything else . (in case anyone couldn't tell from my first comment...) 1. I would miss TTBs 2. I would know better 3. No more squishing mosquitos
  2. Magical Madness

I think one of the main dangers with magic is folks doing practices they are not yet ready for, especially without guidance from a teacher. Or mixing and matching systems too much. With qigong, it seems more about just making stuff up and moving energy in random ways, or forcing it through. And well I wouldn't say not advanced enough, more like perhaps didn't try out the particular practices which could lead to troubles? Or perhaps you have a sufficient foundation for most things. If you are really curious though, I would recommend the Gran Grimoire or the Hollenzwang .
  3. Magical Madness

Actually made properly (without essential oils), the cinnamon, myrrh and galangal (French recipe) steep in olive oil.. so doesn't actually burn at all . Other cautionary measures involving essential oils include: do *not* put the entire bottle of van van in your bath, 1/3rd will do. If you happen to put the entire bottle in, rubbing oil on yourself will stop the burn faster, water will not.... Also, don't annoint all the chackras with cinnamon essential oil!
  4. What the hell is the abyss anyways?

ROFL Looks to be the "there goes your diet" demon... .
  5. I checked, nope. *whew* lol Basically the standard fare for a magician going through their first few years. Similar to the books, but you get feedback and guidance from what I can tell. Sorta free, is crowd funded, so the teacher can do that instead of a day job. Neat idea.
  6. 1. Actually yes very. 2. Robert Bruce is quite the expert on such things, I recommend reading some of his work. 3. Most likely pure chance, wrong place at the wrong time, saw or experienced something terrifying that your baby mind couldn't handle very well, and it stuck with you over the years as night terrors. Traumas are sort of like this. Also possible you just had some nasty entity around you over the years. Why you? Usually it's just random chance. Or someone you were living with was putting off some pretty bad energy and thus attracting things. If it is resolved not something to worry about to much.
  7. Magical Madness

Interesting . Speaking of orgone, have you ever tried building an orgone accumulator? Pretty amazing things. My theories (inspired by others I have spoken with over the years) are based around grounding, or in the case of folks who practice magic, lack thereof. Most of the energy all sitting around the head area from the practices (over intellectualizing about the practices likely doesn't help much either). Getting magicians to feel from and focus back into their body really does help a LOT. Also good ol exercise, which just isn't as common as it should be amongst magicians for some reason. Hey even the monks at Shaolin temple were taught martial arts... I have had more than one expert mention that the only reason I likely stayed sane throughout my practice (I've delved in more deeply than most) was how much exercise I did. I would hike and or bikeride for at least a couple of hours per day, my entire life. Then I took up martial arts. Though I also feel that having teachers to guide me, and tell me when I had my head firmly planted up my arse, also helped a great deal . Speaking of which, I feel self guided study is quite dangerous. Sure for a time perhaps, and after being taught for awhile, but solely self guided, not so much. I've seen the results of that time and time again, and have come to the conclusion that we are not good at self evaluation when in the middle of a situation, especially when energies are involved. How about qigong? Just as many dangers I think...
  8. 3 reasons why enlightenment sucks

    1. What is seen can't be unseen 2. But, but, I was having fun! 3. No more slacking lol
  9. 3 reasons why enlightenment sucks

    Nailed it .
  10. 3 reasons why enlightenment sucks

Nah, read #3, it's a 24X7 job . (even prior to any enlightenment stuff)
  11. 3 reasons why enlightenment sucks

So putting some thought into this.. I was wondering, hmmm are we just training up for one day when we get all enlightened and such, or? Then I thought about people I know who are much further along the path than myself (I have no idea if they are enlightened or not, I just know they are more enlightened than I am ) and the difference between them and myself specifically regarding the 3 things above is... I feel it's a chore, I cringe when I get yet another text message asking yet another question. Well OK not always, I do love helping and teaching, but other times not so much. These enlightened (or at least a good way there) folks on the other hand take immense joy in helping and teaching others, being on call 24X7 even, and the responsibility that comes with with the practice! Yes, yes of course we all do, but I mean they really do, every essence of their being sort of way. Basically enlightened folks (I figure) are past all their crap, as well as past anything being about themselves whatsoever. So none of those things would be a burden.
  12. What the hell is the abyss anyways?

Is that a direct reference to my Daemon hot cocoa ritual? I'm not sure if I posted about it on here or not... it started as a joke, and well we thought it would be a good idea. Daemon seals etched into squares of chocolate! Free trade organic chocolate of course. We also added some milk, raw sugar, and maple liquor .
  13. What the hell is the abyss anyways?

I had forgotten about that! lol First there is the fire from the neighbors who thought they were evil. Then in another house, they burned them themselves. Then they tried to hide them inside a false drawer. Then a heap of them were used to wrap fish and pies.... But I guess any entities which can manifest a physical skrying ball in front of you, can probably decide if your diary notes are going to survive or not. My teacher one day strongly suggested I write them in code. Well we saw how well that worked for Soyga MS 7. Anyways, this all really makes me wonder what is missing? At a guess how to use those 49 damndable 49X49 tables to start...
  14. 3 reasons why enlightenment sucks

Well if this is the case, you have just confirmed it, I'm most definitely enlightened! or something... lol
  15. What the hell is the abyss anyways?

Yeah I've had some "divine revelations" with Enochian magic too.... I had been reading too much Grant at one point and thought I'd go venture into the aethyres and see if there were any "inverted" ones! Ah youth.. ROFL.
  16. What the hell is the abyss anyways?

Thank you for bringing 307 up; would be nice to read a historical account of an Enochian working. Oh this is frustrating, my Sloanes are on other hard drives... stored somewhere. I also have some on actual microfilm! (307 isn't on the microfilm though). So I'm not sure whether I have it or not. I will have it soon though if not. I'm also interested in reading Ashmole's Enochian workings.... but a lot to read through to find them. I hear they aren't very exciting, but still... would save money on rat traps in the spring perhaps. I love Turner's book! It really does help to figure out the whole Enochian map and the aethyres thing. I was fortunate enough to team up with someone who's hobby is historical maps from various time periods. He helped me figure out what Dee meant by each area/country, and translating it into where it would be in modern times. All this talk of MS, I think I should go burn all my magical diary notes now, just in case! lol
  17. Science is far far behind. Mathematics used to be considered occult/magic and thus evil, back in the day lol.
  18. Magical Madness

and one must skirt around and just barely miss madness, at least a couple of times anyways, to get anywhere decent! (imo)
  19. What the hell is the abyss anyways?

I think as far as Enochian goes, everyone already knew that was a system by someone else. All I ask is could he have not mentioned "hey I changed a few things here"? But I think maybe GrandmasterP was saying that ol Crowley uhm "borrowed" the whole Chronozon thing from the Enochian MS? Was that name known before this (I seriously can't remember now)
  20. What the hell is the abyss anyways?

Hmm, Sloeane 307, don't think I've read that one . Who was the author/who's handwriting? Dr. Rudd.... I could start an entirely new rant about him.... his lining up the 72 Goetia (because he never found the Pseudomonarchia Daemonisum version of the Lemegeton I guess) with the 72 shemhamphoresh *grumble*. And the whole bringing in some goetia stuff with a bunch of fancy 666's on the ensigns of creation... oy vey.
  21. What the hell is the abyss anyways?

Well since you put it that way, probably not something folks should brag about. Bragging rights instead should maybe include "yeah I found the away *around* it on up to Binah!" So if this is a Crowley creation and egregore, would it be sort of like wandering around in Crowley's own "spiritual insight, or, meglomania"?
  22. What the hell is the abyss anyways?

If he was the reincarnation of Kelly, it is quite clear that he didn't bring his previous memories with him...
  23. Magical Madness

This should keep me busy for a bit, thanks for sharing . Do you bring up the point that it is sometimes difficult to tell the difference?
