  1. What is the longest you've ever meditated?

I get excruciating back and knee pain when I sit for awhile, so no. Though it is likely I moved about a bit during that 4 hour session, and just didn't notice it......
  2. What is the longest you've ever meditated?

4 hours *once*, but that is only once, so I wouldn't really count that. There were a few 2 hour ones. In general 1/2 an hour to an hour (working up to more again). I really like that a bit longer than an hour mark, I get into a good place/state/whatever about then. Btw, the reason I lasted 4 hours that one time is that I hit a really good altered and connected state right when I started, and things just lasted 4 hours .
  3. That Dark Side stuff

This is for SotG and Nungali http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3mDLsyn6ns
  4. If 'astral travel' works; how come it's not on TripAdvisor?

I've done meet on the astral rituals with others, they were fun . You just have to have a symbol, or place or something, so you all know where to meet.
  5. Lower Dantien Heat and Pain, Please Help!

A traditional chinese medicine doctor should be able to help if it is either energetic, or more purely physical, or both. They can at least perceive and diagnose a lot more.
  6. Death, Dying and Next---- Thoughts & Speculations

Proofs of heaven, huh? There's a lot of wandering deads still here, who think they are still alive. It is unfortunate. I think we reincarnate, and I've had some past experiences which would lead me to beleive that I have at least .
  7. Relaunched: neigongforum.com

Paid hosting can be $3-$5 per month, not to expensive .
  8. If 'astral travel' works; how come it's not on TripAdvisor?

Btw, if this was in Hermetic you might get more replies, on that path pretty much everyone APs, or at least tries their best to...
  9. If 'astral travel' works; how come it's not on TripAdvisor?

What you are likely referring to is not on the astral plane, but travel on the physical or really close to the physical, where you can compare it with physical checks afterwards. However the astral plane in particular warps and shifts a lot, and as most people with experience in it say that it really does deceive. Many experienced folks say that it is not something which people should put to much focus on; it is more like just going on a nice vacation or something, than coming up with anything useful. It is interesting and fun to explore, but not very practical. Though what many magical orders or lodges will do is have group workings where they all AP together, and come back and compare their written down experiences (write them down first so there isn't suggestion). Also what many will do is explore a particular are, then compare their experiences with that written down of the so called masters of that particular path/AP/area they went. (never read the description before as that puts suggestions in, imo). Prove it? We haven't even proven qi exists yet to the population at large! lol
  10. If 'astral travel' works; how come it's not on TripAdvisor?

Some folks end up returning with something from their AP actually... very very rare, but say once or twice in your lifetime sort of thing . (also folks who have been doing this longer or have more natural talent, than me lol)
  11. If 'astral travel' works; how come it's not on TripAdvisor?

How I do it is... walk there, fly there, or will myself there. I find it similar to a lucid dream actually. You know how you sort of "wake up" in the dream and start to be in "control" of the dream and can do things consciously? With AP, you can also "wake up" and decide how it is going to go. The other option is to go a bit less deep in the altered state that you use with your AP practice.
  12. If 'astral travel' works; how come it's not on TripAdvisor?

Where we go varies, it could be an astral, mental, or etheric plane, or one of a few others. It could also be within ourselves (always fun, since if you go deep enough into yourself you end up coming out into whatever plane you wish, and I mean above and beyond your own constructs and self). Some of them are analogues to the physical, some of them actually *are* the physical plane (though this takes a special sort of talent to be any good at it, from what I have seen).
  13. What can feminism do for men?

  14. Through extensive IP research and questioning via PM, I feel that Tongkosong is who/what he says he is.
  15. Do you have any recommendations about what could be done about all this? Well yes I know what your obvious answer would be, however.... I don't see a huge interest in MP in whatever form, dying anytime soon. Take up another path that is open; well with about at least 20 other paths discussed and offered on this forum, they don't seem to have enticed most of the MP posters. Go find a teacher in something, anything; unfortunately most don't have access to any where they are (myself living in a large city and who travels I'm skeptical of that claim, but maybe); they still are enticed by MP. Just stop talking about it; I think the staff pray for that each night, but... lol). So suggestions to the community? (now personally if I was asked this about my own path which is not public, on a non-compassionate day I would talk about Darwin's law; on a compassionate day... I give them a lecture and try to entice them with some semi public version by another path).
  16. I replied in PM. He has a few accounts on here . (well *did*) Thought I would save everyone the trouble of digging stuff up, no sense going through all that again.
  17. A lot of it was over the phone actually... but still not in person as you say.
  18. What can masculinism do for women?

Oh I don't beleive masculinity is a social construct, I beleive that how society expects men to play this out as one though. Instead of honouring how you guys really feel you get all these societal dichotomial expectations.
  19. Some human immortals do leave the realm of humanity, from all I have seen, been taught and experienced. OK perhaps only 1 per 100 years, but still .
  20. *dreamy look* siiiggghhh, if only I could get *my* students to practice 5 hours per day.... *sigh* .
  21. What can feminism do for men?

What I'm finding not very helpful in some areas of this thread, is the either or thinking. It's not like we can't both embrace feminism, as well as embrace empowering men. It doesn't have to be one or the other. Just because we are looking into what can help women be considered more equal, doesn't mean we can't also look at what we can do to have men be considered more equal. It isn't a competition. Bringing about more knowledge about some of the actions and thinking which make women inferior, shouldn't degrade men. Sort of like focusing on how being gay is OK (finally becoming acceptable in the USA), doesn't mean that we are trashing on heterosexual love.
  22. Joe and Ken, there's a lovely forum which is great for trashing on one another. It is against board policy for me to post it here, but I'm pretty sure you know where it is .
  23. IMO posting that in public would be highly disrespectful to Jim, who didn't wish it to be public.
