The last post is awfully phallic in nature .

It made it to page 11 with no suspensions or bans and not the pit; not even locked!!!!! That is really good for a thread on most topics.

Feminism helps men in the fact that they only have to pay half the bills now .

I knew a 30 year old virgin. It was mostly due to lack of social skills and being to shy. Well also the fact that his parents told him all throughout his life how evil sex was.... but even dating, he was to shy to approach women, to even say hi, or talk at all. Actually out of all the guys I've been friends with, the ones with the good social skills were the ones who had the most dates, physical appearance being nearly irrelevant! (no I don't mean the fancy how to pickup chicks social skills, I mean being able to talk to people in general sort).

I'm not being sarcastic at all actually. I'm a left hand path (as well as right hand path and no hand path) practitioner. I also know of several other members on the board who add such things to their practice, but won't ever post about it because they are worried about getting trolled or put down.

There are assholes who use deception and powertrips in every gender. It is unfortunate we can't all just be forthright, honest and respectful. Btw, one obvious thing that some folks may have missed is that the guys who treat women like crap always start out treating us perfectly, are really sweet, and etc. Not like they come up to women and act like a jerk at first. No they wait a few months for that (or weeks depending). Wait until the women has fallen for them, then act like their actual selves. (seen many friends fall for this; I've fallen for this). And yes of course women do it too, act all sweet and innocent, then turn into a screaming banishee after the guy has fallen for them or gotten married. *Sigh*, interpersonal relationships.

Anyone read that "buy a woman a book" thread? Yeah I don't read any women vs men threads on TTBs anymore. This one seems somewhat peaceful though, read the last page since someone posted who always has good posts. One day though, women will make just as much as men, and rape culture won't be so prevalent. One day judges won't say "no means maybe" and one day we won't be judged on how we dress. Btw, anyone notice that women were never taught a lot of the martial arts or spiritual paths back in the day? (no women monks, huh?) Though the West is doing better than some other places. A woman can't even do business transactions for herself over in Egypt (wtf? seriously?) PS guy bashing is just as bad IMO though.

How about a Left Hand Path section?

The "Official" Mo Pai & "Things You Might Not Know About Real Mo Pai" Thread

Has to be some natural talent in there too, from all I have seen. Like with the piano player example, many people even if they trained all day everyday, could never become one of the greats, they just don't have that natural talent. Same goes with chess, neigong, painting, etc. Each individual has a different set of talents and things they can naturally do better than anyone else, as long as they put the time in. One has to have at least *some* talent for something to get to the master level. It does take a lot of training on top of that though. -

I think that while the system is extremely important (most stuff has been watered down over the centuries), that it is equally or more about the practitioner. I have met some practitioners who I've seen make some pretty watered down crap work extremely well! I have also seen person with legit teachings that couldn't pull much off. Now if you get a combo of the two things, then wow, just wow. But it is sort of like anything else, how many master piano players are there in the world? 1 in however many million... -
I often will practice my one legged balance standing, or check my txt messages while in line . Sometimes neigong too...

But, but, but, only 2 mopai people have showable powers... I'm just messing with you Ken, personally I see things quite a bit differently, and you can just *tell* when someone has some power/abilities or not. Sometimes folks will teach a bit of Tummo stuff on its own, but it doesn't work nearly as well all by itself from all I can tell... -

You know, I'll bet the fact that you were neutral and treated them human beings, really made a difference, even if a small one. Many people feel as though they have never been treated as an equal to others, ever. I mean folks who hadn't even done anything of that sort. Also, I've noticed that all the folks I worked with who did terrible things to others, all had even worse done to them . There also seems to be an energy that follows from person to person, from abuser to victim, it is odd, and hard to describe, but, definitely there, to someone who can see. I still like this way of going about things though http://thetaobums.com/topic/32421-songs-and-honoring/ . Imagine if every culture started this when folks were young... -

So I have been working on compassion lately. I have also been working on my anger lately. I have also been working on even love and compassion for assholes lately..... However I was sitting on the bus the other day and picked up a local newspaper someone had left behind. I found a story on how a child pornography ring had just been busted and several children were rescued. They had used infants and toddlers in pornography which went well beyond softcore even. Yep, all my training went out the window for a bit. Then I just focused on internal balance for myself. Perhaps in my next lifetime I can work on compassion or loving for people like this. I didn't go home and curse them all at least... -

So so odd (for me) to hear someone explain such a deep and profound experience all analytically and in extreme detail. He does pretty well at explaining the unexplainable, but to me personally explaining the deepest and most profound of experiences (more than just a quick few words) tends to take away from them. I've seen people talk around them in some books, and that tends to work better IMO. -

I worked with such folks at a treatment center for a year. We took a different approach then other treatment centers. We actually cared for each person as if they were a real person and they mattered. They were teens in this particular one. Seeing the transformation from day 1 until the first or second year when they were allowed to go on their way was incredible. It's amazing how different a good environment, and them working on their stuff can do. The horror stories of what they had personally experienced though, yikes. I definitely learned a lot during that time, and picked up some interesting help people work through some intense stuff skills. It is definitely difficult to hate a certain type of person when you find out they really are just like everyone else, but just had so many things in their life that broke then down completely, in a very negative way, over and over and over. However:
