  4. Gathering questions for an interview with Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson

I would sometimes like to sue karma (how most people view it I mean).

    Normal people are boring.

Soooo, you are asking Tech if you are normal? So the workaround is.... you go to content, then to the left of the list of all the threads, you can click on view by posts .
  8. Gathering questions for an interview with Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson

Very good question :) . (PS I've run into more than a few "healers" who do more harm than good).
  9. I'm really hoping Apech will start this one, since he did so much last time we interviewed folks; nice organizing . Perhaps some links to your old posts and/or giving us the run down of how you went about it? Also a bit about structural ideas would be cool. I don't think anything is set in stone really, but borrowing past ideas does really help... I will write up a little something as well (but not today), about how to ask folks for interviews (and how to get ahold of the right people to ask, if it is someone quite famous). Also a bit on interviewing. Anyone else can chime in as well. This is an ideas thread only. Any debate or off topic posts will end up at some random place on the board... that is not here .
  10. ...

I had another member with that problem too . I'll have to bring this one to Sean... In the meantime, if you guys can PM me what you would like your signature changed to, I can do it for you.
  11. Gathering questions for an interview with Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson

I can't beleive no one asked the Jesus in your heart question??!!!! Dr. Johnson, you have created quite the ruckus on our board by stating that you have Jesus in your heart, during a radio interview . We were sort of wondering, how does a Daoist have Jesus in their heart, and does that interfere with Daoism at all? How do you see Jesus, and how do your beliefs work out between the two philosophies? Though I'm very sure someone with more knowledge about Taoism could word this much better... I just wanted to throw the idea out there .
  12. Non-English section?

Love the idea! Though modding that section could perhaps be a nightmare! I'm not sure if I hope admin/mods go for it or not .
  13. Questions for interview with Ching Sung

Fortunately Ching Sun has a good sense of humor .
  14. Gathering questions for an interview with Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson

This is already partially answered on his website I think (thought it is entirely possible you would like clarification and more detail). The order is here: http://daoistmagic.com/guide-to-buying-books/
  15. Daoist Alchemy: Jerry A. Johnson

We have started gathering questions for the Dr. Johnson interview, head on over to our Questions section of the Interviews area: http://thetaobums.com/forum/355-gathering-questions/ PS we are also gathering questions for the Ching Sun interview. We are voting on the best questions via *likes* .
  16. Would love some more folks heading over to vote on the questions which folks have asked .
  17. Questions for interview with Ching Sung

.... and would the concept of a copper grounding wire attached to your perineum help at all? This sort of thing has been used in centuries past with orgone energy and the like as a grounding wire, so similar methods are used by some practitioners. What do you think? Might go over better .
  18. Questions for interview with Ching Sung

I'll try to reword it into one question here . Feel free to reword my rewording since it was originally your question, and it is sort of fun to have the different people's writing styles with all the questions... OK here goes "On our forum over the years one of our largest discussions, as well as debates has been about yin qi. Apparently this is more difficult to cultivate, yet very important to neigong practices. We are curious as to your viewpoint about whether it is cultivated from the earth in particular, the moon, or perhaps both? How this is best done, and and if one needs to be in contact with the earth to do so?" Yeah it's more like 3 questions still, but not like we have 100 questions for him, should be fine .
  19. Questions for interview with Ching Sung

I think I would reword this as: Many of our forum members do practice some form of sexual retention, whether it be short term, long-term, or perhaps just 100 days at some point. How important do you feel this is to one's practice, and do you feel it is necessary? Or would you prefer I leave it as "What about retention" and leave it open ended for him to elaborate on?
  20. Gathering questions for an interview with Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson

    4. Since you emphasize the importance of working through your stuff and clearing it out prior to, as well as during the neigong practice, what ends up being the result of someone practicing Neigong without doing this important aspect? What happens to them/their spirit/the fetus?
  21. Gathering questions for an interview with Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson

    3. Can folks practice your methods and practices from the books alone without any additional teaching? Are there problems they would run into from doing this?
  22. Gathering questions for an interview with Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson

    2. Many folks do practice more than one system of qigong and/or neigong, and may wish to incorporate (though during a separate practice time), some of your exercises or practices. Is this possible? What are the risks?
  23. Gathering questions for an interview with Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson

    1. If a person only has half an hour per day to practice your system of Qigong and/or Neigong, what would you recommend they focus on and start with? Is it safe enough for folks to work with your system in this way?
  24. This is the split thread, from JAJ book review thread .
