  1. 300 Year Old Carved Tibetan Skull

You could try talking to them/it to find out . Humans talk much more than oxen usually....
  2. Knowing him, he probably feels being anonymous would be a lot of fun . Please head on over to the thread linked above and post your questions folks...
  3. Questions for interview with Ching Sung

I didn't see this one coming, not at all . I think I can figure out how to word it in one question, but also asking the important aspects . I'll post my ideas about it after more questions come in (as there might be more along these lines).
  4. The first interviewee is a bit of a character . He is also the most humble person I have ever run into! Different approach, but hey, it will be interesting to see where it goes...
  5. There are some really good posts about page 15 or so too lol. I was just taking care of *future* posts mostly . There are lotsa staff here with move privileges (don't use split it won't work to get them to this thread), if anyone wants to sweep up a little . Hmmm, move out of the pit, sure. Someone had mentioned pit so I figured... glad to move it over to Taoist though?
  6. Daoist Alchemy: Jerry A. Johnson

I have started a new thread for the interesting derail we have come up with... http://thetaobums.com/topic/34524-is-jesus-legit-in-taoist-practice-or-no-off-topic-derail-from-the-jaj-neigong-book-thread/
  7. I figure the discussion can continue over here. I'll move a post or 3 over too later on.
  8. Please come post your question in the thread I linked above .
  9. Thank you very much for adding all this Apech! I like the collate similar questions thing. Though I'm personally going to try to leave the flavor of each poster in there, since I think it is pretty neat that each person is so unique and asks questions in their own unique way.... I guess we will see how many we get too! I'm thinking there might be a LOT come JAJ interview time .
  10. Yeah that was one of my concerns, only 94 views on the ask questions of Blue Pine topic.... hidden away in a sub section, hmmmmm... I am tempted to post a mention to, and link in general...
  11. Apech (to bad I can't tag people in this heh), how long did you tend to leave the ask questions here posts up with previous interviews? A week, 2 weeks? I would like to have enough members see them, but also not leave the person waiting to long...
  12. I have this nice post all prepared with information about him... though it looks a bit like a promote the hell out of JAJ post.... finding some balance in that maybe, heh.
  13. I was trying to surprise you guys, and was going to post it next week LOL. Question section for Dr. Johnson coming soon...
  14. 300 Year Old Carved Tibetan Skull

I take it you weren't staying at the 4 seasons?
  15. Daoist Alchemy: Jerry A. Johnson

I can do a split and pit next week... though I feel the odd post stating why JAJ (or ANY author) isn't 100% super awesome, is important in any thread.... but don't need the book review to be 99% that sort of thing either... Of course if *I* split it, it is likely some would say "bias" and I'm not saying they would be wrong LOL. Any other staff have nothing to do for a couple of hours?
  16. Daoist Alchemy: Jerry A. Johnson

Zongyongdaoist, I just wanted to mention that I very much appreciate all of your posts on TTBs, and definitely do hope you keep it up, as I learn something from each one, even if it is a back and forth like in this thread, your posts still teach something. So yes the effort is definitely worth it, at least I think so .
  17. Daoist Alchemy: Jerry A. Johnson

Aw man, I was trying to surprise you guys, as well as wait until all the questions and focus was done for the first person we are interviewing... Anyways, Dr. Johnson did say yes to an interview . More details to come in the interview section. Though I don't want to take the steam off the one we are already prepping for.... (also Dr. Johnson asked if we could be a bit patient as he's really busy right now).

  19. What's the deal with Tin Foil?

    Sorry, couldn't help it...
  20. Questions for interview with Ching Sung

I'd like to *like* this about 10X .
  21. Questions for interview with Ching Sung

The last 2 questions sum up what I really wanted to ask, as there are so many folks who just don't have access to a teacher, unfortunately. OK I'll have to think up a new question now .
  22. At a guess, any being working towards spiritual awesomeness and such, *should* have Jesus in their heart, and Buddha, and the Dao, and Qwan Yin, and Tahuti, and Thor, and, and, and.... or perhaps just none, but definitely not close off their heart to any particular one. (note that I am far far away from such ideals and happy with it lol). Does it really matter what name or lack of name we put to such things? If dude prefers a name, so be it. If dude's name is different than the ones I use, oh well, as long as he's unconditionally connected, all is good. I doubt the Jade Emperor is complaining... While I personally feel JAJ could perhaps have better taste in names he uses (), I don't feel he's lacking anything in his practice, nor that it is something I couldn't personally use with my very different names .
  23. Questions for interview with Ching Sung

Awesome questions so far . This might be difficult to narrow it down if everyone keeps asking ones like this! So please *like* your faves (saw this idea before in one of the question gathering threads hehe), so I can tell which ones are the most popular. Though I do have to say OldChi your questions fit his personality exactly (yes I know him somewhat).
  24. The Shaolin Temple is hiring! No really....

I bind books... If you use acid free paper, ink, glue, thread, etc. they last a VERY long time . You have no idea how long it took me to find a printer which takes acid free ink! When writing in books I use chinese ink usually. I have a book here from the 1700's that isn't in too bad of condition.....
  25. The Shaolin Temple is hiring! No really....

Usually due to wear and tear of the originals, though non-flash photography would work. That is what most of the libraries are using with their really old books that they don't allow in circulation. Could also be an energy thing? Hand-written is much stronger... hmmm....
