Scientists: The woman who 'can leave her body at will': Student sheds light on the strange brain activity involved in out-of-body experiences
BaguaKicksAss replied to SonOfTheGods's topic in General Discussion
Personally I go more for "was that bruise left in the right spot on the person's arm?" sort of proof; no idea if the cards thing works or not. Lots of fun ones are to go wander around into stores at night in a part of town you have never been to. Then go there the next day to confirm what you saw. Or with friends, if you visit one another while OBE, confirming how each person entered and what they did upon arriving sort of thing. A magic group I was part of would do some fun experiments and all OBE to the local coffee shop after it was closed . Though with OBE, much OBE are on the astral plane, which is quite a bit different than the physical, not many folks can do physical world OBE. With astral plane you more have to go to certain mapped/charted areas, then check the books afterwards (not before) to see if what you ran into is accurate. Also a group working can be fun, to see how many folks got the exact same thing. Lucid dreams I find that most are just super awesome dreams with a message or watever, or a good way to work if you have enough control of it. Though a few lucid dreams I have found to be actual occurrences. Aside from this, the line we draw between dreaming/OBE and this so called "real" physical reality is sometimes a finer line than we realize if we allow ourselves to open up to it and see. PS you soooo have to do your neigong practices while lucid if you can remember! -
Most of my day is working, coming up with new ideas/projects for my work, Baguaing, emailing for work, going to learn lapidary, teaching..... it's sort of nice to just sit back and read a few posts about interesting topics and talk with those of like mind for fun throughout the day to take little breaks .

Just because you personally don't see or experience stuff is no reason to insult and ridicule those who do. What part of "spiritual forum", not "forum of skeptics who don't beleive in anything" did you miss? -
How does someone tell if a Tibetan skull cup or Kapala is made with real skull?
BaguaKicksAss replied to mewtwo's topic in General Discussion
With that particular shape, it could easily be an animal skull. Well that and the skull decorations around it make me suspicious. I've never seen a legit one like that before... and not the standard decorating style as far as I know. A taxidermist would likely be able to tell you. How come *my* friends don't give me old tibetan skulls? -

http://www.vancouvertrails.com/trails/the-lions-binkert-trail/ Thinking about it, I would really love to go back to the mountains of morocco again and hike around there a LOT more. We did more driving than hiking when I went years ago. Some amazing geodes up there too .
-
Age Sage, I would be more than happy to show you some amazing hikes in PNW or BC if you ever come up this way! PS circle walking up on tops of mountains is AWESOME!

The Weirdest and Most Useless Furniture Money Can Buy.

My ex mother in law quite honestly has always thought that I sacrifice babies and eat them. I would be more likely to have her sit on the cactus chair than be at the wet paint table . -

What is the load capacity on that cactus chair? -
Is it odd that I've never had an extremely strong kundalini experience (that I'm aware of), but had lots of other neat stuff happen, and have been practicing for a couple of years?

I like mountains, mountains with deep thick forests . I was tempted to move to be in the same city as my teacher, only two things held me back; cost of living there, and the hiking just isn't awesome!

Is Goetia now 'popular' ?
BaguaKicksAss replied to Nungali's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
I had started Goetia work about 5 years into my practice. Fortunately I had had a couple of teachers before then to help me figure things out with magic in general. Though the Goetia stuff didn't get strong until years later when I had a teacher for that specifically. The Enochian was quite strong at the time though, perhaps due to the help of my Enochian based teacher's help at the time. Speaking of which, Enochian is increasing in popularity as well, but not quite as sudden as Goetia for whatever reason; it has gone more slowly and gradually. I have seen what happens when people start grimoire work to early on, and it isn't pretty. Hmmm thinking about this, many many magicians are looking into the ATRs (African traditional religions) as well as the magic paths surrounding them. I feel this is for much the same reason they are looking into Goetia. Unfortunately though with the ATRs, it is really difficult to un-initiate, or just leave... From all I have seen they don't really have a dabbler option, or they didn't last I checked... this may have changed now though. Said reason being power, and wanting something exciting, different and unique. Btw, thank you Zhongyongdaoist . -

LOL OK I think I was confused. It was 11pm one minute on my phone and my computer, then 10pm the next minute..... I had text messages at 10pm that came in at "10:36" and were listed after a phone call at 11pm... As long as I wake up by the time my employee gets here Sun morning it's all good . I'll change the title of this thread... -

Just because someone doesn't have the specific skillset to OBE doesn't mean it isn't legit, many other people are able to. I personally can't jump that high or far (I am talking mundane physical plane stuff) so I think I'll no longer beleive in jumping... -
Fixed, thank you .

IMO dead wrong on several things. Makes me wonder if the author has tried the methods that she discusses? I figure from the wording the author has found a method which works for her; but wow, what she has to say about other methods and how they work or not really really makes me wonder.

I live in British Columbia.... need I say more? I guess I would just say that in general various beautiful ones around the world, but I don't travel specifically for hikes, more like ask where the good ones are when I travel for other reasons. Though thinking about it, I'd love to go hike around the areas the guy who did the Amongst White Clouds documentary went . With a translator would make it even more fun. A tent and someone else to carry my water, even more so!

What should one do/think of while walking?
BaguaKicksAss replied to TheExaltedRonin's topic in Daoist Discussion
While walking I tend to think of: Rooting Sink Focus on ldt and sink qi there Tailbone tucked under just a tiny bit Head up, chin down, neck straight Yes I mean while walking down the street .
