One would hope that with your superpowers meditation skills in said situation (or real life for that matter after another 10 years of meditation), insects would barely bother you .

Oh I'm not doubting that someone would go unbalanced with rage at having their family killed and go on a killing spree (it took a lot of willpower to not go do in the person who murdered one of my family members).... I'm doubting the whole obliterating an entire village from a distance thing.

I think I was getting folks mixed up, and rambling on while forgetting the full story... the guy who lived on the island is who I was thinking of... From what I recall the one who murdered all the people didn't have any superpowers that were talked about besides being able to blast an entire village. While that is a power I guess, it isn't one which is very useful in this day and age. As an aside, I feel the probability of that story being true as told is not enough for me to take as fact.

It is too much responsibility to never have a greedy or bad thought ever. To on neutral thoughts 24x7, but it feels like a LOT of work, and feels like a bit too much sometimes. It doesn't sound as enjoyable as one might think, as you mentioned above. Also even for things one would love to get into that state and use it for... the universe would talk about how it is the person's karma and I can't fiddle with it. I'll just stick with "can pull off some neat stuff from time to time" and "awesome strong connection with my Deity" thanks .

It is really odd here in North America. Everyone who does practice various supernatural things and magic hides it. This is especially in the USA. You have to always keep your affiliation with it hidden, and when you practice keep it hidden (many have lost their jobs when it was found out). I feel fortunate that I personally don't have to, but that is because I work for myself, or my employers have always not cared. Also as you said, folks here don't believe in it, for the most part. It was really interesting when I was visiting Haiti, everyone over there believes AND it is socially acceptable! You will see people performing a spell right on the side of the street, a huge bonfire and ritual in the cemetery, with folks selling offering supplies there too, peristyles all over the place not hidden.... It was really nice to see this different atmosphere. Also it was nice to see that most didn't fear it. I have traveled to other countries as well, but there is a strong muslim influence, so while there is belief there is also unfortunately much fear. I know a couple of folks from Indonesia and the belief there is extremely strong as well, which is pretty neta. It would be interesting to visit Malaysia one day... but then again how you describe it sometimes, I'm not so sure lol.

JC was just my example, as many members of the forum seem to quite like him . (personally I'm more impressed with his teacher and his teacher's teacher.... if they actually exist as written; I'm always quite skeptical). Pretty neat that they can make stuff happen over there. It makes me wonder why folks here generally can't? Are there less dabblers and more people who practice a good deal of time everyday over there or something? Money seems like #1 when you are low on food or worried about rent... but really health and healing is far far more important. Though folks in their 20's likely wouldn't know this yet .

Yet the most important question has not been asked.... Is it good fried up with a little butter and garlic?

That's pretty neat . Perhaps I should talk with the Deities I work with about something like this.... There must be a LOT of healings during that time!!!!! Probably not to many sick people in Malaysia?

Definitely not the same region, or practices, but there are caves which were temples, up behind the parthenon in Greece; amazing energy. Not many people seem to find them, so you can spend a decent amount of time there . There are also old caves in Haiti, each one dedicated to a different Lwa. Then the Berber caves in Morocco, though I think those were more just for living in.

First I'd check to see if it was allowable, then if so I'd heal the cancer of a few folks I know or know about (sometimes it isn't meant to be is why I would check first). Then I'd heal myself. Then I'd go practice Bagua .

Or for those who think JC isn't all that, what would you do differently if you woke up one day with demi-god powers . Though you may have noticed my other example was just watching every single thing you think about manifest.....

You would have to come to peace with it . I woke up one day with no magical power. It sucked, couldn't do anything energy wise. All that work for all those years for nothing.... After about a week of that I got over it and thought oh well. It was definitely an interesting experience. But you just adapt like anything else... wasn't the end of the world when I broke my leg either. First week sucks, after that you adapt. Though living to be 90 and not being able to hike up mountains would be quite the bummer. Fortunately I've had 90 year olds pass me on the mountain trails so there is hope . I should probably practice some more...

Oh the darker folks meditate just as much as the lighter folks. (keep in mind I tend to avoid dabblers of any path). Either like it, get intrigued by it, get influenced by stuff it attracts, think they have cleared enough out when they are only halfway done, get stuck at some major point and turn in a different direction (not everyone makes it through the rough patches), or perhaps just have a different path to lead than most.
