Not always.

Your post made me think of something important... being tested. I would trust someone more who was offered and/or tempted towards "the dark side" and who made their own decision to not go blow up villages, than someone who was just following what they are "supposed to do" or never had that challenge/option. Though I guess we are tested throughout life, then even more so once we start on any energetic paths.

While I agree.... for the most part... and seen it happen.... I have also seen some high level very dark and very unethical folks live very long lives and be able to do quite a bit energetically. Also asking some folks over on the other side who still have some powers and awareness, and still use it all for some nasty stuff... how long they lived might give an interesting answer. Not saying such people/beings are happy, joyous and content, but not all of them are suffering all the time either. I still prefer option A. though . I'm definitely not advertising option B. (not many can pull it off or survive it, and most end up pretty messed up by the practices), just saying that it is a reality.

Oh alright, it goes deeper as well... aside from some stopping faking being a nice person.... most people aren't used to having any power, and feel as though they have no power their entire lives. So then they finally start to get what they feel is power. It is really interesting to see how they react to it and work with it. Some are very careful with it, they don't want to screw up. Some do all the stuff they have always wanted to do (which sometimes isn't very nice, and involves getting back at people or society). Some people realize it is there, and use it as a motivation to work on themselves and increase their spiritual practice. Some run and hide from it and quit. Some use it to help others. Different reactions from different people, depending on who they are, how they were raised, how they have lived their life and been treated by others.... Also I have noticed that having power doesn't make people feel any happier (even though they try to tell themselves they are), any less stressed, any more comfortable with their lives, or anymore enlightened (unless they use it to work towards that). I have fortunately also seen many people come into power who do quite well at it and with it. Sometimes there are a few bumps along the path (how would anyone learn otherwise?), but then they do quite well.

More like they stopped faking it (in my opinion).

I can't decide which is worse, some of the stuff they do in their ceremonies (it's not a path I understand much), or them allowing their sacred ceremonies to be filmed to be viewed by westerners to scoff at and mock?

I would agree with this is how most end up... but I probably wouldn't use the same wording... I've never seen an internet forum or group come to a consensus on the definition of the word "spirit" ever!

So in the entire history of the world and high level power, how many times has someone who wasn't already a an asshole used it to decimate entire villages, just because their family was murdered? I know right; yet people do it everyday in the name of "war", or being a drone pilot. Mo Pai dude felt pretty horrible about it afterwards from what I recall, and had to spend several years in seclusion making up for it. Not that that helps at all, just thought I'd mention even he didn't think it was a good idea, when all was said and done.

Here's something funny... it's sorta kinda on topic, and rather amusing . I recently had a student say this, and it is something a few have said... "I come to train with BKA to learn black magic and demon calling; and here she has me working through all my internal stuff and becoming a better person" They all like it though . I just tell them if they don't work through their stuff before working advanced magic, they could end up in the asylum. That tends to help convince them. I don't do anything, I just tell them they have to work on their stuff. They tell me they have done that, they are already done. I just suggest that perhaps there's a little more. Then a just work with them normally for a couple more weeks....... Then it all comes up and out..... They turn into amazing practitioners though!

I've trained a lot of people, most turned out really well, the odd one went the other way. I think TG is less likely than most folks to go in that direction (from the personal stuff I know about him). Not impossible of course, but just less likely than most.

I think what it does is amplifies who you are already. One way (for a teacher) to find out what any student/person is truly like is to put them in an extremely stressful situation and see what they are willing to do, and how they react to it.

I have seen/met quite a few advanced people with extremely questionable ethics who have definitely made it past the first few stages of energetic ability to do stuff. We could hope that folks like this can't make it, but in all reality, some do. As one example, why do you think that there are folks out there who do/have to specialize in curse removal (just one not so nice use of energetic stuff). There's also assholes who practice internal martial arts quite well.

Some paths/lineages only teach others who are genetically related (or sometimes those who marry in), that goes even further than an entire race...
