I might be heading over there, to do some teaching. Generally with this type of thing it is more up to my host where I will be staying, going, doing and etc. due to my complete lack of knowledge of the country, as well as being very dependent on their location. This time, ahead of time, I'm hoping to get a bit of know-how about the country, so I can do a few side things while I'm there. Fortunately when I was flown over to Albania it went better than I could have expected due to my host wanting to show off his....... entire...... country (and all the castles) to me! Also I asked for a different return date so I could vacation on my own while there. I was loaned an apartment on the beach! I also hit Greece since the last area we hit was so close anyways . However I don't know my host as well this time, so who knows how it will go. I know even less about the area of Norway than I did Albania though. Also anything to be cautious of while traveling to Norway? Thanks in advance for any Norway recon .

I have been fortunate with some open minded tattoo artists. They allowed me to bless the ink and light a candle prior to the tattoo. Also in one case they allowed me to take the bottle of ink home overnight to place on my altar . Yes, yes I know it's only one calendar, one which most here likely don't go by for spiritual stuff, but still... personally I take every excuse and opportunity possible to bring about some positive change . Anyone have any for the upcoming year? Also, here is a tradition which we follow on my particular magical path. On new years day (January 1st) what you do during that day sets the stage for the entire year to come. So for example we would relax a lot, eat well, especially lucky foods, spend time with family and friends, and so forth. With this in mind, I have always found it extremely funny that most people spend it hungover . I don't think anyone has to try particularly hard to figure out what I will be doing on that day!

I looked up the average temperatures there by month. I will be going in July or August . Too cold the rest of the year! The person hosting me lives about an hour outside of Oslo. I did notice a LOT of nice trees around on google earth . Is it possible to get around norway by transit? How is the train system if I want to head over to sweden to check it out? The most expensive places I have been have been in a switzerland and the amsterdam airports! Thank you for the warning, I wouldn't have thought of that, and it will definitely be important when I quote a price. So what do people do in Norway? I don't like touristy things generally... more natural wonders. Is there enough private space out in nature where one wouldn't be disturbed? How are the beaches? How jam packed is the area? I live in an area which I thought had a lot of people and was very busy... until I traveled the rest of the world!

30-60 minutes per day outside year round is easy enough.... going to work... grocery shopping... social outings. Have to get to and from there. PS I don't have a car . I tend to walk to the gym, so get my outdoor time in a lot. We also train martial arts and qigong outdoors around here.

I think it is a matter of practice. Well OK and start in the spring an work up. I can take the garbage out through the back (20 feet) for most of the year... lol.... and it is no special talent, it is conditioning of my feet due to being to lazy to put shoes on on the way out . I think we can do a lot of amazing things just from exposure and conditioning. For example people in alaska in shorts and tshirts at -20, but putting on a jacket at -50... I would have 10 layers on at -5 myself . (Celsius).

Nothing like dude is doing, but I was walking around in a tshirt yesterday while others were huddled up in jackets. Not a big deal during the day, but as soon as sunset hit the temperature dropped rapidly. So I put on my jacket. I was the only one during the 20 minute wait at the bus stop which wasn't noticeable uncomfortable due to the cold. It's even more handy when there is snow on the ground and it is below freezing. I find it to be a very handy skill. Btw, I'm just talking about ldt work that seems to cause me to be WAY warmer and sometimes even sweat just standing there and freezing temperatures.

Even better, just read a book .
