What can not be created or destroyed? what can not be made more pure or less pure? We are surrounded by creative energy but this needs the receptive to be complete. So it is all yes and no, such is the divided mind. When we look to nature for answers all becomes obvious with no thing left to question. So before embarking on this journey I would recommend becoming a whole real person and not be a dependent of outside authorities that dictates ones life.

Jin is manifested in the physical world.you can see the effect on an object. If one uses spiral jin and sends the opponent spinning its called spiral fa Jin. If one is practicing silk reeling it is potential energy no Jin when one uses silk reeling to unwind the opponents force then it is Jin. Yes it is all word play, the true mercury and true lead is non physical, essence and life. The medicine produced is non physical..What happens spontaneously is called no method. Once self disappears the primordial awareness is opened. There is no skipping steps that is why methods are good but once you drink your tea you do not need the cup any more so it is more about letting things go to reach a level of awareness. Most techniques are like road blocks unless you move them out of the way. If you see Buddha on your path kill him, that is a fun saying and word play at the same time.

Sorry to burst the bubble.All contrived and manipulating methods are consistently pointed out as not the method of direct transcendence. These secondary methods are great practices for the physical body but what transcends physical form is the point of internal alchemy. Do not use the ingredients of the temporal body to make the elixir of immortality. Use secondary methods for longevity of body mind

Because there is no method we get 14 pages of useless information. Those that claim a method are called spiritual capitalist like Ben and Jerry's Ice cream are hippie capitalist. The funny part is that we are all immortal not more in sages or in others.It is only a matter of remembering. Where do you come from?....I don't know..... so you come from the unknown. The masters are not concerned with written material for those who like to read. Doing is knowing, knowing is doing. This may help, Chi gung for physical awesomeness, Nei gung is immortality training, internal alchemy, in this case Jing has nothing to do with a physical substance produced by the body. Intercourse is that of essence and life.There is nothing to manipulate or regulate. Cook yin and yang like how cooking transform things in the material world but it is not a physical substance produced. Internal alchemy can only be taught with a direct transmission by a Master, it is a personal matter and not for discussion for the most part.

Awesome thread opentao and I am glad you have pointed out the difference between Immortality training and energy exercises. Many warnings about thinking vitality, energy and spirit are physical locations and the visualization among all other exercises of manipulation that have nothing to do with immortality training. Thank you for a fresh breath of air to the current non spontaneous, contrived and manipulated exercises thought to achieve immortality which is so wrong and the confusion it brings to this forum. Chi Gung has its purpose in this physical world and I practice regularly but it is not the method to the direct, open, transcendent way of immortality.

Medical texts describe the process of digestion,absorption and elimination as occurring naturally with out people having to arrange them. Similarly the true energy in the body rises and descends, starting from the source and returning to the source, naturally having its own place of abode, what need is there for people to visualize it in order to arrange it? If one thinks basic energy is located in a physical aperture this is incorrect. Imagine putting things in a vessel you only have so much room before it is full,now imagine using the whole universe as a vessel, infinite space with no inside or outside and the boundaries melt away. Using the temporal (limited) points in the body to understand alchemy are bad ingredients, it is important not to use them. This is called an affliction not medicine. The affliction is source of the illness.

I would agree that sexual vitality and vitality are not separate..Jing is simply one of the three treasures we are born with, it comes from non being to cultivate this increases our chi and learning not to waste this energy on temporary things. Energy turns back to vitality during sex. Non being, being we enter the primal not concerned with life or death and definitely not holding on to stagnate energies from semen retention. The whole mess is an affliction that keeps one from entering the real. The medicine is produced with the tranquil calm mind devoid of self image or ego gains. To become POWERFUL is a major affliction right there.How can one begin the true training? When there is separation of self and others the mind ground is not ready for planting the seeds of immortality.

A quick read of practical Taoism will clear up all the confusion and mis information on this thread as concerned with alchemy. Any system that relates sperm or menstruation as Jing a temporary and physical substance can not even begin to enter the real we need to get rid of the false first... physical, temporary and changing manifestations and settle the mind which is like an eye even a small piece of dust causes irritation same with mind. The culture I was born in had no point of reference or any system for understanding what happened to me and how I should proceed. I lost interest with the amount of mis information and practices posted that can be harmful and not Taoist in origin but a fusion with polluted matter. My hope is that people find true teachers and not take advice from those who poke around in the dark, delude themselves then believe it so much they try to delude others. Then on the up side is valuable understandings and great insight by a few members here that type. So I like to read but my involvement lessens not moved to act in positive or negative posting, warnings never seem to reach a ear full of noise.
