Well, basically, but often just recognizing the situation can lead to this. You likely already have, and the dream was an illustration of that.

More interesting posts! I don't wish to speak about the people involved in any detail. I'm relying on the dream itself for insight. What's an 'appendage'?

Amassing enough for mansions with heated pools, hot tubs and limos in the heavens. haha.... While a lot of Americans are struggling, some of these 'teachers' are really living the American Dream. Most of them aren't even originally American. Joke.

Hi K, Could you elaborate? You have a person who narrated your dream, what did they sound like? Is your mother an evil witch? My gut says its your subconscious way of resolving the issues with your mum and the way she treated you in the past. Either that, or youve given her too much power for issues in your life that you yourself want to resolve/ need to resolve in order to grow.

What they said.. I can't wait to have this dream for myself! lolz!

There was a bit of both. But I'm not a particularly high-level cultivator, I LOVED Liminal Luke's and Taomeow's posts. Curious about where these dream categories might be to be found today.

Can Kundalini "burn up" entities?
DragonsNectar69k replied to CrunchyChocolate555's topic in General Discussion
I don't want to disenfranchise any one, but in my opinion, I have seen this A LOT. "Give me your $$$ and I will take care of all your problems." Most of this stuff you can do yourself and a lot of people know this. I tend to call it spiritual dogma. It is becoming a problem here in America as well. Certain cults and shaman's seemingly looking to make a quick buck off of those who are not in the 'know'. This is something I can expand upon as I have seen both sides of the fence. Yes, people do need to make a living and yes entities can be a real issue if one is not careful. Mind you, why initiation is still regarded as the most important step in some schools of thought. Being an adept mean's one must learn on their own and learn from simple mistakes at times. When you give up your power, you are actually surrendering your ego. Don't get caught up in the BS and having some one else hold your hand. You will know if you have a terrible entity if your life is turned up side down or you are constantly being attacked every night in your dream state or your health takes a rapid nose dive, then yes please seek help right away. The key is self-discipline and living a plain life for a while. Conserve your jing. Practice mindful awareness. Stay in 'holy places'. An entities main focus is wanting energy. Hence porn sites being riddled with these things. If you ever become aware and are able to lucid dream or wake up, you may experience what I experienced. I HAD to quit porn because I began to realize that I was being possessed by random entities after jacking off every night. It's all these little entities want, energy, they are like crack heads. There are also mages and sorcerers who work with and conjure entities/demons to do their bidding. But one can easily google about plenty of people getting shafted or burned by thinking they can control the spirits they conjure. Like I said, some spirits are highly malovent and can be considered crack heads concerning energy. Hence why some mages and sorcerers literally lose control over their subject. Many will tell you to STOP your practice all together. I believe such suggestions to be fear related responses. It is up to you to believe in fear or not. Mind you, if you have ever had an encounter with a higher being, fear is something they do not cultivate, nor can you even imagine fear while in the presence of a higher being. This is important to know and experience because one can only over come fear through understanding. Higher beings ARE very understanding. Take this situation of having an entity and learn what works and what doesn't. THERE IN, IS YOUR POWER. Wake up, and take it back. Also, if you happen to believe in a pantheon of any kind that is benevolent, mind you, ask for an energy infusion and cleansing. Sometimes it is as simple as asking ahigher beings that you are seeking to learn and grow and are now aware of why it is important to live a clean and virtue-ess life. Hence cultivating understanding, wisdom, and love. Good day! -
Some common dream meanings for what you've described are as follows- Curses- A belief that someone has harmful intentions towards you. Lifting a Curse- That you've been able to overcome these perceived intentions. Books- Depending on the type of book, it can mean anything, but normally a desire to know more about the topic, or in the case of this dream a belief that you have a thorough understanding of the topic and already have knowledge of how to deal with it. A general interpretation of this dream is that you feel that your mother and friend intentionally tried to harm you, and that you have been able to overcome that harm (you were cursed after all). You believe that you know the methods they used and are capable of cursing them by returning the curse to them, which indicates a possible desire to harm those that have harmed you, and as a result you may need to work through this more, since it is occupying time in your subconscious. Some things I might suggest you examine, how do you feel about the people involved in this dream? What in your life recently has caused you to dream about this now? Have you worked through your feelings, or is there still lingering pain and resentment? The fact you had this dream seems to me to indicate you are ready to deal with this issue, but ultimately it's up to you to deal with it. By the way, I would bet the Narrator is your prime consciousness, the part of us that everyone has that is aware of what's happening on a conscious and subconscious level. Keep in mind that the prime conscious isn't always right, rather it is making its judgments based on what it knows. You obviously feel you have achieved the state of kundalini, but what does achieving that state mean to you and why is twice so important? I hope that helps. I will not be responding to any comments regarding my post here. However if you wish to contact me by email, I'd be happy to discuss it on a one on one basis. (Note that doesn't include the forum personal messaging service.) Aaron

There's many ways to read dreams -- they've always been considered important (or rather have always been divided into important and unimportant ones) by original cultures, and some have come up with elaborate classifications. Taoism, in particular. There were taoist researchers and theorists of dreaming since antiquity. One way they classified dreams was into passive (the more prevalent variety) and active (which is a cultivated skill), symbolic and direct, and ordinary and extraordinary. (There's quite a few more categories and subdivisions, and way more than in taoism, in hinduism.) Extraordinary dreams were always regarded as meaningful and analyzed from several perspectives. The context of the dream itself, the mental and emotional state of the dreamer were one part of the reading; the outer conditions were another -- astrological antics of the stars, the moon phase, qi phases of the day/night (Wuxing), any synchronistic events, it could get pretty involved. They say that interpreting an I Ching reading is a bit like interpreting a dream -- well, the opposite is also true, a dream is sometimes a divinational tool that elucidates the past, the present, and/or the future, guides, warns, promises, sets a task -- you may want to spend some time with its images and everything else I mentioned above for the meaning (often with more dimensions to it than one) to crystallize out of the fog. When I get an extraordinary dream, it sometimes takes years for all its implications to play themselves out, and for some there's a distinct sense that they're still unfinished business. But then, you are the judge of how extraordinary this dream is for you. Some people have complex, involved, convoluted dreams every night but they are not extraordinary for them, they are business as usual and reflect the state of their unconscious, pointing it out with persistence till something is done about it. Others don't get any dreams if there's nothing their unconscious needs to point out to them because they already know it all and have done what could be done to date about it. I, e.g., am not prone to passive ordinary dreams, and usually only dream if/when there's something I need and CAN do about something.

I had a similar dream once. It was during a particularly difficult time in my life and in the dream I was given a mantra using which I made a particular type of 'dakini' (what seemed like a malefic spirit - there were 8 of them) disappear. Chant the mantra and focus its energy through the sword fingers at these entities and they disappeared in a puff of smoke. It felt like a 'curse' was lifted and I interpret it as myself making deep-rooted guilt, fear (inner demons) disappear. Makes sense?

I can't resist so here goes. All parents are witches of a sort and, for the most part unknowingly, curse their children. It's just the nature of having kids when you're not yourself a fully conscious, realized human being. All the unworked through issues and unconscious complexes of the parents inevitably and automatically get dumped in the lap of the unsuspecting offspring. You can call it family baggage, but it's really a curse-- the "big curse" as you say. Other people who come along later in life also have the ability to curse us (usually by bringing up the issues implicated in the original parental curse) but their treachery is not nearly so potent and, as you point out, is more easily dealt with. A big part of reclaiming our real identity and healing ourselves is breaking the family curse. We learn that we don't have to be like our parents. We learn that we don't have to be different from our parents either. We are the way we are because it's how we choose to be as free people, not as slaves to inherited family drama. That's breaking the curse, and it's one of the most important tasks of adulthood. Your dream indicates you know how to do this. You have in your possession a heavily-underlined how-to book as well as other symbolic objects to help you now. Objects you've gathered as an adult that you didn't have as a child. Equally important, you've gone through a kundalini experience--twice. To me this indicates a greater integration and consciousness of the energy. Maybe the first time it was just something that happened to you. The second time around you've brought more of yourself to the experience. You've suceeded in integrating it further into your being, to the extent that you can now use the energy (like a witch yourself?) to break curses big and small. As you say, opinion alert and all that.

Isn't our "real" life very, very symbolic as well? I did lucid dream for a while. I abused my ability there. I hope the dreamland will give me another chance soon.

We are taught to be dishonest at birth
Vmarco replied to Vanir Thunder Dojo Tan's topic in General Discussion
Why VMarcoian,...why not Buddhoian or Toaoian? Does VMarco ever contradict Buddhism or the Tao? The Lojong says, "Find the consciousness you had before you were born" to uncover bodhicitta and enlightenment. Why? In “The Art of Dreaming,” Carlos Castaneda mentions that while in another space-time, if one so much as puts on the clothing of the other dimension, conscious can quickly become trapped in that dimension. If we attach ourselves to the other space-time, we can quickly forget the one that we really live in, just as we swiftly forget our dream upon waking. Another example of this topic, although not interdimensional, is the tale of the abbot, Sri Sankaracharya. Following the death of a young prince, Sri Sankaracharya separated his subtle self and entered into the deceased prince to tend to his unfinished last will and testament. The prince’s Last Will and Testament was supposed to stipulate his intent to support Sankaracharya’s monastery, where the young prince enjoyed retreats and philosophical conversations. Sri Sankaracharya gathered the monks and told them of his plan. Then, as the prince’s funeral procession was carrying his corpse to the crematorium, the abbot entered the deceased’s body, thus reanimating the young royal. Everyone was happy to see the prince rise from the dead, especially his many wives, and a long celebration began. The abbot, as he forewarned the monks, quickly forgot who he was, just as a newborn obscures itself from itself through the sensory attachment to blankets, diapers, and endearing baby talk. After a week, the monks became worried and sought an audience with the prince to persuade the abbot to come back into his own body, which by now was quickly deteriorating. The prince, however, would not receive them, as he was busy tending to his many wives. Therefore, the monks gathered outside the palace’s living quarters and began to sing a song that the abbot had composed. Upon hearing the melody, Sankaracharya remembered himself, immediately took care of the prince’s will, and reintegrated with his own body at the monastery. The prince’s body was discovered in the morning and once again carried away, with the funeral party undoubtedly watching for him to rise again. However, back to Stosh's paradigm,...which is interpreting the world through the lie, the delusion, the dishonesty of the 6 senses. Why did René Descartes, concerning the senses, articulate that, “All that I have tried to understand to the present time has been affected by my senses; now I know these senses are deceivers, and it is prudent to be distrustful after one has been deceived once.” That's the simple leap which must be made before the Heart of Essense is realized,...that EVERYTHING of the 5 skandhas is a lie,....EVERYTHING filtered through the 5 skandhas is designed to sustain the lie. HOWEVER,...this cancer (meaning, a striving towards individualism, separation, and veiling of coherent light), can be dissolved,...instantly dissolved, by uncovering Consciousness of the Present. There is no present in time. -
So it seems that lately I've been pretty active in the occult scene in my dreams. Latest, I dreamt I broke two curses that different people had placed on me. The dream narrator also told me I'd been through the kundalini twice. There were a bunch of symbolic objects, a heavily underlined book that looked like a paperback 'how to' of curse breaking which I'd definitely buy if I could recall the title :-) and the realization that my mother is actually a real witch. She was one of the people who had placed a curse. The big curse. The other person had just put a little one on me and they know who they are (apparently) and not to do it again or I'll use a bunch of mirrors on them:-) I also dreamt I'd left my luggage in a different city, but that part I get. Anyone want to take a stab at analysis?

Can Kundalini "burn up" entities?
DragonsNectar69k replied to CrunchyChocolate555's topic in General Discussion
You woke up, awakened, and realized that you might have an entity. Pay attention to your dream scape and look for what they might be trying to tell you. Depending upon the higher bodies that you have aroused, you may be seeing things with your third eye, or other 'clairs'. You may be feeling energetically depressed, drained, or out of touch. This is your awareness kicking in, your becoming more aware of your subconscious. First, you need to accept whatever it is your not accepting. Entities are very common and if your not a monk who lives in solitude don't expect to always be clean and clear of them, in my opinion. Think of your lower dan tien as a hose. You may have a lot of past life 'karma' or issues, or possibly even things you contracted in this life through sex unknowingly that need to be dealt with BEFORE you can appreciate the 'bliss' that Kundalini brings and cultivate it forward. It brings truth to the forefront of your life. A lot of people have 'entities' and don't even know it, mind you. You may even be looking at past life issues you didn't know you had which is WHY you were attracted to the esoteric arts in the first place. If your a bible thumper, this is what the 'Kingdom of God' is all about. It's all inside of you. Be patient, kind, and forgiving. Things will work themselves out. -
On Longing: Spring Forest Qigong Master Jim Nance Qi-Talk on Free Friday 4/12/2013
voidisyinyang replied to voidisyinyang's topic in General Discussion
Ur Welcome! Yeah it's so exciting! He is such an entertaining speaker and he sends energy when he talks and -- I mean I had a 2 hr plus phone conversation with him and then on that Free Friday I had a 1 1/2 hr face to face conversation with him. At one point - I never asked him to heal me - but obviously I knew that was going on. But at one point he goes - raise your arms up. And he did it to show me - like Jesus on the cross you know. Then he starts blasting me with energy. Then he goes -- um put the palms facing down. B/c he had shown me palms down but I accidentally had the palms facing him mainly. Anyway he goes - how did that feel? I'm like -- awesome!! haha. Super deep bliss heat magnetic love energy. Anyway so I wish I could share everything he said to me but it was so amazing and so personal -- still I think he would be fine with it getting out there. But the other thing is everything he says is very precise and so I would just be paraphrasing him and that would lose a lot of the meaning. I mean - like he says some real zingers that totally blast open a new way of thinking for me - and then I'm kind of stunned. haha. But when I thanked him - he said - well if things go the way I see them then I will be more thankful than you. I didn't even know how to respond to that! haha. I just kind of sit there stunned. haha. Anyway I told him it was a dream come true when he called me and -- well his brother had discovered my blog and his brother to Jim to contact me and Jim goes - "Oh I know him." haha. Anyway I let Jim down when he called last weekend to talk about my video of his talk but I was with my qigong friend who has also gotten tons of healing from Jim. But when Jim said - "don't worry about it" then I trust him to not be angry about it since he tells in this talk - he talks about Chunyi Lin telling Jim to "not worry about it." haha. Yeah - I'll see if Chunyi Lin's guild talk is up on their website yet since I missed it last weekend.... -
. ah, but we both stand upright and also fly in the dream... and the flying is normally more free like.

It doesnt sound inherently bad unless its all wrong which traditionals can be as well I know folks who have cars that all look alike they dress alike , they think alike their homes are alike their divorces are alike and their psychiatrists are alike is the bus alike ?? it brings to mind buses of another era. The rebellion of the hippie era did show its behind when it failed to find a wholesome basis for social behavior ( like family and work ) that could compete with standard views ,, but that doesnt really negate all the dreams of a better way ,, and a similar point might be made for the dream behind communism which could be viable someday , but fails in its attempt now because the power is so corrosive, and no one really aspires to the crappiest jobs. OOps , too serious, oh well

The scientific method - when followed - is pretty well robust and produced many good results, I mean, take a look at damn near any technological achievement these days and you see a manifestation of the scientific method. Where the problem is - is with the POLITICAL METHOD. While the enviro-nuts are plenty keen on simply limiting human expansion on account of any human expansion somehow equals mother nature raped with a broom handle, as lloyd correctly points out, the overarching mechanism has long since been usurped by the state, mainly as soon as they saw the potential for tax revenue from it, they started subsidizing research and promoting a certain view - well past the bounds of credibility, but, since yes we are dealing with (truly) authoritarian means here, we know "the power of authority" has been aimed and bent at supporting the view that would allow the public to be fooled into thinking that choking off growth was a good and necessary thing, even if it winds up being to the detriment of most and proving to be a huge windfall for those well enough connected to the process. So really, if technology is to end hunger, poverty, suffering - we see things going in the opposite direction, being told that furthering it too much will cost too much in resources, it is good to tax productivity to limit the abusing of resources - but the caveat is this is not gongfu whereby conserving and not using allows one to build a sufficient energetic potential - the energetic potential of the human race must be expressed a little differently than that - so it cannot rely on hardcore austere conservation to grow the potential to such an extent that poverty and hunger are eradicated! Now of course there's that ancient way of living that is all sustainable etc., but cmon - pandora's box has already been opened on human technology and advancement, so closing the lid on pandora's box is not going to reverse the situation and have the world living the sustainable utopian dream - such a thing would be like airlifting a person to the top of mt everst, too drastic of a change in circumstance. That will only happen via significant natural or cosmic disaster. The human race will only eradicate poverty and hunger by reaching that energetic threshold where the individual is able to express his own power sufficiently - having his own and not dependent on the state to provide it. Of course that power can take many forms, but the energetic kind that helps convey food and shelter are in there. It is in the State's interests to keep its grip on power to that it may limit the people's ability to mitigate its stranglehold into the future. Keeping the individual down is the best way for the state to accomplish this. The political method is state serving, or self serving in the case of those well connected to the apparatus that derive their personal benefit by the position in the state. Graft and corruption serve the same, detriment to the people. Denying people information, distorting the information they receive - that is also how the state maintains its control. So from the creation of the fed to the hundred plus millions in al gore's bank accounts - it is all about a raping of the system by those well connected to the system, "human progress" be damned, but you can bet your ass they pay lip service to those things. Gotta keep up appearances and all. and any of yous that still think co2 has anywhere near the heat carrying capacity to kill us all - you still have not addressed a single area I have shown there to be a gaping hole in the AGW CO2 theory. introduce all the straw men you wish, so long as you keep avoiding those, you are running away from the argument.

A dream about a dragon and horus.
Sloppy Zhang replied to DragonsNectar69k's topic in General Discussion
My question: Why does this dream still stick out for you after a year? -
It is very possible depending on the individual. One can detach from their body and 'possess' the body of an animal believe it or not. For those who practice the dark arts, animal sending involves this very thing of going out of body and then becoming one with whatever animal and attacking your victim. This is usually done to hide one's identity, very cowardly. Mind you, an experienced shaman can do this with certain herbs that heightened consciousness as well. It is a double edge sword sort of thing. You will also develop karma with said animal. Many in the shamanic traditions usually have a 'power' animal that they associate with. Mind you, if the victim kills the animal in 'real time' or in a dream, the attacker has a very high risk of getting hurt or even killed and not being able to go back into their body. Definitely not something I would condone even doing, due to the risk involved. It can be a great experience to learn and grow though, but truly depends on one's own inherited character and sense of self. With that said, it is also very possible to do in a lucid dream. For some reason I am seeing a black panter in my mind due to this discussion. lolz. Looked up panther.. Yea f*ck.... Animal sending is BAD! Don' do it! I have never done it, but yea. Thanks black panther!

Hiding from what? I have no personal experiences in them. I have never witnessed in any of these transformations. I dream of plenty of my animal spirits (my deceased dog, two headed green snake, bears, eagle and eagle totem pole, and birds). You can say that I almost feel like I can speak to birds. Oh, cats. I once encountered a cat transformed into a heavy set woman and she gave me a hug. I think I knew who she was (a deceased person I came to know indirectly). This was a dream or vision, fyi. I am not taking these visions literally like some of the posters here. I understand them as consciousness energy and wisdom. Like I said, show me a youtube clip. Ironically, youtube has plenty of these new age video clips from UFOs to Enlightenment. Yet, I haven't been able to find a clip about this transformation. Odd.

"...If an animal would suddenly get an ego, this would be an Enlightenment experience for the animal. That would be the first shift for the animal from its subconscious state to becoming aware of itself. The subconscious state is like a dream state. In a dream, there is no clear self-awareness; the subject’s awareness is completely objectified into the dream story. Humans, in their semi-conscious state, are on the one hand conscious enough to have a sense of self, while on the other hand not conscious enough to realize what is behind this sense of self. This causes us to search for our true identity. Some spiritual traditions only teach discovering the ‘no-self,’ and therefore portray the ego as something negative. The spiritual path, however, is about self-awareness. So essentially the ego plays a positive role on the spiritual path. However, because we completely identify with this self-concept, we become imprisoned in our egocentric concepts and beliefs..." complete text at: http://www.myanalyses.com/aziz.html

Astral projection troubles/blues
DragonsNectar69k replied to Lindelani Mnisi's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
In all honesty, most of the time the sex just happens and it is not 'great sex' but I merely secrete seminal fluid in the dream. It's get annoying when one is seeking to build up 'jing'. I believe it to be my subconscious and oppressed emotions and expressions playing them selves out. Just the other week I shape shifted my pet into a woman I had found attractive the day before. Analyzing the dream, my pet is someone I trust and love. Sort of makes sense why I morphed him. lolz. But I do agree, it can be very real. When I was with my ex-girl friend we had shared some dreams. She still pops up every now and then strangely enough. -
I believe it. Very possible in a dream like state. Seeing this in "real time" would be bewildering.
