interesting question. To me, I do not agree well with the notion of gender specific or nonspecific attraction. I don't even know of I'm bi-sexual or straight, and I don't even care to label myself in that way. I have felt some attraction to one boy in my life. Yet; this "boy" was so feminine deep within. I allowed him to express his inner feminine so freely and he surrendered to my masculine energy so effirtlessly. I was still a young kid back then. Every little detail about him was feminine. We were romping around, ended up biting my finger and the whole situation became awkward and we stopped romping around from that day one. I was just completely my self, not feminine at all. Since I have only felt these things usually with women, I guess I do have the tendency to project the female gender unto this guy. I even had a dream where he had a vagina. Yet, he is unmistakenly a male. Obviously, this is a rare experience, but I do not just denie it and discredit the fact that homo-gender attraction is possible. So, now I wonder "in advance" wether or not homo-energetic attraction is also possible. I guess the fire analogy is interesting. Yet, its still a fire to me, in the end. You know how little physical attraction we feel towards fire in the summer? Haha

Dream analysis is an art, it truly is, the most important thing to understand is that your dream is absolutely particular and specific to you alone, no one else. Some dreams will be precognitive, some will be past life, some will be psychological and have particular meaning to you only, and some will be created by the chilli prawns thats upsetting your stomach while you try to sleep or the fever you have when you have the flu (both are hallucinations and not always very meaningful). I have worked with dreams personally and with patients for many years, and it is never an easy task. Personally, for me, they are great adventures, some are within my own mind but some are external of me, they come from outside my dimension and as such could be called astral traveling in other dimensions and are quite weird. Then there are those that predict the future or explain the past, past lives. And then there are those ones that are dying and those of flying. The dying ones I have had have all had particular meaning, whether being shot in the back by a shotgun while running away from danger, having my throat slashed by a saracen during the Holy War as a knights page, betrayed and stabbed in the back by a friend during Roman times or being stoned by a rioting mob, they have all brought greater understanding and insight into my life through personal analysis. I can only suggest that death dreams are personally educational and most particular to the individual having them.

Yeah, you're right I guess. I had a dream today, where certain dudes did cosplay. I gave this dude a compliment, him always being the best cosplayer, if thats how you even call it. He really was good at it! Not that I cared much, but the act of the compliment functioned as a reminder of having made the mutual agreement to connect with this highly energetic and overly masculine guy. Since he was there in the dream to receive my compliment... So what happened next was shocking. He felt so glad, he just blurred out, "you should jack me off, it will be great fun!" with a big smile on his face like =D hahaha. I was making up every excuse(as if I was supose to feel excited about!) in the book not to jack him off, since I felt no attraction to him whatsoever, and this guy kept on insisting so determined that I jack him off. So fears started to pop up which in turn lead me to discover that I held the believe of being physically incapable of defending myself from rape by this tall guy. Rofl. First I realize, I projected my own desperation onto this guy. Then he shares me the gift of his enthusiasm and I am able to see more clearly who I have chosen to be in the moment of interaction. I guess all these practices CSM, yoga nidra, are like permission slips. One can really come up with his or her own method of going "within." Yet, a meditation like yoga nidra might already have integrated most of the common pitfalls and thus gain in popularity. I think the allowing of visualization in yoga nidra in a focused part of the body is a powerfull way to go. Especially, because we are then instructed our awareness to shift points to the heart, without any imagination. Just simple awareness and being. I also know from experience that focusing awareness on the heart will help you expand your self as the heart beats become more entensified, the deeper you go within yourself. As if you are shrinking into the center of your body, being your heart. I find it interesting how csm talks about the inner realm. That guy obviously has been going deep. Although, some people might prefer the word "high" as in expansion, inclusion. I find the part where I have to seperate myself from my senses are a bit odd. Since all I had to do to loose focus of the senses was to shift focus of my awareness to something else. So Inwas kinda not expecting a big emphasis on that part. Rather, I would more intensely merge with my 5 senses during the day. Observing them more deeply. Using the 5 senses more habitually will create the habbit in the dream state, resulting in vivid and lucid dreams. Also vivid and lucid imagination, which in turn helps you shift focus from external to internal senses. Paradoxically. Also a. Non-judgemental observation on my thoughts added to that, results in out of body experiences while wide awake and active on the go. Its very powerfull. Yet, what I am trying to achieve with lucid imaginig, I already do every night. We all do it automaticly. I guess the shifting of focus of awareness and the shaping of the awareness should become a process I'm more conscious of as I'm doing it. So that I can still recognize the shape of my awareness even during the very process of falling asleep. This will allow me to really go within, in a conscious way.

I was learning tai chi in 1980 and after about 6 months I found myself waking up in my dreams, flying, and engaging in the dream itself. I spoke to my master about it because I was a bit confused. Sometimes I would find myself floating above myself when doing tai chi in the class, which was very disturbing, I feared I would fall down. But earlier, before tai chi, I was talking to people who had died, and always had weird dreams and experiences, precognitive dreams, sometimes ghosts though never frightening ones, just talking to them in my sleep. But when I woke up to find myself sitting up in bed talking to this old lady in a flowing ice blue gown for example I would freak out and hide under the blankets. So, I suppose it was already there and tai chi kicked it along to the next level.

Hi Nikolai, Some use their present existence to argue about not existing ... I say use their present existence to exist fully! This self has an issue with those who propose the illusion of self. The I am presence in me declares that the ego, like the mind, the body, the spirit be vehicles to care, develop, maintain. and more... To those who propose the believe that i should deny itself (by claiming the I is an illusion), I would say, that they fallen for the illusion of development that keeps them from developing. What be ironic is that they would likely say that I be a victim of the illusion that keeps me from developing. Personally I find these illusions entertaining, though I find the realities more rewarding. So what do we want to focus on and cultivate? this or that illusion OR this and that REALITY! It may well be that I be dreaming the dream of me and you being real and need to awaken, then again maybe this dream is actually real and determines once and for all what each chooses to be for evermore... I say, be it a dream, be it real, always choose the better way, and make the experience the perfect experience! Why would one be concerned if one come to an impasse of personal demise, after that moment one be no more ... be concerned if one comes to an impasse and freely chooses to be no more, rather than to be a bit more... this means to always strive to love, care, develop, maintain, learn, grow, live a bit more... rather than cease to be altogether. Note that "chooses to be no more" is quite different different from 'choose to be what one currently is"... recognize and keep this distinction. Thinking that "chooses to be no more" refers to "appreciate and be contempt to be what one be by choosing to keep it rather than trading if for something else" distracts the thinker from the intended meaning. There are many ways to view stuff some of these will help you see with clarity and some will obscure the point by appearing to clarify something else. Know what be and what can be always choosing the better ways to be.

i feel a noticeable difference any time i ejaculate. in fact, the longer i go without ejaculating the more noticeable the difference is. when i build up and sublimate energy i gain confidence, energy, focus, have greater control over my emotions and can enter a relaxed meditative state much easier. right now i'm trying to stop willful ejaculation completely, as it does nothing for me. if the energy TRULY has to come out, it will happen in a wet dream eventually.

Ask someone who is versed in dream analysis what continuously repeating death experiences in dreams mean. By the way, if the dreams are really lucid, that would mean that death can't scare you that much, right? Maybe you should try ayahuasca or something like that; Maybe life is telling you to become a shaman.

Yes we are descendent from God and can call out to God though it is up to God and His grace to help us reach Him or come to where we be. The only lesson which needs to be learned for each and all be to love! We can do that in a dream, while awake, within a story we tell, within a thought, feeling, experience. With Love all the other lessons are just subsets of this lesson. With Love compassion and forgiveness come naturally. I have only been there a few times but each time it was 'heaven', and you can imagine what dreams, lusts, desires and wants you may have and how many ways they can be fulfilled. It is an incredible place, as real as this world, and your desires will be satisfied. I have no idea how I got there, it happened by default. I would wake up and find myself standing on a cloud floating way above the landscape below, jungle, a wide river flowing between mountain ranges all laid out before me like a child's rug, and then the adventure would begin.

To dream divine dreams, one has to totally deny and destroy Human Ego Self by seeking emptiness in order to reach God-Self as each of us is descended from God. All the other lessons about compassion, forgiveness, love, parents, marriages, children, work, wealth are all just subsets of this lesson about awakening. Once you awaken, compassion and forgiveness and love come naturally. Once you awaken, parents, marriages, children, work and wealth will become illusions which you do not care about anymore. If you don't awaken and reach the God-self, then how are you going to fulfill the desires of God? Adults like to play games too. But because adults possess the intelligence and maturity which children lack, the games of adults are much more sophisticated and complex than the games of children. The possibilities of adult games are infinitely more powerful and numerous than mere children's games. For eg, humans are considered to be children and they only play games of wealth, marriages, family, children, all other mundane things in life. But the Gods, which are considered to be adults in the universal scheme of things, they play games of creation. They create planets and universes and lifeforms. Would you rather play the games of children(humans) or adults(Gods)? I believe that the Human Ego Self will be destroyed in the end for every human in the world sooner or later.

I wish I understood the meaning behind my dreams. My dreams are often disturbing on some level, or extremely complicated and convoluted. As an example, some months ago I had a dream in which the leatherworking group I'm a part of was in charge of a stockpile of nuclear weapons. One of the other apprentices somehow let the launch codes slip into enemy hands. Since I was his commanding officer, the punishment was I had to kill him execution style with a pistol and then kill myself. There was an emotional context of "preserving honor" surrounding the actions. At least it's not as crazy as the dreams I had as a kid. I'd probably enjoy them more now, but they were absolutely terrifying at that age because they didn't make any sense. I remember huddling in a hollowed out part of the wall of a massive cylindrical tower, the tower itself hollow except for a central pillar up the middle. The tower was underground, and the top was at ground level, with no ceiling. The tower was red and black. The land around the tower was barren, and the sky was either burning or exploding. Attached to the central pillar was a massive spiked ball-and-chain, which crashed around the inside of the tower up and down. I was hiding, hoping to avoid getting crushed by it. I used to get killed a lot in dreams, too. Doesn't happen as often anymore.

Why seek to wake up from the dream rather than fully experience it? Yea I get it that the dream has become a nightmare where the dreamer believes they can only escape it by awakening, rather than realizing and learning to dream divine dreams only. Why seek emptiness and the denial of self when it is possible to acknowledge self and the fullness of being? When one wills to be, the will of the creator, one both chooses what one desires and what God desires. Besides if you awaken rather than realizing and learning the dream lesson you will re-experience it until you realize and learn the lesson. Children like to play and lear. What we refer to as our "unconscious" mind is 95% of all the "mind" we have, or at least 95% of all our brain activity (cultivation and deep work of the "know thyself" kind changes this ratio, to an extent ranging from quite modest to total), so no wonder it's smart. I'm talking about qi though, and the "proprietary" type of it (a Chinese astrology notion) participating in (or taking total control of, as the case may be) the type of dreams we experience. Wuxing is the Five Phases (translated by some as "elements" in the Western tradition) or Five Types of qi interacting to create a human "bodymindspirit" -- Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal. A "proprietary" phase is the type, the phase, that is your "type" much like "brunette or blonde," "blue eyes or brown," "black skin or pink," are your physical type, but of course it, being your "qi type," encompasses more than your physicality -- your mentality, your emotionality, and your destiny. So, this is one thing it does: it manifests what it is in your dreams. (People trained in assorted ways to "read" wuxing phases see them in all kinds of human manifestations -- appearance, behavior, illnesses and accidents, lucky breaks and good fortune, and also dreams, among other things.) A "fire mudra" is what you described as the "praying position" with hands brought together and pointing up. (People are told to pray and shown hands put together like that but they are not told that this is the way you pray to Fire manifestations -- the sun up in the sky or, its later interpretation by the church, Father in Heaven, or any and all upward-mobility-based, ascension-driven ideas.)
