I would call an empty mind an imbecile,...as an empty eye is blind,...and an empty ear is deaf. Forget the intellectual jargon on what is "empty",..simply realize the emptiness of the 6 senses. The Tao that is non-dual is not empty,...it is Still. Yin/yang are empty,...all energy is empty,...time is empty,...the Present is not empty. As for me,...I generally do not "think" of concepts,...it's a distraction, and delusional. Awareness of absolute bodhichitta, or awakened mind, through the clear recognition that everything one perceives is a dream, necessitates an understanding of the feminine aspect of nature. Such insight is beyond the cognizance of relative thinking, which arises soley through form. Form, by itself, has no perception of the field that holds it, as a particle is oblivious of its wave, or the Six Senses ignorance of stillness. Shantideva wrote, "The absolute is not within the reach of intellect, for the intellect is grounded in the relative." Society-at-large is unaware of nature's feminine characteristics because thinking accepts a fabricated feminine that sustains a strict patriarchal, form-based viewpoint. In other words, there are two feminine's - the feminine (yin) of nature, and the feminine (yin) of man. Both are empty,...but the latter oscures that fact. Fundamentally, there is no reality of things,...just as music does not exist outside of things. But there is Absolute Tao, the fulcrum upon which relative Tao effects its motion. It's all quite easy. What I bolded is exactly true for the observer, IMO. However, it may not be true regarding the thing being observed if the reflection is distorted by the observer's mind. Ah!, the butterfly. One of my favorite people! I have been a butterfly. Really! In Korea a man who constantly chases after different pretty women is known as a butterfly. Yeah, dreams are funny. And some people dream while awake! That oftentimes creates problems.

Reality is a term that indicates only what the observer/experiencer witnesses. change the perception of what is observed/experienced and you change the Reality. The air above is filled with huge, thick and lengthy chemtrails that cover the atmosphere like a thin blanket as the wind blows it about. It has been good weather here so far. Just a chill breeze, no snow. Still haven't used my gloves at this time of the year even. Its abnormal the amount of chemtrails I see these days. Then when I see one of those regular big commercial passengers aircraft flying right above my head it leaves not even the slightest of smoke behind, when everyone says that the chemtrails are from passenger aircrafts, when these planes that leave the trails gain altitude in a way that a passenger aircraft can not even dream of doing. When people say that these are pilots, I still wonder why they practice right above our heads, when they could do that above the ocean. Not to mention that these planes never fly at the same spot twice. As if they wish to tactically spread the chemtrails over the atmosphere. Also when it rains, the rain smells like rotten eggs sometimes. Especially if the chemtrails are allot. What is the meaning of all this?

XD YES +1 indeed, existence is a dream we are all creating the universe, together, whether or not we are aware of it; e.g. we are unconsciously creating on many levels and consciously creating on few, and that ratio is currently changing for the 'better' (at least this is how it appears from our silly human point of view, inside time and karma and all that good stuff) : )

Well at first I tried the hand mudra that Chunyi Lin recommends -- put the index finger on the thumbs to close off energy from leaving the body. Then I tried reverse breathing. But I had a lot of young aggressive females staring at my dick while talking to me to watch it spring up. haha. I mean then I had females making orgasmic sounds at me -- that still happens. Another one was females crossing their legs and pumping their legs so they masturbate in front of me -- I call this "priming the pump" -- while they stare into my eyes. So at first I'm trying to ignore this and be a nice "normal" male. But then I would have to later sit in full lotus to REVERSE the damage -- or else I would have a nocturnal emission. So then I started sitting in full lotus in public. Then this young female stood five feet in front of my full lotus so my eyes were level with her back side -- this is called a "backside display" behavior in primatology. Other female display behaviors include stretching the chest to stick the breasts out -- so the nipples suck up the chi energy -- and then spreading the legs so the vulva can better suck up the chi energy. Other display behaviors I've witnessed is sticking the tongue in the side of the check like the female is pretending to give you a blow job. Also licking the lips lasciviously, etc. Anyway so when I was sitting in full lotus in public and the female presented her back side to me my eyes shot laser light into her and she jumped up and exclaimed wow and at the exact same time sperm shot up my spine and we both climaxed simultaneously. So that's how I discovered the "O at a D." Then I tested it out to see if it was real. After that I just kept sitting in full lotus in public as pre-emptive defense and then the "O at a Ds" just kept happening. And then with some females there were multiple "O at a Ds" so that there was mutual real love -- the heart chakra opened up and it was real electromagnetic attraction like we wanted to have our bodies stuck together electromagnetically. But this is still limited to the lower level of form and the upper realm of bliss in Mahayana Buddhism -- it doesn't get to the realm of formlessness or higher levels of the realm of form. So tantra is limited in that sense. That's why all the critiques of full lotus meditation as misogyny relying on stealing female energy in Buddhism are WRONG - -they are actually male Western projections -- materialist projections -- onto non-western nondualist philosophy. So I've found that females who have the lower chakra blockage -- even if you just get near them without them doing anything then that will activate the lower chakra, deconverting the chi energy into jing and then into sex fluid. So that is damage that has to be reversed. But since they are female then the female orgasm inherently sublimates the energy whereas if it's a male perv they are trying to have an external ejaculation which triggers the STRESS sympathetic nervous system. So a female perv is really not bad at all -- if you just sit in full lotus then there's no need for anyone to have an external ejaculation - it's completely up to the male to take care of that. The female is trying to have an orgasm but her orgasm is internal - and by trying to get the male to have an orgasm she doesn't need for the male to have an external ejaculation -- in contrast to a male perv who needs to have an external ejaculation. So still it can take several hours -- even ALL NIGHT -- to reverse a perv attack by a female. This is just the unfortunate truth. So, for example, last night I got perv attacked -- this happens every day. But I sat in full lotus as long as possible -- while sleeping a bit on and off. Finally I went prostate -- supine -- in bed to sleep. I woke up and then went back into full lotus. Then I had a sex dream but not so bad and was too tired so went back to sleep. then I had another sex dream and I almost lost the load but I woke myself up and quick went into full lotus. I didn't think I could reverse the damage but I sat in full lotus as long as possible and did reverse breathing. Then when my bladder was exploding I went to the bathroom and there was no foam -- so I had succesfully sublimated the sex fluid up the spine. But I still needed to ionize or purify the sex fluid. So I kept sitting in full lotus for another couple hours, taking breaks for the bathroom, etc. So I can feel the "excrement" in the brain -- this is a fourth type of excrement as Gurdjieff points out. As Master Nan, Huai-chin and Bill Bodri point out in tantra you can improve your health but if you're just sublimated sex fluid then that is misdirected waste that will dirty the brain. It still needs to be purified. So the West does not recognize this shit head phenomenon - but in qigong it's taught to just eat until 70% full or else the food "will go to the head" as Chunyi Lin says. So as Gurdjieff says this is a fourth type of waste -- from the food waste and sex waste in the brain. So for me I can feel the impurities and then the impurities are in the skull cavity - and I can feel my brain leaching them as the electromagnetic energy builds up to clear out the blockages. So then there is pressure behind my eyes and my eyebrows and I can feel the fluid that has the impurities in it -- like little bits of waste. then my eyes will water as the impurities are leached out and my gums will get a tingling sensation as the waste leaches out. So then I have to wash out my mouth with soap or toothpaste, etc. So actually as "Taoist Yoga" states that any sex thoughts have to be purified even though they may happen. So real alchemical training has to be done without sex thoughts or else there will constantly be this pollution in the brain. Master Nan, Huai-chin also states that if you need female jing energy from tantra -- taking it in as extra jing energy - -and then transmitting the chi back -- as Bill Bodri states -- then just get hormone shots!! haha. So the mundane and spiritual world really don't mix for advance training. There can be improvement in health by practicing sublimation of sex energy but it is still a "dirty" practice. As Chunyi Lin states there can be no sex thoughts for the advanced training. Still the females need the electromagnetic energy. Of course some females also train to increase their electromagnetic energy. So the answer is just more and more meditation. Chunyi Lin said I needed to eat more food and meditate more and that if I smell bad that is o.k. but if I don't store the chi in my lower tan tien then my transmissions will always be weak. So we really don't have a choice if we want to get beyond the tantra multiple orgasmic level of energy -- which can heal colds and emotional blockages but it is not as strong as the powerful qi healing I was doing previously. haha. Someone PM'd me a question so I'll post my reply here as it's related: The techno-feminists are in left-brain denial - -they will secretly be pervs, making orgasmic sounds, etc. and constantly hit on me but pretend it's not happening. Language is a scam! haha. So my mom was raised a Freemason but pretends to be a Christian -- but civilization is really to keep woman from being raped, using technology as a defense against perv male rapists. So then the secret to real love is lost and becomes a subconscious subversive practice but orgasms are just the lower level of energy healing. So having orgasms for females is not a big deal although they definitely want as many as possible. I have had verbal confirmation and also sometimes the female will touch her clitoris in front of me - just to push the energy over into the climax -- but it's rare for the female to say in public that she is having an orgasmic. I've been told I'm orgasmic -- but only by a female I just gave an orgasm to and then she told her friends I was orgasmic. But at that level the trance is too deep to do in public. So it is a limited practice.

Hi Twinner , Sorry to hear of your troubles. It is heartening to see everyones care and help though. I have been living kind of an alternative lifestyle most of my adult life till some years back. Mostly squatting ,living in communities and sometimes nature. Living in nature was less often than Id like too , but it is my long term project to try again and pursue my dream of living in a tree house and see how I feel. So I am quite professional in living and travelling with very little to no money , it is my skill in a way. It is possible, and it is possible to do it with dignity by working for accomodation, exchanging skills and assesing 'your 'priorities . It is easy if this lifestyle is a choice and not a necessity of course. I have lived in sangha too for a while although not Buddhist , but becouse my keen interest in spirituality and liking of Buddhas teachings they took me in . Than in Granada (Spain) there are caves outside of city that are inhabited by people, converted into dwellings, it is like a community. No electricity and such though. Some are parts are full of artists and alike. Some are full of dodgy caracthers. Hi Somamech, Thanks for sharing your experience with the Five Basic Standing Flying Phoenix Meditations on Vol. 1. As several contributors have noted already, going back to the Basic Standing Meds after doing the more advanced FP Meditations is fine. As long as you get around to doing them all and experience their cumulative energizing effects...that's all that matters. The instruction that you got from your teaching in the Yogendra system is a very good general one. In any form of meditation, the goal is first to quiet the mind, to turn off the internal dialog. And this of course can apply to FP Qigong practice. But as I've explained from the very start of this discussion thread, once you do the FP breath control sequence and the posture and movements (if there are movements in the exercise)correctly, the energizing/rejuvenating effects will occur regardless of how you focus the mind. Once you start any of the FP Meditations, you can think about anything that you want. That's one of the extraordinary features of this Qigong: once you bring the organ systems (orbs) under the regulation of the subconscious mind, your conscious mind can be doing virtually anything. I will post his entire 1997 letter to me sometime, but a workshop student and good friend of mine, Prof. Fred Underwood,who btw was Bob Thurman's predecessor as head of Indo-Tibetan Studies at Columbia University's Department of Religion, wrote that the Flying Phoenix Qigong showed him what "the early Buddhist writings meant by 'touching Nirvana with the body'." Again, just performing the breath-control sequence of each exercise and holding the postures and doing the slow movements will get you to this experience with Flying Phoenix Qigong. and at 1:17 approx, a young Jet Li, who does a fantastic drunken sword after his cup o' noodles. Wow. I did sleep sitting up in a chair for awhile, for the same reason. But I attributed it to my lacking the coordination that my housemate at the time had. I'm a real geek. I first learned martial arts out of books, you know, and when I started Judo my instructor had me show his senior students what I had learned of judo. I found out later they thought it was so funny! Anyway, I slept sitting up for about six months to avoid the occasional surprise dream, my housemate was sexually active and had an innate coordination that I would have to say I lacked. I fall asleep in the lotus sometimes, but only for a few seconds, if that. FYI, Master Hsuan Hua of City of Ten Thousand Buddhas in Talmadge, CA (and of Gold Mountain Monastery in S.F.) could do the one-finger hand-stand as well. I understand they sit 50 minute periods and then walk almost like running for 10 minutes. Get about three hours sleep in sesshin. My hat is off; don't think I'm going to ever do that, I will be happy to do another 3 days' sesshin in a relaxed style sometime- maybe! I think that looks like a good exercise, and I will try it sometime. Maybe it's pandiculation, I understand why Hanna uses that description but I guess until I try the exercise I won't really know if the feeling matches the feeling of stretching in a yawn. Hard to just sit where I am, this morning; I'm sure the sight of me would drive a lineage teacher to get off their cushion and come over and correct my posture, but I still have faith that the posture is self-correcting, from the place consciousness occurs. That's my path, and sometimes it gets up and walks around; how will a teacher correct my posture as I rise to walk, then?

I'm guessing this opinion isn't going to be very popular here but for me that film was a really good representation of the perfect ego dream or the image which the ego strives to make reality, as the ego wants us to be the perfect superhuman who is good looking, incredibly sophisticated and intelligent, very charismatic and popular with the ladies who always says the right thing at the right time and not the loser stuck in a rut like the character is at the beginning and it presents the possibility that it is actually possible to attain this image. So it is no surprise that people love this film as it taps into all the egos desires and gives it hope that they can be fulfilled and happiness can be obtained by such self improvement. If the film strengthens the belief that such perfection is possible and obtainable then I'm not sure it's very helpful spiritually, for me spirituality is about self acceptance and integration not self improvement. That's my 2c anyway. -
Very nice post. I thank you for it as well. I think we tend to forget the influence we have on our own lives, believing blaming something else for our misfortune will make it easier, but in reality it is only when we accept responsibility that we can ever truly be free from "destiny". In Quantum Sprituality, one is said to create his reality by his own perceptions and that only through viewing reality as it is that we can break free from these shackles. It is by knowing that just because everyone sees something as it is, doesn't mean that it is as it is, that we can ask, "isn't that so?" In my own life I am experiencing great hardship now. I will undoubtedly be on the street in a short time, most likely by the 15th. During the day I am fine with it, I feel very little stress or anxiety, but at night my true feelings arise in my dream consciousness and I find I sleep very little. So for me it is only by coming to terms with my issue, both on the surface and deeper within that I will be able to find peace. Part of this is understanding that my fear arises from my perception of what a perfect life is and not what life really is, imperfect. I will survive, I have no doubts about that, but the fear arises from something that is not according to my wishes. Each day I am finding that I can gather more strength simply by accepting my situation for what it is and giving up my perception of what it should be. I am simply a leaf in the wind, the wind takes me where it wants to go, but perhaps I am more than the leaf, perhaps I am the wind also. In being the wind I can direct the leaf that is me to where it needs to go, but I also have to have faith in that part of me that is the wind. In understanding that I am the wind I must also understand that the wind will often take me where I need to go, and not necessarily where I want to go. It is only by not wanting to go anywhere that the wind and the leaf have their truest freedom. Aaron

People have been screaming about the need for campaign finance reform for decades. Politicians are beholden to their campaign contributors, not their constituents. Congress deflected the challenge by putting term limits on the books, but that really didn't solve the problem. And now the Supreme Court has ruled that unlimited campaign cash is protected under the Free speech amendment. We can kiss the dream of political accountability goodbye for another generation at least.

@Seth I meant kindlier as in helping people to navigate states rather than leaving them to figure it out ALL alone. Sort of like the difference between throwing someone into a pool to "teach" them to swim when they've never even taken a bath before and letting them play in the shallows with floats on. I don't see any merit in unecessary injury. Even tiger cubs get to play at killing before killing. Yeah, the DSMV is an, er 'interesting' codex. Irony being they've recently included culturally-specific stuff like "qi-deviation" (I think, you'd know better:-)) but what happens when a Westerner gets spontaneous teachings from a dream master or meets their spirit guides or massive synchronicity becomes almost a banal constant (cough cough) or they decide to pretend to be various mythical characters for various reasons (not just for fun)? The current bottom line advice is "Don't mention it" and my take is that if people are having trouble with the "neighbours" as you put it, they ought to be able to mention it and be taken quite seriously. Reasoning being, that mental illness like other illness very often resolves itself, if indeed it is illness and not just a different expression of being, but gets worse if you arrest the state with whatever. I'd also like to point out the relative increase in grey-world of what I'd call "flat-world adaptive syndromes" like Aspergers and autism spectrum diagnoses. Also that it's likely that our cultural selects for pathological leaders (as in "no capacity for empathy" per the latest neurobiology experimentation). -
Yeah last week I listened to this lady doing "toning" and then I had this dream where I was singing deep from my heart -- it was a powerful toning experience. Then last night on cable they had the documentary playing "The Story of the Weeping Camel" http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6668096176688447819 my niece and my mom had been playing piano but I had previously told my mom about this documentary so I said it was on. So then they watched the ending == you all have to see it. It's amazing. How the music is used to heal the camel and the camel is crying for cathersis. It gets me every time.

You could try to repeating something like "what issues do I have unresolved" as your going to sleep, if you don't have a god, then ask it to your subconcious mind. You may dream it and or resolve it in the dream. Are you in your late teens or early twenties by any chance?

i hear everything you're saying here, but i don't think you read my responses very closely. you're asking questions that i answered in the link. have i gone through similar difficulties? YES, AND THEN SOME! go back and read that page. Creation was talking about a dream, but i was talking about real life events and real spiritual practice. so yeah, first, go back and re-read that page. i'll make it even easier this time. How to stop being afraid of spirituality and let go?

I doubt anything I will do in life is going to take away this specific fear, let alone drastically reduce it. There is nothing like it. There is no preperation, no practice for it. Perhaps it will take several lifetimes to become ready for it. Not that I'll die from letting go, but it feels like it in my heart. It feels too intense. This is blocking me in my path for quite a while now and I'm not going anywhere with it, it seems... Making no progress with it. Everytime I try letting go, I just realize I'm not ready. Feels like death. Many people believe that they don't fear death, but the moment before dieing, the last moment where you are on the verge of letting go of reality, that is the most difficult part. Once you do it, your mind will just experience every possible experience on Earth, every possible emotion, magnified and more extremely intense. I have this intuitive knowing that I have to suicide in order to overcome the fear of death, or non-existance, its weird and paradoxical, because overcoming this fear will make death seems like nothing. When I can't let go, I feel ashamed and see only suicide as the only possible lesson in which I can learn how to let go. I wont suicide though, I'll practice letting go with mind. After trying to let go, and then experience the failure, I have a vague realization that I am here living to die. That death is the lesson that will aid me in letting go. If I cannot let go in spirit, then I must practice letting go trough my body, by killing itself and trust. There is no returning like a scared little girl when my blood is draining. I am very dedicated to the truth, and do not allow my heart to deviate from it once I do found out the truth. Right not, I'm not even close to the truth. Feels like I might not return to reality once I discover that it is all fake and I'll be lost forever in the meaninglessness, desperately trying to form some sort of resemblance of reality around me. I try to control it, but loose control and become scared. I can feel my heart in my throat everytime I try letting go of physical reality. The moment right before you are about to let go of reality, that is where you hit rock bottom, it is so scary. It is like you are on a cliff of 3 kilometers high and barely balancing on one leg. Once you decide you will just hide under your ilusionary blanket that is reality, you feel like skinning yourself in order to distract your mind from the truth that the blanket is fake. Nothing is scary anymore but that alone. Call it God, I call it my biggest nightmare. If thats God, then I have learned today to truely be God-fearing. The fear of pain just dissapears and adrenaline pumps troughout all of your body. Even if your glimps of it was so tiny, it is extremely intense. I know that people are able to do it though. So there must be some thing I can learn from this. There must be a way to overcome this. Have you gone trough similar difficulties? Ever managed to let go of reality? I don't mean a dream where you become lucid. I mean becoming lucid to actual reality. It feels so scary, just one second of having gone near the edge and my heart starts beating stronger for minutes, without even looking down the edge of the cliff. How can I take letting go slow? It seems that I have to change my mindset from taking it slow, step by step towards just doing it in a rush. Just focus my mind on letting everything go so that the heart calms down and the mind stays clear of thought. If I try to control my spirit, the opposite happens. I loose control and become scared. I should be completely open and vulnerable? No idea what to do next. Not even sure if any philosophy or idea will be of any use here. -
The important thing is to sublimate and purify the sex energy -- people instead obsess over flexibility and the physical level. haha. I sat in full lotus during the night but this morning I was being hit on by a young female in my dream. So in my dream I did reverse breathing -- actually holding in the muscle that controls the urine. So then I woke up and went into full lotus on my bed. I sat as long as possible till my bladder was exploding and then this piss was all foamy. This means I didn't properly sublimate the sex fluid up the spine and instead it went to the prostate. On the other hand at least my kidney energy is strong enough now that I have to convert it to chi energy or else I'll lose the alchemical pill. But I need to meditate more which is a pain. haha.

Hello owledge, This is a common experience. I've experienced similar things before, it most often occurs while someone is falling asleep, when there can be confusion regarding whether one is awake or asleep. You obviously experienced that confusion. One method of inducing dream yoga is actually to try to fall asleep while maintaining conscious awareness, the transition results often in one finding themselves within their dream, knowing that they are dreaming. My own tribulations with lucid dreaming is that, even though I know that I'm dreaming, I still can't control the dream world, as in change the landscape and such, but then again, it's more fun when you don't know what's going to happen, isn't it? Long story short, nothing to worry about. If you're practicing dream yoga, then just consider this a step towards improving your awareness of your dream state. Aaron -
So how's this "revolution" of yours taking place, tjl? Like I said to ralis before, such a thing would only happen under a massive collapse of society along the lines of a great natural catastrophe. You're not going to bring socialism or whatever the hell transmogrified version of it you're championing to the USA. Well, my attorney tells me i've been 'on the list' since giving an anti-war speech in 1968, which somehow ended-up on the nightly news , and.. oddly enough found me with a draft notice that that following January.. of course, my friends expected me to go to Canada 'for the cause', but.. i figured the trade-off for having the freedom to make such a speech, was not abandoning the country that allowed 'free speech', so.. here we are again, some 43 years later, with the ethical dilemma of working within a rigged and broken system, or.. building a new one based on the Principles of the American Dream.. The USMC Vets will understand the meaning of The Crucible.. where 'trial by fire' and the 'heat' of perseverance transforms a person's belief in themselves, into the person they have intended to become.. as a nation of people with a birthright of "Inalienable Rights", we, US, and America are entering 'The Crucible' of our future, where we will reclaim "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness", as Principles that guide our 'way' into the future.. Principles which guide the cleansing of a corrupt and self-serving political system.. it is noteworthy, that politicians are elected, so begin by breaking the incumbent inclination to build networks of influence and deal-making.. a politician has one job, to represent his or her constituency as provided for by the rule of Law, and in accordance with the Constitution.. obstructionist politics, excessive re-election campaigning (more than the 6 months prior to actual elections for incumbents), and voting contrary to the expressed will of the the 'people' is not part of that job.. it is the elected representative's obligation to insure, as Abraham Lincoln so well stated, "that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth".. the first obligation is that there be such a government, then that it shall not perish.. So: "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility" find it necessary to enforce justice upon those whose oppressive policies impose suffering unnecessarily upon those whom they represent, while increasing their own security at the expense of the governed and without their consent.. and, those elected representatives who have formed corrupt or illegal alliances that influence the just and honorable representation of the governed, along with their allies or co-conspirators, shall be guilty of treason if such illegal or corrupt alliances be substantiated in a court of law at the appropriate jurisdiction of representation. I sense that a 'declaration of intentions' such as these is a reasonable policy, considering the carnage that the current political system has wrecked upon the US.. without any religious inferences, to be elected to represent the people of a free nation, is a sacred honor.. one which shall not be bought or sold, but earned and respected.. Frm people's accounts of those experiences, I always thought sleep paralysis is only when you really feel like your body is paralyzed ... for which you'd have to have a tactile sense - to feel your body. In my case, there wasn't even the question of body paralysis, because I wasn't completely there. When I tried to move my arm, I didn't feel like "Darn! I can't move my arm!", but I could move it in the somewhat dreamy world. I could manifest my intention to move my arm and I could perceive it moving somewhere ... like in a dream. That difference - if it's not just people using a bad way of describing it - might be why I didn't feel like panicking. I wasn't incapacitated. When you're in the dream world, you don't miss the ability to move your real body. The dream is real while dreaming.
