I can slip in and out of polyphasic sleeping. It is a state where deep sleep is suspended or reduced (0-4 hours a night), and dream sleep is divided into 20 minute segments and sprinkled throughout the day (every 4 hours). During some of my wilder adventures Ive spent several days, while only pretending to sleep. I usually prefer 8 hours because its healthier.

Peak Oil and the end of civilization as we know it.
strawdog65 replied to strawdog65's topic in General Discussion
from: http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepublic/viewpoints/articles/0406vip-mcpherson0406.html End of the world as we know it You might feel fine, but high oil cost, scarcity mean American Empire is about to come crashing down. Guy R. McPherson University of Arizona professor Apr. 6, 2008 12:00 AM Peak oil spells the end of civilization. And, if it's not already too late, perhaps it will prevent the extinction of our species. M. King Hubbert, a petroleum geologist employed by Shell Oil Co., described peak oil in 1956. Production of crude oil, like the production of many non-renewable resources, follows a bell-shaped curve. The top of the curve is termed "peak oil," or "Hubbert's peak," and it represents the halfway point for production. The bell-shaped curve applies at all levels, from field to country to planet. After discovery, production ramps up relatively quickly. But when the light, sweet crude on top of the field runs out, increased energy and expense are required to extract the underlying heavy, sour crude. At some point, the energy required to extract a barrel of oil exceeds the energy contained in barrel of oil, so the pumps shut down. advertisement Most of the world's oil pumps are about to shut down. We have sufficient supply to keep the world running for 30 years or so, at the current level of demand. But that's irrelevant because the days of inexpensive oil are behind us. And the American Empire absolutely demands cheap oil. Never mind the 3,000-mile Caesar salad to which we've become accustomed. Cheap oil forms the basis for the 12,000-mile supply chain underlying the "just-in-time" delivery of plastic toys from China. There goes next year's iPod. In 1956, Hubbert predicted the continental United States would peak in 1970. He was correct, and the 1970s gave us a small, temporary taste of the sociopolitical and economic consequences of expensive oil. We passed the world oil peak in 2005, and we've been easing down the other side by acquiring oil at the point of a gun - actually, guns are the smallest of the many weapons we're using - paying more for oil and destroying one culture after another as the high price of crude oil forces supply disruptions and power outages in Third World countries. The world peaked at 74.3 million barrels per day in May 2005. The two-year decline to 73.2 million barrels per day produced a doubling of the price of crude. Later this year, we fall off the oil-supply cliff, with global supply plummeting below 70 million barrels/day. Oil at merely $100 per barrel will seem like the good old days. Within a decade, we'll be staring down the barrel of a crisis: Oil at $400 per barrel brings down the American Empire, the project of globalization and water coming through the taps. Never mind happy motoring through the never-ending suburbs in the Valley of the Sun. In a decade, unemployment will be approaching 100 percent, inflation will be running at 1,000 percent and central heating will be a pipe dream. In short, this country will be well on its way to the post-industrial Stone Age. After all, no alternative energy sources scale up to the level of a few million people, much less the 6.5 billion who currently occupy Earth. Oil is necessary to extract and deliver coal and natural gas. Oil is needed to produce solar panels and wind turbines, and to maintain the electrical grid. Ninety percent of the oil consumed in this country is burned by airplanes, ships, trains and automobiles. You can kiss goodbye groceries at the local big-box grocery store: Our entire system of food production and delivery depends on cheap oil. If you're alive in a decade, it will be because you've figured out how to forage locally. The death and suffering will be unimaginable. We have come to depend on cheap oil for the delivery of food, water, shelter and medicine. Most of us are incapable of supplying these four key elements of personal survival, so trouble lies ahead when we are forced to develop means of acquiring them that don't involve a quick trip to Wal-Mart. On the other hand, the forthcoming cessation of economic growth is truly good news for the world's species and cultures. In addition, the abrupt halt of fossil-fuel consumption may slow the warming of our planetary home, thereby preventing our extinction at our own hand. Our individual survival, and our common future, depends on our ability to quickly make other arrangements. We can view this as a personal challenge, or we can take the Hemingway out. The choice is ours. For individuals interested in making other arrangements, it's time to start acquiring myriad requisite skills. It is far too late to save civilization for 300 million Americans, much less the rest of the planet's citizens, but we can take joy in a purpose-filled, intimate life. It's time to push away from the shore, to let the winds of change catch the sails of our leaky boat. It's time to trust in ourselves, our neighbors and the Earth that sustains us all. Painful though it might be, it's time to abandon the cruise ship of empire in exchange for a lifeboat. Guy R. McPherson is a professor of conservation biology at the University of Arizona. -
HOW TO OVERCOME ALIENS ARCHONS AND THE PHYSICAL PRISON
Ninpo-me-this-ninjutsu-me-that replied to DalTheJigsaw123's topic in The Rabbit Hole
That reminds me of a vivid dream I once had Leon. I remember also reading a book written by Robert Monroe the OBE guy. He described a journey he had where he came to find out spirits were attracted to the physical in some way but then became trapped and the energy they expelled while here was the energy harvested by the energy beings that controlled the area/Earth/planes. This was why everything was stacked against them being able to develop enough velocity/vibration in order for them to leave. Not so keen on the use of the word 'Alien' though, as it makes me think of 'spoon men'(close encounters of the third kind). I don't think 'Alien' can be used effectively for what it is trying to describe. It kind of misleads due to our mis-conception of it. -
- Hmmm this ia a very interesting topic - I Grew up with a mother who is extremely yang - she is absolutely ferocious - some experience with kundalini- but you know she completely tries to dominate everyone - she is a bully - she has been her whole life - it is funny - but in regards to becoming more yang- My mother would not let me do anything - she was completely suffocating - I ended up wrestling in high school which if you know anything about it is the one of the most yang things you can do - This was my obsession - High intensity weight lifting - complete extreme obsessive control type things with a very strong yang component - One thing I noticed however is that doing these extreme yang activities often make me more shy - I dont know if it because of some type of adrenal burnout or being so fired up that I cant control the juice- so sometimes the more "healthy" activities seem to lead to more shyness- so ironically it seems like I am often very yin out of fear because I cant control all the yang energy I have and it seems very hard in todays society to ex- press certain yang characteristics - and I did so much extreme yang exercise for so many years it can acually be very painful to me to be that yang - Another thing is it seems to shift in me - almost like multiple personalities - one day I may be a more yang type alpha male and much more confident and un self conscious - Next day same situations - terrified and so shy I can barely talk - But u know I have mood and perception abnormalities and what seems like some type of autistic problem It is very nice to be around nurturing females- This is something I didnt think I would ever say but it can be stabilizing to be around very old women- But u know girls in general are just great as long as they are not cynical Ironically I had a dream where I was in the kitchen at home and my father was gnawing on my testicles He was eating them and it was killing me - Then he turned into a demon and my body was being torn apart - I was dying

I don't know which girl or realization broke your heart. But do yourself a favor and drop it, for your own growth. If you keep sitting home wondering about could happen and being cynical/speculative about the truth. You'll never ever move foward. Maybe, but I dare to dream

Reverse Breathing and Central Channel
Lucky7Strikes replied to Lucky7Strikes's topic in General Discussion
I can't sleep. Don't feel the need to eat. Everything is shrouded in clarity in perpetual motion. I don't feel time. I don't feel distance. Everything feels like a hallucinating dream. It feels like my waking state and dream state is merging. -
If you want to gain personal experience with the fact that consciousness can exist separately from the physcial body take up OBE. My understanding from Robert Bruce, people fall into an extremely realistic lucid dream after death. It is so realistic that people do not know they died. You could actually be dead right now LOL. And this you can also prove to yourself as well. It is called a WILD...Wake induced lucid dream. A WILD is as realistic as reality.
-
If you heart stops beating and you lungs stop breathing for 30 minutes, are you dead? What if they stopped for only 5 minutes? Have you ever wakened from a dream, or fallen asleep and suddenly recall what exists between the two? There is a gap there. A fine line between one kind of experience and the next. Where is that gap? What does it look like? What do you feel like as you go through it? What is the 'you' that passes through?
-
Yeah, I once had a lucid dream where I tried to sleep in the dream so that I would wake up. Instead, the dream did not go away, but I was going into a meditation after a while. Don't remember much but black.

It has happened to me some times in a dream that I dream I sit in a place and begin to meditate and the concentration seems really strong and the energetic feelings more than if I meditated during day. I think I slept sitting up. Does anyone know how to purposely cause this meditation dream? It happened to me by chance more than twice. Otherwise, never meditate when you are sleepy because it's a waste of time. EXCEPT if you are only a bit sleepy which you can overcome after a few minutes you have began the meditation, in my experience. I forgot that if you are not a beginner in meditation and the chi enters the head you may begin to feel a bit like sleepy. It's normal.

I have meditated and done energy work within a lucid dream. The energetic sensations inside the body are amplified 1000 fold, and it is easy to focus the mind with little mind noise (monkey mind).

I am not talking about all those people who experience some kind of energy movement in their energy body and call that kundalini. Not every energy movement is kundalini, even if its breath taking. By that low standard, I would be a veritable kundalini master. Even Gopi Krishna's extreme energy movement is not kundalini. Or some people dream about a snake and call that kundalini. Is this what you believe?

Hi Rainbow! Well that's an interesting question. I had done dreamwork for a long time. So my dreams were pretty refined already, not lots of jumble. Twas just that my sleep made a big step into silence. It was lovely. I adjusted fine. It amused me and I wondered what exactly had happened that my unconscious had nothing to tell me.. but my dreams had shifted already into being augurs of my psychic development, some years earlier. The people close to me work with their dreams too so it wasnt an issue really, just something to smile about. The high level impact of energy work on the psyche was kind of a "oh!" It was interesting all in all to feel the deeper clarity that came instantly. I felt like my windows had been washed, and I hadnt even realised they were smeared. Of course as you know, this clearing just goes on and on.. The actual content of my dreams I dont share unless the time is right and it has something to give someone, like if I dream about someone close to me. If it seems it might be useful. Otherwise , no, I think it is for my benefit that I am being shown something. As yet, I havent felt moved to get a sandwich board out and inform the world of anything..

An advanced practitioner can do it in a few breaths. You should be able to trust your intuition to see how long it takes you. In my experience when i energize a part of my body it sot of lights up. There is usually tingleing, hot or cold, colors, pulses, and vortexes. Its very subtle. almost like a dream.
-
Actually its an absolute requirement. "If you cannot do a full wake induced real time OBE, with full reentry, it is highly unlikely you will be able to induce a full kundalini raising....If you disagree with this dream on...."-Robert Bruce Now why does Robert say this? If you cannot OBE whenever you want to, it means you have not mastered trance and energy work.

In the Toltec you purify the Tonal through Recapitulation, while you work on the Nagual through dream work I think until both sides are ready to merge, how you then merge i'm not sure, I have only heard of analogies like jumping into the abyss

Realistic is the right word- the ability to think with all possibilities. Become a human first before thinking becoming a immortal. Before getting paranormal you have to to be normal. One has to be highly sceptic and also optimistic as the time. You have to be able to hold the darkness without having it spread into you. Well it is wise to start early here as the younger you are you can have it easier to refill your resource (read the longmenpai.blogspot waht Ken post). But the special case here which make this lineage interesting is the group Dai Gong. Without it we can dream about ever come very far. And you must see it as a postiv thing that even old people get the MCO open with this help. When you say "The wise who seek to go far don't wait until they are depleted to start the path" do you not discourage elder people 60+ who now have their income to do the seminar, the calm mind and the great interest to cultivate. See how damaging this sentence can be. They may think that it is to late for them to cultivate and recover -which is exactly what the Yin Xin Fa do -with GM Wang and it would be sorry for GM Wang Liping when exactly this people may have some who are promising to achieve feats that many young one not can, because they feel inferior to the young ones and think they are even to old to cultivate. What do you think the parentsfrom Wang Liping are , they are old and they cultivate! Isnt it wonderful? Grandmaster, when? When I can sit two hours in full lotus. I want have the full results and not the results in half lotus or cross legged sitting. Maybe 1 or two years, I am daily on this, slowly because there is no haste in full lotus cultivation and I not do full Lotus endurance training. But I want ask for peace and best getting on an other thread since we now getting a bit away from the topic. Since it just start with presenting the Dates for Cultivation with Grandmaster Wang Liping Private Intensive April 20 - 29, 2011 and now go again like many post us two Taozhen about negativ thinking, karma and money issuess. Hey and I really like to see more tolerance for the people when it comes to greater money investing since doubting is common sense. Q -
When i was a child ive had dreams of spirit guides. I had very visual and elaborate daydreams when i was younger too. I think as the wheels of karma slow down and eventually stop our psyches become stronger and capable of surviving in the dream world. Its sort of like learning to breath underwater. I havent heard of ingo swann but ill look him up. thanks

What will be the future earth society?
strawdog65 replied to strawdog65's topic in General Discussion
Hi freeform! Thanks for your great reply! I begrudgingly do agree with you about Jacque Fresco. He does live within the concepts he has created by his mind. It is an amazing world he has envisioned. Unfortunately as you very well stated, the future and the future technological advancements will dictate what manifestation the future society will become. We can only very poorly predict what will come to pass as far as technologies influence on the future earth society. I do respect his fearlessness in having such a dream of the future. What are your thoughts freeform on the technological "singularity"? Do you think it will happen? Yes I know.... we can never accurately predict what the future will bring, but what are your thoughts anyway? Peace! -
it is from a band in brazil idk their name. the songs title is Balada de robert johnson. yes it sounds very early creole . i would have offered a song or 2 from my home state if i had it may have been dream, dream and cathy's clown from the everly brothers. but i thought would might appreciate the Balada de robert johnson more

This began for me during the process of the fusion of the 5 elements. After that psychic and spiritual symbols began flooding my dream experience. The lucidity has slowly increased since that time.

if you relax and silence enough you can enter the trance state. This is a state characterized by theta brain waves, heightened dmt presence in the brain, and a dream like quality of awareness. Meditation combined with yoga, qigong, and self-hypnosis, is the easiest way to get there. Once your there you will want to make an anchor to get back (nlp technique) Its a great place to explore the deeper more subtle layers of awareness.

Project through your third eye a vision screen on the back of your hand, on the sky, on a blank wall, or on a pool of water. It's like opening a window to the dream world/ spirit world. That's the basic concept. I learned it from a fellow traveler so i think you should try to download the technology from the dream world. use your imagination. its the key to the third eye.

I had the same dream with my mum when I was a kid ,it was very complex but exactly the same.I tend to think it has to do with people being very close or concentrating on each other for one reason or another quite intenlesy. And the other instance with voice could be just a premonition type of dream which happens to most people at some point/s in their life. And even more chance for people who cultivate and are in tune.
