  1. Wow that post was like a tech support wet dream You even tested the problem across multiple platforms. Thanks. I agree. I've had a bit of a look at some invision help boards but I'm not finding a lot of information regarding printing threads at the moment bu tI'll keep hunting. Thank you _/\_
  2. Eye witness accounts of the spirit world

These are perceptions of all the diffrent input senses you receive as your brain goes to sleep, only you were aware of it and also recall the experience. I can imagine how exciting the experience must have been for you. It requires disciplined practice however to gain control over your perceptions within the dream. Mostly, your consciousness is turned off during the dream because it receives no meaningful sensory input to process and it remains off during the dream itself. It can be really hard to practice becoming a lucid dreamer if it is hard to remain aware within your dreams in the first place.
  3. Taoism Vs Buddhism

For you... the two truths paradigm is probably what you need. It has nothing to do with belief, but more with experience, logic and intuition. I know you think you are completely logical. Yes, Samsara. Emptiness does not mean non-existence. There is no such thing as non-existence. You accept it within the limits of your current level of experience and interpretation of experience based upon the level of your remembered experience and interpretations. That's not reality, that's a dream clung to as reality. So, be agnostic about the possibility that you will at some point see that there is.
  4. Hello and Please Help

Hello all. I may or may not have posted here before...but here is my status. I have studying chi cultivation for over a year now. For the last 2 months I thought I had gained good control of it, but today I am like a ticking time bomb. I retained my seed since the start of october then lost it in a dream...and then again last night only I awoke and was able to somewhat lock my PC muscles in time to not lose much. During all of October I was very much focused with very little to no lustful thought. My energy was great and overall i was very happy even though it was quite a task to control this. I've found the yoga helps circulate this energy instead of just staying in my root chakra area. However it does not seem to be circulating it enough for the amount of time it takes to do all the stretching. Today is one of the first days i am finding myself to barely be able to control it. Usually masterbating without ejaculation gets things flowing alright, but that has not worked today. ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD HELP. The cup is overflowing! I do not want to waste what I have built up!
  5. To create... To love... To feel... To experience limitations... To grow... To evolve... To overcome... To dream... To move beyond... Suffering pushes us so far forward. I was graced with a greater deal of suffering than most early on in life and it has made my life so wonderful. When you look back at your beliefs and what you were 10 years ago, you can see that you are becoming so beautiful. Refine yourself and create something so beautiful. There are no limitations. Quiet your mind and experience what lies beyond.
  6. Eye witness accounts of the spirit world

I like this post. A Christian, a Muslim, a Jew, a Buddhist, and a Hindu can all look at a mountain and agree that it is a mountain. But when we come to the so-called "spirit world", we are led to a variety of differences. No two people report the "spirit world" the same way. People who become interested in the "spirit world" are simply exchanging one set of thoughts, feelings, and sensations for another. The truth is not to be found in one set of sensations over another--- the truth is so whether you are in a dream world, a waking world, or a spirit world. Exchanging a prison of iron for one of gold may look better, but the fetters still bind the same. The Buddha did not teach retreating into a "spirit world", he taught the end of suffering through the cessation of clinging/craving.
  7. Emptiness and Thought Observation

If you know that you have no thoughts, you are wrong, because when you don't have any thoughts you don't know that you don't have any. It's like when you are practicing a sport that needs concentration to win, you won't know that you are concentrated when you actually are. So forget about the fact that you need to concentrate (for example when you are meditating on a sound), just be the sound. When your mind is completely relaxed on that sound, you'll start to have like strange "dream thoughts", that's when you'll be at the edge falling asleep. Don't fall completely into these "dream thoughts" (or you'll fall asleep), but stay aware.
  8. HYPNOTIC TECHNIQUES I wrote this comment as an answer to someone who asked me what I thought of “Bashar” the “multi-dimensional E.T.”, channeled by Darryl Anka… I am posting it here in this forum because I thought it might be of interest, as many of us use “self hypnotic techniques” on ourselves in the course of our meditation practice… and to remind you to notice, when other people try to use “hypnotic techniques” on you. Now consider that all other life in the universe would consider you and I (and everyone else on earth) to be an E.T.… does that give us any special “cosmic wisdom” ? So as one E.T. (me) to another E.T. (you), I will proceed with this comment. I don’t doubt that E.T.s are real… that is not the issue… I know from personal experience that E.T.'s are real... 4 of us were sitting around a campfire in the woods one night... and a UFO snuck up on us, and stopped about 40 feet above us and to one side, then turned blindingly bright lights on us, lighting up the whole forest... the birds woke up and started chirping a dawn chorus... when it turned the lights off, we could see the UFO clearly... we could see the lights on stalks folding up into a hatch on the underside, and its’ doors close… it had a window on the side tilted down at a 45 degree angle, and we could see a brightly lit interior through the window... we didn't see any E.T.s, but if it had a window and was lit up inside, there must have been E.T.s inside... we didn't see it coming, but we had a good view of it going... nothing on earth can fly like that UFO did... it must have gone from zero to thousands of miles per hour in seconds, as it shot up at an angle into the sky, flickered a couple of times and lit up like a round light, then swept back around us, rising straight up above us in a spiral until we lost sight of it… leaving us staring at the sky with our mouths agape, while the birds were still chirping, but now sounding very confused… we had a portable radio, so we turned it on to the local radio station, which was being swamped by people reporting lights in the sky… two other times I saw a UFO, but not at such close range… The issue is not whether E.T.s are real… The issue is whether Bashar is (1) an E.T. with a physical body, (2) a spirit & what kind, or (3) a figment of Darryl’s imagination…. Darryl can say that Bashar is not a spirit, but Darryl can not know what Bashar is, except for what Bashar tells him… the possibilities are that (1) Bashar is a real voice that Darryl is channeling, or (2) Bashar is a produce of Darryl’s subconscious mind which he thinks is real, or (3) that Bashar is Darryl pretending to be Bashar… if Bashar is a channeled voice, it is impossible for Darryl to “know” for sure what Bashar is… but Darryl insists that Bashar is an E.T. with a body... the most he could know is that “Bashar SAYS he is not a spirit, but an E.T. that claims to have a body !”… If he emphatically insists that Bashar is NOT a spirit, it implies that Bashar is his own creation… that he invented Bashar… it is the only way he could be 100% sure that Bashar was not a spirit… I first checked out “Bashar” about six months ago, because some people in a forum were talking about him… but I found Darryl’s site uninteresting, because everything on it was stuff I had already seen before and was already aware of… then when I was asked about it, I went and checked Darryl’s site again with an eye for content, reading text and looking at videos… looking for anything that indicated that Bashar was an E.T… again, none of the ideas were “new wisdom”, but the videos really put me off (explained below)… then when I got a reply from Darryl himself, I went back, and with a very critical eye checked out more than twenty sites… reading his site, looking at videos as far back as 1984, reading comments in forums, looking at sites for and against Bashar… (I will keep this as simple as possible…)... there are many mistakes in what Bashar says, and he quotes the Buddha and other people (word for word sometimes) as if the ideas and concepts are his… THIS IS BLATANT DECEPTION, but I don’t want to elaborate on that, because saying that the content contains nothing new, sums it up… and anyway the content is not the issue. CONCLUSION… 1)… NOTHING NEW… Most of the ideas and concepts on Darryl’s site are good… But that is because these ideas and concepts were all taken from the best of existing earth sources… the site is a rehash of much of the earth’s mystic wisdom concerning consciousness… none of the ideas are from Bashar of Darryl… none of the material is original… my conclusion is that Bashar and Darryl are the same person, and that he knows it. 2)… HYPNOYIC PRESENTATION TECHNIQUE… Bashar’s “manic” presentation is a hypnotic technique… in the videos when Darryl is channeling Bashar, it looks like Darryl is having a “manic episode” (as in manic/depressive)… because of his gestures, loud forceful voice, the cadence and selective inflection of his voice, repetition, and non-stop monologue… Bashar/Darryl is making a “hypnotic presentation”… Darryl’s performance as Bashar is an engineered “hypnotic technique” to put you into a state of euphoria (light trance state), through the production of brain chemicals called endorphins. It gets you high without drugs. It also makes you vulnerable to suggestion. The mechanics are similar to what you might experience in some “controlled” meditation courses, where you listen to tapes… chanting a mantra can have the same effect… The difference is that with Bashar/Darryl, it is likely that you will be fed a number of beliefs designed to manipulate you (both within the written materials and the videos)… "yes sets."… You will find strings of two or three statements anyone would agree with as being true. As you read or listen to them, you will automatically say "yes." Then there will be an arbitrary statement of an opinion that Darryl wants you to buy into by continuing to say "yes." Darryl is using the same manic hypnotic presentation technique that fundamentalist evangelical Christian preachers uses; to work their congregation up into a temporary state of bliss (he titillates their endorphins), so that they feel good… the congregation thinks that the bliss is spirituality (but it is not, it is just induced bliss)… so they keep coming back for more… thinking that the preacher is channeling the voice of God… and…. It is the same manic hypnotic technique that Hitler used in Germany to make the Germans “feel good”, so that he could gain power… the same method that he continued to use non-stop for years, driving the Germans into the madness (mania) of the Nazi atrocities… and… it is the same method that Rush Limbaugh, the right wing commentator uses to pump up an endorphin high in his neo-con listeners… the same method that a fast talking comedian, or fast talking salesman uses. Darryl is using Bashar “to give importance and authority” to what he says… without Bashar, no one would pay any attention to him… he would be just another voice in the wilderness… Bashar is his ticket to fame and fortune… By speaking as Bashar, the multi-dimensional E.T. living in the future, he has made himself rich and famous… people flock to him because they think they are talking to an E.T… 3)… EMPOWERING YOURSELF… To develop your “spirituality”, you need to have the “confidence” or “self esteem”, to believe that you can do it… but never forget that “empowering yourself” JUST means building up your self esteem, so that you believe in yourself, and that you believe that you are capable of doing what you aspire to do… it is not spirituality itself… and if you take “empowering yourself” too far, it will give you a very big ego, and you will have too much self esteem… causing you to look down on other people as being “inferior” (it will turn you into a “Nazi”)… and then your big ego will keep you from developing your “spirituality”… too little or too much is a problem, you need to “feel” your way, and find “the middle path” (balance). The only useful thing that Darryl’s site offers is “how to empower yourself”… using the idea of imagining a “new positive reality”, and then dropping the “old negative reality”… you create an avatar of yourself that is the person you want to be, then you assume that avatar as the real you, and then you live it as your “new positive reality”… Darryl probably used this method on himself… he wanted to be able to channel an E.T… so he created the reality he wanted, and just assumed it… whether he “believes” that Bashar is real, or not, I don’t know… but he has no qualms about deceiving people (he is already blatantly passing off other people’s wisdom, as Bashar’s wisdom)… to him it is just living his dream… and Bashar is an extremely profitable (multi-millions) business venture as well… and he would justify any deception by saying how much good he is doing by helping people to empower themselves… or in Darryl’s own words (from his reply), he has “helped people make positive, self-empowering changes in their lives”… Other people who claim to be channeling Bashir as well, cannot even prove that they are channeling anything… much less that they are channeling an E.T., a spirit, or Bashar… it is impossible to prove or disprove… any con-man could mimic Bashir, just to get a piece of the action, to cash in on Basher’s “fame” (because Bashar is a very profitable business)… no matter what people “claim” as “proof”, it is impossible to prove or disprove… In any case, even if Darryl really is channeling Bashar, I would not want to have anything to do with the entity he is channeling… not only because he is deceptive… but also because I don’t trust any entity (human or otherwise) that tries to use a “hypnotic technique” on me… especially when they are not up front about it… a “hypnotic technique” is a “control trip”, that I might use on myself in my meditation practice to “reprogram” myself… but I would never use it on someone else, nor would I allow someone else to use it on me. 4)… THE CHURCH OF SCIENTOLOGY… In my opinion, Darryl is just another “spin-off” from the “church of scientology”, because a lot of his methods and morals come from scientology… scientology people are famous for scamming other people… their de-programming methods (called “auditing”) are designed to “hypnotize” people into trusting them completely, then they will victimize people (sucking money & free labor out of them)… then after victimizing them, if they complain, scientology people will then tell them that, “In this life there are no victims, only opportunities”... their “new positive reality” that they have assumed, conveniently shifts the “blame” onto the “victim”… it is the victim’s fault for allowing themselves to be victimized… although it is true to say that it is the victims fault for allowing themselves to be victimized, it is also true to say that the victims were hypnotized into trusting deceptive slime balls who then victimized them… Quote from Anderson Report… “It is the firm conclusion of this Board that most scientology and dianetic techniques are those of “authoritative hypnosis” and as such are dangerous ... the scientific evidence which the Board heard from several expert witnesses of the highest repute ... leads to the inescapable conclusion that it is only in name that there is any difference between authoritative hypnosis and most of the techniques of scientology. Many scientology techniques are in fact hypnotic techniques, and Hubbard (the founder of “scientology”) has not changed their nature by changing their names.” This is the “Bashar” site, if you don’t know who he is. http://www.bashar.org/ I think you may find the four links below, which are articles, all from the same site, to be interesting. 9. Taoism Vs Buddhism

Gee, it's the same, most spiritual paths lead to the same ending. In our case: entering Wuji. Buddhism: reaching Nirvana/Paranirvana. Christianity (the real one, mystic Christianity): communion with God, total loss of sense of self and pure infinite awareness of the Greater Order which has no start and no end. Islam (Sufism, the real Islam): And I began to melt away at that, as lead melts (in the heat of the fire). Then He gave me to drink from the Fountain of Grace in the Cup of Fellowship, and transformed me into a state beyond description, and brought me near unto Him, and so near did He bring me that I became nearer to Him than the spirit to the body. And I continued thus until I became even as souls of men had been in the state before existence was (Bastami, Sufi Mystic, 804-874 AD). The Sufi concept of the power of the saint's soul to travel and in its spiritual form, even after death, to appear to the living. The Quran mentions that some of those who have proven their sincerity have achieved a life beyond the grave (سَبِيلِ اللّهِ أَمْوَاتًا بَلْ أَحْيَاء عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ; Wala tahsabanna allatheena qutiloo fee sabeeli Allahi amwatan bal ahyaon AAinda rabbihim yurzaqoona; Think not of those who are slain in Allah's way as dead. Nay, they live, finding their sustenance in the presence of their Lord). Free of Samasara, they travel back and forth between the Samsaric dream and the Ultimate Reality. Buddhas do the same thing, I have seen them in my meditations and it is a wonderful experience that keeps your motivation levels high all the time. No more dark night of the soul which is a really painful experience that can last for years. Some spiritual practitioners end up giving up because of this difficult barrier to break. I recommend retreat as a recipe and close support/monitoring from an accomplished teacher.
  10. Head in the clouds

From time to time I tend to sort of get lost in my own little fantasy world in my head. I am trying to figure out what causes this, and what I should work on to lessen this. I am thinking either or both the upper dan tien and / or the heart. I suspect the upper dan tien because that is where your brain and perception are located, so perhaps if it is over active one may live up there there and not come down to earth. The reason I suspect the heart is not only is it related to the mind, but also its problem area is over excitement. Since daily life can seem a little dull to some of the fantasies that we can dream up, or see in movies, I was wondering if its the hearts way of feeding itself with the over excitement it craves when its not in a state of balance. These are just some thoughts, and I would be interested if anyone else had some insight, or even better experience dealing with this.
  11. Taoist's position on celibacy

So what your guys opinions on the taoist's postion on celibacy? From what I understand taoist philosophy is based upon living balanced life. Both a life of celibacy and constant sexual activities would be on both sides if the extreme. My link, heres a link talking about taoists view and has quotes from taoists masters saying their view on how often a man should ejaculate. What all the masters have in common is that they limit ejaculation to about twice a month, and say that one should have a ratio of about one emmision per every hundred copulations, therefore these masters learn how to copulate without ejaculation and control their orgasms. What does everyone here think about this? Do you think these practices of sexual control should be more talked about in modern day taoist thought? These masters say it is vital for a man to begin looking into taoist sexual control practices by age 30 and by age 40 having learned and practice them, otherwise serious ailments will bestow upon the body. Obviously this field of practice was looked upon as very important to these taoist masters and necessary for perfect health. They also say how simply retaining from ejaculation altogether is unbalanced and will lead cause the body to build up sexual desire and climax in a wet dream or nighttime emission, which these masters say is 100 times worse for the body than a regular emission, so avoiding the issue seems to go very against the taoist philosophy of balance and control of ones life.
  12. Australian Aboriginal Dreamtime

Hi there, That was beautifully said. I love all native people to what ever land we live on and always try and show respect... It is amazing to talk to them, and they have cool and wonderful things to tell us if we listen, if we only take the time... My Grandma was from the wagon days 1905 here in West Texas and she could just pick something that looked like a weed and boil it and make medicine, her own eye drops a so forth. Never went to the doctor, and lived a long time. She loved to show this x on her leg where a snake bit her and they had to suck the poison out... If we would only listen to these people, we are loosing so much... As far as dreaming... That is a deeper a subject than most people know... I know very little on it. But we dream walk all the time in our sleep, it's just remembering it. We can even met up in our dreams, to cool... Life is an amazing place... That is an awesome thread... Thanks Melanie
  13. Taoism Vs Buddhism

Well that compressed singularity is considered by Buddhists, the compressed effects left over from the previous universe just waiting for conditions to arise for it to blossom. Though in this case, like a seed, but it's still not considered an inherent singularity, as it is filled with infinite potential left over from endless universal cycles connected to other dimensions or other universes active in other dimensions right now. This is too complex to conceptualize perfectly by me. But, this seed state is like the effects left in your unconscious mind from things experienced previously that arise as subtle impressions in your subconscious ongoing dream state, governing your conscious mind and these impressions come to light through your conscious mind and physical actions only when conditions arise that allow for that to happen. It's kind of how we are all individual universes existing in our own dimension arising co-dependently with other individual universes that are individual people, animals, sentient beings. Because one individual dies or collapses, doesn't mean that another doesn't continue to exist on this paradigm, or that the one that collapsed on this paradigm doesn't continue in another. As in the concept of the individual mind stream moving on into another incarnation or dimension of experience beyond this seeming realm of experience? So, supposedly, there are endlessly connected universes and this universe is not the only one active right now, so when one universe goes into collapse, there are still others in other dimensions, yet connected too that still radiate energies that cross-effect other universes. So on and so forth endlessly. All these endless amount of universes or cosmic cycles are constantly effecting each other like various levels of consciousness. Eh, my explanation is so imperfect. I tried.
  14. Qigong/ Third eye experiences

This is good, but it can be bad. You have a blessing and a curse, for as great as the positive/love/bliss energy feels, the initiatory honeymoond period inevitably ends and having a illuminated/sensitive third eye you will have to deal with the negative energy that others put off, and transmute it in the lower tan tian to be alchemized to pure chi then to shen through love energy frequency/vibrational living and stillness meditation. You will be very sensitive to the energy of others, exponentially more so than a non-cultivator. Keep on 'seeing through everything' illusionary and see only the Source and its infinite love and energy, like a bottomless well. It may be hard, as the negative energy will accumulate and be overwhelming if not dealt with and may manifest in negative behavior/thoughts. Let me ask you, when you speak of 'flexing' your third eye, can you literally feel and move the energy in the area of the pineal gland/third eye, just the same as if you were wiggling/flexing your toes? If so, you speak of true cultivation, but beware, your lack of experience with qi gong/meditation may prove hindersome in your path with this energetic/psychic channel illuminated, I suggest you take up and study meditation and the Way, the way of non-being, the way of stillness, the way of living life as a dream, living in total Oneness unity that is your nature.
  15. Approach to Life

Fellow bums, I have The Importance of Living by Lin Yutang, written in 1937. Most everyone here will know Lin Yutang was a well-known Tao translator, and a prolific writer. This is the most endearing and engaging philosophical book, and I would like to share some of its contents with you. He seems to have the Tao philosophy intervowen into his thoughts and his humor. - Manitou APPROACH TO LIFE (PAGE 1) "The Chinese philosopher is one who dreams with one eye open, who views life with love and sweet irony, who mixes his cynicism with a kindly tolerance, and who alternately wakes up from life's dream and then nods again, feeling more alive when he is dreaming than when he is awake, thereby investing his waking life with a dream-world quality. He sees with one eye closed and with one eye opened the futility of much that goes on around him and of his own endeavors, but barely retains enough sense of reality to determine to go through with it. He is seldom disillusioned because he has no illusions, and seldom disappointed because he never had extravagant hopes. In this way his spirit is emancipated. For, after surveying the field of Chinese literature and philosophy, I come to the conclusion that the highest ideal of Chinese culture has always been a man with a sense of detachment (takuan) toward life based on a sense of wise disenchantment. From this detachment comes high mindedness, a high mindedness which enables one to go through life with tolerant irony and escape the temptations of fame and wealth and achievement, and eventually makes him take what comes. And from this detachment arise also his sense of freedom, his love of vagabondange and his pride and nonchalance. It is only with this sense of freedom and nonchalance that one eventually arrives at the keen and intense joy of living. It is useless for me to say whether my philosophy is valid or not for the Westerner. To understand Western life, one would have to look at it as a Westerner born, with his own temperament, his bodily attitudes and his own set of nerves. I have no doubt that American nerves can stand a good many things that Chinese nerves cannot stand, and vice versa. It is good that it should be so - that we should all be born different. and yet it is all a question of relativity. I am quite sure that amidst the hustle and bustle of American life, there is a great deal of wistfulness, of the divine desire to lie on a plot of grass under tall beautiful trees of an idle afternoon and just do nothing. The necessity for such common cries as "Wake up and live" is to me a good sign that a wise portion of American humanity prefer to dream the hours away. The American is after all not as bad as all that. It is only a question whether he will have more or less of that sort of thing, and how he will arrange to make it possible. Perhaps the American is merely ashamed of the word "loafing" in a world where everybody is doing something, but somehow, as sure as I know he is also an animal, he likes sometimes to have his muscles relaxed, to stretch on the sand, or to lie still with one leg comfortably curled up and one arm placed below his head as his pillow. If so, he cannot be very different from Yen Huei, who had exactly that virtue and whom Confucius desperately admired among all his disciples. The only thing I desire to see is that he be honmest about it, and that he proclaim to the world that he likes it when he likes it, that it is not when he is working in the office but when he is lying idly on the sand that his soul utters, "Life is beautiful."
  16. The Way of the Warrior

Ah I love a Fanatic! oops, I meant a flag toting patriot Wow. Do you even read what you write? No really? Do you? Read it again. Now once more... Is it starting to look kind of silly and idealistic yet? first, sure maybe its not a Government although that Government is put there [some of] its people. And that is what the rest of the world [us] see. Sure its not the military either, But without the U.S. Military killing all over the world we would probably be in a much better situation globally. But not a piece of dirt with borders? Really? Tell that to the millions of Mexicans who get arrested trying to cross over. Tell that to all the gun toting Idiots ready to defend their land to the death! And then you say Its an Ideal available to every Human on the planet! But wait, no its not! Its only available to the Brave and courageous! I am confused! which is it? apparently I, and all the other scared, lonely frightened people are just not worthy of it! Did you Realise that you just outlined a Fascist Regime? A Fascist State may {some would not and would just be honest about their authoritarian nature} tell people that they are Free. But If someone such as my self criticises the way that they function, then they would deny me my Freedom on the grounds of my cancerous fearful nature. So am I free, or am I only free do do as you tell me? This is what I am finding very funny about many of the American patriot or right wing attitudes. They claim to be Supporting freedom like yourself but are full of Fascist undertones. Please read, The Mass psychology of Fascism. Its written by an American who had his books burned in America, the land of the Free. Now. I appreciate that you have a dream of what America, and Freedom could be like. I too Like the Vision of the Founders. But to think that that Vision, noble as it may be, can be enforced on the rest of the world is Fascism. I personally am sick of seeing American troops slaughtering foreigners for a Dream. Do you hear me? A Dream is just that. I practice spirituality to wake up from Dreams. And the American Dream has become a nightmare. weigh up the two: 1. A dream of freedom for all, worth Fighting for. 2. The actual waking reality of Slaughter, Murder and Theft on an epic scale. Take of your American Flag coloured sunglasses and see the world as it really is. Seth.
  17. The Way of the Warrior

I take exception, as an American, to the grave charges you have irresponsibly posted.. America is NOT the government and is NOT the military.. America is brilliant dream conceived by men and women of great hope and vision.. America is an idea that has yet to reach its potential.. it is pandering tripe like you have posted that tarnishes the dream and the vision, that regardless of greed and skullduggery behind behind the motives, good, brave, and decent men and women died or were forever scarred.. not for the greed, they didn't know.. not for the corrupt intentions, they didn't know.. they setaside their lives and their potentials for that great dream, America.. If you want to challenge the government on its policies, be specific and know your facts.. but, do not drag America, the vision, hope and dream and the decent men and women made the ultimate sacrifices into your misplaced and misunderstood 'coolness'.. It is that dream of freedom and of free speech that you are enjoying right here and right now, that was bought with blood and honor based on the promise of America.. choose your battles very carefully, losing America is the war we can't afford to lose.. I am not fond of US policy, foreign or domestic.. i am less fond of political theater for the purposes of playing Americans like stupid piggy-banks at the expense of the future of America's greatest hope, its childern.. i detest war, and the absurdity that believes it to be a valid resolution for any cause.. and, i'm very good at it, only because the dream that is America will not perish on my watch.. and there are causes, both foreign and domestic, that would see that dream dismantled for an ideology of servitude to greed or god, and i serve no man or ideology or deity.. i do not 'serve' America, it is what i choose to be, an American.. not the representative of the United States of America's government, but an ambassador of the hopes dreams and visions of the founding men and women.. So, rethink your vile descriptions of America, and put the blame where it belongs.. on greed and corruption, on government beholdin' to corporate sugar-daddies, and on a nation of people too feeble-minded to speak the truth, and too weak of spirit to hold their elected officials accountable.. and, do not speak ill of the men and women of the military, speak ill of the governments that find it so casually acceptable to negotiate with guns.. Be well
  18. Very much agreed. You see your spirit world while I perceive a completely different way of life and illumination. For example..since you believe in hells they manifest in your subjective phase of consciousness regardless if they objectively exist. Or since you believe in reincarnation you re create it for yourself. Your eye witness is in fact your exploration into your own inner dream state. While you live off imagined past lives and necessary reincarnations..I live off of creating my own essence and realities as I move through change. Your eyes are much different than mine
  19. "The awareness that we can achieve this direct transformational experience of the sacred central intelligence of our planet stands at the epicenter of the New Mysteries. It is an integral part of the re-enchantment of ourselves as well as the re-enchantment of Nature, one that may convey to us the knowledge as well as the certainty of our ecological niche within Sophia's Dream. This alone will reveal to us the shape and direction of our destiny as souls traveling across eternity...." http://www.sharedwisdom.com/article/new-mysteries-sophias-dream
  20. I do that without having had to meditate. Intellectual attribute. The mind watching itself. Comes naturally when thinking is a hobby. About my self-critique in my dream: I think this occured because lately I did a lot of critique of TV series, pointing out the flaws in characters' behavior to myself. Generally I noticed that when I do something specific a lot so that it almost becomes a habit, it tends to be reflected in my dreams.
  21. Your behavior in dreams - realistic in a way?

goldisheavy hit a lot of good points. As a tip for lucid dreaming (if you're into that sort of thing, and don't do it naturally/spontaneously very often), monitoring your behavior in a dream is a great dream sign to take note of. A trick for lucid dreaming is "dream signs", so if you habitually act out of character in a dream, record that in a dream journal (or just keep a mental note). As you become more aware of it, the next time it happens in a dream, you can say, "why am I doing this? That's right, it's a dream sign. This is a dream!" Keeping awareness of your thoughts and actions is also something that one can cultivate through meditation, and carry it with you in all of your actions. So in that sense, each area helps the other one out. As for why? Well, try asking that question in a dream
  22. Poll: ET Contactee?

Only close thing really I'd say was a dream/deja vu. I woke up resting my head on my counter next to my computer, it was in a house in florida, in that house and the one before weird things took place, before my practice. Anyway I woke up and notice parents were outside so I went out to get the groceries and as I went out I stood there for a second and remembered a dream (I would imagine). Where I looked up and it was completely dark and then there was just green, the closer to the center of it I could'nt see, but because the "ship" was black I could'nt really get a look at it, being my eyes were focused on the green. The green took up pretty much all I could see and was reasonably close to the ground. It was a green hue, then I just got the groceries haha. Bout it, never really wondered about it.
  23. I was wondering what you think or what people might have researched about this: Could the behavior of the dreamer in a dream be considered realistic, i.e. how he would act in the real world based on the current personality? And if so, what parts of the self would have to be removed in order to make this the case? I mean, I got the impression that it's a bit like when people are drunk and thus less inhibited. What exactly is missing or faded out there in a state of drunkenness? I would say that what's missing in dreams is something different, but I can't say what. Does it always seem like some higher part is missing and one acts more animalistic and impulsive in a dream? Or does it only seem that way when the dream is about unprocessed fears? Because my behavior in a dream kinda positively surprised me a bit, and another point of interest would be to hear about 'dream anomalies' that caught your attention and might give more insight into this. One dream anomaly of mine would be that in one dream at one point I was thinking about myself "Why isn't he doing xy?!" like I was watching my own actions. Another interesting dream anomaly (dunno whether helpful for this topic though) was when I had a dream that took place in the same fictional environment as a former dream did, and I seemed to remember helpful things from the first dream. Either that, or it was a kind of déjà vu in a dream.
  24. Hey

Thanks.. interesting sounds allot better then insane had me another wild dream this night, with multiple charecters.. and some sort of quest, which I didn't finish. And snaps which could be best described as a fullfledged comedy.. atleast it made me laugh. Apart from one thing, I saw two people drowning while floating in the air, it didn't scare me.. just suprised me.
  25. Gold Dragon Body Photos

The outer world is the past's manifestation of habit energies of the inner world. There is not much of a difference, only timeliness. Like you imagine unicorns during the day then experience them as "real" in the dream. You are mentally hungry so you move your body and eat food, a physical manifestation... Your mentality conditions your physical actions and the coming physical reality. This is really something taken for granted by us in everyday reactions. No such thing as objective reality, only a shared dream! 2 Cents...
