I have times during intense spiritual training periods where I'll have a dream, forget it, then the event will happen exactly as in the dream and it'll all flood back that it's been experienced before, it's never big stuff though, it's usually people saying things they normally wouldn't do and then the I REMEMBER YOU SAYING THAT moment, or meeting someone in a certain place who I haven't seen for 3 years the events play out word for word, it's highly amusing. Quite frankly, it's always good events, I'm pleased I'm not seeing murders or anything.

Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Bill Hicks 1961-1994 -
Two years ago there was a tiger snake that had taken up residence in a corner of our yard. Tiger snakes are one of the most dangerous in the world. The risk to leave it there was too great and no one would even go outside anymore for fear of it possibly striking. It remained in the same area of the garden for over a week, so a family member decided they would kill it after returning from a weekend away. But by doing this, they would be putting themself in real danger. I really did not want it to be killed, but knowing that the family member was determined to do so, i faced a dilema. I really did not want the family member risking their life, so I decided to kill the snake while they were away. This was a very difficult decision. Before carrying out the act, i apologised in advance to the snake, saying that another person was determined to kill it, and I didn't want them to face the risk involved on doing so. I apologised again and again, and eventually terminated the snakes' life. Imediately afterwards, I cried and felt terrible. That night I had a very vivid dream where my body was covered in snakes crawling all over me. I was ready to face to retribution that I was expecting the snake to deal out to me. They were angry with me, yet somehow understood my reluctance in killing the tiger snake who was obviously a memeber of their family, and that I did it only so that my family member would not put themself in danger. In some way, I honestly feel that snakes understood that though they lost a member of their family, I had risked my own saftey for the sake of a member of my family, and so they eventualy left me and the dream ended. To this day, I still sometimes pray for that snake, dedicating merits to it, and I'm also glad that my family member did not face a dangerous situation. We should always avoid killing. May all beings have peace.

Stay Darin ... Like your energies here ... In this world whose nature is like a dream, there is place for praise and blame, but in the ultimate Reality of the Dharmakaya which is far beyond the senses and the discriminating mind, what is there to praise? O thou most Wise!

OK lets run with this as it could be interesting. I think it might be more correct to say that conciousness can only be centred in one of the bodies at any point in time. The reason I say this is that schizophrenics are seemingly experiencing the dream realms on top of the physical hence them seeing and hearing things. I remember reading something way back about clairvoyants that said they could see the astral body (dream body) several inches out of alignment in mental patients. Now I'm not saying I believe the astral body ever leaves the physical, as some teach, but the idea that one of our bodies could be un-centred or out of alignment is interesting. If we stick with your system and say that body one is the physical and body eight is the celestial, or whatever you might term it, then we should consider how we move from body to body. I've been taught that you can move up and down but that you can't jump i.e. You can't move from body one straight to body eight as you have to move through each body in sequence. Now hears the interesting bit, if you think of conciousness as a field that is centred in one body but impinges on the others with lessening awareness the further it gets away from the centre point. Now in our schizophrenic the conciousness seems to have become elongated, think sausage shape, so that it can function while seemingly being centred in two bodies which of course is not supposed to happen. This illustration might help: Hmm I think growing up and becoming conditioned by society might be more damaging to the individual. There's a lot to be said for innocents and naivety but hey we all grow up eventually don't we?

I read in this book: http://tinyurl.com/5rqksp that some traditions of Taoism do celestial projection to 'walk' the constellations. This is to do with the release of the light body. Does anyone know if this book is worth buying - I read part of it in the book shop but didn't want to buy it unless it was any good. I was impressed by your dream by the way.

Interesting dream. The connection is done in certain schools with the five (major) planets + sun and moon and in this case there is a direct link with your dream. Good ! YM Sorry but this is not the system we use so I am not able to give precise details. I have heard various teachers explaining this among the "other" systems of embodying the stars and I am quite sure I also read about it, but at present cannot recall where. YM

Yes I've heard similar things although I went the Occult route. I often think that the disagreements between Taoism and Buddhism are just a smokescreen. I tend to think that Taoism, what ever that is, dislikes the explicit nature of Buddhism especially Tibetan Buddhism. It's ironic that even though Tibetan Buddhism shouts the truth from the rooftops only a few get it. As for Taoism, well there's the 'Tao Te Ching' and that's that!! Oh and as for the body thing I think a person can only be concious in one body at a time so they are all available but are doorways to different levels of perception. You can't be in the dream realms and the physical at the same time consciously. Of course trying to be in two places at once is sorcery and the road to madness.

Most people live in a 'dream world' and it's not an 'American dream' but a phantom created by those that manipulate. Sorry no enlightenment on this thread please move along!! There is no duality as that's just a mind-job for suckers. The same people are running the show and religion and politics are just a few of their tools. Female president or black president, which serves those in power more? Voting is a lie for dim people that like to live in a fantasy world. I could insight violence now but that's not the way. Just accept that some people are clever, some are stupid and a few are wise so if you fuck with me I'll kill you. Oh and one last thing Margaret Thatcher is a whore and so is Bill Clinton! EDIT: I'm just about to watch an episode of 'Northern Exposure' entitled 'Democracy In America' (I'll let you know how it goes)! Yeah like demon-mock-crassy! Now where's my gun as I want to create a new amendment. Hey Saudi Arabia is ran by power pissed nutters as well so perhaps the SUV is the sign of the beast? Oh for the simple life!

I feel the same way. For the first time since I've been able to vote (9 years) I really feel proud of our country. I don't think Obama is going to wave a magic wand and fix everything but I do believe that we can get back some of our lost credibility. I also hope that the notion of pre-emptive war has left with the Bush administration. Yes we need to defend ourselves but the first course of action is to prevent the conflict from it's root - not at the gross level by attacking and invading other countries. What I'm most excited about is that I feel hopeful and have heard the first real positive speech from a president-elect in quite some time. The whole idea behind "Yes we can" is very powerful on many levels. I have a renewed sense of hope that as a nation we can solve these problems and revive the American dream of the land of opportunity.

heya phore! many years ago, when i was a member of a "serious" wicca group, i made an experiment with the invocation of a godess. i was ill (had caught a terrible cold) and i called the godess isis for help. i did this out of intuition. soon after my "invocation" i fell asleep. i started dreaming. and in my dream i met the godess. i was so surprised and impressed that i tried to paint a picture with water colours some days later, when i felt better. i cant say that the process of healing was shorter or something like that. and of course the sceptics will say that my dream-vision was nothing but a result of fever. but for me this was a real encounter with the godess. it was very convincing, because in my dream i had seen isis with all her attributes (that i did not know before). and afterwards i found all these details (that i had seen in my dream) in a book. my experiences with wicca were mostly positive. i learned a lot about energy work. and the excercises they did remind me a little bit of the zanh zhuang chi kung. and the healing ceremonies were similar to some of the chi kung practices. wiccan energy work led me to chi kung some years later... a gwyr arwin arbed sirius

we have had this conversation before. Mwight Sounds like you know a couple of dead beats. unfortunately I too know far too many people who fall into this category. I know one guy who has by far the biggest Occult library i have ever seen, all bought for him by his parents, and stored where he lives, in their Attic. He is covered in 'magical' tattoos, has absolutely no people skill and is on anti depressants. and there are probably thousands+ like him or worse. Same goes for wanna be Taoists, Tantrics, Martial artists, Shaman, muggles, atheists, fashion victims, potheads, blah blah blah. there are millions of mal-adapted people living in their parents basements, simply accepting whatever belief system is most comfortable for them to accept. that doesn't make everyone in their chosen field in their category. What I have learnt from Magick is that if you want the real stuff you have to dig for it, and go 110%, and you have to really live it. Which doesnt mean just reading shlock like ted andrews and wearing a purple velvet robe around like most of the fat pagans out there. As for Enlightenment cant say, ain't there yet. What about all the ancient lama's who sat around all day in deep meditation and never got there. Wasted lives? they never even had any fun... Most systems will agree that a 'prerequisite' for enlightenment is the breaking down the Ego structures. Magick can be Superb for achieving this as you can regularly completely change your sense of self, thus slowly realizing the ego's dream like nature. For me Magick is the perfect adjunct for my Spiritual path. And it Rocks! Occasionally someone asks me why I practice Magick and I find it really hard to answer. I can say "Oh, it help me change things, or create things..." but that just doesn't really cut it for me. How can I convey the feeling of Directly interacting with the Conscious Living Universe - The intense Joy of being in reciprocal relationship with all of life - The constant deepening sense that it is all just a grand play of Consciousness - The complete Mystical breakthrough that a good ritual can deliver - The full opening of ones feeling capacity to everything in existence... Most people seem dead and grey to me. I cant believe how shut down humans are to everything, and how little Magick they have in their lives, mainly because of Fascist patriarchal religions telling everyone that they have the only true and sanctioned way to reality. I just feel a great compassion for them. Because of Magick. In my Tantric Tradition I guess you could say that Magick is on the Shakti/Energy/Immanent side of reality and Meditation is on the Shiva/Consciousness/Transcendent side and also that you cant separate Shiva from Shakti, or Spirit from Creation. Its all one and magick is our birth right. In Joy and Love Seth Ananda

Forgive me if I am repeating people. I have not read through the posts here but felt my perspective might help. In my opinion creation is about process or relationship. Thoughts like anything else in nature come from the the process or communications of heaven and earth yin and yang. You choose to claim or identify with certain thoughts just as you can claim a peace of land. Humanity rests between haven and earth or divinity and biology if you like, one foot in each. This is why I say control is illusional and its attempt is draining, most of the general communication I see is an attempt to predict and manipulate, not communicating freely our ling or true self this drains us. That is true freedom, freedom of expression like in a dream. If I had to pick one thing we control, it is how much we wish to open and create space for this process of the life force. The rest is relating to family. I hope that makes sense and helps.

You don't need a Thomas Ashley-Farrand to teach you mantra. There are absolutely no one-size-fits all when it comes to Mantra meditation. The things that matter are how a Mantra resonates with you and who initiated you into the Mantra or how you came about it. I was given the Gayatri Mantra in the Rig Vedic tradition as that has been my family tradition for thousands of years. I was given the Vasudeva mantra in a dream by a Sadhu when I was going to through an especially tumultuous phase in my life. Some Mantras will draw you automatically (by power of resonance). The special thing about Mantras is in the Meter (known as Chchanda in Sanskrit) and the pronunciation. Before starting Sanskrit mantras, it is very important to first learn how to pronounce the letters of Sanskrit correctly. There are 50 letters in Sanskrit (as opposed to the 26 in English) and there is a proper manner in which they are pronounced. Learning the proper pronunciation, meter, inflection and intonation is paramount if you want to have a successful Mantra meditation practice. You do understand that certain systems have certain practices that are put in order for success to actually happen in that system. Like the Mo Pai for example. It's nice to fantasize about just waking up being able to do all of things that all the masters can do, like John Chang for example but it doesnt work that way. While its true that realization helps in progress but that's not all there is. You dont roll out of bed with a dream and desire and willingness and knowledge of being a doctor. You go in steps. You dont hop onto a weight bench and load up 350 and start hammering out reps. There are people that charge money to teach you and they have abilities and are great teachers but I dont think it's right to charge. It's up to the practitioner if he or she feels the teacher is worth the money. The best teacher's I've ever met dont charge a cent, just blood sweat and tears as they say. Most of us will walk through life blindfolded to reality. Some of us will read a little something or feel a little something or see a little something and be inspired and want to learn more. It's ok to have a master or teacher that can instruct you because most people dont know what to do. It's nice to wake up and realize that we are all apart of something bigger but then what? Do you devote time to meditation, prayer, work, what? People dont know that answer usually. The uninitiated, when you mention meditation, they think of a yogi in a cave going " OOOMMMMMMM" all day and night, they know nothing of moving meditation, lying meditation, or that yoga is meditation etc. Some people have a natural knack of picking up on certain meditations, like Wim Hof. I agree that we are all capable of awakening to a whole other level of existence, I wouldnt say it's just a flip of the switch however. I'd slap you if I were bling owl uriah's right. John has never charged a cent for either teaching or healing. Even before he got into the business of making a shit load of money, he healed free of charge. It's the mo pai way. Free.

it strikes me that I have had two dreams in the past week that had deep - (one was a dream within a dream) connections with departed loved ones- in the first, I "awoke" from a long conversation with my departed mom to tell a bunch of folks the good news she offered -(it'll be alright! -I've been financialy troubled of late)- And I awoke again -this time into this plane- feeling safe from dire poverty somehow!! the 2nd was a good friend who was murdered by the KKK and he too said -don't worry enjoy life -but stay safe!!! right after the visit with him I was attacked- (still in my sleep) by an entity that I somehow "knew"- I said in my dream "I know you!!" - Then I just kicked him twice quickly in the throat and woke up from my having kicked the wall as I slept... each an uplifting gift from the other side So I can now relax & enjoy what inner peace I have found... but stay aware of dangers!

Experiencing nothing while meditating!
Patrick Brown replied to Patrick Brown's topic in General Discussion
Please note the shock lasted three or more seconds and really was like a massive electric shock. It's only happened once so I'm not too worried about it. As I've said in the past I've had ton of mystical experiences. Yes I think the bumble bee that others have experienced is the beginnings of the DMT trip. As you get deeper into meditation you get closer to the sleep state and this can cause DMT to be released in the brain. I actually think DMT is released to awaken the brain from deep sleep although I'm no expert on this subject. No what I experienced was no sound, sensation or anything which is why I called it voidness. My drug experiences suggest that this is the state experienced before crossing to the bardos/lokas/astrals/dream-states. Of course I wasn't looking to enter the dream spheres but just to find peace. So to recap, with my limited knowledge, the buzz is the moving into peace (I'm on a constant buzz) and the peace is like the fulcrum between waking conciousness and dream conciousness. So perhaps it's true to say that voidness is a form of controlled sleep although difficult to master. Just for the record I don't think voidness is the end game but simply an aspect of self cultivation. -
I just came back from my brother's funeral services. This experience brings these questions right to the front. In my physical/energy practice I am building a container for spiritual awakening, for wholeness, for healing, for realizing the one. The extra energy, stillness, flexibility and strength are all side benefits. So I am not after special powers. I didn't have this stated goal when I began. I was just drawn to it, my practice being qigong, taiji, and providing an enviornment for the unfolding of conciousness. I am not necessarily thinking extremely clearly right now, but I wanted to share with this group my feelings right now about how precious life is. Even though I don't have the answers about ultimate meaning, one can easily see and sense that life here on this planet is a precious gift. The one sure thing is that if you are here, you will leave some day. We come into this world innocent and pure. We meet pain, learn to build a false self identity, and create a lot of suffering for ourselves, and others. It seems we have lost our way. Then the meaning (for myself anyway) becomes finding your way back in conciousness to the source, not that you can really be separated from it (so they say), so maybe better stated as droping the illusion or waking from the dream. Anyway, the feel of it is wholeness, becoming whole again, and healing the essential wound. I am keenly aware of this purpose right now, more than at normal times. I wanted to share this and open a discussion of how you find meaning, purpose and direction in your life and how your practice plays a role in it. Peace to all.

Long Distance KUNDALINI KAP Training through Skype
ryansmith replied to Vajrasattva's topic in General Discussion
So far I amazed at the results of this course so far. My entire body is opening up and i am becoming a happier, more loving, and more energized person. This week we are working on the heart chakra and its amazing how quickly I am feeling the warmth and loving feelings in my chest. Anyone debating whether or not to do it should really do it. I got my reiki attunement yesterday by Tao. I was kind of closed off during the session, (kinda cause I had to go #2 and my focus was elsewhere). After I did some KAP work and opened up my body seems to have accepted the energy. Ever since my body is ringing full of energy that Im trying to cycle through the chakras. Tao said Glenn popped in during the transmission. I find my interactions with others to be a lot easier, especially when working on the heart chakra. People can almost sense a genuineness and openness in the energy I am projecting. I also have a lot of people who I haven't talked to communicating with my via facebook, and I have had several dreams about people I know who later told me they were thinking about me at the time I was having the dream. It's getting more and more fun to play. -
I don't think the discussion should degrade into the good or bad of any minority. Thats the meat and bread of rascists who live for that kind of stuff, neatly putting each group in its place, with there own on top. To me the focus is on the event that caused it. A person who's friendly and willing to help til he finds out the other is a Kike, Chink, Nigger, Belgium, then says 'You know what, I can't help you' is very prejudice. They may not be bad, but they're fools, cutting themselves out of a huge body knowledge and the potential for friends. The person who goes beyond 'I can't help you' and into 'By the way you're a dirty Belgiumer, is in my mind much worse, a bad person. Willing to go the extra mile to insult someone needless. A person with a cancer of the soul. They're not just prejudice, they're nasty, they get kicks hurting others. Procurator is a troll, this thread is a wet dream for him because he's a negative person who craves negative attention. Michael

Yeah Meghna -- that was quite the shock. Basically Chunyi Lin had taught to be sure not to pull energy blockages out from the top of someone else's head. I didn't mean to do this but she was old and frail and even though she couldn't see what I was doing. My hand was maybe half a foot from her and as soon as I felt this heavy electromagnetic blog get pulled out of her head I knew what had happened and at the same time she started bawling -- instantly -- no tears -- just straight up bawling. We didn't exchange any words after that and the healing session time had ended so we parted ways. As I left with my friend who had been downstairs I said to him, "you're not going to believe what just happened." Then as we walked down the hall she walked towards us -- still bawling -- with someone else comforting her with their arm around her shoulder. I saw her later on -- maybe a few months later and we just smiled at each other. As for Lazar's work -- she did respond to me which was nice but said she's just working on "breath awareness" not tummo right now. Last night I was up almost all night -- probably till 4 or so -- sitting in full-lotus, working on tummo. I generated a lot of heat and light and heard strange high pitch sounds. When I finally went to sleep I had this intense dream where I heard little children voices calling to ask for my help because they were dead spirits. I got scared in my dream and then in my sleep -- which was just like being awake -- I called on Chunyi Lin to help the dead spirit children find rest. Then I woke up and immediately went back into full-lotus with the thought: GHOST POLLUTION. I'm pretty sure that was just a dream since when I did see dead spirits my energy was much much stronger (at the end of my 8 day fast and the dead spirits were gonig to hear Chunyi Lin at his chi-emitting retreat lecture). I had heard Coast to Coast on Monday night -- a show on ghosts and had emailed them about Chunyi Lin and ghosts, so that's why I had the dream. But then it's all a type of dream except pure consciousness. Mainly I was amazed at how well the "anal breathing" worked last night -- http://www.precisiondocs.com/~altaoism/HLSbiel11025.htm So then I realized that when we visualize heat and light in the lower tan tien that's using the sympathetic nervous system -- the cortex. But when we flex the tailbone up towards the anus -- that's the parasympathetic nervous system -- which activates the thalamus-cerebellum. So then I realized that this is the secret of tummo -- that the sympathetic and parasympathetic work like a battery and that this system is activated directly through what I call "flexing the pineal gland" AND through the "anal breathing." So I did both at the same time -- reversing the normal process. Instead of focusing my sympathetic nervous system on the lower tan tien -- I flexed my tailbone up to connect the parasympathetic directly to the sympathetic of the lower tan tien. Then I also flexed my pineal gland to connect the sympathetic of the cortex to the parasympathetic of the thalamus-cerebellum. The results were instanteous -- and I realized this is just the same as a car ignition system and the primary coil is the lower tan tien and the secondary coil is the upper tan tien while the actually car-road generator is what Gurdieff calls the "Big Accumulator" -- the heart-mind.

KAP Kundalini Awakening Process Dr. Glenn Morris
phore replied to Vajrasattva's topic in General Discussion
ok some more questions santiago i have started using the inner smile. My instructions come from glann morises books and meditation mastery cds. i have been using my own series of images to invoke positive feelings basically following morrises instructions. My questions are what abilities/benefits does this meditation develop. im inclined to guess manifestation, bliss and healing. are there any specific things i should know about this meditation. I believe santiago said that it was originally used by kings? Also do you use the same 6 healing sounds from mantak chia with the stretches. I have tried a technique that involves taking the inner smile energy and moving it up and down through my body sort of like a wave crashing over me, it has allowed me to enter a trance. would this be helpful for achieving astral projection? What, in your opinion, is the quickest most effective way to achieve astral projection. I have tried various techniques but havent ever been able to leave my body. Santiago you once said that you practiced real dream yoga. are there any books that describe the method you use for dream yoga. Have you had any experience with sleep yoga. My only source of information on the subjects of dream and sleep yoga is The tibetan yogas of dream and sleep is this a good book on the subject. Thank you
