  2. Unbelievable. Practiced at the Cinder Cone. balanced iNSIDE Out. Worked same position as two weeks earlier. Surprised at what I found still stting under the stairs... so so so... what does love taste like? smell like? I heard a voice ask me a question when I got home. Auditorial hallucination? I doubt it. I put the perle under my pillow wondering what I would dream about. To my surprise I was unable to fall asleep. Just lulled into a resignated resonation...

Call it what you want but the "cha-ching" is not my thing. The real payoff is the people you help by making this stuff available. As I have said, we could make a hell of a lot more money than we currently do, but it just isn't the motivation. Realizing that by reaching a certain percentage of the population of the planet and then having them practice Kunlun could actually change the planet, is much closer to our dream. Subversive vibrational shift of earth? Yeah, it's possible.
  5. NO WAY! You caused me to rent and watch a movie titled "Mongolian Ping-pong" -- I saw your entry RIGHT AFTER I finished watching it. The key word in the movie is "pearl," a glowing pearl, to be precise. That's the word I was going to post here. OK... Spectrum, I had a dream (a while ago, but one of those significant ones that you don't forget) about finding a huge, stunningly beautiful pearl in an old mysterious theater, and a set of theatrical make-up. What do you make of it?

My mother in her mid-80s had two surgeries for a life threatening condition; the first emergency to stop the condition and the second to repair temporary elements from the first. She had thought out her choices and intention long before and had prepared a living will. After recovering from the violent hallucinations induced by the morphine given her after the second surgery, she talked quietly with me and said that she could not continue this medical path, and invoked her living will with absolute, crystal clear intent. Soon she was transferred to a palliative care ward. It was cramped and noisy; restless and uncomfortable for her initially. That evening she manifested many symptoms and several nurses and her doctor attended. My brother and his partner and my wife and I were there. At some point she escalated into severe coughing, mucus, and cramping; sitting up rapidly and falling back repeatedly. My brother and I were on either side of her bed at this point and the nurses and doctor standing by, not having any particular diagnosis or treatment at that moment. My brother and I were each holding an opposite hand and elbow of our mother through this sitting up / falling back in an effort to cushion and stabilize her motion, while talking to her to comfort and elicit her reports of what was the problem /what was it she needed. Both of us began to feel a great sense of heat/energy/scintillations in our hands, going deeper and deeper and rising in power. With this she relaxed and remained resting for a few moments and the nurses took over again. Astounded at this phenomenon, and having that energy remain pulsating rapidly throughout our hands we went out to the corridor where our partners were watching all this and waiting. We asked them to put their hands out in front of them face up, and then hovered our hands just above theirs without quite touching. They could feel very palpable persistent energy/vibrations/warmth from our hands, after wondering why we asked them to do this. What was that? As she was able to relax after this episode, but not having died then as seemed to be where things were headed that evening, she then slipped any medication out the side of her mouth and never ate or drank again, but agreed to me, my brother or our partners swabbing her mouth with a moisturizing gel. Fortunately she was able to be transferred to a private palliative care suite and lived relaxed, in and out of conscious lucid dream states talking but not in clear words to those in the dreams, and to us simultaneously for several days before going into a sleep/brief-waking/sleep cycles and then into a coma, until after my brother returned from a long-planned trip with his son, of about ten days. The next day with both my brother and I in her room with her, and after days of no movement and coma, she stirred, lifted her head the little she could and worked her desiccated mouth as best she could, determined to articulate what we heard as: "Thank you...", with the attempt at a smile as far as her body could then do that, and left her body then and there. These energies exist. If you aren't open and/or if you intend not to sense them, you likely may not. That does not prove they do not exist. Because they do not fit our model of the electromagnetic spectrum, or tickle our sensing instruments does not mean they do not exist. Although I have sensed and worked with my energies for some time, her emanations that evening took me completely by surprise and were so powerful, at first I did not equate what was happening to anything like chi. The doctor and nurses showed no interest in discussing it. It is salutary that just as physics thought we were finally approaching the Grand Unified Theory of everything physical/energetic, we found that the Standard Model and related variants only explain about 4% of reality and 96% is labelled Dark Energy and Dark Matter, two categories about which we can currently only begin to speculate. this is a good time to be enfleshed here artform
  7. I've been experimenting with not ejaculating now for a couple of months. So far I have not been able to get past 21 days. At that time I usually get a wet dream. So this is what i want to avoid. I want to make it past a month to see how that feels. What I will do every day: - 30 minutes zazen meditation - 6 tibetan rites - couple of minutes Ham-Sa - eat healthy and no caffeine - no porn, no masturbation. If anyone has more recommendations on how to avoid wet dreams I'd like to hear.

However, Hawking radiation is a theory, it has never been observed, and phenomena it predicts have not been empirically verified. Unlike Einstein's relativity theory, which yields observable phenomena. And which predicts stable, growing black holes. There will be no immediate end of the world if these occur. The black holes might indeed be too small to notice. They will have grown bigger in four years, however. Or in four billion years. The thing is, no one knows. Safety to life on Earth is not a priority to any of our scientific projects. When the Challenger was headed for disaster, many scientists were saying so, saying it was not safe to launch it at the stage the project was, and they were called paranoid and overruled. Oh, and the Chernobyl reactor was supposed to be safe, and what happened was not part of the calculations. Events just have this annoying ability to ignore theoretical safety assumptions. It's not about whether the end of the world will be brought on by this specific bit of science. It's about all of it working in that general direction. In five days, five years, or fifty -- that's something no one knows. Y2K or particle accelerator or a weaponized virus or the nuclear tests or the nuclear war -- who knows. But there's too many happy little kids playing with too many big-ass matches all at once. Whoever guarantees they won't set anything on fire is living in a dream world, Neo.

  11. SHAKING by Bradford Keeney

I'm trying to hold back the tears. I'm in full-lotus listening to Rokia Traore, her 1997 c.d. not sure the name but it's VERY beautiful kora music from Mali. It's in French -- o.k. I found it: Mouneissa. Anyway last night I had my best all-night listening experience with this amazing new C.D. of Bushmen trance healing music I got -- http://www.amazon.com/Namibia-Juhoansi-Bus...s/dp/B000003IG5 This is a REALLY excellent trance music c.d. made by real trance healers. So I sit in full-lotus to it for a couple hours and think well maybe this will be good for my dreams. Instead I dream that I'm underground or something and the Bushmen healers are pulling me straight out of my R.E.M. state -- I wake up and it's the most intense song on the C.D. -- the actual trance healing where the man is shrieking and the pitch keeps getting higher... So the Bushmen c.d. which was on very low volume pulled me out of deep r.e.m. sleep -- the hardest to wake up from. It's powerful trance music. The first song on the C.D. is by the young males who, as the liner notes explain, are taking a break from the isolated first training to become healers. It's just like the Taoist training -- away from the females, the males learn how to overcome fear, pain, hunger, tiredness, thirst. The singing on the c.d. is mainly from the very beautiful female singers -- doing antiphonal background to inspire the man for the trance dance healing. I read one review of Bradford Keeney's work that it must not be as real as the Bushmen healers that he promotes. Well the process is the same so that's what counts.

Thank you so much for this gift Taomeow. I met Max and Chris yesterday at a pre seminar talk. For a long time I have been vascillating between the two poles of should I , why should I. I was already on my way to Phoenix to participate when you started posting about your experiences and so I have been eagerly anticipating more from you before my own "experiment" will begin tomorrow. I had been undecided for several months but had missed the last cycle of classes. This time when new class schedule was posted for august/september I was still vascillating and the locations which made the most sense didn't make sense with my personal, business and family schedule. Then a night or two before leaving for a 10 day vacation in Northern california woodlands about three weeks ago I had a very significant dream. Unmistakably some form of connection or communication to/from or about Max which made it very clear to me that I would go. So here I sit in Phoenix waiting for tomorrow and what will come. I promise to report back. I also promise my prose will not reach Taomeows poetic heights. Meanwhile I will be awaiting the next installment more than eagerly. Craig

Cat, James, Seth, Durkhrod, Steve, i had to say all your names, coz the sincerity of these responses is very nice, so genuine - great to read truly, thanks for sharing. ........ for me, it's (this is woefully inadequate, but I'll try).......... Medicine Buddha Bhaisajya Guru Vaidurya Prabha. Amazing vows, deep wish and willingness to assist any sentient being in distress and to guide them on the path of Bodhi. The first time i heard the Dharani of Medince Master Buddha, though i had no understanding of the words, nor was i expecting anything for that matter, but words cannot describe the wonder that flooded through. Namo Bhaisajya Guru Vaidurya Prabha Guan Shi Yin Pusa (Avalokitesvara) Vows of such unlimited compassion for all beings (eg. not to rest untill all have entered Nirvana) First time i heard of this vow i cried and cried. Guan Yin's mantras are amazinglly powerful, (great compassion dharani, 6 syllable mantra) full of a gentle but profound power that speaks to the inherent heart or 'knowing'. The messages, or 'reminders' that come from Guan Yin are truly wonderful. This is very difficult to put in words. I humbly put my heart at the feet of Guan Yin. Guan Yin tells us that kindness is great indeed. Amitabha Buddha The 48 vows & to have created a land for cultivation, free of distractions & distress. And that for anyone who sincerly recites his name may be reborn there is simply wonderful to me, the epitome of kindness. Shakyamuni Buddha To have taught according to the capacity & understanding of every person is amazing inspiring......the fundamental teacher. Namo namo, namo. Earth store Bodihsattva Vows of sublime compassion that never cease to amaze me. For example: http://www.avatamsakavihara.org/earthStoreAssemblyEN.php Master Hsuan Hua met him in a dream which was very nice and very profound. his commentaries on the sutras and selfless service to help us understand are inspiring. I could never give this man enough thanks. Master Xianglintao Qigong master...........amazing person - teacher, healer, sifu etc etc. I don't talk about personal experience on a forum, so i won't say exactly what he's done for me,.........but Master Tao has done SO much, in so many ways. Master Feng. Qigong and Feng Shui Master. Has a very powerful teaching. His advice, assistance & teachings are invaluable to me. Hope this was'nt too long. There is much more that could be said in terms of experiences from & with these masters, but that's not as important as the underlying message that they deliver. That is to wash clean all the distortions from our minds and return to purity and to have kindness & compassion for all beings. And, i don't know why, but i don't like to refer to the term transmission, but it certainly applies in many of the above teachers/masters & gurus i am humbly thankful, and honest about this with gratitude to all of the above mentioned Thanks & bows.

  16. Hi, I just received the book ordered through lulu. The first time I saw the web site I was very skeptical. Normally it is rare for someone to master one practices but in Max's case mastership of several arts and practices is claimed, Chinese QiGong/NeiGong, Tibetan practices, American Indian, Egyptian, Wow. The video showing Max to lead people into ecstacy or moving them raised a red flag as well. It reminded me of Frank Dux, albeit more sophisticated. Not to talk about the faked death and that people who have studied with him before apparently say that he looks very different now. Or how Kan dismaterialized spontaneously at a Starbucks in Japan or how the DNA is changed. But then I read Tao Bum's experiences and how they were also skeptical at first but then convinced of the practice and Max. Also somehow I get a good and honest vibe from Max and Chris. So, I decided to order the book. I know that it is not so easy for me to open up so I'm not sure that I will soon see any results, but I'll give a try. I have a few questions that some can perhaps answer: 1. The first level seems to be seated on a chair. Is it possible to do the practice somehow differently? I sit on a chair the whole day at work. Also I've been trying to meditate and would like to continue sitting on the floor, which is good for opening the hips, too, and typical in Asia anyway vs. the Western chair. Perhaps standing is possible. 2. What's the deal with the fur? Why can't you just place the chair on the ground (or if sitting/standing is possible sit/stand on the ground or floor)? 3. I'm pretty sure that I won't be able to do the practice every day for the 1 hour plus 20 minutes coming down. Is it ok to practice let's say four times a week? Is it ok to practice say 40 minutes with 10 minutes coming down? 4. About the 100 day retention- What if you have a wet dream? All in vain? 5. I'd like to continue my dynamic Hatha yoga practice, however been a bit scared by Max's warning in the book not to do other energetic practices as this might lead to energetic sickness. Is hatha yoga (not talking about Yogi Bhajan's kundalini yoga) practice compatible with Kunlun? By the way the book is quite nice. It's quite short and a small format. I like the design and the way it is written (at least the about thirty pages I've read so far.).

fascinating. both videos. i totally believe the guy in the second video, though i think he may be wrong about the engine being alive. symbiotically responsive doesn't necessarily mean it's alive. that's a big jump. perhaps what struck me the most about the video that minkus posted was the part about stephen hawking telling him "we dream on the same wavelength. all my stuff comes to me in dreams. therefore, we are brothers."
  20. What is the goal of Taoism?

A little more detail: Draw in through the eyes - liver/hun; Close off the ears and listen inward- Kidneys/zhi; Breathe in through the nose, inhale longer than exhale- Lungs/Po; Close the mouth gather and swallow the saliva - Spleen/ Yi; Touch the tip of the tongue (tip of the heart) to the soft palate, roof of mouth to close the opening to the Heart/shen. In the Lungs/Po, Po is the physical soul that comes from the earth, it is the physical movement of 'jing' in the body which is connected to the 'wei qi' that travels under the skin and controls the opening and closing of the pores. So there is also a closing off of the pores and drawing the 'jing' back to the dantian or mingmen area between the kidneys. Qigong or Daoyin is a little different than meditating where you are sending the jing and weiqi to the extremities. The heart/shen stores long term memory. The kidneys remember the short term memories. The Spleen/ yi is the intellect that stores the memories of your interests or studies. The lungs/po are the body's instincts or natural ability to survive- it controls the weiqi which protects the body without having to be thought about by the mind(shen). (In chinese martial arts a great deal of strategy is put into tricking an opponents 'po' and striking where their weiqi hasn't gotten to.) The liver/hun is the creative, dreaming mind. It comes from the heavens and doesn't come into the body until 3 days after birth. (While the 'po' is thought to arrive around the 3rd trimester and the 'shen' doesn't truly manifest until around the age of one's earliest memories as it is the 'po' instinctual soul that is keeping you alive and controlling all your actions.) The 'hun' is active when you dream, it can leave the body and is responsible for the out of body experiences. Alcohol disturbs the liver and brings the 'hun' out when you're awake which is responsible for the inebriated state of mind and why when you're sober the thoughts you had while drunk typically contradict your reality. The 'hun' needs to be kept in check by the mind (shen) but the closer you can make the reality of your life to live in accordance to the hun's desires the happier and healthier you will be. The Po and Hun can get a little more complicated- there are actually 3 huns that correlate to 3 passes in the body and there are 7 po's that correlate with the 7 chakras. The spleen is another problem or block in meditation that is easily affected by one's diet. The spleen is related to the mouth and saliva and using the digestive enzymes to break apart food. The pancreas and small intestine are connected to the spleen which is figuring out what the food is, then breaking it apart, then the small intestine decides what to absorb and excrete. The spleen/zhi also does the same with problems or situations. It is like your sub-conscious or gut feelings. When it isn't functioning properly you have worrisome or obsessive thoughts that go around in circles.
  21. Everyone is familiar with the first three spatial dimensions, length width and height. The next three are temporal, and can be described as: duration(lifespan), possibility(possible life paths), and infinity. Each higher dimension is an infinite expansion of the previous dimension. Dimension 0 is a point, a point is coordinate which lacks any definite size or shape. Dimension 1: if you use one point to denote a beginning, and another an end, then connect these two you have created a line. A line is a one dimensional object, and it is also contains an infinite number of points, as it can be seen as an infinite expansion of a point. Dimension 2: if you take parallel lines and connect them you have a plane or square. It could be said that this square contains an infinite number of lines, as it can be seen as an infinite expansion of a line. Dimension 3: if you take parallel planes and connect them you have made a cube. This cube contains an infinite number of planes, as it can be seen as an infinite expansion of a square or plane. Dimension 4: it helps if you visualize this like a solid 3D object forming a line. The forth dimension is the duration (or lifespan) of a third dimensional object. From birth to death, creation to destruction, it is like a line as in dimension 1. If you could view yourself as a 4D object, your birth on end, and death on another you would look like a long worm. Imagine you ten minutes ago, you now, and you ten minutes in the future. When viewed from a 4D perspective it would completely and totally SOLID. The only thing which moves through this solid object is your consciousness. From this perspective it is almost like it is pre-recorded, much like a record or a dvd. It is the needle or laser which moves along the disc, which creates the music and movies we perceive. It is your consciousness which acts precisely like a needle or laser, creating the reality you see around you. If you remember how a line contains an infinite number of points, you will realize how the 4th dimension contains an infinite number of 3D slices we call "the present" Dimension 5: The fifth dimension is possibility, or possible life paths one can take. (imagine an infinite number of 4D lines forming a 5D square) The most popular (and accepted) interpretation of quantum mechanics is the MWI (Many Worlds Interpretation). For each possibility there is a world in which it is an actuality. This has also been called the "multi-verse". Lets say this morning you decide to have juice instead of tea, there is also a world with a "you" just as real and living having tea instead of juice. There are an infinite number of possible choices and outcomes in ones life, based upon your choices, thoughts, actions etc. Each of these infinite possible paths represent one singular 4D line. The plane or square in this case represents all the possible timelines and possibilities for one 3D object. The 5th Dimension contains all possibilities which exist from the creation of a said object, until its destruction or death. Dimension 6: The sixth dimension is infinity. Everything that is, was or ever could be. The 5th dimension dealt with the possibilities of one observer, it could then be said that the 6th dimension deals with the possibilities for all possible observers, in all possible universes, at all possible moments in time, all at once, as one singular coherent solid object. We started out with a point, a coordinate which lacked any definite size or shape, and yet we have returned to that. Infinity, a solid, and still object, which contains every possible past, present, and future, for every possible observer, in all possible universes. There is nothing else to measure it by or compare it to, so it becomes a point, of indeterminate size or shape. What then could be said of us? What exactly are we? The best answer I have found is that we are waves of consciousness which exist as a point flowing through this infinity, for what purpose I am unsure. I do know that the belief you have a body, a life, and ego, identity etc. are false. We are something more than that. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. -Bill Hicks "My uncreated and unending profound Enlightenment ensures my perfect insight into the realm of Ultimate Truth, where the one is infinite and the infinite is one." -Buddha "He who experiences the unity of life sees his own Self in all beings, and all beings in his own Self, and looks on everything with an impartial eye." -Buddha
  22. What is the goal of Taoism?

In Daoist meditation you want to cultivate the 5 shens/spirits and then unify them into the one central shen. The five shens reside in the 5 organs and each has an opening to the outside that needs to be closed and turned inward to meditate - hun/liver - eyes - draw back in through the eyes and don't look outside, zhi/kidney - ears- close off and don't listen etc. Then when you're closed off to the outside it is very easy for the dream-like and imaginitive 'hun' spirit to become active and distracting so you need to quiet and calm the 'hun' which possibly has been poorly translated as the 'ego mind'. You don't want to attempt to quiet the 'shen' consciousness mind (you), only the 'hun', so you have to understand the difference between the 2. The state of wuwei is achieved when the 5 shens have been cultivated and unified into the central shen/spirit that resides in the heart. All decisions are instantaneous and correct without doubt or inner debate. All physical actions are agile and done with minimal required energy and follow the most appropriate path in that instance. Thought without thought. Doing without doing. Typically we have an inner dialogue that slows down thought -heart communicating with spleen, or not acting quickly or lack of motivation - heart miscommunicating with kidney, or imagining into the future or the past -heart being taken over by the liver/hun.
  23. So, who's "Psychic", ...and how?

Hello Findley, I am a medium I was born with this so I'm not sure how to develope it , but I believe that one or more of my chakras must be fully developed. To achieve this you have to meditate on them. When someone is thinking of me I 'hear' what they are thinking and also know who it is. That's telepathy. I also have vision's in the form of dream's ,while asleep, these can be either symbolic in which case I have to try and work out what it mean's or I see it exactly as it is going to happen, a future event that is. I also can contact spirit's / ghost's , and if I channel one my face will change to that of the person comming through. I can also heal animal's and people including myself by holding my hand over the injured area or by directly sending energy to that area,or send the energy to the person to heal them. I can also send energy out to hurt or kill someone. If I was to do that the person would have no physical sign of injury and for all intent's and purposes collapsed and died for no apparent reason. I would of course have to be pretty angry at someone to do that as it just creates bad karma for this life and the next. sabretooth.

If by Rudyard Kipling IF you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or being hated, don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise: If you can dream - and not make dreams your master; If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools: If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, ' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch, if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son! I watched Randy Pausch's last lecture on Youtube around the time of his death, in July of this year, just under a month ago. I didn't realise at the time that he had died, and just in fact found it out this evening by chance. It is a marvellous lecture and so poignant. Here was a man dying who had every reason to live, not least a young family. He puts things across so more eloquently than I can. His obituary in 'Time' magazine is here: http://www.time.com/time/arts/article/0,8599,1826574,00.html A website with a link to the lecture is here: http://www.thelastlecture.com/
