1. The Mystique of Transmission

I once dreamed that I was in a car with Thelerner, he was driving. It was some kind of white car, I don`t remember the dream well anymore. We were talking about something, when Thelerner drove on middle of the road a bit and all of a sudden a truck came also on the middle. Then Thelerner drove completely on the other side, and the truck did the same. We narrowly missed an accident.
2. Does Thinking Stop?

I can detect the chattering. It is like scenes being played out in my imagination, following thoughts. Like waves after a "plop" of a stone in water. When it is to much chatter it seems to drain energy. But I try to regard it as something positive. I see the thoughts as "dream-like" and creative potential. (for instance; When you make a sculpture, and you choose to keep, you also choose to disregard and throw away matter.) This is what happens around the thinking process. Of course on a bad day I can clearly see the resemblance to schizofrenia.. . For me being in deep meditation beyond concepts, in the quietness, relaxes and refreshes the nerves. And to be able to recall this state gives comfort when "I am being helplessly beaten by the waves of samsara". Unfortunately now I am able to detect the difference between being reactive and being in balance... and as a consequence the sadness and joy, and the need to forgive, accept and let go is growing stronger. The state beyond concepts works for me a bit similar to chi/prana, like a subtler form of nutrition.

There is no real special formula for selecting a pendulum. They put things in books to give readers a guideline to start from. Once you become proficient, however, you find that you no longer follow any guideline of that nature. I find that it is best to chose something based on the energy you feel witing yourself when you are looking at an object you may want to use as a pendulum. I went to Michael's Art Supply store, puchase some jewelry making materials and glue, and now, whenever I need to make a pendulum it only costs me pannies. Some of my pendulums are stones that attract my attention when their colors resonate with me. I look at them for a while and register what I feel. If I walk away from it and it is still on my find, calling me back to it, I buy it and use it. As for the bee in the mouth dream that had to be brought out. This was indication that you needed to express something emotionally at the time and needed to get it out, but eventually managed to get it out--that was a good end--meaning you did manage to find an expression for what you wanted to say. The Toddler was you, meaning that it was time to open up and release a past pattern that wasn't working for you anymore as a man. At one time in my life, my early twenties, I was an emotionally inhibited individual due to my upbringing and very strict father. I had a dream that a parakeet was in my mouth and I couldn't get it out--see the message in that. What does a parakeet do? Where is it stuck? You mentioned interest in a Shamanism book elsewhere. One of the important areas of focus to a Shama is "dream life" and "dreaming." Learn what you can about dream interpretation because it goes hand-in-hand with all things spiritual. It is your most intensive and personal library of stored information and knowledge, but also a relay station for spirit communication. here, what comes to you from other energis is where that infomation is also stored for your future understanding. 4. Hello

Its too bad you weren't willing to defend it (astral dynamics). This is a discussion site. I agree people came on a too harshly, but its up to knowledgeable people to explain it. Instead of joining the discussion you went straight to ridicule. Bad form. I'm very interested in dream and OBE work. If you're at all knowledgeable and want to do something other then flame the site, open a New Topic, and give us the dope on the latest accomplishments coming out of Bruce's work. Otherwise, flame off and go away. I expect that his style of dream work is the most likely source to take psi study of OBE's from the wacko fringe placement into the modern paradigm. Michael

PART TWO:- Speaking of professional dowsers, I recently ordered Paul Smith's DVD Dowsing Course. It has'nt arrived yet, and certainly was'nt cheap, by any stretch of the imagination, so I sure hope it does'nt disappoint. If it's merely a problem of being just too advanced for me, that's ok, as I know that's only a temporary situation! The Silva Method sounds very interesting, and I've heard good things about it from someone else, too, so I'll check into it. I will definitely create my own practical training exercises, but the ones you describe above don't sound too shabby at all, to be honest; so I might try them as well. They are very creative, and I like that! Just out of curiosity, do you remember what kind of pendulum you used in those experiments? As I say, Ayudar, I don't have too many dreams, at least that I remember, but in late November 2006, I had another peculiar dream, very short in length, but clear as day, of a little toddler, maybe 2 or 3 years of age, with a wide-open mouth. And with its mouth fixed in a wide-open position, for whatever reason, I watched an abnormally large Bumble-Bee fly inside the mouth and refuse to fly back out; thus, I was forced to stick my fingers inside the toddler's mouth to retrieve the bug by hand. Strange, huh! Well, it baffled me for awhile, and still does to some extent, but about a month later, the thought came to me that the toddler symbolized my own inner child, and that my fingers inside the mouth were my own efforts to remove the internal bugs from my own internal system or hard-drive, before I'm stung to death by them. Is my interpretation close, do you think? Becoming "the primary tool" kind of sounds a little like what Spectrum was saying on pg 1 of this thread, about his whole body being a dowsing rod. It makes good sense, actually! I'll keep that in mind. By "tapping into life's energy vibrations in all areas," I take it you mean all areas of life, whether in spirit, soul, or body. While that is my intent, for sure, I confess that my first and initial attraction to it was its practical application in physical healing; but I quickly realized its true potential was really wholistic in nature, as you point out. Master Dowser Raymon Grace, for example, uses the art to expell unwanted entities, which he denotes as "low class spooks", something like the entity you have described in one of your patient cases, though I must admit that your description really made that entity appear more "inhuman" and far more sinister, indeed! I have a couple dowsing charts, but I'm not yet sure if they're the ones most "commonly used". Is there any particular place online (that you might know of) which carries a good selection of charts? I like the idea about the anatomy chart(s). I had'nt thought about that. The idea about having different pendulums for different applications also makes good sense, I feel. Regarding how to select the right pendulum, though, one of the links you provided below gives the following advice on that:- "To find a pendulum you resonate with, pick one up with your dominate hand (the one you write with) place it over your non-dominate hand and wait for some movement. The movement can be back and forth or circular. When first starting to use a pendulum the movement may be very small or slow. As you practice and work with it the movement will increase." By the way it sounds, it seems as if it is unwise to purchase a pendulum without first trying out the above resonance exercise with it. Does that sound "kosher" to you, so-to-speak? If yes, then that would seem to rule out Internet purchases; and I was just beginning to warm-up to the Isis model but am now reluctant to put out good money for anything that I cannot run the above resonance experiment on first. Is there a book out there, you think, of pendulum designs, for the do-it-yourself dowser who'd like to experiment with making his own pendulums, etc? I would expect, though, to learn about this from the Association you've recommended. Those are some great book recommendations, Ayudar! Thanks for the tips. I have a recorded interview of Lynn McTaggart in which she discusses both her book on The Field and her newest book on The Science of Intention. I've owned a couple of Targ's books in the past, but not his Limitless Mind. I have never owned anything by Emoto, but have heard great things about him, so I'm certain I'll eventually acquire all 3 of your recommendations. Many kind thanks for them! That's some seriously impressive resume, honestly! Wish it was my own! Maybe someday. Btw, just out of curiosity, have you heard anything about the "new" cutting edge Program called Matrix Energetics? It is a system largely based upon the principles of quantum physics. Dr. Fred Alan Wolf exerted a great influence upon Dr. Bartlett, the founder of ME. Incidentally, Dr. Bartlett agrees fully with your assessment of "orthodox methods" of healing; and describes himself as most "unorthodox" in his approach to the healing art(s). Sorry to disappoint, but actually I have not yet read the Medical I Ching, but have had my eye on it for some time now; along with 18 Buddha Hands Qigong - A Medical I Ching Exploration, and The Yijing Medical Qigong System, each of which I plan to acquire. I was just hoping to "luck-out" as they say, and get some insight on the book from a properly trained Naturopath, with training in multiple other disciplines as well. All of the above links were very helpful. Many thanks for posting them, and for all your recommendations! In regard to formatting links, it took me a little while to figure it out, but here are some examples for you, just in case the thought has ever crossed your own mind:- Example 1: text? Example 2: [i ]text? [/i ] Example 3: [b ] text? [/b ] Example 4: [b ] [i ] text? [/i ] [/b ] One thing, though, be sure to remove all the gaps, except in the text message spot where you see the 'text?', or it won't work right. I had to leave gaps there for you to see what was happening. In closing, though, I'd like to add two more links to the above list, which strike me as beneficial for the beginning dowser:- 01 - A Letter to Robin: A Mini-Course in Pendulum Dowsing 02 - A Well, Ayudar, once again I'm sorry it took me so long to get around to posting a more complete reply to your excellent post. Thanks again for your kind consideration in taking the time to reply at length to my queries. In the spirit of the Tao, Yen Hui
6. Dowsing

Hi there Ayudar ~ Many apologies for the long delay in replying to your very helpful post. While I have only recently discovered the art of dowsing, I ultimately took up I Ching divination for the same reason, more-or-less, why you took up dowsing; that is, because I acquired some degree of understanding concerning the mysterious operations of the subconscious mind; in part through my early study of Book 2 of Wilhelm's I Ching, his Lectures on the I Ching, and to some extent Carl Jung's writings. The ancient writings of both Taoist and Confucian sages also deeply moved me toward the art of I Ching divination, but in the end, I would say the greatest influence was from Book Two itself, of Wilhelm's I Ching. For the sake of the newcomers, though, who have not yet taken up the study of that particular text, and for the sake of zeroing in a little closer on some of the quotes in Post #32, I have selected a number of the more important or relevant ones to re-post here below:- Not to needlessly belabour the apparently obvious, but perhaps it might help some of the newcomers (reading along) if I make a few observations on the above, beginning with Quote #7, which is critical to mastering the art of I Ching divination. At the close of Part Two of The Treatise, we are told very clearly, in no uncertain terms, that only the right person will receive intelligible replies from the Oracle. Thus, it is incumbent upon all those who sincerely wish to master the art of I Ching divination to understand what it means to become "the right person". Now, according to the above, Quote #7, the Oracle is a divine tool to assist us in completely realizing our innate capacities. So, first-off, this must be the attitude in which we approach the Oracle. If it is'nt, then we disqualify ourselves from receiving what is termed, in the I Ching itself, as "an intelligible answer", as in the following:- The Great Treatise: Part 2 - Chapter 8:- 4. First take up the words, Ponder their meaning, Then the fixed rules reveal themselves. But if you are not the right man, The meaning will not manifest itself to you. "In half rhythmic and half rhymed prose, we are here admonished to study the Book of Changes diligently. It is pointed out with praise that continuous change is the rule of the book. In conclusion, attention is called to the fact that an innate capacity is essential to an understanding of the book, otherwise it will remain locked as if with seven seals. If the person consulting the oracle is not in contact with tao, he does not receive an intelligible answer, since it would be of no avail." Secondly, a state of emotional clarity is required, achieved through effecting a state of central harmony, or a correctly centered intellect and will, through the practice of deep concentration and meditation, as intimated in Quote #6, above. This is the way of making contact with the Tao, that is to say, spiritually tuning into It, with our intuitive mind. In Quote #5, it says that supreme concentration causes a mysterious force to emanate outwardly, from within our deepest centre, which stimulates the yarrow stalks, coins, or pendulum, causing them to manifest our innate wisdom mind. But without emotional clarity, we cannot unlock the revealed mysteries. Quote #1 informs us that the divining tools obey or operate according to the laws prescribed by the mind of man, outwardly manifesting the categories (or universal archetypes of the unconscious) which have been activated within its deepest centre, or universal core. Assuming we have effected central harmony, and are in contact with Tao, the Universal Way, then the Oracle speaks. According to Quote #2, the Oracle reaches down into the ultimate source of our inner world and experience, that is, into the unconscious realm. Quote #3 and #4 confirm this; intimating that the Oracle is a means of uniting the conscious and supraconscious aspects of the mind. This relationship is symbolized in the structure of the hexagram itself, in which the inner world is symbolized by the lower trigram, and the outer world by the upper trigram. According to Quote #3, the reply we receive from the Oracle - if we fulfill the necessary conditions - is a kind of divine echo emanating from the unconscious realm. According to Quote #4, fate, or the world of conscious experience, as it is, is ultimately shaped by the power of the unconscious mind. As I say, Ayudar, I share this for the sake of the "newcomers", as it is obvious that you, personally, are in no need of such pointers. But what you have shared has stimulated you me to share the above with the others. I hope you don't mind. Now, while the art of dowsing is clearly unique, in its own particular way(s), as you have kindly and eloquently pointed out for us, it is clear that the role played out by the subconscious in both arts, is more-or-less identical, and entirely central to their ultimate effectiveness. Please forgive my slight deviation here, but since you have intimated your training in dream interpretation, I would like to share with you a recent dream of mine, which I had just a few nights ago. I don't normally recall my dreams, but the other night I seemed to have a fairly lucid (though very short) dream just before I awoke for work. I was present at some sort of indoor meet or gathering, and I was observing a series of secret hand- shakes and arm movements being exchanged between two society members. They then asked me some questions, and it seems they were probing my interest in joining their society. I replied that I did not know enough about them yet to make a truly informed decision, and that I'd like to research a little more. When I asked about the name of their founder and their historical origins, it seemed as though the room suddenly grew silent. Then, with apparent reluctance, (it seemed,) they gave some a name and a few details to check into. The last word they spoke, that I recall hearing before awakening, was the word "Bogomils". I had no conscious recollection of either what that meant or where it would lead. I immediately went to my computer and did a quick Web search. Lo and behold, I discovered it belonged to a medieval French society known as the Cathars, which was heavily persecuted by the Catholic Church and forced underground. I have'nt had the time to engage in any detailed research, but it seems as though they were persecuted for their belief in some form of cosmic dualism. The whole dream strikes me as very odd, since I 've not seen, read, or listened to anything recently, that I have any conscious recall of, related to the "Bogomils". And yet that term was fixed in my mind, as clear as day, upon awakening from that dream. Very, very odd, I must say! I have owned several different versions of the I Ching, most of which I developed deep respect for, but Wilhelm's managed to remain my favorite, despite its few obvious flaws. I am eager to hear the details about your "method of developing a hexagram for evaluating omens," but perhaps it's a good idea to reserve that discussion for a thread dedicated entirely to I Ching studies and applications. Sure glad to hear, though, you kept good notes on it! TO BE CONTINUED IN THE NEXT POST, DUE TO FORMATTING DIFFUCULTIES ...
7. You never had a choice.

Adyashanti works with people in prison. One of the things he said about visiting with the 'lifers'(people in there forever..you can guess the kind of stuff they did to get there) is 2 profound things(for me anyway). 1. He says when talking with many of the ones that are interested in awakening when they go back to when they did whatever they did most often an unconsciousness arises over them. Especially the ones who are seriously into awakening when they visit the time when they did it it's almost like it wasn't them and it was like a bad dream that occurred. All of the identification and attachment that causes suffering is based on this notion of a seperate 'me'. As soon as the seperate 'me' is seen through the trance of ego is lifted and the 'real you' may emerge(so I here). Adya says from the persective of awakening if you chop someones head off you realize your head is rolling on the floor. 2. He also noticed for the 'lifers' that it wasn't until they really accepted that they were going to be in prison until they died with really no hope of getting out that they could come to peace. The ones that were lifers and still struggling with the thought of getting out someday had the most suffering. Obviously, this is not a situation any of us would ever wish to be in. But from where they were at only after accepting 'what is'..that they were lifers..that they could be at peace and possibly be on the path to awakening.
8. You never had a choice.

It's not incompatible at all. They work great together. My understanding of Adya's take on LOA is it's totally appropriate to engage in like the "Secret" talks about. The only real difference would be with awakening he says it's all seen as the dream state. Of course you may still want to have fun in the dream state(why not!) The real transfomation as I understand it-Ime not there yet-is with awakening it's no longer about "me, me, me" and "I want, I want, I want" because the "me" and the "I" are no longer center stage. Life moves you. But as Adya says when your still in the dream state LOA might be necissary and helpful stuff. In addition, the 10 commandments, Buddhist precepts, laws etc are all ways to make people in the dream state act correctly. It's all dream land/ego land stuff. Which is totally approporiate and helpful for all of us living in the dream state.
9. Holisticism and Fate

Yes - this was actually my first thought - the glaring assumption of time... If you start looking at experience at a depth that allows the possibility of premonition, then you are not looking at 'ordinary' experience... just as scientists have to change their complete model of the universe to study very small things - and then when studying on the newtonian level they shift to our 'ordinary' model of the universe. this 'predeterminant scripting' can only exist if you think whatever 'higher power' actually operates on the ordinary plane of things - for example in time and in space - and therefore in a dual (yin - yang) state... this predetermination function requires "time" to exist. You know how your dreams sometimes are premonitions for real events? - Have you ever had dreams that weren't premonitions for real events? I'm sure you had - not all your dreams are premonitions, right? So if you look from the point of view that this 'higher power' operates (as would be expected) with different rules and perhaps without a dual nature (time and space cant exist in a non-dual state) - then you could start to understand some of these things without resorting to 'scripting and predetermination' or 'complete mechanistic freedom'... you could think of this higher level as a soup of potentiality, out of which arises the basic polarity (space and time) which creates the play ground - and perhaps you can notice how in nature the interaction between this polarised energy (yin and yang) flows in five distinct rhythms or phases or patterns... At least that's the Taoist model... So when you go to sleep, you're in effect accessing this database of non-dual potentiality, and through your consciousness and physicality you create a 'dream' - which, when awake, you sometimes witness 'happening' and sometimes you dont... And in fact imo you waking moments are not so different - you and the universe is birthed constantly out of this non dual state, and you're experiencing the physical dualness of this (and when asleep you experience much more the non-dualness)... Language is a little clumsy when talking about this - just as newtonian mathematics is clumsy when explaining quantum - level theories...
10. You never had a choice.

About twenty years ago at the San Fransisco Renaissance Fair; a buddy and I walked around waving our arms erraticaly calling out... "WE NEED ARMS CONTROL ! HELP SUPPORT ARMS CONTROL...! That silly and fun sort of whackiness had to be done by force of choice. Can spontanious humor ever be done without choice? Silly, fun and whimsical behaviors seem to me to be acutely dictated by choice. That is what makes the god-head in us happy and allows us to live through the grusome realities that we may stumble into or have foisted upon us....with at least a semblance of free will... There certainly seems to be an element of fate in my life. Without the will to go on and meet it, there would be litle to recommend life to me, if/when things get pretty aweful. The challanges that we greet with a grin may be taken a bit more lightly, so I believe that we do have the choice as to how we act & react to the events of our lives. But who knows - What if it is all just a pre-programed sort of dream state we are in that allows us to manifest our wills in efforts to create loving kindness or any other sort of behaviors like some sort of test for the after life...There does seem to be an element like that in many of these entries... 11. You never had a choice.

Lozen you make many good points here. It seems to me all good art just flows through the "creator"- be it music poetry, prose, painting sculpting...Most artists worth the name let it flow through them and then only adapt their skills to the needs of the work. Michaelangelo-said the figures were just in the stone and he only released them. The hard part of being an artists is the actual doing allowing one's self to be exhausted by the process and then get up and do it again until the work is done -it takes amazing amounts of will-power to keep going, open yrself up to the process and then allow yr skills to make the visions you receive come to life. I agree on the dream thing and there are many techniques that can be learned to stay aware and have some control in yr dreaming.
12. You never had a choice.

I am just using words of course, so they are limited and ultimately silly. But let this view sink in for a minute if you care. Not as a new philosophical position or spiritual argument. Just for fun maybe. When you look into it, the idea that there is free will is contextual. Contextual doesn't mean wrong, it just means not absolute. That something is used as an excuse to avoid responsibility is not a logical argument against it. Almost anything that works as a way to avoid responsibility is used, including the truth. The fact is, there are processes occurring in your brain that collectively create the conviction of a consolidated, executive sense of self, typically behind your eyes, making creative decisions and enjoying or suffering their outcomes. This phenomenon of self-creation is part of evolution and does have relative value. But these processes are themselves without independent nature. In other words, they dependently arise. This is called pratityasamutpada in Buddhism, arguably the only distinct doctrine to come out of Buddhism that did not have precedent in earlier religions. This view considers the western mechanical model "A (me) is the cause of B (my actions)" as naive which is precisely what earned Buddhism the critique by early western thinkers as a fatalistic philosophy. The other side of the same coin is the doctrine of sunyata, or emptiness, and is what led Buddhism to be characterized as nihilstic. I mention this out of irony for you SeanD, as our resident Buddhist scholar consistently advocating we immerse ourselves in Eastern thinking, yet you mischaracterize my view as both fatalistic and nihilistic based on a commonly shallow and early western misunderstanding of Buddhist doctrine. Choice is an abstraction that is convenient and necessary and good and beautiful in context, as is a sense of self. Without these we would not be human. Yet truly, choices happen without a chooser. There is no thinker of your thoughts. There is no one who one day wakes up from this dream. One is already awake. An incredible story is being told by no one, to no one. Or by God to God. However you want to look at it. There is no mistake here. There is nothing wrong with illusion. All great art is a lie. Nature herself is the biggest liar (thanks Taomeow). Mastering this spectrum does get you laid more often (thank Yoda) and may result in superpowers if you want them (thanks SeanD). This great illusion of choice is part of an awesome creative game being played by God, our deepest Self, for no comprehensible reason. In other words, for Love. Sean
13. Dowsing

Hello Yen Hui, I began pendulum dowsing on my own because I undestood the principles of how the mind, subconscious, and intuitive faculties operate; all of which I derived from thousands of hours of combined study and research in psychology, metaphysics, Graphology analysis, Dream Interpretation, I-Ching analysis, research and experiments, and many many other areas of study and work. By the way, my favorite I-Ching Manual is also the work of Richard Wilhelm--I-Ching Book of Changes. back in the 1970's, I also learned a method of developing a hexagram for eveluating omens. I lost that book but fortunately kept notes on the method. Focusing on pendilum dowsing studies. I read every book I could find, especially the old ones. The British have a long history in this practice and their books are very meticulous with details, especially on Radiathesia and Water Dowsing. I subscribed to The American Dowsing Association in the early 1990's solely to receive their bimonthly magazine and pickup different tips and read their articles. Professionals dowsers give a great deal of attention to certain technical aspects of what they do, and often differs from what another dowser does. This might confuse beginners. The basics, however, applies to everyone. From this point, the best thing to do is discover what works best for you by creating experiments of your own. Example: When I began, I had my wife put water in one of three cups and cover them with a plate while I sat in another room waiting for her to say, "Ready." Using my pendulum, my task was to find the one cup containing water. But even before this test, I held my pendulum over a bowl of water to guage the reaction of my pendulum along with my intuitive feeling. I conducted another test two out of three cups of water; this time salt was added to one of them. My task, lock in on the water containing salt. I was successful in both cases and was able to repeat the test. Then I moved to finding object under the cups, their size, and type material. From there, I applied my own visualization technque in relation to locating people and tapping in on their health issues, which I learned from the Silva Method in the late1970's (they are still around and their course is reasonably priced-includes remote viewing for healing work), and then applied my own pendulum method for health analysis and distance healing. One draws info from one's subconscious library of stored information. The more one understands about how the subconscious mind works, the better. If the mind has already been exposed to something, anything, there is information about it stored away there. This is why the subconscious creates so many colorful combinations of creative activity and images in dreams that we'd all love to have access to on a conscious level. The main thing to learn from pendulum books: cueing in on the thinking process behind the authors mind, and why they develop particular methods for tapping into life's energy vibrations in all areas. Hence, since everything is energy and vibration, you become the primary tool; the pendulum is only an extension of youself which reacts to the focus of your attention. Once you know the basics of using a pendulum and the commonly used charts, and trust your own intuitive process, then, create you can begin creating your own charts for whatever purpose you wish. For health analysis, make use of existing anatomy charts. I use a quartz crystal pendulum I put together for health work to determine deficiencies, health level vibration of chakras and organs, for distance healing work, or to determine if what I have done is working or not. For anything else, I use a different pendulum. Using a specific pendulum for a specific reason conditions one's subscocious to focus on a specific purpose. The books I own are no longer in publication. But you can check the list of books offered by the American Dowsing Association and The Bristish Dowsing Organization (the latter offers online courses). [b[Topics to reseach online: Radiasthesia, Pendulum as it relates to health and to Chakras, and to water dowsing--because the body is 80% water. Must read: "The Field" by L. McTaggart; "The Hidden Message of Water" by M. Emoto; "Limitless Mind" by Targ (Remote Viewing). These are still on the market. I recall seeing this title a while back, but the book store didn't carry it. It was considered a special order, and I don't generally order books unless I know what the Table of Content contains to see if there is something new for me in it or not. bacause of my background experience and training as a naturopath, oriental healing art of acupressure--which involves knowledge of acupincture meridians, and Reiki, Reflexology, herbalogy and homeopathy, I understand natural healing in relation to nature and have been fairly successful with health issues of clients, which began by healing myself over 30 years ago. More often than not, prodicing healing is simpler than orthodox methods makes it out to be. We just live in time and age in which people have been conditioned to believe that complicated methods have the best solutions. While the truth is that it only complicates things even more so down the line. Apparently you have already read The Medical I Ching. Please do relate something of what you learned from it and what it contains, and something about the author. The other link you requested about the recent case I worked on applying "distance healing," I can't find it in the Taoist Disscusion section. It was the only topic I have posted thus far. If you could find it based on "Ayudar," let me know. Update on that case, I was informed yesterday that the patient at the hospital is alive and well, and communicating when he was not expected to live. If you cannot find it either, let me know and I will see if I still have a copy of it on my system and email it to you privately. 14. You never had a choice.

I can't decide if this is fatalistic or nihilistic. Either way it's a bit limited to think that everything could be one sided. I think we need to carefully examine this view. The real 'you' is beyond such extremes as nonexistence. We have the ability to awaken from the dream. I think this is what happens when philosophy becomes a substitute for actual experience.
15. The feminization of the Western male?

There is a mystery here. Why do we need to defend our own sexes from the other at all? We are somewhat different types of beings that have to come together in order to create our own kind. The natural differences are just that - Natural and like so much on this planet - this too has been tampered with to fit our wills' ideal and dream of control. I agree that the worst cases of abuse are on a political level, where women have still to fight very hard to have any inkling of equality, and are still locked out of many political systems around the globe. I'm not sure we are keeping in perspective just how recent any political equality is anywhere for women. So as human beings women have grabbed whatever power they can in the household where they tend to rule, and create the essence of our various cultures, raising the young to become adult. The roles we play in western society are vastly different than traditional roles through out time. We are in a new paradigm, that confuses us all to some degree. The chair thing strikes me as just the opposite of what some here are saying. I see it as the male showing a total lack of self-respect and placing himself in the hands of the woman by not being gallant. It is she who then makes the first move on him to take the lead in the relationship. I think she got what she wanted as much as he and the dynamic of the situation was just irrelivant to her purposes. She literaly was good at thinking on her feet. The difference being is that when men are objectified into sexual objects they still get laid- so , cool...The value of getting laid supercededs the value of self-respect sometimes... Maybe all the time for most guys. In courtship it is natural for the man to defer to the woman, it actually shows self confidence to allow himself to be sub-serviant to her -this by his own will. Later he will typically assume the leadership role in the household for "outside" matters and the woman will rule the roost as it were. But those traditions seldom exist in the West anymore and are variable everywhere. It may be some sort of evolutionary change, that women have to become more aggressive in order to propogate the species -because men are just losing their gumption, being swamped by an ever-more distracting and confusing world of rapid changes and shifting values.
16. If someone like Max continues this practice well, he will eventually reach the entry point of the first stage, there are many name (Dhyana, Samadhi, etc.). I'm not versed on all the Buddhist terms, not something we discuss in Dzogchen openly, but anyway, the mind will become absorbed in the Shen to a greater degree and he will begin to go so deeply into meditation that the breath and the heart beat stop. This is actual meditation, or at least we can say it's beyond one pointed consentration. Everything else is considered a preperation for this state. It's quite remarkable to think that we can train the mind to let go to this degree. At this stage, some people begin to develop abilities powers, most of it useless. Also it is extremely important to have a master to guide you, as you may well know; thoughout this process, at least in every tradition I have been exposed to. The practitioner will be confronted by many demons/obstecals; personal, imagined, whatever. It's a dangerous process at this level that just illustrates all the more the importance and benifit of having a guide. This is just a higher degree of BE HERE NOW. Which isn't a concept that can be fully apreciated until you understand what this process really entails. It's a true letting go. The body is of course clincally alive even though no machine or device would find a pulse or detectable breath, there are many stories of meditators being buried alive. Some of that have studied with the HT know that Chia's teachers teacher was a yogi who would leave his body for months at a time to go deeply into the Shen and refine the immortal fetus. Sadly the knowledge of those practices do not make up what we now know as the HT. Think about the word ego. It meens the sense that 'I' exist. But who are we really? Are we this body? No. Are we this mind? No. We or 'I' is only a dream. Who is having this dream? The Shen. The true nature of your mind. The Bodhi mind. To really let go or to really be here now is to be one with the Shen and one with your true nature. Who here has reached this state? I want to introduce a little Buddhist philosophy. I'm not enlightened or anything. But this exercise is just to illustrate a point. So this raises the question, what about this body? What about this mind? They are the result of your thinking only, they are the illusion created by grasping. I am my body and I am in control, is just a dream. So how do we get to the real us? Letting go. But, just wanting to let go is not enough. We have to direct the dream. This is the gift of the dreamer. The ability to change the dream. In the whole universe, there is one remote control; that is your thinking. Change your thinking and the whole universe will change. How hard is it to change your thinking? Very, very hard. Like chopping down a mountain with the back of your hand. All Daoist practice is the art of directing the mind to it's source. The master or guru or teacher is at the source, shining the lamp that will point the way. That's all. Nothing fancy or anything to get excited about. But for those souls who are ready to take that journey the master simply provides a road map showing the way. The student in turn must have complete trust and faith in the masters abilities and put his life in the masters hands, not an easy thing to do. That is why the master shows his true nature only to those who are ready and only to those who are willing to let go. Again this goes for all traditions, and even applies whether your master is another human being, or just Dao or God for the truly fortunite ones to have such a grand relationship. This whole thing is not about creating fear and having power. Any master worth the name knows that. But this idea of complete surrender is something that happens way down the line in your practice and development. Very few are really ready to take on such a task. And many who do fail and the ego takes over again. When theis happens and the student has developed some powers, it can spell big trouble for the student. Especially if those powers are missused. You can imagine. One of John Chang's students, not that John is enlightened, was kicked out of the school for winning hundred of thousands of dollars gambling. He was using his gifts to make money which is strictly forbiddon is Mo Pai. I had to take this oath myself and I can tell you they take it very seriously. Or even worse, people get hurt or the student himself gets killed. It's also a good point to make that the masters have no judgements about those who don't wish to be involved in such endeavors. At least the ones who are genuine. A simple life lived well is worth a thousand lives of reckless striving for enlightenment. Anyway, good points on all sides in this discussion. I would say, if you are going for Daoist cultivation, get a teacher. And, if not, just enjoy life. Either way you are bound to have good times and bad and either way you are probably coming back a few more times at least. As the Dali Lama says, just be good.
17. The Tao Of Chaos

Hello Sean, Since you were first to greet me at the Lobby as a new member, I thought it appropiate to respond to one of your posts first. I locked into this 333 business because you are not alone in this phenomena. For years, both my wife and I have been encountering the same thing. I often wake up in the night and it is 3:33 am, I look over at my computer clock--car clock, and bank clock, and it's that time. I will see license plates of cars I stop behind with this numer. One time, I stopped at a light and a pizza delivery vehicle stopped beside me and it's first three digits were 3:33. The most informative reply I received took place in a dream back in the 1980's. In this experience, I met a wise man and asked him what 333 signified. His reply, "It means--Ultimate." This always stuck with me. When I began learning numbers and vibrations, I learned that scientifically all things in our physical known universe can be explained by 9 (333). I did a numerolical cahrt on the name of Jesus Christ (An old Egyptian Method taught to me by the Brotherhood of Light, used to determine vibrations and what it means), and the name came to 9 (333). When I through in the word "Cross," the vibration changed to 10, which meant "Completion" and made total sense, because it was where he completed his mission. The meaning, however, "Meant change of Cycle" as a 10. Therefore, I can only assume that 333, in its total (9), indicates that this world is currently undergoing a process of change that will ultimatelu bring about a major "Change of Cycle" affecting the entire world. Now why is it that many of us are seeing this so often while others are not. My best guess is that those who are spiritually sensitive are automatically attuned to the changes but may not know that it has a numerical vibration value. Once known, however, and correlated with what is occurring around us and in us, one can see that it all falls in place. Something out there wants us to prepare for the coming changes. Regards, Ayudar

Often times adepts adopt various release valves for invaluable forms of communication/communion. It is not uncommon to find students of the various schools "acting out" in the form of martial or esoteric art because of the boundary provided by being "a student of the Art". It's important not to let emotional outlets get in the way of meditation. Emotions are closely related to the senses. Mental fixation / attachment on the outcome of any sensory engagement prevents the state of Sung from manifesting. As the mind so shall be the body. What pace are you sinking? Engage, to neutralize and harmonize or cremate and be reborn. Personal boundaries defined is really asside ones self. Yes it's ego even to embody the perceptual proportions limit of ma; but its an ever widening event horizon cresting wave 100th monkey consciousness bringing barricades down around ideas claims that drown out dreams. Every time you crest and break it open and close it, leap high or stumble and fall the gathering tides wash the days destiny from your back. The circulation is the days, the water wheels pump, non-action & actions interactions w/ nonesense, move without moving, be still with movement, balance & store/absorb. Tell it to another and gloat it, show it to another and lose it, only to find it on a journey to another land. Sow it and to Save it for later generations of yourself. We need about 300 years to live enough to get it, you need about 300 days to forget it, you need about 300 ways to physically express it, though the days way might say otherwise unworldly wisdom slips in sight unseen, seeming to be the seams of what we really dream as real. Yet emotional engagement is not attachment. Transfiguring the arrangement isnt outside the engagement. Like Bruce Lee said so nicely "Emotional Content; Not Anger!" Intensity of movement is not violence. Responses to Violence need be Precise, no need for violence in kind. Violence exists in a dimension outside of Conscious Movement. 'Certainly' said the unicorn, 'if you prefer "God is Unicity". 'I have no preferences' replied the owl 'but unicity makes sense at least.' Indeed some sacred Scripture did say "The only proof of His existance is Union with Him" the unicorn agreed. 'An Upanishad, if I am not mistaken?' the owl suggested. 'No doubt, no doubt,' said the unicorn, 'or as a Christan sage put it "God is nearer to me than I am to myself". 'I am indeed,' the owl agreed. ------ To guide in act and action, word and deed, are the signs. The watercourse way never misleads, although subtle, she mysteriously guides her pilgrims progress. The point that you have missed here Pat is the fact that dispite my own addmission that I am not achieved or more than a beginner, the teaching and practices I experienced with David are designed so that anyone, experienced or not, can understand the real meaning of Daoist cultivation once they understand the underlying principles. That's what's so exciting, that an ordinary person like me can easliy grasp why most of the stuff out their that's being presented in the west as Daoist cultivation is very shallow and incomplete. Btw, I have been practicing and researching for over a decade and am a former HT instructor; it's not like I fell off the turnup cart yesterday. I have traveled to Euope and Asia fairly extensively over the past 6 years and learned the secrets of Daoism from people who have achieved th things many her dream of achieving and that have been written about is classical texts, but grossly misunderstood in the west and in China for that matter, the realities of these practices are there for those who look. As for your challenge, I cannot accept. Our school has nothing to do with martial arts really. For what it's worth I'm sorry for any offense you have perceived. I certiany never intended to offend the memory of your Mother. I think that is very clear and there is really no need for you to behave the way you have because I have nothing against you personally. I just happen to think your criticism of me is unskillful and borish. I will share some points from David's recent essay soon; hopefully this help clearify the message I'm putting out and the reason for secrets, etc. It is the masters obligation to keep secrets from his students, it's imortant for teh student's growth and the masters duty to only reveal what that student needs at the right time in his or her development. Simple, but easy to confuse from an outside perspective. Many traditions, such as the Jewish Cabbalists and Christain essenes held and do hold the exact same ways of secrecy and it's a safe gaurd for the student, nothing more. When you understand what cultivation is and how delicate and complex the process of creating the Dan tien and letting the process occur at the right time and in a balenced way, you will understand why the secrets are not secrets; there are actually very important karmic reasins for this and the student can bear that karma for life times if they go to fast or don't proceed according to the teachers perscription which can be different for each student. As for the price of the training. Many of David's masters do actually teach for free and some do not. As has been made clear here, the prices for David's retreat are more expensive than some training and less than others. I happen to think they are pretty reasonable. I really don't see how this is corrupt or evil. The idea that David is somehow putting a price on enlightenment or immortality is not really close to the reality as he is not really garenteeing anything of this magnitude. There are many paths to enlightenment, all require sacrifice. I understand your frustration and I hope we can make peace. The fact that I'm rude and sometimes crass has nothing to do with the truth of the experiences of myself and others. I think someone used the term 'Hornets nest,' this is basically how it gets in this board some times. I'm just one person and I'm human. When I feel unfairly attacked some times I react with sarcasm. Sarcasm doesn't translate well on the net. Anyway, as I said I hope we can put our differences aside. I would like to suggest that both parties need to respect eachother more, I think MOST people here see that point. With Love, S

Just received David's thoughts on the matter of the practice revealed and Pietro's actions. David is always very telling about such matters and about people like Pietro who have, of course, a troubled history with David. David related the whole story of his very limited relationship with Pietro. I will not repeat such embarressing details here. Definity Pietro has a motive to black mail David in this funny little charade. I will leave the rest to imagination out of respect for Peitro's reputation and emotional health. David did write him and requested that the material be taken down and we shall see if he will make good on his promise. As for Vidiami, David "understands that his actions are faultless and just asked that he contact Peitro to also request him to remove the description. Since Vidiami created the mess, he should have a part in cleaning it up." David sometimes tests his students, while he said it's up to Vidiami, if Vidiami values his relationship with David, it would be a nice gesture; that's just my feeling. D'altronde qualunque pratica se descritta a livello generale potrebbe essera asscociata a qualunque altra ed invece non e' decisamente il caso, ti pregherei di evitare di suggerire altrimenti. grazie mille a buona fortuna David English version: Pietro Many years passed since we last communicated, it is regrettable that the reason is an "accident" cause by a forum letter. A couple of friends wrote me in regard, please erase the copies and paste you made and also references and notes on the topic so to repect privacy and the masters will. Such a general description of a practice will only create confusion and gossips, in fact any practic if described in such general terms can potentially be associated to any other, this is not definetly the case, please do not suggest it is so. thanks a lot and good luck David" Indeed, way past my bed time. This fat happy lad is going to beddy by. Sorry Pat it's 10pm here time for all good little punks to dream of cotton candy and lemon drops. I suggest you do the same. Things may look different in the morning.

Welcome to the Bums and nice dream interpretation.
22. "The Secret" hits it bigtime!

Right on.. I can't remember where this story is from but the basic idea is that someone was being shown heaven and hell. In Hell, there was a long table with exquisite foods but everyone seated at the table had really long fingers and couldn't bring the food to their mouths, so they were sitting there pretty unhappy and starving. Heaven was the same exact table, same exact food, but the people at the table were feeding the one across from them and vice versa. I have been reading a bit on the berg's version of kabbalah and Cam, I think you would be really interested in it. It's basically all about reducing the ego. When you're ego based, you want to receive for yourself. When you can transcend the ego, then you want to receive in order to share. It's the sharing that brings us to god and to our true nature. The techniques in the secret, the way it's presented, enforce the ego. Gimme gimme gimme, me me me. But I see it's the only way to wake up. By realizing that our experience is caused by us is the only way to have a heaven on earth. As long as we think life is random and meaningless, then the ego will always want its share. We will always have conflict and war. When we realize differently, when we learn that everything that happens to us is our own fault, not our neighbors, when we finally wake up to this is our dream, then we can start to really experience the divine. T
23. Walking The Invisible Path

I awoke from a dream yesterday... I was driving my car in a caravan of vehicles as we entered a tunnel. It was apparently a long tunnel, that got darker as we got deeper inside. It was unlit and so eventually it got pitch black. At this point, I quickly tried turning my headlights on...but they wouldn't turn on no matter what I did! So, here I was trying to follow a car ahead of me and avoid crashing into the walls - all at full speed...without being able to see a damned thing! I was basically left to "feel" or "sense" my way through with practically no external guidance. What do I mean by "sensing?" Just imagine careening through a dark tunnel at 70 mph and trying not to hit anything! Now, that's "sensing!" Well after several hairy seconds of blindly careening through this darkness, the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel appeared. Somehow, I had made it out alive. I rolled down my window to check my sideview mirror for any damage and there were just 2 small scrapes. Fairly unscathed, whew. We then drove down into an underground area where we all parked and deboarded. And left on foot to explore some subterranean passageways... I interpret this dream as meaning that I will have to use "sensing" to progress through less visible and deeper paths I am at now...that may lead inside myself to my very core. That there are times when you must follow a path you cannot even see. And how to walk...an invisible path.
24. "The Secret" hits it bigtime!

I just got Winn's post about "The Secret." It's a nice response and there's lots of truth in it. The Secret doesn't work easily for most of us... Hagar's experiences are like the experiences found in positive thinking and business achievement books: they work for a gifted subset in an aspect or two of their lives. If it was easy to manifest, it wouldn't be up for debate in the first place. (As an aside, people who are good at manifesting things are more likely to buy into "The Secret" type of a theory than are people who poo-poo it. They might change it from new agey to a more traditional religious flavor, but you'll find it.) Winn says that the meditative approach is the long term answer. (Although the same argument could be made about meditative practices... they work great for a gifted subset.) The nice thing about the meditative approach is that the pleasure is here and now whereas most people understand the Secret to imply that the pleasure will come from the manifestation of the house, relationship, state of health, etc. Here's the post: "The Secret" - A Harry Potter Manual for Adults? That is where so many of us fail to grasp the real Secret of manifesting something new. The popular film "The Secret" buzzing around the internet and Oprah these days gives the standard channelled new age nostrums: visualize what you want, and build a new energetic thought form. By seeing your thought as real, and relying on the Law of Attraction to get support, you will manifest the $3 million dollar dream house with the pool (that cost $300K a decade ago). There is nothing new here, this is an Old Secret, variations of which appear as sexual magic (charge up a thought form with sexual energy). The only thing that it is really new is that New Age visualization is getting into the mainstream media as a sign of changing times. The public is over its head in financial debt, and the film offers a magic solution to becoming one of the wealthy, worry-free elite. Its a Harry Potter manual, packaged for adults, promising instant riches. The focus is on material, not spiritual development. But the advice offered is useful in getting people to focus their energy, as many problems do arise from the fragmentation and scattering effects of modern life. What's not being fully dealt with is Our Resistance to Change. That is the main impediment to manifesting the life we truly want. No, Resistance is not a dark cloaked evil figure. It's not Satan trying to make our life difficult, forcing us to have a nervous break down, and then sobbingly surrender our free will to some religious group claiming a power greater than the Darkness. Our Resistance is Invested in the Past Our Resistance is the shadow aspect of our self, a.k.a. the Self-Saboteur. It is actually the part of our Energy Body that is invested in the past. The past represents the Known. The Self-Saboteur is a junkie for what's known, even if what's known doesn't really work and has us mired in suffering. Same problem arises when our past pleasures no longer really give us pleasure. The sex becomes mechanical, the rich food tastes like cardboard. Our past attachment becomes future suffering as our Shadow Junkie puts us through withdrawal pains if we try to change from what is known. So what's the Real Secret to manifesting while living in a habit-encrusted body with rigid personality traits? It's pretty simple, but there are three steps. The first step is to realize what and where you are currently investing your energy. Once you can see your old investments, you can choose to re-invest. But unlike investing money, where we have the feedback of numbers in a bank account to tell us if we are winning or losing, our Energy Body keeps tabs of its investment invisibly. We could say sexual bonding, emotions and mental beliefs are the most tangible aspects of those invisible energetic investments. What happens is that people want to invest in having new lives, new jobs, new homes, new relationships, new spiritual paths. But they forget where their past capital is unconsciously invested. It's like forgetting the number on your bank account, and never withdrawing the funds. Banks make a lot of money this way in real life. And the same loss occurs with our psychic capital. For the person trying to change, half of their "energetic money" is still invested in the past. This reduces by 50% the amount of energetic money they have available to invest in a new future. So when folks try implementing "The Secret" and visualize a new life, they may be dealing from half a deck of cards. It's hard to produce a royal flush or four aces playing with a half a deck - even if you are the dealer and the only player. That is why, by process of trial and error, I've concluded that Taoist energetic practices are the most valuable tools I've discovered for managing my "unconscious money". The money is hidden inside our body, in deep energetic patterns - right where we invested it and stored it years ago. Lots of people try to get rid of that money in therapy, because they don't recognize it as money. They try to discard the old self or deny the self even exists, or try to heal the old pattern by surgical-energetically removing these dysfunctional patterns. I've found you are best off simply remembering that the old pattern is there, and re-invest its chi into a new pattern that is now unfolding in your life. You turn what is a useless self-sabotage into something productive. Breaking the Vessel of the Old Self Sure, there is "big new money" floating all around us, in the general chi field of Nature. We could say infinite amounts of chi money has been pre-printed by Nature, waiting to be spent, if only we could attract it. Just like there are trillions of dollars floating around in the global economy. But there's no point chasing after those trillions until you break your old piggy bank and create a vessel that is big enough to hold what you really need. But if your Energy Body is habituated to being the size of child's toy piggy bank, then that is how much "money" you will allow yourself to receive and spend. Because that tiny piggy bank is the vibrational vessel for your wealth. You have to break the old toy piggy bank and build a bank-sized vault as big as the sun, moon, and stars if you want to hold the vibrational wealth of Nature. But again, visualizing the sun and moon won't do much if the tiny piggy bank is still the core investment that you are holding onto in your deep unconscious. The piggy bank represents something valuable to the subconscious child in you. That child is holding tight in its fist the first nickel you ever got, and only lets go of the nickel to store it in that little plastic piggy bank. That nickel seemed like huge wealth to the child - and back then it bought a juicy handful of candy. We know from the Law of Compounding that energy, just like money, grows over time if undisturbed and allowed to multiply steadily. Our Energy Body acts like a focusing vortex for the Life Force, and it will grow exponentially if we don't disperse it. That is why alchemists create inside their body a vessel for the elixir. They know the Life Force will compound over time if allowed to "cook" in a strong container. This internal cauldron space is the equivalent of the alchemist's piggy bank. Whatever we focus on, chi will keep pouring into it until we tell it to stop. We forget what commands we've issued in the past - but the Life Force doesn't forget. It keeps feeding your request until you take responsibility for changing it. That's how it gets us to grow up. So our first job in overcoming Our Resistance is recognizing what form that piggy bank takes inside us. It could be encoded as a small or weak self-image. It could be from a phrase like "You are worthless!" that someone unconsciously imbedded into our field at a vulnerable time. It helps to locate where in your body these old energies are stored, and note the shape, feeling, color, size, etc. Second step is to break the old piggy bank, now a dysfunctional energy pattern, but still a controlling one. There are many methods for this, available through study of qigong and inner alchemy and certain kinds of healing. The third step is to re-invest that nickel and the hundreds of dollars in interest it has unconsciously accumulated over the years. You invest the past "stuck" wealth into your new direction in life. Then you are investing from inner strength, not struggling against your old investments. You are putting the Shadow energy to work for you. In terms of Taoist energetic practice, you won't be able to hold much chi until you clear your inner space of old energetic patterns - it's like furniture blocking free flow of chi inside your body. That is what the Six Healing Sounds, Inner Smile, Orbit and Fusion of the Five Elemetns are all doing - clearing out old patterns while something new simultaneously is invited to flow in. Become a Moving Vessel for the Life Force In this way we each become a Moving Vessel for the Life Force. This is a flexible, process-centered identity that eliminates the rigid psychic battle between the dark Shadow Self vs. the good Light Self struggling over what gets manifested. Instead, we become aware of both aspects moving through outer time and space, while inviting the Life Force to move through our inner space. It's a dance. We wake up to the possibility of having a vast, spacious cauldron in our center of gravity, where before there was just the blood and guts of our physical belly. The notion of "dan tian" takes us into a deeper dimension of ourself, beyond the physical. The ancient chinese characters for "dan tian" are best interpreted to mean the "open field in which the elixir completes itself". The spiritual science of manifestation is focused on completing our soul's destiny - not on satisfying mere culturally stimulated desires - like chasing after 3 million dollar homes with swimming pools. Many people manifest the dream home, but how many also end up in divorce, loneliness, and dissipating their energy through drugs, power, lust, etc.? Ao one Secret is not to chase after the cultural dream, but to listen to your inner soul's desires. The inner elixir sought by alchemists is your soul's wealth, gathered from your life's experience. We can concentrate this essence in one very pure point of consciousness that fuses our yin-yang identity into a third force. But we need a very dynamic space, and that is why I describe it as a Moving Vessel, because the Life Force is always flowing in and out of it. When we are children, it feels like there's no past, so our chi is free to flow in all directions, a time of wonderful exploration. Because kids have no past to get attached to, little resistance has developed. It's easy to change direction, and do it often. But our Way in youth is a unrefined, unformed, a lump of clay waiting to be sculpted. Lao Tzu might say youth is carrying within itself the uncarved block - the pure potential of the situation or one's life, before we've shaped it into something new and beautiful. One translation of "lao tzu" is "ancient child", implying a sage that has learned to live in the moment with a child's fresh joy and wonder. Yet this child-sage simultaneously holds the wisdom of the past and future in this present moment. The Law of Attraction is also working on us, even as we think we can manipulate it. It is a difficult force for us adults to manage, because it impacts onto our own (unconscious) sexual energy. Sexual chi holds the yin-yang poles within our core self identity. They are constantly magnetizing everything in the field around us. Yin-yang sexual force causes the chi to flow towards us or be repelled out of our personal cauldron. Once we can witness this sexual inner push-pull, we can begin to shape our manifestation process. But that is not a quick visualization. It takes years of serious qigong and meditation cultivation practice. This is one application of the Kan & Li (Water and Fire) alchemical process. The Lesser Enlightenment of Kan and Li harnesses your sexually polarized soul force to re-shape your reality. It converts the yin-yang forces into neutral force, and then allows that to spontaneously unfold as needed in our body and our life. Because it works at the deep jing (sexual essence) level, I find all the Kan & Li meditation practices to be the most powerful way to shape the Law of Attraction and thus manifest what your soul REALLY needs. Visualization is Limited - Use Your Whole Energy Body Visualizing the manifestation process is too mental and too partial to produce the most profound results. We have to gather and reinvest our sexual and emotional and at higher levels of practice, our ancestral and astrological soul energies if we really want to shape the process of manifestation. This involves deep and long training of our energy body. We invest decades in school to acquire outer knowledge in order to earn outer wealth. Why not invest a few years to learn the secrets of your internal process, and how to invest your inner wealth? Otherwise, many spiritual seekers settle for becoming "spiritually detached", mere passive witnesses to the unfolding of life. This is first stage, letting go of their past. But they never get inside their body and its spiritual secrets - they have forgotten where the "money" is hiding in their little piggy bank. I feel many may never realize the next stage, they never re-invest their chi. Some become spacey and lacking worldly direction, pretending it doesn't matter, as long as their head is in the clouds of some other higher world. That is when their Self-Saboteur, The Resistance, starts acting out and they wonder why physical life doesn't conform to their idea of spiritual life. But in reality they have yet to learn the True Secret, the need to reinvest their old stuck energy into Life's new direction. This involves learning energetic skills that make this process much easier, like qigong. And developing skill in recognizing what you are really invested in, so you can re-direct that energy. Then we can realize the creative potential of the gift of Free Will that we each have.
