logical analysis & synthesis of immortality & its methods
voidisyinyang replied to Wells's topic in General Discussion
multiverses are byproducts of attempts at a unified field theory which inherently does not exist due to the limitations of measurement. So the concept of multiverse is a play toy of scientists -- http://www.math.columbia.edu/~woit/wordpress/?p=4715 with no conceivable means of proof in the near future. Science is based on quantum physics which is limited by the time-frequency uncertainty principle. This time-frequency uncertainty principle is the opposite extreme of the Tai Chi symbol. So time-frequency uncertainty creates a paradox in Einstein's relativity because as energy goes up in frequency towards the speed of light then time also goes up in wavelength since time slows down due to relativity. This paradox is not allowed in physics due to the inverse relation of time period to frequency or wavelength amplitude to frequency -- the Law of Pythagoras. So de Broglie created the Law of Phase Harmony which has two time clocks so then when frequency is zero then phase as time is infinite creating faster then light information signaling. But then science makes a technological measurement changing phase into amplitude and this collapes the uncertainty principle so it aligns with linear causation of relativity. So most scientists state that quantum physics can not violate the linear causation of Einstein's relativity because science inherently relies on "collapsing" the wavefunction by using technology to detect the energy -- except for the Quantum Zeno Effect which enables measurements to take place at a faster rate then the technological detection of the energy. So it is postulated that in quantum biology like for photosynthesis and bird migration there is the Quantum Zeno Effect taking place which actually enables 100% efficiency of energy transfer due to quantum superposition or quantum faster than light signaling or quantum tunneling -- depending on how someone interprets the quantum physics. But it does exist - it is delaying the collapse of the wave-function in reality. This effect can not be reproduced through technology but has been demonstrated to exist in life -- and is postulated to explain the sense of smell in humans based on quantum frequency changes even though the physical molecule is the same. So science is inherently limited because there is no "infinitesimal" measuring tool - it is inherently impossible or as scientists state the quantum "infinite potential" literally does not physically exist until it is measured -- or the wavefunction is collapsed. So any superliminal communication exists after the fact -- according to mainstream science that can be reproduced by technology. This is similar to nonwestern shamanism as the Emptiness is impersonal and then the visionary information has to be translated back into left brain linear time. So for example if a person has a vision that is precognitive -- then the person has to train to be able to interpret that vision properly. So a precognitive vision is actually "more real" then being awake in linear time or even a normal dream state -- since a precognitive vision is superconsciousness. But it's only through experience that the person can train to recognize this as it occurs in real time. For example in the dream state a male could be about to ejaculate - which is a real event in linear left brain dominant time -- but the male needs to recognize in "real" non-linear dream time that the dream to ejaculate is not just a dream but "more real" than being awake -- since a male would not normally ejaculate with no control while awake. Or it could be just training as "staying power" while awake and having sex - and so the ejaculation is called "little death" - a moment of going into the Emptiness. Yeah so this is a tunnel experience from the black hole to white hole but there is a reversal of spacetime -- so a reversal from left brain to right brain via the pineal gland as the hole.- 163 replies

People are attracted to sources of power, they feel they will get something from them. So they go see what is going on and listen. And then the misunderstand. Instead of stretching their intelligence up and struggling, they hear only what makes sense to them ... at their carnal material nature, they translate the teaching into their carnal understanding. Why were the gnostic gospels removed from the Bible ? Because the were not understood by coarse people and the gnostic material drew suspicion. Why was A Course in Miracles re-edited in 1976 with many important ideas removed ? Because they were not understood ... And so you are left with a path that looks deceptively like the original, except the original light and spirit has been removed by the 1st generation students. Why has advaita gone from being a devotional gurukul transmission path, to wise-acreing about concepts over cappuccinos ? Because it was not understood, because people were not prepared to do the work and did not really need to do the work, they were there to have an easy life, sound important and feel pleased with themselves. Perhaps the first stage of degeneration is omission through non-recognition; and the 2nd stage is wise-acring. As a new crowd arrives at the tradition, and the light has already been removed, the new crowd starts to explore the material in an intellectual way because .... nothing is happening. Nothing is happening because the 1st generation students deleted all the light, and so the 2nd generation students receiving an empty meal start to have a look in the mental realm for answers. False Compassion : Masturbation of Feelings : Insect Oneness Jesus gave 2 commandments : the first was to Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, body. And the second was to love your neighbour as if he were yourself. But when I have heard people repeat Jesus's instructions, they conveniently omit the 1st instruction. They just talk about love and compassion etc... Why ? Because that is quite comprehensible to apes, who know about caring for people. Unfortunately without the 1st instruction it is all carnal and meaningless. If you don't love God (have a bridge to the light) ... then your caring is animal. After a while the students start to notice that loving your neighbour does not bring salvation, so they .... begin to try to extract more juice from loving your neighbour ... now they wish to love everyone and everything and imagine they will save the world and so on. Which is not what was intended and just fantasy. They exaggerate the 2nd instruction because they didn't hear the 1st. When the teacher doesn't know Several teachers (Nisargadatta, J Krishnamurti, UG Krisnamurti, Mooji, Adida) have stated at the end of their lives that nobody understood them, nobody got it, or very few. And so we have to question whether teachers actually know themselves how to teach, it appears to be a separate skill. Eckhart Tolle for instance struggled since he was young, going here going there, sleeping rough, trying this trying that. Finally he arrived at realisation and he teaches The Power Of Now. But .... that was not his own path. He cannot teach his own path because it was a big mess. So he made something up that might or might not work, certainly it was not how he awoke. Often the teachers are simply describing their state, like describing a summit ... .but that is not a path to get you to the summit. It is quite sad if a teacher speaks for 40 years and nobody is awakened. Osho says at the end of his life : "I leave you my dream". Dream ? Where are the instructions ? Bye thanks a lot. Jesus's early years are concealed, and Osho similarly sought to dismiss it ... in order to project a superman image. If you saw the pain suffering stupidity and banalness of their early journey perhaps students would not be impressed. Another thing I have noticed is that teachers always assume you are a beginner and want you to start at the bottom, but this may not be the case at all. Humans don't really assess their own state, and few teachers can either. So how can we do something positive then with this information : - always go to the source, read the words of the teacher yourself - study the life of the teacher himself, what choices did he make and how does it compare to your own choices - regardless of what the teacher says try to feel his state and invoke a transmission, even from a photo or song - assume that most wise-acres that follow do not understand - demand results from anyone you follow Active destruction Many teachers/groups seem to be looking for an easy life, where you can hug and screw or wise acre all day long, wear strange clothing and burn incense, and convince yourself everything is great ... rather than the light. Such groups actively destroy teachings and are suspicious of what is real. You can say that such people are at a level of consciousness where they wish to explore friendship and various things and so choose the umbrage of a spiritual tradition .... in other words they are doing what they need to do for their own journey .... but it results in the destruction of a tradition. Eating from the King's table I suppose you can say that the Light percolates into this world, and the progressive eating of the Light is how it carried into the dark world. Like Chinese whispers, each generation repeating the words with a little less light ... until what is left has no light in it, and un-differentiated from the darkness. Another mechanism of transmission into the dark world is when a being lifts himself up to hear with better ears and himself becomes lit up like a lighthouse.

Bizarre telemetry telepathy awakening?

well precognition freaks me out. The first time it happened to me was a dream more real than being awake and so I immediately wrote it down and wrote I thought it would come true. Three years later I got this eerie feeling and I drove up to my parents, started paging through my old journal and bang - my dream had come true. I had a dream that my activist friends were with Native Indians on the roof of a house holding a banner to protest for the protection of an old growth forest. That dream was in 1995 and in 1998 I was looking at a photocopy of a newspaper photo of the exact same image. So then I was listening to Coasttocoastam and someone called in mentioning they had a dream that came true in detail three years later. So I knew I was not alone. But still if that can happen then it means we are dreaming now but not as intense as when we can see the future in our dreams -- a sort of spiritual consciousness more real than being awake. -
I also for the past year and half recovered my ability to feel. I felt not long ago that i dont acknowledge the suffering of my own and of others mostley, i somehow dont to let them through. When i started to open up i to it i started having anxiety attacks and had a very clear dream. I was a young child in my bed where i grew up and my mother ran over to me in the middle of the night and somehow passed her fears onto me (Its not my interpretation i somehow knew that in the dream) and as a child it was to much to bare. Sounds like great realizations and i find it very inspiring, thank you. Do you mind if i PM you sometime so you can tell me more about your process ?

Is there a space for queer people in a traditional or semi-traditional setting?

I wrote earlier about my (mostly positive) as a gay guy exploring eastern traditions of meditation and movement. Thinking about things further, I´d like to add that my experience with organized religion hasn´t been nearly so positive. It´s tough to say anything definitive about gay life within Christian and Jewish circles. Lord knows there are a lot of us. I believe that there´s a genuine spiritual path available in all the Abrahamic religions, but it´s not one freely available for all. I spent my junior year of college studying Torah in Israel. It was a wonderful experience but my dream of moving there after college and joining some socially insular but spiritually enraptured Hasidic community was not to be. There´s just not much room in that world for guys like me, in spite of my predilection for predawn dips in the mikvah. I might have had more luck in a Reform community in the US, but, like Woody Allen, I´m not much interested in being part of a club who will have me. While hurdles of homophobia and discrimination still exist in society, my greatest challenge has not come from the outside. My greatest challenge has been, and continues to be, self acceptance. Embracing my whole self is, for me, a large part of what it means to be a spiritual person. In this regard, my task as a man-loving-dude isn´t so different from that of any other person. Incredibly, heterosexuals also have insecurities and difficulties relating to others. Or so I hear. -
In the first chapter of Tao Te Ching you can read that you should remain without desires to observe the secrets of that which gave birth to heaven and earth. So if remain with desire, you will either see thought or no thought, because you then observe its manifestations. However, you must remain detached and observe without your "self" or ego. Kind of like a scientist does it. He has desires, but does not let his emotions prevent him from witnessing all the secrets beyond his superficial view of reality that caused these emotions. The way to go is, thus, curiosity. Don't take desirelessness to literally either. You should observe that each thought you have is a decision with consequences to your life and that of others. The lessons that can be drawn from each thought is, thus, infinite. With meditation, you do not only look at the thoughts, but without your desireful superficial ego in the way, you actually accept the fact that all thougjts are fake and relative, depending on each other. So you go to the source of all your thoughts; perception of perception of reality. Usually when this stage has beem reached, a wake initiated lucid dream will begin. Some people might also call it an out of body experience, because of the unfamiliarirty of such an experience for those who never had a wake initiated lucid dream. This will increase alertness. These people become aware of there surroundings, and their focus of awareness switches back to perception itself, instead of perception of the perception. This, in turn, causes the wake initiated dream to begin with the idea that one is in his own room. The dreaming world actually does begin in his own room, because of this perception. The thin line between your dreaming paralyzed body and dream body both lying in bed equally causes the side effects that are often associated with the term out of body experience. Such as the believe that one is in bed, holding on to that perception even when you loose the vision, feeling of sensation in your body, smell, sound and taste of being in your bed. The fact that you are in bed becomes emotionally attached to as you go trough this scary unfamiliar experience. When you actually manage to move your dream body, you will see this perception of yours continue to live on simply by noticing that your body is still in bed. You must then conclude that this is an "out of body experience" which is simply not the case. It is an wake initiatied dream that is not yet fully lucid. The goalof such meditation is to train yourself to become lucid to several limiting believes about your reality. When you can do that on the fly, you can change the outcome of certain moments in your life. Switch from struggle to ease, from undecisiveness towarda emmediate and effective action, from doubt and low in faith towards alignment with the unchanging, etc.

Is there a space for queer people in a traditional or semi-traditional setting?

I really feel in most cases, only one party is really correct in that judgement though. Making any outreach can be legitimately dangerous for both in a lot of cases, it can enable self-destructive behavior and opens channels for abuse and attack. I think most people try very hard for a very long time before they decide to make a complete break, or otherwise have very good reason to think they would be in mortal danger for so much as announcing their presence, completely no fault of their own. It's an obvious problem really just imagining the dynamic of a domestic violence situation, and you would encounter it again and again if you spent time helping people in a community, no need to experience it yourself. It feels so... uninspired to not temper precepts of filial piety with the knowledge of this reality. Worse yet to encourage the abuse, "spare the rod, spoil the child" and what not... At least there is a strong framework in Buddhism and Daoism for anti-literalist and anti-puritanical interpretation, "finger pointing to the Moon" and "The Dao that can be named is not the Eternal Dao" and such, that helps soften my criticisms but it still feels... Farcical in a lot of ways for me to uncritically integrate it into my life at this point. Too many things that grate against me when I look more deeply into its texts and past. Feel less well versed in Hinduism but I'm not holding my breath that there won't be similar confusions there. And even wondering rather it would actually help me even. I've felt some benefit in accepting some of these modes of thinking and experiences back into my life, but I can easily see how this could flip the other direction and turn me into a strange kind of spiritual hypochondriac, another layer of anxiety on my life. So I feel like some guidance would be really helpful, but all I see outside of traditional environments are... Dudes trying to sell me DVD sets and books to groom me into opening an energy healing business or help them do seminars and shit... I'm not interested. I read Dream Trippers and I literally laughed out loud and said "Exactly!" when Chen Yuming said "How could a man claiming to do Daoist cultivation possibly say something like that?" after Michael Winn told him "I'm a businessman!" in defense of his excessive haggling. -
Shankaracharya couldn't have said there is one substance that changes its forms because there isn't really 'many forms', but rather only the appearance of forms (like forms that appear in a dream). I think "cause and substance changing its form" is a misunderstanding of Advaita. Shunyata is not the same as Brahman as Brahman is beyond duality (no empty, no full), though emptiness and fullness seem to appear in it. Many a high-level practitioner of Vajrachara and Advaita Vedanta (for some fortuitous reason I seem to know several of them) do state that Buddha nature (Buddha-dhatu or tathagata garbha) is nothing but Brahman. The way I understand it, Shunya refers to the lack of independent existence of phenomena that appear and disappear in awareness -- so shunya is really 'svabhÄva shunya'. Indeed to try and prove that awareness is also dependently originated is a ludicrous exercise as without awareness the exercise itself is pointless. I think if someone claims (usually half-baked Buddhists do that) that awareness is dependently originated, it can be empirically proven as an incorrect statement, since it is perfectly possible to stay aware in absence of any object.

What else is there to do, after being able to meditate on emptiness?
Marblehead replied to Phoenix3's topic in Daoist Discussion
Well, I have to give you credit for hanging in here with me and not taking anything I respond with as personal. Okay. In your dream you walk into a tree. When you wake up you have no pain from the encounter. During aware consciousness you walk into a tree and you will experience pain, maybe even a bloody nose. I have no idea whether or not a butterfly dreams. I doubt it even though we know that mammals other than humans do dream. Isn't it great how much latitude and longitude our thinking mind is allowed? Everything is relative. But I will suggest that if one's philosophy does not reflect reality as our feed our brain information then we should consider a different philosophy. If one's philosophy includes levitation and magic carpet riding I would suggest that one should try before buying. Yes, our brain determines what shape the clay is in. A ball? A beautiful woman? There really is a difference. But it is a Buddhist concept, not a Taoist concept. Emptiness in Daoism refers to the utility of what is empty - not that the item itself is empty of significance. Thanks. (That was easy to respond to.) Seems it is you who are hung up on the concept of emptiness. Hehehe. Empty of what? Action empty of intent. That means living spontaneously. It is my understanding that in Buddhist, the concept of emptiness is a support for the reduction of suffering. Elephants have ears. Agree. Okay. Sure, that generally how our brain works. But if I had never seen an elephant or seen a picture of an elephant I would have a very difficult time imagining what an elephant was until you started describing it. And you description would have to be with words that I can imagine physical reality against else I might think that the elephant you have in your garden looks like a porcupine. -
"In my dream, in my last morning-dream, I stood to-day on a promontory-- beyond the world; I held a pair of scales, and WEIGHED the world. Alas, that the rosy dawn came too early to me: she glowed me awake, the jealous one! Jealous is she always of the glows of my morning-dream. Measurable by him who hath time, weighable by a good weigher, attainable by strong pinions, divinable by divine nut-crackers: thus did my dream find the world:-- My dream, a bold sailor, half-ship, half-hurricane, silent as the butterfly, impatient as the falcon: how had it the patience and leisure to-day for world-weighing! Did my wisdom perhaps speak secretly to it, my laughing, wide-awake day- wisdom, which mocketh at all "infinite worlds"? For it saith: "Where force is, there becometh NUMBER the master: it hath more force." How confidently did my dream contemplate this finite world, not new- fangledly, not old-fangledly, not timidly, not entreatingly:-- --As if a big round apple presented itself to my hand, a ripe golden apple, with a coolly-soft, velvety skin:--thus did the world present itself unto me:-- --As if a tree nodded unto me, a broad-branched, strong-willed tree, curved as a recline and a foot-stool for weary travellers: thus did the world stand on my promontory:-- --As if delicate hands carried a casket towards me--a casket open for the delectation of modest adoring eyes: thus did the world present itself before me to-day:-- --Not riddle enough to scare human love from it, not solution enough to put to sleep human wisdom:--a humanly good thing was the world to me to-day, of which such bad things are said! How I thank my morning-dream that I thus at to-day's dawn, weighed the world! As a humanly good thing did it come unto me, this dream and heart- comforter!" "He who is not a bird should not build his nest over abysses." Both quotes are from Thus Spake Zarathustra by Friedrich Nietzsche

You are part of a dream ... however much of it becomes 'your dreaming' depends on how 'in sync' you are with the dream. The are projections from the dream. however much of it becomes 'your dreaming' depends on how 'in sync' you are with the dream. No. You cant . Its not 'you' that wakes up ... it is the dreamer.

Yeah i think thats interesting too. I've read that after practicing qigong lots some people say they don't dream and have deep sleeps. Not me though. I've been at a similar stage to you with my dreaming and i've practiced qigong alot in the recent years but i still dream. To me i have 3 different kinds of sleep, not relating this to any scientific REM or anything cos i haven't read up about it. 1. light sleep/dreamy sleep Easiest time for this is when i wake up in the morning after a good sleep, then fall back asleep again in a light sleep. Here i can dream very easily. If i wake up again i can even just kind of hold that dream there for a little bit while going to the toilet or something, then lay back down and continue the dream off from where it left off. 2. deep sleep Takes a while to get into but feel totally relaxed and since i'm not normaly a relaxed person when i wake up from this i feel so nice, refreshed and good. Usually don't remember these dreams, unless i've been practicing or i wake up in the middle of the night halfway through a dream. After a giant 14hr walk up and down a mountain or something it's easy to fall into this one. 3. light sleep After i do qigong this is typical, yet not only after qigong. I sleep but am easily woken up, don't feel totally relaxed, like i have too much energy to go into a deep sleep. Don't dream. Has your sleep quality changed apart from the dreaming since you've been doing qigong? Just something u can try doing in your dreams too. Flipping coins and making them land on the side that you want. When i could do that i knew i was really cooking with gas. Should have stuck with it but as i had less time to remember my dreams after waking the ability slowly dwindled.

Creativity and Sexual Energy are like husband and wife.
Michael Winn posted a topic in General Discussion
Creativity and Sexual Energy are like husband and wife. Together they are life's "secret sauce". I hope this will stimulate the flow of your creative juices.... Dear Lovers of Life's Creative Secret Sauce, In this letter I will share with you my three Simple Secrets of Creativity, and how they relate to the pulsing yin-yang forces of sexual energy. But first, let's notice how Nature itself is creative. I hope you had a wonderful summer and are already absorbing the Metal /Gold Element of Autumn. In Chinese thinking Fall season began on Aug. 6 and is will peak on Sept. 22 with the Fall Equinox. Please take the time to honor this powerful portal with your own Equinox Ceremony. I suggest you align to Nature's cycle with a focus on Letting Go of your resistance to change. Autumnal change is symbolized by leaves falling off the tree to expose the strength of its core trunk and branch structure. Autumn is time to shift focus from the rich sensory flowering of summer to turn inward, to our branch-like Qi meridians. Each season had its own special Creative Qi (or Chi, both pronounced "chee"). Nature shifts the quality of its creative force from season to season. Humans can do the same at any time, if they are tuned in. Metal season is great opportunity to discover your true creative strength. Michael Winn performs Red Fire Dragon of Souith Summer Solstice ceremony, at Healing Tao USA summer retreats near Asheville, N.C. Summer program first week's dates are planned to coincide with Nature's solstice cycle. I had a very creative, Qi-filled summer. In May we had a fantastic China Dream Trip. It stimulated creative response in the 30 Dream Trippers that made that journey of spiritual adventure. Folks are still writing to me about the creative changes in their life that are still unfolding as a result of our "eating" China's Deep Earth Qi using forms like Primordial Tai Chi/Qigong. The next Dream Trip will be in August 2016. We'll visit the Healing Tao's lineage root mountain, Mt. Changbai, where the Taoist hermits One Cloud and White Cloud spiritually achieved themselves. I found it was super easy to do internal alchemy when supported by Changbai's deep lake waters being alchemically steamed by the fire of an active volcano. The Qi Field itself was incredibly creative (If you want to get on my early notice list, hit reply to this newsletter, put China in subject line). Meditating around a simple floor altar at summer retreat on Medical & Spiritual Qigong Fundamentals 1-4. The methods in this course offer the major Qi circulation and grounding skills needed for nearly all creative Taoist energy work. Taoists Study the Life Force as Creative Process In June & July, many lucky folks enjoyed a virtual explosion of Creative Qi at Healing Tao University's 20 summer retreats. The Taoist energetic arts and sciences reveal an amazing range of creativity with every possible Qi application one could dream up. Qi for self-healing, medical Qi for healing others, alchemical Qi for longevity & immortality, sexual Qi for loving relationships, Tai Chi Qi for self-defense, Taoist Yoga Qi for relaxing and opening the body, Fusion Qi for managing negative emotions. That's just for starters - Qi is infinitely creative. It's the very medium of Creation. We had a new presenter at the retreats who was a big hit -- Michael Gelb. He's a world-famous author whose focus is Creative Qi itself. He's written fourteen books, mostly on creativity. Guess what he says is the secret sauce behind his own creative flow? Q-I-G-O-N-G. He's been studying qigong with many masters over the past 40 years. I loved Gelb's seminar. He felt like an "old soul brother" running on a parallel path that finally intersected with my own. He has left no stone unturned in his quest to maximize his creative enjoyment of life. But in the end, he came to the same conclusion that I did: if you want more Creative Qi in your life, doing qigong is one of the most effective places you can start. As you get good at qigong, everything in your life can become creative Qi Play. Gelb created a special "Leonardo da Vinci Qigong" to enhance creativity, which he shared with us - a very lovely form, and of course, very creative! This form is included in his new book, and shown for free on his site http://michaelgelb.com. His book is called Creativity on Demand: How to Ignite and Sustain the Fire of Genius. Michael Gelb's book is really about Qigong - available on Amazon This is a book that I would have been proud to have written myself. It's Gelb's magnum opus on creativity. He interviewed dozens of creative people for the book, including many qigong masters. This added fascinating breadth to his thesis that "creativity is a choice, not a special gift". Here's the testimonial I wrote for the book jacket of his new book: Michael Gelb belongs to my Curious Souls Tribe - no stone left unturned on his path. His conclusion? The secret sauce underlying ALL creativity is the medium of Qi, the Life Force itself. Creativity on Demand is his masterpiece, a guide to playfully shaping the Qi Field. His methods are fun, practical, and ingenious -- applicable by anyone - even if you think you already mastered tai chi or qigong. It will juice up the creative success of any healer, therapist, athlete, or entrepreneur and ground any spiritual seeker. It will clear the cobwebs for everyone - from couples seeking renewal, to a worker feeling life is a boring routine. Gelb unleashes the mystery of Creativity, frees it from the cabal of artists. He delivers it to anyone brave enough to read this book and open the flow of Creative Qi. - Michael Winn Gelb is a very thorough researcher. I was amazed at how many people in different fields he dug up who are using qigong to ignite and sustain the fires of their creativity in their profession. Mainstream therapists, life coaches, athletes, artists, many others. Simple Secret #1: Inner Smile Opens Space of Creative Play I got to experience his creative focus first hand. Gelb's interview with me for this book lasted over 3 hours, as he drilled deep into my creative process. He only had room to condense a few pages into his book about what I had to say. I told him one of my favorite Qi tools for enhancing creativity is the Inner Smile (on pages 92-93 of his book, if you are curious). I shared with Michael Gelb my three Simple Secrets of the Tao of Creativity. I summarize them here. The Inner Smile is the first secret. It is one of the simplest yet most creative forms of meditation ever discovered - there are literally an infinite number of ways to do it. It need never to get stuck, mechanical, dry and boring like many seekers I've met who sit for years, waiting in vain for total emptiness or enlightenment to smack them in the third eye. Many meditators feel like they somehow failed. Inner Smile is about process, not end goals. When you focus on process, there's never a failure, just the success of infinite learning. During our discussion of the Inner Smile, we discovered that we both share a love for the world's most famous painting -- Leonard da Vinci's Mona Lisa. Why is the Mona Lisa so famous? Because of her mysterious Inner Smile! Leonardo's Mona Lisa with the mystery of her soul's radiant Inner Smile. She's asking, "Can you feel who I truly am?". Contrast it with the modified Mona Lisa showing her personality's socially available Outer Smile. Which painting draws you IN more deeply? Which Mona feels spiritually more secure to you? The Outer Smile is our social self reaching out to test and secure psychological safety with people around us. These social connections are important, but very transitory. The Inner Smile is our soul's essence radiating its truth from the core of our Being. That permanent connection to our Deep Self is what we really live for. When we connect our ordinary mind to our soul, our Inner Smile lights up. That flips on the Creative Qi switch in our life. Gelb describes in his book the creative response of school kids when asked what Mona Lisa is smiling about. He got answers like "She knows the secret of what goes on between boys and girls". Gelb wryly notes that when he posed the same question to a conference of Wall Street types, he got the cynical remark that Mona Lisa's smile was the result of recent dental work. Kids vs. adults - very different types of creative play. I use the painting of Mona Lisa in my 120 page ebook, Way of the Inner Smile: Tao Path to Peace and Self-Acceptance. (If you don't have it, or lost it, please go back and signup again on my home page and download it for FREE from http://www.healingtaousa.com). It's never too late to activate your Inner Mona Lisa!!! You might even invite her to become your Creative Muse, as she smiles internally within you, blessing you to activate the flow of Creative Qi that is everyone's birthright. Simple Secret #2: Sexual Qi Boosts Our Creative Fire One of the things I confessed to Michael during our interview was how, in my youth, I perceived myself as "UN-creative". I was not born with any special talent. My brother David got all the music lessons. Yes, I was intellectually very bright. But internally, I considered that kind of smarts to be little more than a monkey-like cleverness, the ability to read something and feed it back to a teacher. My clever mind got me into an Ivy League school. But I when I graduated from Dartmouth with Senior Fellow honors, I still felt like a over-educated monkey without a creative bone in my body. The only time I felt truly creative was when I made love to a woman. S-E-X - now that felt to me like creative energy at its best. Love-making defined my highest creative moments, it was a kind of religious experience for me. But unfortunately sex was somehow mostly trapped at a deep unconscious level of biology - I could not quite reach into the root of its creative power. I didn't have the skill to link it up at will with my emotions, my thoughts, my power to manifest what I needed in life. Orgasm felt super spiritiual, but how to integrate it with my spiritual process? Later I moved to New York city and started a successful career in publishing. That started loosening my creative juices. I was also full of myself, as the youngest Publicity Director in the field. Then I got fired from my job. The reason my boss gave me? "You're too creative for this corporate world". That was actually flattering, given my negative self-image of feeling UN-creative. But she was right - I was not born to work for someone else. Today I am eternally grateful to my boss for firing me, and forcing me to move on. Thank you, Anna Borgerson. I soon became a free-lance war correspondent in Africa. My creative juices began to flow because my survival - both physically and economically - depended on it. Kundalini: Multi-dimensional Sexual Orgasm What kicked that creativity into higher spiritual gear was a kundalini awakening in Africa when I was 28 years old. The kundalini experience was a kind of whole-body orgasm. It was sex elevated to a cosmic level. It made me aware that creativity was a multi-dimensional affair arising from my soul. That my soul was generating the sexual energy that I needed to expand my awareness and creativity into all of my subtle bodies. It wasn't until I immersed myself in 1) Taoist qigong, 2) sexual energy cultivation practices with a partner, and 3) Taoist inner sexual alchemy meditation that I ultimately was able to sustain the creative flow of sexual Qi arising from the very root of my soul. This took me beyond my youthful obsession with physical sex. Learning how to tap my Sexual Qi was like pouring gasoline on the fire of my creativity. Thus the Taoist methods both sparked and sustained my experience of Creative Ignition. I realized that Taoist Internal Alchemy is essentially a process of capturing our sexual energy and putting it to highe work. It allows us to crystallize our biological impulses into a spiritually pulsating inner pearl, so we can ground our otherwise intangible soul. It's a method to make our soul both conscious and creative. The benefits flow into our worldly life and good physical health, as well as quickening our highest spiritual destiny. Now I cannot stop the creative flow of Qi (ever notice how long some of my newsletters are? . But how is this Taoist sexual-spiritual process different from ordinary artistic creativity? Artists are focused on outer expression, which directs them to tap into their inner psyche. But often they cannot sustain a balanced flow of creativity. Some exhaust themselves (deficient Qi) and feel blocked creatively. Others, like Van Gogh, go mad (excess Qi), and put it into destructive behavior. This is why many who achieve fame in film, sports, or politics cannot handle the intense Qi flow and try to disperse it with sex, drugs, or booze. Most artists don't have a scientific, i.e. systematic way to manage their Creative Qi. That's what qigong and inner alchemy meditation gave me - sustained harmony and balance while at the same time liberating the flow of sexual energy tranforming into Creative Qi. Everyone has a different destiny, meaning a different place to focus their qi flow. The creative challenge I've taken on is to explore the possibility of consciously creating a physical body in the Present Moment. Once we manage that, we've conquered death. It is this flow of sexually-charged Creative Qi that has sustained me over the past thirty years as I've evolved One Cloud's Internal Alchemy Formulas for Immortality, to make them accessible to Western adepts. Simple Secret #3: Flexible Energy Body = Youthful Physical Body I feel I've enjoyed some success. The qigong and sexual energy recycling practices have kept me young enough to enjoy starting a family. I've got the creative energy to consider having a second child (I turned 63 last week). I hope to accelerate my path of "reverse aging" now that I have an 8 month old expert teacher in Creative Play. Emerald is changing so fast that I have to dtop all rigidity in my Energy Body to match his level of play. Rigidity is what kills our adult Creativity and ultimately causes our physical death. A rigid Energy Body is caused by having fixed ideas, stuck emotional patterns, limiting physical movement habits and posture, fear of embracing novelty. All of these act as constrictions on the flow of Creative Qi between the spirit realm, our soul, and our physical body-mind. When our resistance to allowing new Qi to flow in becomes greater than our love of creating our Highest Destiny - we are ready to die. So please don't do IT. I mean don't slowly commit spiritual suicide by killing off the flow of your Creative Qi. Keep the juices flowing in whatever passion you pour your Qi into. Consider keeping your Creative Qi pump primed with a regular practice of Qigong. The especially brave will alchemically charge up their Creative Qi with that super fuel called sexual energy. My study of Taoist energy cycles inside our body, within the planet and Cosmos made it clear why people express their Highest Creavity in different ways. It's because they have very different elemental constitutions. A Fire Type will exhibit creative flair in a very different way from a deep feeling Water Type. An Earth Type will create beautiful gardens, a Metal Type will have a sharp and discriminating mind. Everyone has all five elements within themselves, and true creativity arises from their interaction. I highly second the recommendation of Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche's book The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep. Very concise book with practical exercises. Well,....as infinity is merely a mathematically term conjured up to make beliefs more palatable, you should probably let go of that fear. As I mentioned before,...most people fail to recognize that the foundation of a mathematical statement is only true in relation to the assumptions of "set theory," the assumption that any collection of objects actually exists. All objects, without exception, are indeed mathematical. The reason for that lies in the multiplying/dividing nature of the optically organized universe. However, the modern cosmological understanding of the universe suggests that no objects exist, indicating that mathematics pivots on a misguided belief in materialism. The sciences usually expound on relative reality through the assumption that object-ive reality actually exists. However, objectivism is based on objects, and those objects are no more real than last nightâs dream. Infinity is another voguish belief topic among the object-ive minded. Theories of infinite space, time, and quantity are just more object-ive math. Definitions of infinity are related or relative to the concept of immeasurability in space, time, or quantity. However, if there is no space, time, or quantity, as implied by quantum cosmology, then there is no infinity. In contrast, the word eternity points to that which is without beginning or end, timelessness beyond the perception of space, time, and quantity. Recognizing the difference between infinity and eternity is inevitable for those shifting towards an earnest spiritual viewpoint and subsequently a clearer understanding of consciousness. Time and eternity are contradictions. A belief in time perpetuates the dream as a dream. Eternity points to a timeless present in which the dream is just a dream and does not actually exist. Eternity is not a lie,...however, it lies only in the present. Wei Wu Wei said, "Phenomenally, we can know no present, as it must be in the âpastâ before our senses can complete the process of recording it, leaving only a suppositional past and future; noumenally, there is no question of âpastâ or âfuture,â but only a presence that knows neither âtimeâ nor âspace.â " There is no Present in Time. There is no phenomena beyond time.

Permanent retreat centre for Daobums and other motley crue cultivators
Nungali replied to Mandrake's topic in General Discussion
I already live on one . Well, that was sort of the original intention when the place was set up . It was supposed to be 'eclectic' , not specifically by definition but due to 'newageyness' which has eclectic sources. Then it got a bit 'culty' and that failed. Then it went through a period of being more eclectic. Its been through lots of periods and changes . There are many answers to your questions. Here it was originally set up by a group getting together from a discussion group that decided to make and live in such a 'center' . They outlined what they wanted and asked for it in a 'prayer of manifestation' , which was fulfilled . The legal set up was done a few times and was wrong and ill informed and a fantasy underlined by human failings and lack of knowledge , we have paid highly for that and it had repercussions into the future . All sorts o/f things happened, including a revolution and take over resulting in a handover to residents IF they could form a company with similar ideals and constitution. That was done, a company limited by grantee with the company holding land title and members of the company having the right to a house site to be able to build on. The land was originally bought by deposit ( donations of main part by a few people and smaller amounts by numerous ) and mortgage ( paid off by subsequent 'donations' / rental / fees of $30 a week - still the same amount and various fundraising, events and festivals ) the mortgage was paid off years back and funds accrued for various running costs and expenses (including tithing each week to the needy ) . The operation has changed over time; pre revolution it was by 'trustees' running a fake trust. Consisting of 'original idea people' that did not actually live there who wanted the people that did live there, and the place to work and operate like some fantasy of their imagination not grounded in the practically of living there . A lot of it was a screwed up dream and impracticable and unworkable . Hence the revolution. After that it operated by the company; the directors gave rights to vote to all the members and decisions where made at weekly community / company meetings , much of it was run on normal business model ; AGM, election of directors, etc . Since the land had been paid off, no shares where sold , we made an early strong decision NOT to be involved in land speculation ( but that does not stop the greedy human spirit that wants to 'own' - even from some of the people that supported the idea in the first place ) so house sites are not sold but given to members on approval. Membership is achieved by doing a trial period and getting a 90% vote of members for a prospective 1 year trial membership, then another 90% vote for full membership which allows one to have a house site there . The rules ? I will send a truck around with some documents Articles of association and by-laws of the company . Its not about the rules as such but how you either get people to keep them or enforce them . We get people coming here occasionally that want to start a ' intentional community ' or 'my own community' or ideas like you propose . 95% of the time, they are on their own trip and have no REAL interest in learning from our own experience ...but then again, most of the people that are here or have been through here have not got a clue about how to learn things like that . Its a nice fantasy .... but just wait until you try to implement it ! If you can get 1/20th through the initial stages , my hat would be off to you. All I see nowadays is ideas and talks and workshops and seminars about it ... no one actually DOING it .... getting in there and starting from scratch with a whole range of skills required and physical hard work .... you might get your hands dirty -
Love to , but heres just 2 , I need to go run an errand now . you have a dream of having a ton of cash in the bank. The dream is real but when you wake, you REALize its not true. Both the dream and the fact youre as broke as a circus clown are both true. The dream is an illusion and yet it exists because you perceived it . Anything that exists is real . a no thing is not real because it does not exist . Dude, I can give you an endess list , not just three. can you give me 1 example of how what I say is not true now ? a car is driving towards you from a distance. You see its a ford falcon. But when the car gets close to you you see it from all its sides its like hey WTH ? its only a photograph of the front of a ford falcon . Its really a chevy nova with a photograph of a ford on it . Both the photo of the car and the car are real things. the photo is an illusion and the car is real . When you see the photo , the illusion vanishes and now its all real .

The three realms and meditative quiescence, psychic powers.
goldisheavy replied to Tibetan_Ice's topic in Buddhist Discussion
Thought experiment time: Let's say 5 people witness you doing something amazing and they all agree that something happened. Then for various reasons they die and you no longer repeat your prior deed. Once the 5 people who saw you do something amazing die, their power of testimony dies with them. What is the status of the deed at that point? Is it an illusion? Is it real even though all the people who could testify to it are now gone? Is your own memory of those 5 people agreeing that you've done something amazing itself the testimony required? Even assuming the 5 people each left their testimony in writing before they died, without them being alive to defend their written words from critics and doubters, what power will such testimony have? Won't that power wane with time? Even when consensus is widely shared it doesn't seem to have a lot of stability. For example, look what happened when classical physics got displaced by the quantum-relativistic physics. Classical physics is now more like a distant memory rather than something we consider real. Nobody thinks atoms are like billiard balls anymore. That's gone. But at one point everyone agreed that atoms were like tiny little balls. And now what? So even if many people agree your powers are "the real deal" so to speak, how reliable is that? Public opinion is not guaranteed to be constant. For whose (or for what) benefit is such testimony? Please don't get me wrong, I think involving other people into the world of greater possibility is a fun thing to do. I am all for it. I'm just saying that the issue of testimony and objectivity is not so clear cut once I think about it deeper. I've had a lucid dream once where I reached out my hand to another dream character, and by doing this I was able not only fly myself, but to have this dream character fly with me. In the context of that dream, that was basically objective proof of my flying ability. When I woke up, the character who could testify for me and my objective proof were gone. Even if you convince everyone on Earth that you have genuine psychic power, where will that crowd of people be once you die? Will these folks follow you to the next life and offer their testimony there too? I think that's doubtful. -
I also like dreams and over the past two weeks have had a couple which I have really enjoyed. Dream 1. I was on a number 82 bus(familiar bus)into Garston, and exited the bus at the stop where Garston swimming baths used to be. I then entered what appeared to be a train station on the outside, but when I entered the building it changed into a sports complex. I then went through a number of changing rooms, the final one is where I met an elderly Tibetan Lama who was training a 59 yr old grandmother with anger issues; he was training her to do a gymnastic routine, she seemed pleasant as she spoke briefly with me. Then the Tibetan Lama came over to me and we had a most enjoyable conversation about the Oneness of It All. I had the feeling that we were old friends. Wish I could remember more of what we spoke about! I woke up in a really pleasant and uplifting mood. Dream 2. I was in a house with my wife and her sister. I went upstairs and entered a bedroom, I went over to a chest of drawers and opened the top drawer. In the drawer were a number of esoteric books but before I could open one of the books a mystical man of Indian appearance appeared in front of me. So I was unable to check what the contents of the book/s were. We spoke for a while but I can't remember what was said. As for the meaning of your dream, as has already been said you'll have to probe deeper into the symbols that appeared in your dream. Spend time in meditation and all will be revealed.

Oh, CT, you are talking about the spirit of the Buddhist teaching??? What have you accomplished so far relating to this spirit?? I can tell you what I have experienced. It was a dream. I dream of Mexican families being displaced by the Trump presidency. Homes destroyed and emptied out, abandoned. They were all forced to live in shadows and in the underground. As I was told in my dream, all of the families are connected to this underground place. I saw and heard women and infants crying. This place was packed and crowded. I sensed suffering and distress. On the wall, I saw pictures of crying African American children. I was somewhat shocked and horrified of what I saw in this vision. For every single US presidency since Bush and his Iraq war, I had visions of their legacies. I hope I am wrong. Otherwise, millions of Mexican families in America will be displaced by the Trump presidency. That's the Buddhist spirit and to have affinity to human suffering...not an affinity to a fool like Karl.... His ego would have to learn its place in this world and is not my job to save his ass...Let Kali deals with him. Buddhist spirit???? Hehehehe..... Oh dear...... -
Jen Wu (sp?) and the Five Dragons
Wu Ming Jen replied to Alchemical Walrus's topic in Newcomer Corner
One day the Jade Emperor was in heaven when all of a sudden he saw, far away, below the clouds, five colored beams of light shooting up from earth to heaven. He was very surprised and asked his prime minister âWhat is this? Can you go take a look?â The prime minister went to the edge of the clouds, and looked down to the earth. He came back and reported: âThe five streams of light come from a golden tree on Wu Dang Mountain in China. They are the spirits of the five elements. When they beam up the power of harmony is shooting straight through the universe all the way to heaven.â "Wow," the Jade Emperor said, âI have all the treasure of the universe, but Iâve never seen this light. I should go look at that.â At that moment, ego and desire stirred in his chest, one of his 99 souls separated from him and went into a Queenâs belly to become a baby. The Queen's baby was Prince of the pure happiness kingdom. He was very powerful and very smart. He knew all the books, wrote poems, and was interested in alchemy. At 14 years old, the Prince didnât want to become the next ruler of the kingdom. So he rode off to Wu Dang Mountain to cultivate alchemy and immortality. He had heard that Wu Dang was mystical and knew that Wu Dang had this golden tree. When the Prince saw the beautiful and powerful tree and saw the light beaming from it, he got off his horse and started to kneel down to pray to the tree. But the Prince's soul was the Jade Emperor's and when the Five Elements in the Tree saw that the Jade Emperor had come to kneel down they were scared and ran off to the edges of the universe as they could not have him kneel to them. They disappeared to the five corners of the universe. The Prince spent 42 years in Wu Dang Mountain cultivating and meditating. He was so dedicated to the art he didn't realize that he had accomplished the Tao and had become immortal. Meanwhile, 42 years on earth was equivalent to 4.2 days in heaven. And while the soul of the Jade Emperor was not complete, his heavenly work was not being done. The heavenly immortals and gods wanted his soul back so that the Jade Emperor could be complete to administer heaven and keep it in order. So they got together with Kuan Yin Lao Mu to come up with a plan of how to bring him back. Kuan Yin Lao Mu came to his dream one night and said to him, "There is a bell by the cliff. If you can throw a coin through the large coin that hangs in front of it and hit the bell three times, that means that you have a common affinity with the Tao and you can accomplish immortality." When he woke up from the dream he thought that with all of his training he should easily be able to do that. So the next day he came to the cliff. He picked up three coins and threw one, two, three, but all three times failed; he could not hit the bell. He thought, "Well, my common affinity with the Tao must be gone, I must have no common affinity." But after forty two years he was so disappointed he decided to leave the mountain. He came to a platform to comb his hair. All of a sudden Kuan Yin Lao Mu, disguised as a young beautiful lady, showed up and said, "Can I comb your hair? I'm lost in the mountains and I'm afraid I am being chased by tigers and animals. I want to stay with you. I can marry you. You can protect me here." But he said "I have spent forty-two years in the mountain cultivating Tao and I have never had a woman around, nor have I ever been touched by a woman. So although I don't have a common affinity with the Tao, I still do not want anything to do with women." The lady started crying and said, "I'm alone and I'm insecure here. You don't want me and I have nowhere to go." She ran to a high cliff and jumped, plunging down to the bottom. The Prince said, "I have no common affinity with the Tao, but in the Tao they say that if somebody dies for you, you have to pay with your life. She died for me, and I have nothing to give but my life." So, he ran to the cliff and launched himself off. As soon as he plunged down, five dragons of different colors appeared and held him in the clouds. He turned his head to look and there was Kuan Yin Lao Mu standing in the cloud. Finally he understood that he had become immortal already. The heavenly carriage came, the heavenly music played and the dragons and phoenix flew around, and took him up to heaven. His one soul went and reunited with the Jade Emperor's so that the Jade Emperor was complete again. The Jade Emperor said the Prince was such a good warrior that he gave him the title Zhen Wu, Truth Warrior. He put Zhen Wu in charge of 300,000 heavenly troops and of sweeping negativity and evil out of the universe every Wednesday and Sunday. Zhen Wu is also called Xuan Tian Shang Di, Mystical Black Heaven God, and is one of the eight gods residing in the north or black direction. He is also known as the Big Dipper god and is in charge of the Big Dipper Palace or northern heaven. He administers the north direction in cooperation with the Jade Emperor. Zhen Wu has both titles: scholar and warrior, True Warrior. September 9th of the Chinese Lunar Calendar is the day the Prince jumped off the cliff and the day that he went back to heaven, accomplished the Tao, and became the immortal Zhen Wu. Every year on Chinese lunar September 8th a very special ceremony is held in Wu Dang to celebrate this day of accomplishment. On lunar September 9th there is a special ceremony morning, noon and evening to celebrate and pray for peace for the world. Lunar September 10th is one more continuous day of ceremony. This three day event attracts 20,000-30,000 people from China and the world to Wu Dang to celebrate. This year (2008) Chinese lunar September 9th falls on October 7 so October 6, 7, 8 are special days for celebrating Zhen Wu's accomplishment. Lunar September 9 is also the day Zhang San Feng, the Wu Dang Tai Chi creator, became immortal, and in Wu dang we celebrate both events on this day. I hope that someday you can come to Wu Dang on Lunar September 9th, to celebrate this huge event. -
Its funny how we talk on this forum about 'humility' yet we are all bowing our heads to the most arrogant group of misguided idiots. Objectivism wouldn't suit the types that believe that it's only a matter of getting people to 'believe' in their debauched pragmatism, in order for it to work. If they just keep telling people it will work, then it will, and it's only the people's lack of belief and constant questioning that is stopping it from being so. It's that old adage 'build it and they will come' from the idiots guide to running a business. Most people are half way between altruist and hedonist which is a million light years from where they should be. They are immoral, unethical and mostly down right bloody evil. The worst are the technocrats running the show who haven't a grain of rationality, never did anything productive and rely of political pull to make their living. They went to the best schools, lived priviliged lives in the shelter of academia or micro political bubbles. They learned Keynesian economics and the Hegelian dialectic, they believe they are omniscient; that they are the only ones who can run the system, that they were born to it and no one else-especially the free market or indibpviduals-can be trusted. They run it like a university, with a vast bureacracy of buildings, paper and people marking out the great dream they believe. The bigger the dream, the bigger the bureacracy and the construction becomes a concrete edifice of the power of their dream and ambition. The humility they require is to see that this vast, sprawling edifice has not been created by their hands, but by the production of the people they are robbing blind in order to build it. "We built a tower of stone, with our flesh and bone, just to see him fly, so many died" "We watched him fall, now what will we do"

How do you get more qi?
voidisyinyang replied to Old Man Contradiction's topic in General Discussion
Actually telepathy and telekinesis are under-rated in the West. The terms are bandied about but the actual skill is very rare. Sure there are "synchronicities" and there's "intuition." I mean I regularly get thoughts of events which occur to me a few minutes before they happen in real time. That might be considered precognition. But once I had a dream which was so vivid I immediately wrote it down in detail while writing I thought it would predict the future. Sure enough, long after I forgot the dream, THREE YEARS LATER -- the dream came true in minute detail -- and such strange associations there's no way it was a coincidence. Anyway real telepathy -- at a stabilized level -- only happens where there's very strong electromagnetic fields emanating from the middle of the brain -- the pineal gland. So when you have telepathy you exist within this field of energy which is really strong. People around you will be reacting strongly to your energy -- there's no way you can have this without making people be strongly affected -- because the electromagnetic fields are healing as well. I had telepathy and telekinesis after I did the 8 day fast taking only half a glass of water. Precognition is a samadhi vision -- so if you have a dream that is more real than being awake and then a few days later the dream is experienced in "real time" while being awake -- I call this "Glitches in the Matrix." It's a freaky experience because you realize that being awake is actually just another dream state. Still it takes practice to know when it has happened in real time -- when you've had a vision of the future. Even if you don't know that it will happen in the future when it DOES happen then it's not new so you can react much more calmly. Pretty nice. So the vision can be in deep meditation or in an visionary dream. The question is -- why does it happen? Is our life predetermined? How could minute details of our life be predicted three years in advance? The answer is that the ability to have precognition -- to travel in time into the future -- is based on the ability to delve very very deeply into our subconscious desires. Think of it in reverse -- it's easy to see how we've grown or learned from the past -- how something happened that we didn't understand and then only later we figured it out. So we've changed but in fact our future was SUBCONSCIOUSLY the means to solve our past. So in meditation we are solving our future -- ahead of time so to speak. It doesn't mean our future will be different necessarily but it does mean that when the future does happen it will have "double" impact -- it will reinforce the fact that the truth is neither the past nor the future, rather instead the "always already" -- the infinite consciousness beyond time.
