  1. OK, thank you for all the advice. Looking up Byron Katie. How does one do a ritual cord cutting? So it really is OK for me to just wrap up my stuff and abandon them? Taking just enough to live comfortably. Not just leaving with the clothes on my back. As far as my possessions, I have moved a number of times. I just throw away or give away things of no value. I might have more than I need. but I want to keep what I have. It gives me a reason to come back someday, pick everything up, and take it to my new home. It is the motivation that keeps the dream alive, finding a place of my own, coming back, getting my stuff, moving away, only this time I have a place to move to. A place of my own. Without that anchor the dream may just die, and me along with it. Probably doesn't make a lot of sense, but there it is. For example, some of the books I have and am keeping are things I wish to pass on to my children. If I throw those things out, it's, to me, like giving up on having children of my own. Throwing out all my stuff is equivalent to giving up on establishing my own home, my own place in the world. Maybe it makes more sense now? Because I am bicycling and have small-medium sized panniers as well as a weight limit, I am already down to the bare minimum. Just a few clothes, a hiking stove and cook set, my hammock, rainfly and mosquito neck, straps, rope, a few books, my nook HD, some wirebound notebooks, personal care items, bedding and a few other things. Will be paring down as I pack. I think I will get started tonight maybe. I think it will help to have the bike packed up, ready to go in a moment's notice.
  2. Question about breath retention

Well let’s see I forget what color pill does what but after taking a nap and in the dream eating ribs like a wolf and waking up chewing in my sleep I am avoiding the asshole with the pill that leads to slop in a can. Gotta get ribs tonight looking at pictures of meat has awakened the inner cave man!!
  3. What happens to suicides?

Be strong friend. And let me quote a spanish poet: "What is life? A frenzy. What is life? An illusion, a shadow, a fiction; and the greatest good is small; that all life is a dream, and dreams are dreams." Hope it helps
  4. What happens to suicides?

Would it not be better to find a spiritual centre or even an intentional community and go live there for a while, and see how it is. Society as it is does have the feeling of having no meaning, but that's just a terribly bad dream it keeps pumping out. These other places provide shelter and time and space, where you can come back to your right mind. It is worth trying such things. It is difficult to say more without knowing people's personal circumstances, but sure when I look out into the media world and see so many bad things, well that feels like suicide right there. But the world itself seems fine, apart from the dark movie mankind seems to like telling itself. Anyway best to try some other options.
  5. Transgender Problem

:The real reason for all this TG hoop la: American Thinker May 13, 2016 Escape from Obama's transgender school bathrooms By Daren Jonescu Barack Obama's transgender regime has officially carried its demands for your child's compliance with sexual deviancy to the level of an imperial directive: Public schools must permit transgender students to use bathrooms and locker rooms consistent with their gender identity, according to an Obama administration directive issued amid a court fight between the federal government and North Carolina. The guidance from leaders at the departments of Education and Justice says public schools are obligated to treat their transgender students in a way that matches their gender identity, even if their education records or identity documents indicate a different sex. The Department of Justice, which apparently now means primarily "social justice," aka cultural Marxism, is joining the Department of Education – a thoroughly anti-constitutional entity the continued existence of which represents the greatest failure of the Reagan presidency – to complete American compulsory schooling's true, original, and essential mission: the reduction of the population to a confused, helpless mass of spiritually unindividuated "worker units" for the benefit of a permanent corporate-political ruling elite. The sudden (but long anticipated and well prepared) drive for transgender bathrooms in public facilities is part of progressivism's final assault on modesty and personal privacy. Train children from an early age that sexual behavior is a harmless physical gratification, no more important than scratching an itch; teach them that there are no consequences of sexual activity that cannot be prevented or "taken care of" with a visit to the doctor; teach them that marriage and family are mere lifestyle choices not at all different from any other, and in no essential way related to the erotic impulse; and teach them that nothing but the old-school morality of racists, sexists, and homophobes stands between their bodily urges and a dream world of polymorphous pleasures – teach children all of that, and you have destroyed the soul of man, sapped a generation of its vital energy, and dried up the primary sources of civility, personal responsibility, and moderation. Advanced progressives for a century have known two things with perfect certainty: (1) that delayed gratification, sexual modesty, and in general self-restraint are the chief moral obstacles to the compliant, state-dependent collective required of democratic socialism (i.e., populist totalitarianism); and (2) that government-controlled schools are their ace in the hole, the progressive poison in the civic well that ensures that, in spite of all private resistance, the population will eventually, gradually, succumb to materialism and amorality. Here's a prediction that I am very confident in making: thousands of parents who are shocked and disgusted at the thought of their young daughters being forced to share a shower room with boys are going to be in for an even bigger shock when their daughters mock their concern with "what's the big deal, Dad? I mean, it's just bodies, after all!" This transgender assault is being pursued now because generations have been prepared for it. They have been prepared in public schools, which teach – both in explicit lessons and, more importantly, through their social structure – that sexuality is "no big deal," that modesty is for prudish grandmothers, that sexual differentiation is sexist. Eros – nature's delicate thread linking our bodily urges to our essential purposes, our souls to the stars, our petty existence to being and eternity – is being deliberately snipped, in order to leave us stranded on this earth, with no hopes or aspirations beyond immediate physical comfort and pleasure. In other words, nihilism. Men left stranded on earth, without a sense of the divine, including the divine spark within themselves, are primed for a material savior, a new divinity to replace the one toward which Eros and nature had previously pointed us. They are ready, willing, and eager to submit to the State. Nothing less than that – creating the moral (or rather amoral) platform for progressive authoritarianism – is the true significance of Obama's imposition of transgender bathrooms in public schools. Though inherently absurd, this absurdity is an indication of how far the progressives know they have traveled toward their ultimate goal. The good news, for those still able to hear it, is that the solution to this final degradation is both available and actually quite obvious. Get your children, your children's children, and your friends' children out of public school now, and keep them out. If thinking of your nation's girls and boys being submitted to this degradation – and even worse, thinking of them learning to accept this degradation – is not enough to shake you out of your well-trained adherence to the fool's dream of "improving the public schools," then perhaps you are unreachable. If, on the other hand, these thoughts are able to move you, then it is beyond time to get serious about unraveling America's, and the entire world's, most insidious entitlement program: public education. (If you are in this latter group, stay tuned! I'll be explaining all of this – what public education is, how it came to be, what it causes, and what to do about it – in my book, The Case Against Public Education, coming very soon.) On a personal level, the immediate solution, for most families, is fairly simple. It does, however, require long-term commitment, a lot of mental effort – and a genuine love for your children and grandchildren that supersedes petty concerns about practical inconvenience and reduced income potential. If you understand that hearing a thirteen-year-old girl say, "What's the big deal? It's just bodies!" is the Rubicon progressive totalitarians have been aching to cross, and that they are literally months away from crossing it on a nationwide scale, then is there really anything left to debate about?
  6. The trees reach for the sky just as flame rises from a log. If viewed as a super duper time lapse a forest might look a lot like a green fire, or a seething foam. Energy progressing to ever finer densities. What will you do as a body of light? Can a fish dream of walking on land? Entry to the mysterious pass is inherently strewn with wonder.
  7. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

It has always been my understanding that alterations to the "self" are multi-dimensional. It has been five months since the re-start of regular practice for me, and I have watched my life transform before my eyes. Some fundamental erroneous beliefs have been dismantled and I feel as if I am emerging from mental incarceration. I have now internalised some truths regarding the way I want to live my life and I am finally emancipating myself. Before, I would implement changes because my head told me to, even if my heart did not understand. Now the two seem to be in synch. I still maintain firmly that had it not been for my practice, I would not possess this clarity. I am also happy to say that my dream incubation ability has been re-activated. I am able to consult and draw results. I am getting many environmental confirmations and echoes of my life situation, what I normally call synchronicities, so I know I am on my true path. as Nelson Mandela said, it is a long walk to freedom! I would like to hear from other practitioners who feel that the practice of FPCK has mobilised events and ignited a deeper connection with their life path.
  8. I'm finding an interesting bit of growth in the area of peace with the onset of guru yoga, as spoken of in Steve's teacher's book on Dream Yoga. (Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche - 'The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep'). i had never had exposure to Guru Yoga until reading that book. But not too long ago, I did read the Flower Adornment Sutra, and found a boddhisatva by the name of Flower Glow, whom I greatly identified with for some reason. I just noted that I had some of his/her qualities on a good day, I felt the connection - which may explain why I spent so long struggling to get through that Sutra. Flower Glow didn't come along until close to the end. Comes now Flower Glow. But not until the end. But I have internalized that entity, and I am allowing him to live within me. When I am in Awareness during the day and not caught up in the maya of a situation, I feel his presence, I know what he looks like. He has a man-bun, he wears no shirt, he has drawstring pants and no shoes. He is so very clear to me. And he shows up in dreams as a white dragonfly, leading me through a garden or some place. I wasn't much of a dreamer at all until I cut back on the chemicals, and now they're coming fast and furious. I bring this up because I can see what a useful tool Guru Yoga can be. Very powerful. And during this process of chemical elimination from my body, it is making all the difference in the world. I highly recommend it, BES - a real shortcut, it seems - if there are days when the anxiety gets a little overbearing.
  9. Rainbow body is specific, linked to lineages, practices and traditions and was actually addressed in @thelerner's post that you summarily dismissed. I would suggest starting with the guru yoga and Ngondro of a lineage, followed by "intermediate practices" - such as the Six Lokas, and perhaps dream yoga. But I highly suspect this isn't what you want to hear You seem to have a pocketful of stones that you're quite happy to skip across the water yourself. You could simply start a new thread with your query in the New Comer Corner.
  10. Its a sign of modern disconnection from ourselves, or deeper parts of ourselves at least. Anthropologists around the world have noted how vivid many tribal peoples dream lives actually are, where a big deal is made out of dreams and their messages. For most of us though dreams are 'unimportant', so we may have cycles of some dream activity followed by quiet, or seemingly none at all. Fortunately this is fairly easy to correct. Keep a dream diary, and even if you don't have one you remember, still write that down. Start conversations in the morning based on last night dreams and so on... All this tells your deeper being/unconscious that you are starting to value dreams and you will thus start to remember them more. Other alternatives would be taking dreaming herbs, or experimenting with something like ritual magick or shamanism. Its strange but interacting with 'archetypal' energies and their various symbolic depictions is extremely activating to the unconscious mind, and will start to trigger all kinds of strange night events... Seth.
  11. Objectivism 101

Part 6 the senses as necessarily valid. Metaphysics from the objectivist viewpoint is highly delimited. It identifies only facts and not particular existents or to guide men to goals. This is different from epistemology-the science studying the nature and means of human knowledge. Human knowledge, though based on sensory perception is conceptual in nature. On the conceptual level consciousness is neither automatic or infallible; it can and does err, distort and depart from reality (through ignorance or evasion). Man must therefore discover a method of cognition-unlike animals. He must learn to use his mind to distinguish truth from falsehood and to validate conclusions. Before getting to conceptual knowledge we need to cover sense perception and volition. Since concepts, according to objectivism, are integrations of perceptual data, there can be no concepts apart from sense experience. There are no innate ideas. Consciousness begins tabula rasa (a blank slate); all concepts are derived from sensory evidence. If the senses are invalid then so are concepts. If one can put no trust in the senses, then thinking is worthless. The validity of the senses is an axiom. Like the fact of consciousness, the axiom is outside the province of proof because it is a precondition of proof. Proof consists of reducing an idea back to the data provided by the senses. These data are the foundation of all subsequent knowledge and precede any process of inference. They are primaries of cognition and are self evident. The validity of the senses is not an independent axiom; it is a corollary of the fact of consciousness. If the senses are not valid, neither are concepts, including those used in any attack on sense validity. The senses merely respond to stimuli acting upon them, making us aware that something exists. We are not aware of what they are, merely that the are. "The task of the senses" writes Rand "is to give evidence of existence, but identification belongs to reason-only that something is, not what it is, this must be learned by the mind". A stick in water appears bent is not a perceptual error. It is a testament to sense reliability. The senses do not censor their responses they respond in full context of the facts including that light travels through water at a different rate than air. Our senses do not of course identify all facts, constituents, compounds, atomic and electrical forces at work within entities, but it does provide a first form of grasping which will later lead to scientific discovery. Science is the unraveling of sensory data and has no other data on which the proceed. Conceptualisation involves an interpretation that may not conform to reality. Therefore someone can "think about nothing" I.e nothing real such as a perpetual motion machine, demonic possession or Santa clause, but the senses sum up what is. Once the mind has aquired a certain content of sensory material. It can then contemplate its own content such as dreams. This isn't sense perception at all, but a process of turning inwards, made possible in the first instance by the individual having perceived them first through the senses. There is no difficulty in differentiating dreams from perception. The concept of a dream has meaning only because it denotes a contrast to waking awareness. If a man were not able to recognise wakefulness, the word 'dream' would be meaningless to him. A difference in sensory form amongst observers-something brought up many times by Brian-is precisely that: it is a difference in the form of perceiving the same object, the same one reality. Such a difference does not pertain to cognitive content and does not indicate a disagreement between different parties viewing the same reality. The senses of a man with normal vision, do not contradict those of a colour blind man. When the former says the object is red, he means in reason "it is an object in reality of a specific nature, such that, when it acts on my senses, I percieve it as the colour red". It is true when the colour blind man describes it as a shade of grey . Neither statement conflicts with the other. Both men percieve what is in a specific form. Neither can anyone come to a different conclusion about the nature of the object. In this respect, differences in sensory form DO NOT matter. They have no consequences as regards cognition. A blind man and a sighted man do not come up with different theories of physics despite the differences. No type of sense perception can register everything. A is A and any perceptual apparatus is limited. By virtue of being able directly to discriminate one aspect of reality, a consciousness cannot discriminate some other aspect that would require a different kind of sense organs. Whatever facts the senses do register, are facts. These facts eventually lead the mind to the rest of its knowledge.
  12. De-Switch Your Brain

My interest for something similar came from a therapeutic effect called EMDR psychiatrists use for ptsd patients. I think people are told to focus on a specific emotion and idea that they call the traumatic event memory, then allow their mind to naturally think its way trough this memory while moving the eye balls from left to right. This eye movement somehow processes traumatic events in more useful ways allowing the patient to still remember the trauma but have its value reduced by atleast 70%, often more. It is pretty amazing, because this kind of physical things change the actual hardwiring of the brain or chemistry. Removing the root of the problem, the most significant and earliest trauma, will allow all the other problems to fade away like leafes of a broken tree. The video here reminded me of that. It seems similar to the effects of the eye movements in EMDR technique, My personal experience on this is that we can also just stay as present as possible, trough the use of the 5 senses and then observe our selfs through this present mindset, as if we are the starring character of the movie we call life. In cheap words: increase you awareness. As Taoist put it better then I ever could: "Deal with the past by using the present" or something similar. Notice that how you are emmediatly distracted and carried away into this imaginary dreamland of the past and future the moment you try to think about your memories. There is the ability to recall any moment in your life and still stay present, but it will require little effort on your part to keep yourself present trough the use of the 5 senses. One complex concept I made to help me with this is trying to "observe your perceptions". It's pretty deep, but it really keeps you as present and aware as possible. Works better for me, plus the amount of lucidity you get during sleep dreaming is tremendous this way. This does not cause direct happiness, but it reduces sadness, anger and fear by 70%. Sometimes it is scary how cool you can be. People will get confused and think you are not paying attention, but they're soon proven wrong given your strong energy and respone time when you are absolutely grounded in the present moment. Don't even need to process trauma's or anything like emdr or do weird movements like in the video. This de-switching your brain is not possible with some quick technique but will require some practice I think. Like the practice of "observing your perceptions." I got the concept from my lucidity practice. Recognizing our dreams, we can wake up or continue dreaming with this higher awareness. In dreams, everything is in us. Recognizing the dream in our waking life is a much more dificult one. We often confuse the environment for being the dream, while in a dream your own idea of the environment makes that dream. changing this idea changes the environment. In waking life things are diffrent. Your ideas can change, but the environment is not in your head so it will not directly effect the environment. But all of your perceptions of the environment is in your head. Only your personal reality might change. That is how I made the concept of "observing your perceptions." Where perceptions might be your own ideas and believes of everything, including the things in the environment. When you can see your self being afraid of spiders, you will laugh at yourself, literally. You might even challenge yourself to see what will happen, just for the curiousity of self-exploration. Many people think they're observing themself, but are they really? Are you really? Did you notice you're behind a screen? Where are you sitting on. When did you loose awareness of these perceptions. When you started reading this or earlier perhaps? How does it feel to sit here, how does it smell, taste. Can you observe what you perceive from the corner of your eye and how it is perceived compared to the center of your vision? All these things are gold for increasing awareness, changing brain chemistry, stimulating self-regulating brain parts, etc. TYou'll have to notice the benefits for yourself. It is not a pushbutton kind of technique, neither is it the coolaid.
  13. I am posting this with thanks to whoever led me to this web sit where after reading the following I finally understand the difference between dual and non dual. Dual consciousness 'An occultist learns through self-control and discipline to work on two planes at once: to be partly out of his body even as he is working on the physical plane, so that while he is writing or speaking, he may be doing other things with his astral body. When such is the case with an occultist, little need be said of a full-blown jnani who is resting in his own swarupa, essential nature. A jnani has dual consciousness. He has consciousness of Brahman as well as of the world. He sees the world as a dream within himself. A jnani is always in samadhi. There is no ‘in samadhi’ and ‘out of samadhi’ for a jnani like that for a raja yogi.' http://www.yogamag.net/archives/2009/bfeb09/jivan.shtml
  14. Electric Cars : A Myth ?

My 2005 Prius is still going strong, still getting in the 40's mph. Course it runs mostly on gas, the real savings are its lightweight and aerodynamic. Other savings are it cuts off the engine at stops, and at very low speeds and when 'feathering/slowing' down its goes full electric and you see the mph go up to 100 mph plus. My minivan is $55 to $65 to fill up, the prius is under $20, and it gets near twice the mileage. Good to have both though. Electric cars have there problems, but the modern incarnation is only a decade or so old. I expect them to evolve and get better. Innovation has to start somewhere. Our neighbors have a Tesla and the tech and ride are amazing. There is a boondoggle side to them (subsidies, heavy metals) though. But I expect as they evolve they'll get better. Any new car design, especially by an new company is gonna have massive inefficiencies. Cars being so complicated. The dream of a future of having a house with high efficiency solar coming from roof & windows, great insulation, batter storage, high efficiency appliances and an electric car that holds way more juice then they currently do (ie true breakthrough in battery tech) then you've got a true world saver. We're definitely not there, but to get there we need step$ along the way. We're past the baby step, maybe preteen but if it grows to its potential, that'd be great. Gasoline is dirty, we're using millions of gallons daily (about 384.7 million!!, just US) and it won't last forever (unless we learn to make it, and even if it was fricken water we use soo much of it, anything other then sunlight would be problematic)
  15. ...

What about when you came in your dream? Normally that's when I would wake up and realize that that part wasn't just a dream, lol... What would be interesting to me is if I could come in my dream...but not in real life at the same time. Basically show some dream/reality disconnect. Although, I guess retaining in the dream and real life both would be a good step too.

  17. Now never comes

I'm enjoying it too, Wayfarer... and thanks to all for thoughts and feelings shared! And, Michael, thanks for your "great truth!" Here's what I meant by sleep-walking. I was learning how to lucid-dream at one point and since I had no one to teach me this particular skill in person, I read all I could on the subject (that's how I usually read when a subject interests me -- total immersion for a while, then let all the red -- um, black -- dust settle for a while... and then what settles usually contains what I need... alas, it often means the names of authors and titles of books have completely dissolved! ) -- so, what I gleaned from the best-presenting sources was that the way to learn to lucid-dream with intent that will make it possible to affect the waking reality from inside the dream is to become very aware of one's physicality and reality in the waking state. This seems to be the prerequisite, THE door that can help one take one's tangible reality into one's dream and back without losing touch with it, instead of drifting aimlessly in a dream world you can't call your own because you don't maintain a home there, have no lasting relationships there, and can't deliberately make things happen "here" by acting "there." So... there was this French guy who researched and then practiced and then taught lucid dreaming for a long time, and he suggested the following practice. Every time you pass through a door, any door -- another room, in or out the house, the bathroom, the classroom, the office, the supermarket, the car -- pause, touch the passage with your hand, feel your hand, feel the passage, feel your whole body -- and ask yourself a clear question: "AM I DREAMING?.." This helps one catch oneself "sleep-walking" through parts of his or her life... if not all of it... all the passages, changes, transformations... doors we don't notice... this is one technique, out of a few good ones, that teaches one to notice... and wake up. So then when you can, first and foremost, tell the difference between when you're dreaming and when you're awake, this makes you "more real" in BOTH states... for they are different realities and mustn't be de-differentiated unconscously. By the way, in one of Castaneda's books, he asserts that Don Juan taught him to remain conscious in his dreams by continuously looking at his hands with his mind's eye when going to sleep. Again this seems to be about taking one's physicality into the dream state in order to be able to consciously act there. (By the way, it is very difficult to do...) So, basically, I meant that I touch doors and catch myself before I drift outta my body without noticing. If I do want to enter a space-time where the whole of my physical body can't follow, I at least try to make as much of it follow as I possibly can (e.g., the vital signs I mentioned -- they will match where my mind is taking my body, and I will be aware of it. More often, though, it's vice versa, i.e. my body can take my mind elsewhere in space-time... the smell of burning moxa does it to me every time, e.g. ...and a whole bunch of other physical things.)
  18. When I received transmission for dream practices, I had a very powerful vision (a rare event for me). It was a bit complex but at one point I felt and saw myself being outfitted in armor and with a weapon as a dream warrior. There is no greater battle than that with our ignorance.
  19. A closer look at candle-gazing meditation

Interesting information, I had not heard it rationalized as such before. Makes sense. Anyway here is a personal answer; I began daily candle gazing as advised by an old teacher straight off after gaining the ability to somewhat stabilize the post-mind and coalesce the pre-mind via the standard pinpoint&emptiness&pinpointedemptiness meditations. I worked up to one hour straight sessions unblinking the entire time. I thought it was simply to build an iron will and purge emotion. That's when the faces in the glow-point of the flame appeared and access to the, hmmm, shall we say, 'djinn paradise', nay, I prefer 'Tír na nÓg' in my conscious sleep began. I did not dream before this. In my waking life I gained the ability to perceive invisible entities, as in glimpsing into their wavelength of 'smokeless fire' eyes open; eyes closed, and somewhat physically interact and psychically in meditation. As a side note I also have that internal blindness I have seen a forum member post his wife having - that it was not the norm was news to me lol - and I have forgotten the name of, sorry, instead of seeing form and colour it is more of a 'placeholder' and I feel its dimension and weight when 'visualizing' is the only way to describe it. This is relevant as I cannot construct visual images, and since the trataka I will have various spontaneous form and colour visions and communication intrude whilst meditating, sceneries, people, 'people', birds eye my surrounding room, whats directly in front of my eyes with them closed, etc, so it may seem a handicap but alas it serves as a filter, keeping one from being deluded by his own visualization efforts. And by following Lu's advice in the Golden Flower, one will not become attached to these true visualizations neither and will instead focus on coaxing out the shining mind and coagulating that sweet, sweet gold elixir. These experiences of mine seem to be in-line with the three element theory information you have posted. Cheers. It's been a long time, I think I shall go buy some candles. Good times. Go for it. Good luck.
  20. Love Conquers All

It's not just about what they are, its about who we are. Using sulfuric acid on other people degrades us; makes us less human beings. That doesn't mean we play patty cake, it means we follow the rules of war and do our utmost to avoid civilian casualties. There's a whole lot of people in ISIS territory who were caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. Modern warfare where you have a kill rate of 20 civilians to every combatant is a stain on humanity. We have to do better. It starts with not pinning the label inhuman on other groups, so we justify doing inhuman things to them. Let me go further then that though. Let me plead for the lives of ISIS members. addon> Let us not forget that the evil they do is because they bought into the belief that people of other religions and ethnicity are subhuman and animals. We will beat them, there is no doubt. If we hold tight to the idea some groups are animals and subhuman then we've won the war and lost the peace. The worst of there ideology will have survived in us. > In war there is killing, its a necessity. Fight intelligently, avoid civilian casualties, attack there finances, trick them, hound them, cut off there supplies, degrade and punish there allies. Realize 2 years ago these were guys on the street, living there lives, doing no harm, and if you handle things intelligently, 2 years from now many of these ISIS member could be doing the same. Good doesn't mean stupid though, there are war crimes and regular murder, rape etc.,to be answered and paid for. Yet many individuals and families were disenfranchised people drawn to ISIS for the dream of finding a good life in a religious setting. That's the dream/trap that ISIS propaganda set out and it snared 10,000's. Most more stupid then evil, since ISIS made no bones about slavery and genocide of other groups. Still that was 'justified' as a short phase one before paradise set in. These 'ISIS' members do not deserve death or to be called subhuman, probably stupid and naive works better. They don't deserve a get out of jail free card either. They should return under probation, checking in and violations should get them jailed. Those who committed crimes should already be there. Much of there ideology is based on God is on there side and the Caliphate is his ambassador on the earth. Win the war, take away there territory, chain or kill there Caliphate, imprison there top hierarchy, propagandists and jihadist imams and you've gone long way to returning the masses to normalcy.
  21. Tantra...

Assume it all begins at A. Curiosity sets in One sees lots of things manifesting within A That curiosity prompts ideas that these manifestations are not-A since each appear to have its own separate identity Fragmentation sets in Restlessness follows One seeks to return to A Lots of hard work, frustrations, seeming breakthroughs felt A dawning of satisfaction and sense of achievement that all the hard work paid off And one has at long last attained freedom Suddenly one startles from that dream realizes, with much laughter (and tears) No matter how much one tries One could never be separated from A
  22. Tantra...

I think relative to this thread, clarity refers to the onset of pure perception viz establishing a continuum of awareness whereby forms are recognised as none other than manifestations from one's own universal mind () and by definition perfect in its own nature. This is an attractive state, often appearing in the dream states (leaving fuzzy recollections) and most people actually have strong inklings what it is, which is wonderful. The thing with this almost-recognition comes the desire to generate assumptions by way of over-reliance and deference to intellectualism, and this gives birth to and simultaneously compounds actions that support grasping and aversion, which is how duality comes to be. Learning how to sustain pure perception is likened to masters exhorting students to not get distracted. Its this curiosity inherent in sentiency that follows the self-born knowing of primordial purity (which is like a seed in all things) that beings experience the mirage of separation. The more complex the biology the greater the degree of curiosity. Though the persistent encouragement from some tantric masters to indulge with fervour the body, speech and mind while maintaining a continuum of "pure" awareness is said to be a key to liberation, this is sooo easy to type out, but oh so difficult to cultivate In this context, "pure" = one taste (from which spells the end of curiosity lol)
  23. Road Trip

Took a little holiday ( from the big holiday ) in the swish car . Its been running like a dream . I am nearly as far down the coast south wards ( before it turns west ) . Toady I will move on to Eden . At the moment I am in Tathra . Small coastal village , got a beach cabin and now I am sitting up in bed watching the sun about to come up over the ocean ... from bed ! Ahhhh . The sound of waves all night . The trip to Sydney was as usual, I done that many times, but then I got through and went along my old motorcycle route ; 'Natio' and 'down the coast road' ' ; VROOOM ! ... go Rover ... No, not one of these ... a ' 75' ; I noticed something a bit funny about the town I arrived in yesterday ; the caravan park and accommodation is very full for the 'off season' . parts f the town seem to be 'missing'. even in the main street - a lot of empty ground with construction fences. Then I went to the 'Bowlo' (lawn bowls club) for dinner and there was picture with ; 'Visit Tahra and help us get on our feet again after the fire ." Fire ? So when I got home I looked it up on internet . Now I remember ! Last year a huge bush fire isolated the town and drove the residents on to the beach . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_Tathra_bushfire Anyway . Off to Eden .... where Aboriginal people used to use '' trained' killer whales to bring them food ( using a dance on the shore, with a fire behind them to show their silhouette to the whale, the dance was supposed to depict an injured and/or old hunter that was having difficulty hunting and feeding himself . The whales would see it and drive fish to the shore . ) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killer_whales_of_Eden,_New_South_Wales
  24. Living in the Anthropocene Age

Are African people really poor and starving, I don't think so. That is the white man's dream, they go and be missionaries in Africa whilst in Germany they proudly declare they are "free" and "modern" because young German women can open their legs for money and it's all legalised and assisted by the Government. The number of sane people on the planet is quite small, I'm afraid : figure that into your plans. Another thing is people have terrible suffering and die; nobody is rushing down to stop it happening; figure that into your plans. So ... Unfortunately things are even worse than that. Judging by fossilised human skulls, the human brain has reduced in size by about 15% since CroMagnon period ... what this indicates is our bodies seem to be adjusted according to the era, the direction of evolution, the environment and nutrients available. And so, if the particulars of your era are not so good, you will be born into a time of reducing intelligence. This I believe is what the "fall" means. It's nobody's fault, just a matter of chance. Small brain size, smaller consciousness, and so on. Spirituality we still rely on work from thousands of years ago ... that's not a good sign. Next thing is the confusion of identities. When people are overly concerned with the world what this means is that they are living in a shared "world mind" rather than having their own mind. Which means they are degenerating. Urbanisation / globalisation are dramatically increasing this, as the individual intelligence grows from contact with nature and the environment, working with your hands and so on. Instead today both the problems and solutions are just a movie you watch on the screen, as a bystander. Even doing maths is too much, so people use a calculator. And eagle is not concerned about "the world". He just does his job, which is to be himself. He works, he is sharp, he breathes, he flies, he dies. He doesn't have time to play those games. And so, he lives well, and contributes to the maximum for life, existence and the planet. In the cafe today, two guys at different tables plugged into the internet, cans on their head ... they weren't even in the cafe. An interesting thing is that people who are part of this world mind, actively seek out and destroy any shoot of consciousness near them, by taking revenge against whoever they can blame for their unhappiness. In fact many global movements by activists are simply a way for unconscious people to destroy all alternative opinions and thereby destroy anyone who is conscious, until everyone thinks the same. "He is stagnant in his nest of comfort, and miserable because of it. This misery does not render him inactive, on the contrary it compels him to seek victims in the world who ... embody individual values ... and so he innocuously supports the complete de-individualisation of every person in the name of "equality". " - Nietzsche wrote that 100 years ago, and today all we hear is "equality" and de-nationalisation and de-familialisation, so that we can all be the same, globalised and facebook. And if you have a different view you will be disqualified from Wikipedia, the Government, fired at work, and not published. This de-humanisation is well underway. Even having a gender is no longer considered valid.
  25. reality is like a dream

Struck me the other day how another aspect of life and reality emulates the dream states, based on something I think Karl said about the origin of the universe not having a set beginning, not being created, it just was... Reminded me a lot of how I interact with my dreams. Most often, there is not a clear recollection of the start of a dream, I become lucid as it plays out and I'm suddenly aware of things and my apparent place in them. Reality reflects dreams for me in this way. We have no clear, distinct recollection of the origin of reality. It just was and one moment, we found ourselves aware that we are interacting with it.
