  1. Some OP's start with a message like 'This is meant to be a serious discussion. Please no hijacking, off subject or humorous comments Please.' This may be a good device for certain people. I'd hate to see it everywhere or over used. Any other suggestion for better wording? If its not abused and there's a fair amount of respectful buy in, this may solve some problems. Good example from the Turtle Shell: "This thread is solely about helping people gain an understanding of the terminology in the book Taoist Yoga, by Charles Luk. Please do not take the thread off topic, with debate."
