enlightenment Results oriented natural state awareness
Bud Jetsun posted a topic in Buddhist Discussion
The function of a 'religion' is to re-link or re-bind oneself to the natural state. Nothing that can be written, read, heard, chanted, realized, or comprehended contains more than human constructed fantasy choice to replace appreciation of the natural state with fleeting confusion. Buddhist temples in the US contain suffering beings, including a master pointlessly suffering the suffering students. Buddhist temples in China and Japan contain suffering beings, including a master pointlessly suffering the suffering students. Zen temples in the US contain suffering beings, including a master pointlessly suffering the suffering students. Zen temples in China and Japan contain suffering beings, including a master pointlessly suffering the suffering students. The teachers and students at each share and exchange various levels and styles of pointless suffering to hone the practice. The more expensive/elite the facility or retreat, the more creatively the participants have to work to maintain ways to replace the natural state with pointlessly suffering experiencing being in the company of their own mind. Discourse is centered around exchanging delusions, and a variety of non-committal ritual gestures, often including sitting. The summation of all religious texts, from Sumerian to Vedic, to Zen, to Buddhist poetry that may leave ones face streaked with tears of joy, is not more than some patterns of ink droplets or pixels, and does not contain the real or aspects of the natural state. A religion that you spend an hour a week on at a church or temple, or 20hrs a day on will offer no more than a body that's older and closer to death afterwards if it's done as some type of 'practice' or 'exercise' as opposed to a mindful lifestyle. All expressible thoughts are fleeting delusions that mercifully arise and persist and conclude, having never contained more than human sensory phenomena artifact induced confusion of what may be. The natural state has never for an instant been out of reach of any being, an experientially programmed and self-sustaining dependently arising illusion of thoughts are grasped at like vapors while the natural state remains. Waiting to appreciate Now tomorrow is death while the gift of the bodies function is still active. The universe shared an incredible gift of another spinal injury that included exactly the right number of weeks of laying immobile in an ocean of exactly the right amount of pain sensations delivered with every breath to befriend pain and all sensation with equanimity and sincere gratitude. Seeking 'Buddhism', or any religious dogma or ritual or doctrine adds another set of constructs separating awareness of the natural state. While this loan of energy in body-shape remains animate and responsive to the will of your consciousness, seek experience and embrace it. Unlimited Love, -Bud- 5 replies

I have been watching a series called, "America Unearthed" and it seems very clear to me that every single influential or successful person involved with the early years of America was a Freemason. Furthermore I think the Freemason's have roots in spirituality. I suspect they are teaching their members, or rather, were teaching their members, certain things that helped them to become influential and successful. I am not so sure the Freemasons are doing this now. Is Obama a Freemason? Donald Trump? Bill Gates? Who was the last president, church leader or one of Amierca's Top 10 wealthiest people to be a Freemason? I of course can not be sure and do not know, but I would suspect that there hasn't been a Freemason in America's inner elite circles since the 80's or maybe even the 70's. if you are a Freemason and are allowed to do so, feel free to correct me if I am wrong. I just wonder what the Freemasons are teaching their members? It seems unikely that these people were already influential or successful before they become Freemasons. It seems more likely that this happened after they were initiated. They became the leadsers and forefathers of America. But after they became Freemasons, not before. It may even be likely some of these members were initiated by their parents when they were still children, although I do not know the rules around this. So it seems likely that Freemason initiates used to be given information, maybe they even still are, that boosted them ahead of others in some way. It would be before the whole , "Law of Attraction" teahcings. Before the, "New Thought" and "Christian Science" movements. The only book that I can think would have the necessary teachings would be the Kybalion, but I believe there would have to be more to it than that. So what do you think? Is there some secret training on some ancient text, or maybe even an ancient text copied and distributed to the various Freemason houses? If you are a Freemason, are you allowed to comment on this? Is what appears to be a decline in, "Secret Societies" due to these "New Thought" and LoA teachings becoming more available? Maybe back in the day people depeneded on Freemasonary to make them influential or successful, but today anyone can stumble on the right texts and teachings and make themselves successful. Do you think that is what's going on? The reason I bring this up, odd as it is for this forums, is that I wonder sometimes if I should join such a society, provided I could get myself invited. Maybe whatever I learn there would give me the kick in the pants I need to become influential or successful myself. Just toying with the idea, asking questions, wondering. Curious as to the truth, if it can be pried out.

I read 'Younger Next Year' and was very impressed, its about a doctor and older patient's investigation at how to improve life and health. Here is a TED talk that echoes that book by 93 year old Charles Eugster. Both have the same message, Work, Exercise, Diet are the secrets to turning back the clock and staying strong. But its hard, it takes great effort and discpline, certainly at first. JohnC wrote: "I've had experiences of wu wei, deep long term body injury healing(lower hip and atlas vertebra healing... I've had it that way for so long I just assumed that was how it would be forever...), alignment with my path in life(life just seems to flow), an over abundance of energy regardless of sleep, it will highlight your talents and any spiritual ones.. Over all it's pretty fucking awesome if you ask me. I usually practice gift of the tao through the day at different times, and from 9-11 every night I'll do 30 minutes of zhan zhuang, 30 minutes gift of the tao<S-M's flowing chi gong>, and 1 hour of stillness movement. Preferably 2 hours of stillness movement daily, 1 hour in the morning 1 hour at night." I don't mean to focus on a particular practice. But look at the time he puts in, the consistency, how it hits several notes and just as importantly is consciously carried on through out the day. Dainin is another member who is inspiring not for volumous writing, but for their consistent daily practice. Many members shine here, another S-M person is RainbowVein, but again people who have long term commitment to a practice that hits several facets of spirituality hit gold.
