I've been following the travails of "The Martial Man", Keiren (I believe his last name is Krieger) since 2017. I must admit I truly appreciate the efforts this man has taken to seek out and interview so many great martial arts teachers. I hadn't logged on to the website https://themartialman.com/ in a while and when I did get there today, I find a very fascinating array of videos there dealing with Taijiquan, Wumei, 5 Ancestors Fist etc. I would say that it is a great resource for all bums who are interested in Martial Arts, and especially the Internal Martial Arts -- there's stuff one can learn from the videos too, but in general, from an informational perspective it is a great resource. Happy Holidays all..I thought I'd plug the website here. Hello eveyone, I have recently heard that Fujian White Crane is a very practical and effective internal martial art that also has some external aspects within it. I did some research into it and found out that Fujian White Crane is a progenitor art of Wing Chun . It was a video I saw of a FWC lineage holder talking about the history of the art. He mentioned that Wing Chun is only basically half of Fujian White Crane. Does anybody know about the accuracy of these claims? Also how effective is it truly?

Hi all. I watched this last night and thought it was very good. I've been practicing for three and a half years and over the curse, have identified how Taoist the martial art's philosophy is. This documentary explains it all... I see that there are a lot of Bagua and Tai Chi practitioners on here but not many talk about Wing Chun. I'm quite interested in learning more from the Bagua and Tai Chi philosophies too to draw on similarities more than anything. So anyone with anything to say on any Taoist martial arts, please go ahead

So, since a kid I have studied what I now know was wing chun, but not. lol You see my grand master was brilliant enough to blend concepts of both xin yi and bagua into our training. This is why the Ng Family forms look like nothing else, but they do remind one of some quite potent movement. My thought as of now and the last few days is how one could intro a compleltely fresh piece of clay (student) by teaching him Wing Chun with some bagua principles blended in. This might sound like contradiction to some, I found it to be a brilliantly succcessful deal. I will add more later, interested in any discussion! PEACE @ THE TAO BUMZ
