Tabula Rasa Posted June 13, 2009 A root of Taoism is Lao Tzu's profound statement, "The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao." Then he went on to describe it in words anyway. mine, now.... a moment, a choice breathing in...space...breathing out mind unraveling one moment, one choice catch the wave, glide to freedom repeat as needed What words do you use to tell truth as you see it? As you have attempted, the only way to attempt to point at the moon is through poetry. Descriptions of any other kind fall flat. I'm not much of a poet - too self conscious to read, let alone share any poetry I've written. Bravo Carol.

It cannot be described, only realized/experienced. But we come up with millions of words to try and capture it in syntax. All we get is a shell, an empty perspective, a reflection in a funny mirror...each mirror as different from the other as each of us are different from one another...the struggle is trying to use all these words and frameworks to catapult us into infinity. Once the rock leaves the catapult, it doesn't need it anymore. If the rock clings to the catapult, it cannot be free.
