Gerard Posted August 28, 2009 Detach from the world, increase your silent and solitary meditation time, purify your mind, strengthen your life force and rise your spirit; it is time for the big fasting: one month of not taking any food and drinking only water (adapted to Buddhists and Taoists).  رمضان كريم
Vajrasattva Posted August 28, 2009 (edited) Yes its is truly a special thing to observe and do. Its been going great so far.  Happy Ramadan & Festivities to all.  You can eat afterthe sun goes down and before it comes up again.  Its the best time to make prayers, zikr, & any kind of spiritual practice. Dedicate your efforts to the Divine Most High & Creator.  wsalams  Santiago Edited August 28, 2009 by Vajrasattva

Mal Posted August 29, 2009 I don't usually eat more than fruit during the day anyhow. But I've given that away for Ramadan (I still drink water whenever) Â also reading the Tao Te Ching and Hua Hu Ching. Â It's not much of a change but I'm enjoying it. Zenshiite Posted September 17, 2009 It fascinates me that you guys are observing fasting in specific relation to Ramadan. Â Please, explain your reasons. Not that you have to have any, but I'm curious.
Gerard Posted September 17, 2009 No reasons for me, Â It is a natural process of spiritual cultivation.
