JustARandomPanda Posted September 13, 2009 (edited) So...after today's lesson with my teacher, Tao I decided to try one of the techniques he taught. Trying to use one's hands to (not only see auras and/or energy) but to 'feel' them as well and see what color they give when one's eyes are closed as a sort of diagnostic tool. Â I still have not been able to see any color other than black when I close my eyes but seeing as Tao says the colors are associated with emotions and seeing as I have trouble feeling or identifying any emotions except happiness, fear and depression then maybe it's no surprise I haven't been able to see any other color except black when they're closed. Â I was, however, able to feel their dimensions. One thing that surprised the heck out of me is how big my heart (wind) chakra is! It was huge! Vastly outstripping all other chakras in size. It's weird "seeing" (or in this case feeling) one's weaknesses. My wind chakra is out of control - likely due to my fear and anxiety issues when it comes to having to interact with real people and have driven me to become a hermit. [TaoBummers don't count! Yall are a bunch of fluffy, friendly sheepdogs! ] Â My root chakra is almost gone. It felt like a tiny, dying ember. It took 3 tries to finally feel it. The diagram I made probably makes it seem bigger than what I actually felt. It literally felt no bigger than the fingernail on my pinky. Â I wonder if this is related to the constant fatigue I have everyday? It was a point of contention when my boyfriend last visited as he is a bodybuilder and wanted me to lift weights with him about 30 minutes after getting up every morning. Â I did (with effort) but he was never able to understand why it always left me feeling even more exhausted and light headed instead of energized like it does for him. He saw it as me just being lazy and making excuses to get out of exercising (who knows...maybe he's right?). The water and fire chakras were only a little larger than the size of my thumb. Â The big surprise was feeling what I swear was another chakra about a foot above my head! I've never heard of anyone speak of this. Was it my imagination or is there really such a thing? It seemed to be approximately the width of my head and was the 2nd largest one I felt. Crown was 3rd largest, and each got progressively smaller until I hit the Wind/Heart chakra which was the walrus of the bunch. Â Â I am a bit baffled as to how to go about correcting these imbalances. I'm still doing KAP every day so maybe that will correct them? I do wish Stillness Movement Qi Gong were available on DVD for people unable to afford a seminar. I sometimes wonder if that could also help. Stigweard Posted September 13, 2009 Barbara Brennan's "Hands of Light" and "Light Emerging" are the best two books I have come across to understand the chakras. Â This may answer your question:
Vajrahridaya Posted September 13, 2009 (edited) Â Â The big surprise was feeling what I swear was another chakra about a foot above my head! I've never heard of anyone speak of this. Â The crown chakra extends out above. If your not grounded, you'll feel it above the head, when your centered in your body, or your let go of your body and naturally just relaxed, pain and anxiety free, you'll just feel it where your head is at, or everywhere really as that's the infinite lotus petal chakra. Â Hatha yoga will help anchor your energy, ground you, and open up your personal power. Doing hath yoga in groups can be helpful, as you will force yourself to focus on yourself even when there are people around. This all takes time and is a process. You must be patient with yourself and have compassion for yourself as well as others who seem to make you fearful or paranoid. It's fine to feel scared, just acknowledge it and see it for what it is and know that it's not something to identify with or let rule your life. Believe me, I've gone through major paranoia about being around people and can have a tendency towards agoraphobia. But, through practice and contemplation, I have overcome much of it. I am still sensitive, but I don't cling to the sensations I feel from others and don't judge them. I mostly send them good vibes anyway, just because I accept that people are the way they are merely due to conditionings and everyone has Buddha nature! Â Do some Hatha Yoga!! You'll be amazed!! JustARandomPanda Posted September 13, 2009 WTH? Did someone give me a Shaktipat tonight (!!) or am I just getting a delayed response from inadvertently tapping into the energy Santi sends out to his students everyday? Â I swear I could feel my wind chakra getting a workover. So much so my pec muscles actually alternately tensed and relaxed on their own. I started to break out in a sweat from anxiety. And there was the usual feeling of heavy fire, wind, spiraling energy....and something new this time.. I would swear it felt like pulses of energy in my root chakra. It buzzed me so much with energy I actually went for an hour long walk in the rain tonight. I still feel the buzz - like I just slammed down a pack of Red Bull. Â Did someone give me a Shaktipat or am I just being delusional? If someone did I very much want to thank you. Â Â p.s. Thank you Stigweard and VH. I will look into your suggestions VH. ngtest Posted September 13, 2009 (edited) SereneBlue, Â In Master Nan Huai Chin's book Tao and Longevity there is an illustration of the chakras and that chakra you mention above the head is called the Sacred chakra which is different from the crown chakra and above it. Vajrahridaya Posted September 13, 2009 SereneBlue, Â In Master Nan Huai Chin's book Tao and Longevity there is an illustration of the 7 cakras and that cakra you mention above the head is called the Sacred cakra. But it doesn't say its role. Â There are lots of diagrams one can find that show many chakras above the head, but this is all really just the crown chakra and it's infinite dimension lotus. I sometimes wonder if that could also help.  I tought the one above the crown was the higher self chakra. There is also suppsoed to be a similar one belov the feet.  At least now you know you have a big heart  For sure KAP will help balance out this stuff. Most reasonably balanced system will. KAP has specific chakra meditations were one uses sound etc. to balance all the chakras. The orbit also helps a lot. the secret smile helps. The grounding stuff in KAP is probably realy important for you to rebuild your root chakra. I read somewhere that you do pilates and that also helps strenghten the lower chakras. In general everything that makes your bodys alignment and posture perfect does a lot to balance the chakras. When the body is physicaly correct the energetics broadly align according to it and so gets a lot more balanced. For realy, realy getting balanced and especially strenghtening something that is very weak I think it is stuff like the specific chakra meditations that works best. For me the embracing the tree posture does a lot to strenghten my weak root chakra. Getting your sexuality healed and getting more in touch with your emotions will also do a lot. This set my laughter off big time: The big surprise was feeling what I swear was another chakra about a foot above my head! I've never heard of anyone speak of this. Was it my imagination or is there really such a thing? You have discovered on your own something that quite a lot of people never realize. We utilize this energy vibration in our Spiral Qigong and in the Gift of the Tao movements (which are available on DVD). Â I suggest you think of Chakra's not as physical locations but as vibratory states with dimensionality. I know this goes against the general grain of thinking but this approach can help a person in their development. Â As far as the Stillness-Movement there are many reasons that it is better done in person. You can attend my Illinois workshop and pay me when and if you can. ryansmith Posted September 13, 2009 There is a chakra about 6 inches above the crown chakra and there is another one about three feet above the crown charka. The Knight's templar visualization in KAP 2 goes into opening these ups. As for opening the lower chakras I would say just continue practicing KAP. As your energy increases, so too will your abilitity to feel the emotions you might not be able to at this time. It took me sometime to really feel the water slow magnetic feeling of the second chakra, as I am by nature a more fiery person. I also did not know what a real earthy root feeling felt like, now I can. Also, there have been times when it feels like I have gotten delayed responses from Shaktipats, as kundalini energy and opens a person only when he/she is ready. All the best in your practices. Creation Posted September 13, 2009 Did someone give me a Shaktipat or am I just being delusional? If someone did I very much want to thank you. Perhaps neither. Shaktipat and delusion are not the only two things that can cause such an occurrence. Energy can start to move for no apparent reason, especially in one who is practicing energy work or meditation intensely. Then again, it wouldn't surprise me if someone sent you some energy. Â That's really cool you discovered the above-crown chakra on your own. I'm sure Tao will mention it to you sooner or later. And the big heart chakra thing does not surprise me

Vajrahridaya Posted September 15, 2009 Â That's really cool you discovered the above-crown chakra on your own. Â The above crown chakra is connected to the infinite lotus, or infinite chakra chakra of the crown chakra. It opens infinite dimension. It's just that heat rises from the top of the head so you can be aware of that heat and energy above the head. Â Sometimes I see a light above peoples heads. I figure that means they are not closed off to higher influence and that there is an opening in their crown. I've only seen this with people who do spiritual practice. Other people I see a black ceiling right above the head like a deeply dimensional line cutting them off to higher influence. I see this a lot with street people, or thuggish people. Not that every street person is this way, but many times...
Aetherous Posted September 15, 2009 Other people I see a black ceiling right above the head like a deeply dimensional line cutting them off to higher influence. Â Interesting. I sometimes see this as well. To be clear, I actually seem to see it with my eyes and it isn't a vision and isn't very similar to how some people view auras, where you unfocus your eyes and do it in the dark. I see it more with my peripheral vision, and probably am not able to see it by focusing on it. I have never seen a light above someone's head, though...not that I know of. Â A strange thing is, I will see this above cars sometimes when I'm driving.

A strange thing is, I will see this above cars sometimes when I'm driving.  It's just what's called, Prakriti in Samkhya. As in the material nature. It's the darkness of the material source, the black source of material nature. Light is spiritual nature, or nature of consciousness, the power of illumination, known as Purusha in Samkhya.  It's a helpful duality in explanation. Not the ultimate truth, but it's experiential and explains part of the relativity of the cosmos.  Thanks for sharing Scotty! Creation Posted September 15, 2009 Other people I see a black ceiling right above the head like a deeply dimensional line cutting them off to higher influence. From Mysteries of the Life Force: My Apprenticeship with a Chi Kung Master by Peter Meech: "Sometimes patient not good character. [To such a person] I no teach [chi kung]" "How can you tell if a patient doesn't have a good character?" Dr. Chow throws himself back in his chair as if pondering how much to reveal. He draws a breath and says, "I throw chi at head and look at aura. If aura turns black, I no teach."
