For instance, cutting the body in half at the hips. Â Then when they locate the sense of self, which in the guy's case, was in the middle of the head...they ask whether he is aware of it. Â I think in general all methods of self-inquiry realize this same truth -- you cannot be an object of any kind, or that awareness is not the same thing as the artifacts of awareness.
