DalTheJigsaw123 Posted October 16, 2009 Anyone read "The Second Book Of The Tao" by Stephen Mitchell? This book is one of the best books on Tao I have ever read. Â http://www.amazon.com/Second-Book-Tao-Step...4678&sr=8-
secularfuture Posted October 16, 2009 I'm not a fan of Stephen Mitchell. He's a good guy, and his work is usually very accessible, but I don't like the way he westernizes Eastern philosophy. I haven't read The Second Book Of The Tao, but if it's anything like his translation of the Tao Te Ching, I'll probably hate it. Â But to each his/her own. I can be a little nitpicky sometimes. You can actually read one of the quotes on my website: http://www.leonbasin.net  I just posted one of the quotes and then I added my own commentary.
