joeblast Posted March 7, 2014 (edited) hehe...the lines are magnetic field lines on the sun, there's a giant coronal hole in the northern hemisphere right now the earth would be practically the size of one of those zeroes in the lower left in this shot (and another clue, SDO is the solar dynamics observatory!)
