Vajrasattva Posted December 15, 2009 I wanted to share a personal experience with KAP. I took the KAP 1 and 2 with Santi in LA. We did 22 hours of meditation in 2 days. Good times. I practice everyday. Anyways, I was dealing with a personal life challenge at the time, that I was having trouble resolving. I am non-confrontational by nature and this challenge took more assertiveness than I had at the time. So after class, I sat down to write a letter that needed to be addressed (sorry so vague-the personal details wouldn't be beneficial), and then it happened. Glenn took over. He wrote the entire letter- his diction, ideas, what needed to be done, everything. I know how this sounds, but it's what happened. Completely resolved the problem. Of course, I had to take responsibility for my part in the problem and process all the residual, and if you wish you can view this as a story, but this was life-changing for me (because of the circumstances). Thanks to Glenn, Susan, Santi, and tribe for all you have contributed and keep it up!  Oh I forgot, and thanks to the Tao bums/bummers for teaching me in other ways.   That 22hour workshop was awesome! Do you remember the Grey Ball of light in the sky? ufo???    not much chia in KAP if there ever was and I used to teach the old version with Glenn. There is definitely very little if at all in the new but I don't keep current with Chia so I can't be sure. Sant'is system very much leans to the shamanic side. I like it and he's got serious juice, big chi beast. Gets you in touch with Source quickly. No 30 years of servitude in some guru's cave tending bean sprouts and following the rice bowl with the KAP system. I can't even conceive of Santi teaching Chia. There is literally no room for it. KAP is filled with so many other things. Why waste time teaching something you can get from the bookstore? Where is the value in that? I would rather learn at another level. Don't other people?  Chia's system never felt "right" in the body to me . I could feel no heart, no love. Some people like that kind of practice. I don't so I don't use his stuff.  I'm all for using what works...regardless of the system. I didn't come out of any system at all. Only started looking at chi gong in 2006 because I met Jin Fa in Vancouver and it was, felt shamanic. Another chi beast and so were many of his students. Jin Fa was also kind and funny and so were his students.  When the energy runs i do spontaneous chi gong forms and yogic asanas.  When say chi beast I am talking like my wuji gigong teacher, Master Duan in China. Jeez, scary strong chi transmission and wei chi field. Spent a couple of weeks with him in Beijing. There is a video of him up on you tube, a PBS documentary. Santi has got some serious chii but I have touched in with some of Santi's teachers and they are some chi monsters. Not only are their chi fields massive but wooo...their shen is incredible. We are not talking chinese or yogic either...more like Sufi and Muslim, stuff that goes back to the cradle of civilization, Mesopotamia. Amazing, there is massive power and spiritual understanding in those lineages. Have I got a lot more to learn now! (How unaware of me not recognize there is treasure there. Those traditions are ancient.) Fortunately, Santi has generously intro'd me to a couple of his masters for which I owe much giri. It will be another couple of decades before those traditions get out and start becoming well known. Like how the oriental arts were in the 60s when they came to America's shores.  Santi catches a lot of energetic attack from other teachers of those traditions because he wants to share with the foreigners. Those traditions are intro'd in the upper kap levels.  I don't care whose system is older and better just show me and let me decide. Talk is cheap. I am pretty basic...I go where the juice (spiritual power) is greatest and that's where I camp out and learn. In my 19 years of being on this crazy path it is this year Santi has intro'd to me some of the most amazing traditions that are nuclear powered. Nothing much makes me sit up and take notice anymore because I have been around for awhile. This does.  The secret smile is not the inner smile. The MCO is not a chia mco. I always thought the Chia one was under developed and for people who have weak chi. But of course, if you are just starting to train that makes sense but KAP uses an enhanced one. But is unwise to compare MCOs in different systems since there are infinite number moving in the body and in exchange with the local environment and the Universe. Sure you can talk about the different main ones but there are SO many others. I speak from experience not from being taught this.  Most if not all people cant carry high voltage in their channels without practice.  Santi and I have our practice differences. We compare and experiment but we rarely disagree.  All paths lead to Rome. Some are shorter, some are cheaper, some more expensive, some wind in and out in the desert for decades. So many to choose from.  In the 70s' someone said, "life is like a cafeteria, take what you need and don't spit on the rest."  Whom am I to judge? People get the teacher they deserve. yeah...and I made an inappropriate joke...ah well...i am not saint...just human...please don't put me on a pedastal... i could edit that out but i won't...so you know i do really stupid things too sometimes...like we all do  just wanted to add...being a critical care nurse for over 20 years I am accustomed to gallows and inappropriate humor but I forget how really offensive it can be to people who are not used to watching people die or suffer on a daily basis. My apologies.   Oh no now i am in for it now ; ) Love you Shaktimama.    I dunno, I have a problem with this 'Glenn took over' stuff. Maybe you can post the letter and redact (now there's a current word for ya) the personal stuff and let us see if it sounds like Glenn "wrote" it. Otherwise, my skeptic glasses remain on. I can't really believe (yet) that this guy is dawdling here on the earth plane to appear to any and all students of KAP. Maybe I'm wrong, but I need more evidence than these various reports...he's rapidly approaching 'urban legend' status. Maybe he is, and maybe he isn't. I fully acknowledge though, the possibility that all concerned are projecting, Kundalini activated or not. Or maybe that's their reality.   Haha you have no idea what Glenn is capable of. Careful next time you drop the soap!  We aint no saints.  Ooh, here comes Biff, everyone duck!  _____________  Edit: and Mama, the visualizing sitting kind of MCO is not just weak but dangerous, it's a hard style because it is forced. One person from half way across the country came to see me because she had been seriously damaged by doing it, and I've heard of others. I couldn't help her, and I think the damage was permanent, she will never be able to meditate. My teacher, who is a great healer, will not attempt to help such people.  There are many ways to do the MCO with movement and that is what I recommend as it is safe. Safety is paramount, particularly for powerful systems, as you must know.   Hmm we dont visualize the orbit. It just "occurs" If you need to visualize then ok fine but its not something we do. The "old" model Glenn gave to people was not the "oral tradition" but a guide for folks he not train in person or in a seminar way. Infact he used to say to "visualize the orbit is to 1) waste time & energy). Better to just feel and do. Let Shakti do the rest.

Vajrasattva Posted December 15, 2009 KAP combines practices....so you may be doing chi sets with MCO with sufi prayers with Secret Smile. KAP people know how to multitask. Santi can speak more on it. He's the Director of the program. Â Â KAP 1 is based on in a nutshell.... Â Lineage = UNIVERSAL (I have lineages & Connections Directly from , Glenn's Japanese, & Shamanic, & Tantric, Christianity, KNights of Templar, Ninpo & Mikkyo lineages, I have brought to the table Bonpo, Nyignma, Kaula & Natha Tantra, Taoist, Native American & South American Shamanism, African, Nordic, Reiki, Sufism, Silat. Susan can fill you in on her lineages as well she has too many for me to list. She is very much part of the current "KAP". ) Â 1) Transmission & Shaktipat 2) Intent 3) Breath Work & Yogic /Chi Kung/ Energy work (taoist, Shamanic, Tantric Mahasiddha yoga, Sufi,) 4) Relaxation 5) The GODAI (5 elements) 7) Activation of the Chakras & The Kundalini Shakti, Activation of Lesser & Greater Kan & Li. 8) Complete Surrender to the DIVINE (Tao, Shakti, Allah, God, AUM ) what ever aspect you feel comfortable with. 9) Service, Charity & Giri & Gratitude. 10) Integration to normal life. ShaktiMama Posted December 15, 2009 so why couldn't you say this up front first instead of 18 pages of being a butt later: Â "Edit: and Mama, the visualizing sitting kind of MCO is not just weak but dangerous, it's a hard style because it is forced. One person from half way across the country came to see me because she had been seriously damaged by doing it, and I've heard of others. Â There are many ways to do the MCO with movement and that is what I recommend as it is safe. Safety is paramount, particularly for powerful systems, as you must know." Â We don't force in KAP. Â KAP is filled with safety measures. Glenn was big on safety since he got himself seriously fried in the beginning. Â Santi and I talk about how it easy it is to dig stuff up on the internet and cobble together a practice. The problem is doing it out of sequence or something left out (which much of cultivation is oral tradition so that is very common) or in the wrong position or whatever and people do damage to themselves. Â What else is missing is transmission from the teachers and their protection besides the usual physical act of teaching. Â Qigong can mess people up. *raises hand* Can make people really sick. *raises hand* I have been there. Who studies the jing, chi, shen and alchemical aspects of internal cultivation before they teach? Not many. People think it is harmless like they think yoga is just exercise. Not if you study medical qiogong. I was telling Santi that in my study of medical qigong I saw so many combat application I couldn't believe what I was reading in the text books. Actually the break isn't across the bone, the ligament just pulled a thin sliver off the surface.  Plus, decades of being a caffeine freak didn't help, coffee leads to osteopornosis and I'm an old fart, but my hair is getting darker so that's nice.  NEW DAWN FADES /Star jumper  PEACE TO YOU  GOD BLESS  Peace to you too, Santiago.  What else is missing is transmission from the teachers and their protection besides the usual physical act of teaching.  I don't like that word 'transmissions' when used in advertising and long distance shaktipat sounds worse, for example, that Mizner guy who claims to give transmissions in tai chi. That is a terrible thing to claim. I did have shaktipat once, from across the world and it was from Sai Baba, and it caused my enlightenment experience, but it was a surprise, I didn't know it was coming - but my teacher knew it ahead of time. There is transmission and then there is transmission, of course. I only fry with consent They know it's coming and they want it bad! They keep coming back and asking for more cause it is such a big help in their personal practice. LOL We love our students very much. Â Shaktipat is an old school term. As for long distance that is descriptive enough for people to wrap their mind around. Â For people like Santi and me, the extraordinary is ordinary, common place. It is natural. Not a big deal. We don't think twice that people might think we sit on the Jedi Council when they hear us talk or interact with us. But, of course, then there is the other contingent who think we are so totally full of shit because it doesnt fit in their paradigm of reality. Â Eh...*shrug*...students come when they are ready. We are happy to train those who come. Â Kundalini Awakening is meant to create a natural human being who is in a spontaneous dance with ALL THAT IS. Â Our bodies are designed for this process to happen. Our bodies like when it happens. It is our entrenched belief systems about what is so that hates the kundalini awakening. Â Wait, is that guy in the bottom of the picture our own S. Dobles? Â He would be the first to admit he is. Santi loves and honors women and the Divine Feminine. He sits at the feet of Shakti waiting for her direction. He will be the first to tell you he belongs to Her. Â

ralis Posted December 15, 2009 Holy moly. Just finished this thread and wow... I am not going to comment on anyone else's post but I would like to share my story at least and how it relates to KAP. It's going to be a bit long and seemingly off topic but it does tie into KAP (eventually).  So...  Lately I've been reading up on Gurdjieff and his Work - primarily through Oupensky and Nicoll. A few things about some of the things I've learned have changed how I view things - particularly work on myself.  One of the main things Gurdjieff taught is that one must struggle to 'awaken' all of one's latent potential (yes, I mean that in both a 'clear view' Taoist/Buddhist sense and a Kundalini sense).  He had one aphorism in particular that hit me like a thunderbolt.  Learn to like what "it" does not.  In Gurdjieff's Work he explained humans have several centers but of these 3 are primary - instinctive (i.e. moving) center, emotional center and the intellectual center. He did mention the sexual center but says that the other 3 centers rope it into doing their "bidding" - with the over-emphasized one typically eating the lion's share of the sexual center's energy output and the other 2 getting the left-overs. And now I understand at last why Pietro (um..I think it was Pietro) once posted the Chinese say that "Yi eats Jing". Too much thinking burns through jing and chi without producing anything but more thoughts. Which are gone almost as soon as they come into being.  In humans that have yet to "awaken" fully (become a type 5 through type 8 human) typically one center is over-emphasized, a second one is scrambled and the third is given only a miniscule chance to be expressed.  In my own case I quickly identified that I have always drastically over-emphasize the intellectual center. And that intellectual center is eating the hell out of what jing / chi I have left. Well unfortunately for me this has resulted in two things that I've been able to identify so far. One is that well...I'm pretty damn lazy. Which must mean that the center that gets almost zero energy or chance to express is my instinctive/moving/getting-stuff-done center. The other is that since all this thinking, pondering, whatever-you-want to call it is eating up my jing/chi-whatever - until this gets fixed (which I am attempting to do via daily meditation) it's going to take a TON of Juice to attain even a 3rd of what more balanced practitioners have at their disposal.  Now here's where that aphorism hit me.  Learn to like what "it" does not.  That is...since my natural inclination is to think and not do then the thing I MUST do is..well doing. My intellectual center is in control and it sure don't like doing. It likes thinking and will seize control at the drop of a hat if it detects energy starting to flow to and through the instinctive center instead. And unfortunately because my intellectual center still eats the lion's share of jing / chi and because the instinctive center is the one that's very nearly shut down (it's the source of willpower to get stuff done in Gurdjieff's way of explaining things) I'm going to have to struggle to practice way more than the average KAP student just to achieve even a third of what they attain. And since Santi keeps stressing you must DO he actually lines up excellently to be the kind of teacher I am most in need of. I need that kind of teacher regardless of whether I like him as a person or not (although fortunately I do. )  Learn to like what "it" does not.  For there is where true growth for me will come. To struggle against the way I've always been.  The very thing Gurdjieff said we all must do in order to forge true mastery over ourselves. According to Gurdjieff he said we don't really have true free will. It took a while for me to understand what he was getting at because he means it a bit differently than what is typically thought of by the term.  Until a human is able to give ANY response or NO response (read: be wu wei) completely and totally independent of ANY and ALL exterior conditions, triggers, events, states, someone dissing you, hollering at you, insulting you etc he/she does not have true free will in the Gurdjieffian sense. One or the other of the centers will respond in knee-jerk reaction. Always. If you think you are in control test your belief - try watching the Watcher as it's Watching both itself and everything else - especially when doing or responding to anything or anyone at anytime.  So...what does that result in for me? Struggle. I have to struggle everyday to do KAP and I have to make sure I do it every day several times a day. Some people when they set their mind to something they can pretty much do it and they don't have to struggle much if at all to get stuff done. My mom is like that. Unfortunately I'm not her. And so I struggle everyday to do what comes as easy as eating pie to most other KAPers.  In spite of my inherent tendency to "think-don't-do" which I struggle to overcome daily and despite the fact a ton of jing / chi still gets eaten by the intellectual center (while everything else gets the left-overs) I have been having some good results from KAP - hands down better than any system I've tried to date. For example: Since taking Santi's class I can now feel energy moving up and down a front channel of some sort almost 24/7. It goes on even in my sleep! It feels just like a big ping pong ball of energy constantly bouncing back and forth from my heart level to my lower dantien. Also everyday now I feel a tiny trickle of energy start up on it's own and run in a macrocosmic orbit. This happens approximately 5-6x per day. I'll literally be doing something like reading a book or walking and "poof" this orbit starts up out of nowhere. I'm also *finally* having a bit of success when it comes to Secret Smile. Not much but it is noticeable and that makes me happy. And in the past week and a half the bottom of my feet have been getting hot! That has never happened before ever - not ever. I'm always icy cold even in summertime. There are other things that have happened but I don't post about them anymore - most especially because I'm trying to practice non-attachment.  I confess sometimes I read these forums, read of all these really amazing things other TaoBummers have achieved - especially other KAPers and I get frustrated that I'm not having these amazing experiences that they are. They're off combusting new suns in the galaxy into being with their chi it's so strong and here I am still just at stage one. So I'm still struggling with trying not to get attached to experiences or attainments or whatnot. It's tough. Most of the time I don't succeed but I still try to practice non-attachment to results.  Anyhoo...I haven't awakened Kundalini but then considering what I'm up against I think I'm doing pretty well.  I thought I might toss my experience into the hat, plus the bit of what I've learned vis-a-vis Gurdjieff. Studying Gurdjieff has had the really odd effect of making me appreciate what KAP is doing in some amazing ways I never have before.  I wonder if perhaps some people might be a bit like me. One of the centers is getting over-expressed and hence eating up a ton of shaktipat juice instead of getting the chance to be directed or used in a more useful manner? p.s. The reason Oupensky abandoned the Work in his old age is that he complained he never attained much mystical experiences from it. Then I found out the reason WHY he never achieved much. He was like me (except far worse) - he substituted thinking for doing. He never did Gurdjieff's sacred dances or movements for example. That's like a dieter complaining exercise doesn't work to help lose weight - all while their exercise equipment is gathering dust... well Duh..what'd you expect Oupensky?  Serene,  Great post! There have been times where I have liberated thought and had mountains of energy for doing. Then I go back to the over thinking mode and slow down.  Which book are you reading? I have several including "All and Everything"  Thanks  ralis
