voidisyinyang Posted January 7, 2010 Most of this is rehashed material. The first couple chapters are newly written for the most part. Otherwise the purpose of the book is for people who did not want to read my blog material online. Obviously a book on its own will not rewire someone's synapses unless they are already open to the information.  But there's a few reoccurring idiocies on Taobums -- sort of like holographic illusions  1) the dopamine addiction which keeps people stuck in the fear-anger-sex cycle  2) the inability for males to focus on ionization to create the chi or electromagnetic fields  3) The fixation on physical strength so that "proof" means threats of violence, etc. as if that will help a person develop chi. This final point is just the "herd mentality" where scared people are looking for safety in numbers.  4) The submission of will through money -- once a person is convinced to hand over their money then that person has a vested interest in submitting their will at the get go to the person who got the money. Half of the solution is KNOWING the problem as psychology teaches -- so should half of the qigong training simply be submission of will by a voluntary loss of money? haha. So sad yet people are so gullible in the U.S. with the commodity fetish so rampant.  If the above reoccurring energy blockages can be overcome on taobums then people can find breakthroughs on this site. I highly recommend not relying on a person advertising themselves as your main means of deciding whether to pay them money! haha.  In the U.S. we have the salesmen economy where half of the product is just the "good show" by a person pushing their crap! haha.  In China traditionally qigong masters were not supposed to advertise themselves at all -- only through word of mouth of others who had been treated successfully would a qigong master then also heal more people.  This is why I repeatedly post the testimonies of those who have been healed by Chunyi Lin as their reports are dramatically different than anything else posted on taobums.      http://www.springforestqigong.com/testimonials.htm  Notice how these people are NOT the same as the person claiming to have the energy transmission abilities. gendao Posted January 7, 2010 COOL, thanks! 1) the dopamine addiction which keeps people stuck in the fear-anger-sex cycleI think most addictions are due to the users craving dopamine, right? And for some reason, perhaps their natural levels are too low or they lack dopamine receptors - which causes them to seek outside sources? So, how do you fix this and cure their addictions? As in, reduce their craving for dopamine or restore their natural production of it?
voidisyinyang Posted January 7, 2010 (edited) http://www.nytimes.com/2002/02/19/health/1...mp;pagewanted=1 Â It's not about the amount of dopamine -- there's two main dopamine circuits in the brain. One is conscious and the other is subconscious. MOST people are controlled by their subconscious dopamine circuit because it has a faster reaction time. Dopamine is activated by movement plus reward (sex, gambling, eating, drugs, impulse buying) while meditation is based on INHIBITING the dopamine -- so you are activating your dopamine but in reverse. Â So this article talks about "vulnerable" dopamine systems by people who lack the prefrontal conscious awareness to inhibit the dopamine reward feedback signals: Â "When people expect a reward and do not receive it, their brains need a way to register the fact that something is amiss so it can recalibrate expectations for future events, Dr. Cohen said. As in monkeys, human dopamine neurons project to areas that plan and control movements, he said. Fluctuating levels of dopamine make people get up and do things, outside their conscious awareness. The number of things people do to increase their dopamine firing rates is unlimited, neuroscientists are discovering. Several studies were published last year looking at monetary rewards and dopamine. Money is abstract but to the brain it looks like cocaine, food, sex or anything a person expects is rewarding, said Dr. Hans Breiter, a neuroscientist at Harvard. People crave it. Â Some people seem to be born with vulnerable dopamine systems that get hijacked by social rewards. The same neural circuitry involved in the highs and lows of abusing drugs is activated by winning or losing money, anticipating a good meal or seeking beautiful faces to look at, Dr. Breiter said. Â For example, dopamine circuits are activated by cocaine; people become addicted when their reward circuits have been hijacked by the drug, Dr. Montague said. Â Winning in gambling can also hijack the dopamine system, Dr. Berns said. Many people visit a casino, lose money and are not tempted to go back. But compulsive gamblers seem to have vulnerable dopamine systems, he said. The first time they win, they get a huge dopamine rush that gets embedded in their memory. They keep gambling and the occasional dopamine rush of winning overrides their conscious knowledge that they will lose in the long run." Â Â Â COOL, thanks! voidisyinyang Posted January 9, 2010 (edited) Mal if you want to be my secretary? My blog has a list of my online articles http://naturalresonancerevolution.blogspot.com  So go for it -- all my stuff is anti-copyright. You can even register under my name with a slightly different format -- say "drew hempel"  Umm... as far as lulu goes I can't copy the book once it's in their database and I already destroyed my computer copy as I'm using my mom's computer on the sly....  Most of the book material is rehashed from my blogbook and various blog posts I had -- except for the first chapter which is newly written. My blog book is called "deep disharmony" -- so you can google it with my name, etc.  First people ask for a book -- so I give it to them.  Then they ask for articles -- haha -- ALREADY DID THAT.  Now what?  http://www.nonduality.com/whatis8.htm  My online articles, masters thesis, and lulu.com book: http://www.lulu.com/content/8177540 http://www.hiddenmysteries.org/themagazine...-justice1.shtml http://www.viewzone.com/rainbow.html http://www.mind-energy.net/archives/151-Th...ic-Healing.html http://www.mind-energy.net/archives/264-Ag...-Harmonics.html http://www.mind-energy.net/archives/259-Ho...-Gurdjieff.html http://www.martialdevelopment.com/blog/qig...mpel-interview/  Would be nice to have this in contributed articles.
