DanC Posted January 22, 2010 Anyone read "Cultivating the Ch'i: The Secrets of Energy and Vitality " by Stuart Olsen. Looks interesting, I cannot do Chi Kung or meditations that require visualizations, I feel it really creates tension for me and doesn't feel right for me. Anyone got any reviews on this style of Chi Kung??
UTI Posted January 22, 2010 I read the book, but didn't like it too much. can't pinpoint why, I think I just don't really like SAO. My taiji teacher is teaching me the taiji qigong sequence, i'm going to ask him to comment on the sequence in the book (especially the original illustrations), since he teaches it differently (stance and stuff is different). DanC Posted January 22, 2010 Is it a fairly easy form, or is it complicated..
UTI Posted January 24, 2010 Yes, it is very simple, but the way he shows it in the book I don't think it will do too much to your taiji proficiency... I'll know more after I talk to my teacher tomorrow.
