What the heck happened to the old tao site

Is it just me or does this new tao site seem a bit cluttered. I liked the simplicity

and clarity of the old site.

 

For one, the Tao Bums seemed to be unique before, but now it just seems like another

forum on the web. The site is too generic. I guess I don't like this new design.

 

I seemed to spend too much time scrolling and scrolling...

 

Topics are also confused with the color coordination. Its supposed to look nice, but it

makes reading material worse.

I agree, see the 'Forum Upgrade' thread. It looks like Sean is seeking a web designer's services to get the thing more aesthetically similar to the old site, as the current form actually heavily affects the actual content and participation or lack thereof.
