When I lived in Taipei, I met a young American from San Fran who lived in Meteora, Greece and said he met amazing ascetics living in that area, with a similar mindset to Chinese Taoists. :)

Barabar Caves, in India. Used by Buddhists and Jains.

 

Glad you enjoyed the photos. Certainly the chi related to the earth element contains the perfect balance of Yin and Yang. For instance, whenever I visit an area with a high number of granite rocks I feel like in heaven.

Strange synchronicity

 

I've accepted to hold a talk on climbing and philosophy and roamed the net to find good examples on mans relationship to mountains.

 

Think I've touched on this subject too many times before to really add anything.
