dao zhen Posted March 26, 2010 Wander like a cloud.... In ancient China, those seeking the truth of The Way would wander through the sacred mountains and temple areas seeking wisdom and truth, wandering like a cloud. These seekers of wisdom took the Earth as their bed and the Sky as their blanket. They strove to become one with Heaven and Earth. The ancient traditions of Tao have inspired us to create clothing for the modern day Taoist. Whether you're a Tai Chi player, a practitioner of Qigong, Kung Fu, Tao Yoga, an acupuncturist, a massage therapist, or even a poet or artist we have the styles to reflect your life, love and personal philosophy. We are Empty Cloud Clothing!

gendao Posted March 26, 2010 (edited) Is this simply subtle spam? Hey, starving ascetic monks gotta put some rice in their bowls too! Anyhow, Jesse has made some of the most spectacular posts on this forum EVER, so I don't mind a few ads from him. His signal-to-noise ratio is still one of the highest here. And I hope he posts some more content again! Edited March 26, 2010 by vortex
tyler zambori Posted March 26, 2010 Usually I buy t-shirts for a buck at the thrift shop. Right now I'm wearing a t-shirt that says: "Freedom to Control your Casino's destiny: WMS Max Your Edge." I got it for free when a show I was working was over. The booth-builder gave it to me. hehehe Not exactly *spiritual* I guess....
Trunk Posted March 26, 2010 ~~~ TheTaoBums Moderation Team ~~~ 233 posts from surfer Dao Zhen and this one advertisement that is Tao related. No problem. If 232 of the posts were advertisements, and only 1 was other discussion - well, then we'd have something. - Trunk ~~~ Mod Squad out ~~~
Mal Posted March 26, 2010 Once in a Asian movie I saw a traditional piece of under clothing. It was like a sash that wraps around the belly and kidneys. Always wanted one as I can get a chill in my lower back when sleeping if my singlet rides up during the night. Anyone know what that piece of clothing is called or where to get one? p.s. love the nice
Mal Posted March 26, 2010 I want a Taobums T shirt ... can you still get them? Yes http://www.zazzle.com/the_tao_bums_tshirt-235323559395009098 all sorts of T shirts types like Micro-Fiber (perfect for training) as well as Destroyed or Burnout for that authentic bum look! p.s. I have no idea where the money goes for these, it was set up a long time ago, but I guess it's to Sean. Perhaps we should update with a new banner option, or some bumper stickers and magnets? soaring crane Posted March 27, 2010 Considering the intro text, I was expecting clothing with a little more... substance, lol. $450 organic silk Taiji suits, etc. But the T's are still pretty cool, made me smile when I opened the link
Mal Posted March 28, 2010 There was this thread on traditional Chinese clothing But Lin moved to the US and the cost became too expensive to make the clothes. Once in a Asian movie I saw a traditional piece of under clothing. It was like a sash that wraps around the belly and kidneys. Apparently that's called a ming men warmer, but I still can't find any links to buy one. I guess I could sleep in my kung fu sash........ but that is a bit weird even for me
