Maxfieldstillwater Posted March 29, 2010 Hi, I'm new and looking for inspiration. I would like a more centered life. A life centered outside of myself. I am a novice at meditation. Does anyone recommend a book or video that can help me?
Trunk Posted March 29, 2010 Welcome to TTBs. Â Hi, I'm new and looking for inspiration. I would like a more centered life. A life centered outside of myself. I am a novice at meditation. Does anyone recommend a book or video that can help me? Â A number of good things to learn... - foundation meditation of following the breath - still standing postures, ck chu's book is good, but any simple instruction of simply standing and breathing - people tend to like spring forest qigong as a system. - hang out and you'll hear all kinds of tips here. Taiji Bum Posted March 29, 2010 Welcome to da Bums. The above advice by Trunk is great. The hardest thing about meditation is just getting started. I must have read 40 books on it before I sat down and tried it for the first time. The "watching your breath" meditation will stick with you your entire life. Start with it and stick with it. Good fortune on your journey!
