Marblehead Posted April 8, 2010 (edited) He who is brave in daring will be killed. He who is brave in not daring Will be let alone to live. Â With these two things, In one case there is profit, In the other there is harm. Â And even if Heaven dislikes certain people, Who would know who are to be killed and why? Therefore the Sage regards it as a difficult question. Â The things Heaven hates! Â Who knows why? Â Â Edit to add: Â I did not find anything from Chuang Tzu that spoke directly to this concept. I think it is just an observation that is beyond explanation. Edited April 8, 2010 by Marblehead

Marblehead Posted April 8, 2010 Is ch. 38 one of the three that are all one long string in the Mawangdui texts? Hmmm... Now that I write it, I don't think it is, but no time to check...  Ciao  Remember, "my" chapter 38 is not 'Chapter 38 of the TTC'.  But to your alluded question, yes, there are chapters in the TTC that speak to a number of different concepts. What I am presenting separates these concepts into separate chapters. That is why "my" collection has more than 81 chapters.  Peace & Love!
