enouch Posted June 19, 2010 (edited) I've noticed when I release my essence I'm not quite as motivated [testosterone]but sometimes relieved by emitting. Yet in most esoteric systems jing conservation is so very important, whether hard kung fu or longevity schools [even five tibetan rites, six rite] jing is elevated as almost the ''elixir''.The American boxer Muhammad Ali sometimes wouldn't have sex for four months before a fight ,believing it helped him. Â I know it's been referenced as the densest part of chi-life force...any thoughts?,insights? Â Oh, I've heard[probably incorrect]from one bum that a lot of stem cells come from sperm. I guest I should go check [google]that now. Edited June 19, 2010 by enouch
Peterminator Posted June 19, 2010 The American boxer Muhammad Ali sometimes wouldn't have sex for four months before a fight ,believing it helped him. Â from Rocky movie (dont remember which part): Â "Burgess Meredith: "Get outta here!! Don't you ever interrupt me while I'm conductin' business! Move your little chicken asses out!... Listen, kid, you! You lay off that pet shop dame. Women weaken legs." Stallone: "Yeah, but I really like this girl, ya know?" Meredith: "Then let her train ya!" Stallone: "... Okay, no more foolin' around." Meredith: "Okay, now hit." Stallone: "Women weaken legs, huh?" "

Do you guys think people who engage in unbalanced sex age faster? We know what alcohol consumption can do to the skin and body.
Spectrum Posted June 19, 2010 What you eat how you breath and how you move all contribute to the condition of your primary energy fields. Continuing unbroken chains of practice is more important than obsessining over bodily function. You can expect progress by following your peaks and troughs. Sloppy Zhang Posted June 19, 2010 Tao Apprentice says that he has a friend who has an uncle who's bangin' chicks, and this guy's in his 80's.  I think a large part of it his how you handle the energy and how much of your body you are connected with.  Most people aren't connected with the legs. It's hard to stay connected with the legs. During sexual activity, energy and blood is drawn to the genitals. Part of this blood and energy is drawn from the legs. If you're already out of touch with your legs, then this makes the connection even worse.  A lot of guys feel drained after sex. Some guys don't. Some guys feel energized after sex.  You can move around the sexual energy like you can move around other types of energy. During sexual activity, you can help it to re-energize your body. You can train so you stay connected with your legs, and in fact, your entire body, during sexual activity.  Getting your whole body into the process, not just your man parts, is a big part of helping to stay energized. I read one guy saying that he had sex before a fight, and that fight was the best fight he's had in his entire life.  If you good "sex before a fight" you get all kinds of results on it. A lot of people say a lot of different things. Which is true considering there are a lot of different people in the world  I say do what works for you. Forget what other people are saying, listen to your own body. The whole "do this" or "not do this" because you "must conserve jing" leads to a whole lot of problems, and I best most people lost more jing and qi and all sorts of other things trying to conserve it than they did when they didn't even care. Birch Posted June 20, 2010 Dude, you just said "man parts"  Â Ok, back to serious. As far as I can figure "Jing" is not just "sexual essence" - in fact it's a level/variant/frequency whateva (specialists please help terms?) that is a different (grosser?) level than other types of energy classification. It's tempting to say it's "electrochemical" rather than "electromagnetic" but then I'd be tying on wrong terms.

I think a lot of people have already pretty much said that equating jing with semen or saying that you waste jing (only) during sex isn't really accurate. That said, I think in general you're more right than I was in reference to what I posted above, but when enouch said...  I've noticed when I release my essence  I was thinking of him working out his third leg   [edit] For stems cells- there are several different types of stem cells and they come from several different places, so if you're worried about stem cells.... you probably won't have to. You have other stem cells that can turn into any cells you lose when you "release your essence" anyway Edited June 20, 2010 by Sloppy Zhang
Vanir Thunder Dojo Tan Posted June 20, 2010 food for thought; in training to endure: Â Inconsistent training, intentionally throwing yourself off balance and out of stride.... for the purpose of endurance. Â Â By consistently maintaining inconsistency in your practices, you get "thrown off", unbalanced, and this makes practice more difficult. Â Â By making practice more difficult than necessary by maintaining inconsistent training, it becomes that much easier to maintain consistently in active practice. Â Â It's all about exercising your mind, body, energy, and spirit.

Those in the know are well aware how important jing conservation is...just ask Yan Xin, Wang Liping, or John Chang. I was wondering about its effect on aging or staying youthful though.
