There be Dragons

Recommended Posts

Thank you so much for finding that for me! I'm really looking forward to seeing how that story plays out. It is so well done on so many levels, I mean in terms of accuracy, not of the magic, but of the other stuff.

i was not disapointed in the ending : )

I am sure you will like this smile.gif :

Yes, the flowing shown in the beginning is magnificent, also there are some strange looking moves in there that I've never seen in tai chi.

I heard of Hunyuan tai chi from Gao Fu, who taught me Chen style and Hunyuan chi kung. Her teacher was Feng Zhiquiang, is the guy in the video in Feng's clan?

My pleasure, zeros.

Something like this:

this is your sketch?

interesting, the head is very much shaped (almost exactly) as my visitor . but the frill/crown was very much more like the white dragon.

Yes you're right, in the video there are some Baji Quan and XingYi Quan moves. The guy is the main disciple of Feng Zhiqiang, he will continue the lineage of Hunyuan style which is considered different than standard Chen style.

I just drew that sketch, the other sketch I refered to is a front view, and I drew that a few days after the visit.

Concerning the frill, it may not be so accurate in the side view because I only saw it face on, the frill seemed to fade into the dim distance (so it may have been larger) and I was mainly focusing on the face and soul gazing onto the eyes.

I assume by the white one you mean the one described in the video of that seer from England who described what she saw? I'll have to look at that again.

The front view sketch I drew is a quick one so it looks too foreshortened. I would need to apply artistic tricks to give it the look of depth ... and, since it's been around a year or so since the visit the memory of details she fades a bit over time.

Could you please describe the frill on the one that came to you as to how it was different.

hmm, i did look thru 1000's of images of dragons today. maybe now i can imagine what it would feel like sitting in a detective's office looking thru mugshots, trying to pick the individual . but this dragon i am trying to identify is not a criminal that i am aware of. so i kinda have mixed feelings about it. i could never finger (rat out)a friend.

there were 3 diferent images and while none of the 3 is an exact match. if i took parts of each i could compose a single image that would be very very close. i dont know how i could do that. maybe i will have

do some sketching.

i did run across this

I vote this the single best post of the week. I had not seen this TED talk before. Thanks for sharing.

i like to share, and I'm thankful that I have some people sending me this awesome information so that I can share it.

Actually that talk is of monumental significance because it proves to me any to anyone who is open, that there really is a lot more to reality than the moguls would have us believe, and they work really really hard at telling us what to believe.

What it tells us is that the reality of seeing deeply in the manner she describes is simply a matter of modifying our brain activity (do more art - do only art) to be more right brain dominant.

And this then brings us to the highest attainment possible in chi kung, which is way way way beyond the fundamentalist concept of Buddhist enlightenment, and that is working to connect the left and right sides of your brain ... which comes long after automatic access to all the Akashic record, which is called omniscience.

There is also something very interesting on her forehead, a symbol of sorts, and it is discussed in my Taoist forum, in which fundamentalists of any type, including Buddhists, are not allowed.

A stroke of insight

Is that you Robert Lee??? Have you released any new albums recently??

I do so miss your melodic tones.

I found that video and watched it. I cried more strongly and longer than ever before. He left us at such a young age.

Thank you for doing that work, I'll check it out. Also, on reviewing my side view drawing I noticed where I made some mistakes on the frill so I'll redraw it.
