voidisyinyang Posted August 7, 2010 i have been doing full lotus for a while now how long of 20 minutes of full lotus every day will it take me to open up my chaneels and third eye  You probably want to also do the "small universe" or "microcosmic orbit" exercise to open up the third eye. You can get the practice c.d. from http://springforestqigong.com or the free online book detailed the steps to open the third eye from http://www.scribd.com/doc/2672168/Mantak-Chia-Awaken-Healing-Energy-through-the-Tao  If you do start full lotus to open the third eye you'd have to sit 2 hours in full lotus nonstop every night -- without skipping any nights -- for at least 3 months. Besides storing up the energy you build from that practice. That's a severe approach while the "small universe" exercise combined with the full lotus enables a more accessible avenue. Anyway you asked about the bound lotus -- I tried it once but couldn't do it. haha. Still if there's females around I can sit in full lotus for hours nonstop as long as I don't have to use the can. haha.  So the important thing is to understand how alchemy works -- I recommend studying the book "Taoist Yoga: Alchemy and Immortality" translated by Charles Luk. http://www.mediafire.com/?1owotofjjzr That will get you the book -- but keep in mind it's very intense. It takes a long time to decipher the terms and I got to chapters 9 to 11 in terms of the practice level in the book but it takes you "all the way."
