NorthWide Posted August 17, 2010 Great post. Yes, much different than the way we see things done today. Today I see a lot of sociopathic paranoid obsessive compulsion epitomized by Niccolo Machiavelli's the prince.  Dont worry, no coprright. 600 years too late for that. Should be public domain by now.  http://books.google.com/books?id=KdZZAAAAMAAJ&dq=niccolo+machiavelli+the+prince&printsec=frontcover&source=bn&hl=en&ei=PxNrTJKfMoKClAf10NCgAg&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=11&ved=0CEQQ6AEwCg#v=onepage&q=niccolo%20machiavelli%20the%20prince&f=false  But its very true. The original copyright is long gone.  But yes, we all have our opinions and most of us are unwilling to even listen to an alternative point of view.  Kings (governments) are especially guilty of this, I think. The learders rarely listen to the people and it is my opinion that none of them has ever studied history because they keep making the same mistakes over and over again.  Actually, I think this chapter fits in well with the thread Blasto just started.  Peace & Love!
